I literally rushed this in the little free time I got and now I'm EXTREMELY tired...😴
As noted in the title, this is the "rough" copy ish of the real story..
I don't have time to edit it and I really wanted to publish this story....😥
The first few readers will have a chance to read the draft and comment before I MIGHT take down this chapter and publish the good copy if necessary....

I stumbled my way back to the prison, tripping over wood trunks and small animals who were scavenging for food at night.
Yea yeah I know, it's a bad idea to go to the prison at night. But I HAD to go!
I ran up to the prison gates and took out the key Pisces gave me, fiddling with it.
The clinging sounds probably woke up Scorpio, who was protecting ViVi and sleeping with her, rocking her and singing quietly a song I didn't know.
I must ask him to sing it to me one day!
Scorpio made eye contact with me and gave me mini glare as he mouthed the words 'Go home! You'll get hurt!'.
I glared back at him and mouthed the words 'Stupid(Or Baka)! I'm saving you!!!'
I finally opened the gate, but the door was fairly small, enough for the younger prisoners. ViVi woke up and looked at the opening with wide eyes of amazement.
Freedom.

All the younger kids woke up and ran through the small door, cheering for freedom when they finally got. I put a finger to my lips trying to tell them to quiet down as the noise slowly died down.
As the last prisoner came out, who was Scorpio, I pointed to my house and signalled all the kids to go to my house for safety. All the kids slowly tip-toed to my house, trying to stay as quiet as they can. The guards thankfully were on the other end of the prison so they couldn't see the great escape.
I sighed happily. Finally my mission is complete.
I started wondering what exactly was my mission... Who save Scorpio? But why him..?
I knew Pisces would be happy with me. But on the other hand how can an animal feel anything towards humans other than hatred? We destroyed their homes.
ViVi was slower than the others as her leg was wounded probably from a bomb.
She struggled along as the other kids ran on ahead.
Just as all the kids arrived at my house, ViVi tripped on a trash can that I was too lazy to collect. The trash can smashed the ground and created a explosive sound that rang across the neighbourhood. All the kids instantly became quiet.
Footsteps.... Someone is coming!!!!

I ran to the door and pushed it open, rushing the kids as they ran inside, pushing and tackling each other to go in. I shook my head, ashamed. Typical human nature.
ViVi was still lying on the ground next to the trash can with a sprain leg.
No one bothered turning around to save her, even though she was the one who cared most for all of them. ViVi finally stood up on shaking legs and tried walking to the entrance of my home. I was pushed against the door because of the selfish kids, fighting to get inside to safety. Scorpio was also trying to get through to ViVi but he was pushed around by the helpless crowd.
I finally reached ViVi, who was so scared she froze on the spot. Just as I reached out to her with my hand I heard a loud BANG! followed by ViVi collapsing.
3 solders followed by about 20 more had their riffles up and pointing towards my direction.
"Freeze or we'll shoot!" One of the tallest solders shouted.
"Just shoot them!" Another solder shout back, "We don't have enough jail cells for all of them!"
The solders argued among each other while the kids all ran inside.
I didn't want to move because if I moved it'll be too obvious, I just closed my eyes and hoped the solders would keep fighting until I have an opportunity to sneak away.
At least I fulfilled my role in keeping the kids safe.... For now....

I thought all the kids were running inside but instead they ran towards the solders with kitchen knives, broken chipped wood, and whatever else they found.
The solders turned and started shooting, every second that passed 2 kids fell.
I stood there frozen for awhile before coming back to my senses and running into the house. I ran-crawled up the stairs and grabbed the crystal before leaving.
I thought the kids would've all fallen but instead the solders all retreated, bowing down to 2 unknown figures in the distance.

The kids all froze and I ran up to see what happened.
Aries?!
There she was, with a mysterious man smiling at us as if we were toys or money.
"So Master Aries..., when shall we launch the bomb?" The man asked calmly as if he was asking for food.
Aries turned to me and grinned, "Hey Canny! Wasup?"
I just stood there looking at the bomb in her hands, the bomb twice the size of her head. She held onto it like a teddy bear.
"A-Aries?...-" I choked, "What in the world are y-you doing?!"
She laughed, "I'm pure brilliant!my invention worked out perfectly! I shouldn't share this world with half-wits!"
"Aries please stop!! I beg you!" I crawled down to my knees, "What happened to my shy friend, who was always kind and friendly?! Wh-who changed you?! Y-you can't be Aries!!!"
"You sicken me.., in the world of survival only the strong survive. The weak deserve to shrivel away and die. It's just the way of life." She shrugged.
The man beside her stood formally, like the same man who took Aries away 4 months ago. "Master...."
"Ya ya I know.., I just wanna chit chat with my old friend for awhile!" Aries giggled.
I slowly backed away from Aries, my old friend.... No, I don't know her anymore.
She's not the girl I know... She's a mere shadow. I have to believe that.

A helicopter landed beside Aries with precision with a poor beaten child flying it.
Aries laughed and nearly got me confused for a second. Her laugh never changed.
"Well, I hafta go now Cancer! See ya in...... Maybe 100 years when I die!" She casually winked.
Aries tossed down the bomb then ran into the helicopter, flying out of sight within seconds.

I started to panic, I had NO idea how to defuse bombs!!!
But if Aries was smart enough to make it I MIGHT be able to....-
A pair of hands hugged me from behind. "I'm...sorry...."
I just stood there for minutes, wrapped around by Scorpio before I pushed him away to examine the bomb. Scorpio looked at me miserably.
"There's no point. At least we should all die happy. Wanna play....something...-" He forcefully coughed out the last 3 words, clearly he's also in shock.
The sound of the ticking echoed through the quiet streets that were once filled with cars and happy children. Now dead bodies lied in every direction.
Wait, is Scorpio and I the only escaped prisoner alive?! B-but.....
I could already imagine Pisces snarling at me, he wasted his life on an useless child.
I suddenly thought of something VERY stupid. That I HIGHLY doubt would work.
But either ways I'd rather die hugging onto Scorpio than dying alone.
I ran up to Scorpio and embraced him, holding the crystal my grandfather gave me between us. The crystal shone a bright gold colour and felt as warm as the sunlight that used to exist before the world was covered in dust and ashes.
Just as the bomb exploded the crystal also exploded into bright sparks of gold that consumed the world.

"Cancer! Cancer wake up!" Scorpio shook me gently.
I woke up dazed by the blinding light. On my arm shone 2 mysterious phrases.

The Past should remain Untouched unless the Future is in Grave Danger
Two identical beings cannot coexist unless one is to die

Alright. I'm so gonna kill whoever wrote that on my arm-
I looked at the glowing sun and the grassy fields. Where....-
"I think we're back in time..." Scorpio muttered in amazement.
I had too much in my head to think properly. I saved Scorpio.... I think.....
"Wh-what do we do now.....? We should be 5 years back...." I said weakly.
Scorpio looked at me like I'm an alien, "Are you kidding me?! What did you do?!"
I quickly explained to him about my grandfather and the crystal he entrusted me with. Scorpio sat there listening attentively.
When I was done Scorpio stood up and slapped himself in the face, as if he thought he was dreaming.
I walked around, trying to figure out where I am..... I know this is where I moved to.... Except 5 years back.... This is confusing.....
But if I'm not mistaken Aries once told me she never moved once in her life.... So I think I know where she lives.... B-but now what.....
Scorpio walked back from a nearby convenience store with a bag, and I assume he left while I was thinking....
"Let's go to Aries' house." He said confidently and took out a dangerously sharp knife from the bag.
I looked at him and he looked me back and we both knew what each other was thinking.
We got to kill Aries. Before she grows up.

Along the way to Aries' house Scorpio and I were discussing about the 2 phrases in my arm.
"So the first phrase is The Past should remain Untouched unless the Future is in Grave Danger. That obviously means we can't mess with the last unless the future is ruined,.... Which it is so I suppose we don't have to worry about that....." I mumbled,
"The second is Two identical beings cannot coexist unless one is to die. If this is like those Sci-fi books I read it means we have to die in order for our past selves to live.... GAH THIS IS CONFUSING!!!"
Scorpio stayed silent the entire trip to Aries' house, as if he was also in deep thought.
Once we arrived he finally spoke after 20 mins of silence from him, "I'll kill her. You don't need to bear anymore pain."
I nodded my head with gratitude.... Thank gods I don't need to kill my friend.
But it's not gonna be any better watching her die and knowing I agreed to this.
"I'll ring the door bell and you.... You do the thing as fast as you can...." I nearly cried between sentences, "Then we.... We should leave the past and let out past selves live their lives....."
Scorpio nodded, "I know a good mountain for jumping. It's beautiful there."
I looked at Scorpio's fierce eyes and tears rolled down my checks.

I walked up to the door steps and just as I was going to press the doorbell Scorpio leaned in and kissed me on the cheeks.
"I'm sorry...." He whispered in my ear before I felt a great pain in my chest.
Blood dripped down and I looked at him with eyes of betrayal.
"W-why?!?!" I cried, hugging my stomach in pain.
He swiftly pulled out the knife and stood up, "The past should not be changed."
Then he walked away.

I squeezed my eyes shut and screamed out in pain. Scorpio already disappeared.
I knew why. I don't know how but I knew. And yet I fell for it.
Scorpio looked almost exactly like the man who took Aries away.... And brainwashed her..... Why did I fall for his trap?
Maybe because I thought there was some good in that man... I trusted him....
The crystal regenerated in my pocket but I knew there was no one else I can trust to go back in time with again. My time is ending.

A young man was walking down the street and noticed me and a puddle of blood surrounding me. He ran up to me a looked at my dying face.
I reached out to him, holding out the crystal and recited what my grandfather told me, "Take this. Give this to your children or grandchildren.... Tell them....that Crystal can only be used by two people, only when you feel as if there's no hope. It'll take you back 5 years. Never use it out of greed!......."
The man nodded his head, "I'm sorry I can't help you. I'm poor and I don't have a phone.... I don't know why you're here but everyone else is at the festival.... Give me 5 mins and I'll run and get help for you...."
I smiled and shook my head, "it's alright. I'll....I'll be fine.....You can leave.... You might not want to see a random stranger dying...."
The man nodded again and walked to a little kid who was watching curiously.
"C'mon. Let's go Aqua."

Just before I left this world I remembered something....
Aqua was my Mother's name.....

So did you guys sortaaaaaa understand this.....?😅😅😅
It's like a time paradox..... It'll just repeat its self over and over again.
Yeah it's too confusing..... Sorry....😋
Oh, and I might write an alternative ending where Scorpio doesn't backstab Cancer....
Like a sorta happy death ending 😁

Oh and Lolz I forgot Sagi was Cancer's sis.... Thanks for pointing that out!
I changed it to Aqua so it makes more sense....
