☆ Aries ☆

"Come any closer and I will fry your nose off." 

Gender: female

Age: 16 almost 17

Appearance: Long red hair usually in a ponytail, red eyes, she had good and slightly muscled figure from playing sports so much. She usually wears sportsy oufits and never really gets cold, so she wears tank tops and shorts most of the time. 

Personality: Aries is... a classic tsundere. She's hot-headed, sharp, and fiery on the outside, but once you get through that she's actually really nice and a friend that will always stick up for you. All the bullies in the school are afraid of her, so I guess that says something. Aries is a bit hesitant to get close to anyone and isn't the best at handling emotions. 

Basic Info: Both of her parents are famous athletes, but Aries herself doesn't really want to show off her parentage or her very evident superpowers regarding sports. At a very young age she watched her house go up in flames, with her family barely surviving, and since that day has had a fear of fire and refuses to cook anything or use fire or get too close to it. Since it was revealed that the person that set the fire was a close friend of family's, spurred by jealousy, she has had a hard time trusting and making friends ever since and has developed a steel barrier around her heart, much like Aquarius has. As a result, she is kind of clueless about emotions and relationships. 

☆ Leo ☆

"No! Stop! I need to put on my makeup!"

Gender: female (FINALLY YESSS)

Age: 17

Appearance: long curly blonde hair that is usually coiffed carefully, yellow-brown eyes. She's what people would call 'a voluptuous beauty'. Always dressed stylishly and takes forever to get ready in the mornings, usually Aries needs to get her after the first hour. 

Personality: Leo is first and foremost on the outside, excessively vain and narcissistic. Under that, she's actually not that bad with a sense of decency. She can be slightly clueless about normal things like how to cook food but has the best fashion sense and is the most stylish, an A-List trendsetter. 

Basic Info: Leo dreams to become a famous idol and use the money for charity and good. Her family was always showing her off as their 'golden girl', so that's part of the reason why she is so vain. She expected attention as a child and was immensely spoiled, until somebody corrupted her father's acting career and basically destroyed her whole life. It took her mother a long time to rebuild them again, and since that day Leo has revised her view on the world; it wasn't there to give her everything she wanted. She realized that her parents were shaping her to be their support financially through her good looks and natural charm, and was willing to help her parents. She always helps the poor because of that.

☆ Sagittarius ☆

"I guess throwing darts is an okay replacement for archery... I mean destroying the room would be bad."

Gender: male

Age: 17

Appearance: Sagittarius is a very handsome young man with always bed-head-style brown-blonde hair and warm brown eyes. He's almost always seen with his pillow, earbuds, and hoodie that also double as a blanket.

Personality: Sagittarius seems really lazy and sleepy on the outside, but in reality he's surprisingly knowledgable about just about everything, from emotions to subjects, and good to go to for some console (though you might have to shake him awake first). This is how he didn't completely bomb school. 

Basic Info: Sagittarius could be A. a super-popular guy or B. an archery superstar but nooooooo. He likes to sleep. And sleep. And sleep. 50% of the time he sleeps and 50% he does archery and dart throwing. He's actually really smart and is a genius, but just... likes sleep more. When he's actually awake he's scarily good at aiming, and can strike bull's-eyes without even looking or facing backward, etc. He's lazy now because his father always expected him to do more than perfect, and he doesn't wish to do follow his father's 'dream path' for him. 

☆ Taurus ☆

"Don't consider my kindness as my weakness. The beast inside me is sleeping, not dead."

Gender: male

Age: 15

Appearance: silky shoulder-length brown hair, golden "innocent" eyes with slightly long bangs sometimes in a ponytail. Usually wears casual clothes. His hair grows really fast, as Libra noted, having to give him a haircut at least three times a month. 

Personality: Taurus is normally an empathetic and caring young man, but when he gets angry or feels guilty he can become quiet, introverted, and cold. He has a slightly childish side when faced with new experiences or cool things. He is willing to get violent for his friends and can have a scary side when provoked. He can also be super stubborn.

Basic Information: He grew up alone after his dad committed suicide and in grief, his mother flew into insanity and abandoned him on the streets. Libra found him all alone and raised him as her sibling for most of his life and taught him everything he knew. Due to that he can be slightly difficult to trust suspicious people, and has a fear of loneliness above all else. Taurus will do anything for his friends and tends to feel immensely guilty every time anything happens to them. He doesn't like it when people use or sacrifice others to get what they want and always works his best to make sure everyone is happy in some way or another.

☆ Virgo ☆

"When your life is over, Nature becomes your only friend."

Gender: male

Age: 17

Appearance: tousled green hair, green eyes and glasses. Likes wearing nature-themed clothing and colors like green, black, and brown. 

Personality: Virgo is kind of shy and soft-spoken. He would prefer being the wallflower than being the one in the spotlight all the time. He loves nature and is highly empathetical with a certain affinity for nature and animals; he gets along the best with Pisces as a result. Virgo can get embarrassed kind of easily and is considered the introvert type. 

Basic Info: He grew up with his single mother who was unstable, alcoholic, and a conner after his dad, who was just as bad, abandoned them. Virgo learned how to fend for himself and how to take care of people in this time period, and he coped with his mom through means of nature and animals. He found that nature was the way for him to not reach unstableness himself from dealing with his mother every day, finding it mind-calming and soothing. Unfortunately, his dad popped in out of the blue and disowned his mother, and his mother proceded to kill herself, and Virgo moved out into the apartment since his dad took over his old house. 

☆ Capricorn ☆

"I won't do it! I won't! I-ohhhh, is that a pile of new books?! Yes yes yes I will do it!"

Gender: female

Age: 17

Appearance: long purple-bubblegum-pink hair that reaches down to her knees that is slightly streaked with yellow-green towards the end. Purple eyes touched with gold. Capricorn likes to wear flowy, free clothing and doesn't really care if they're revealing skin or anything. 

Personality: Capricorn has a great love for knowledge and prizes that above all else; thereby it is really easy to tempt her with the prospect of knowledge or books. She's really studious and can be found most of the time in her room studying or at a library reading. 

Basic Info: She loves knowledge and learning and is a child prodigy, being very skilled and having an exceptional memory. Once her parents learned of this they started expecting her to be their perfect daughter, expecting nothing less than 100%s every time and would abuse her every time she didn't. That is part of the reason why she studies so much-in the beginning it was to please her parents, but once they had both got pushed out of the picture she started finding real freedom and fun in learning new things. Capricorn doesn't like being used for other things and proudly calls herself 'a free soul'. 

☆ Gem & Mini ☆

Gender: twin girls (Gem is older)

Ages: 16 & 16

Appearances: Gem has long pink hair usually in a high and long ponytail with matching colored eyes. Mini has long blonde hair usually in two high twin pigtails and blue eyes, and their hair is tied with upright black ribbons. Both of them wear mainly black seifuku outfits and heels.

Personalities: Both of them, due to their upbringing, have slightly unstable personalities. Mini in particular has a crazily ambitious nature and is a bit haughty. Gem is outwardly more respectful but has a similar personality. They can fly into a state of something like insanity when angered or, in particular, get looked down upon. They hate that. 

Basic Information: Their parents didn't want to have twins so thereby they were both shunned and abused for most of their life until they finally decided that they had had enough and murdered their own parents, running away. They lived on the streets for a long time and developed a reputation as 'the Two-Faced Sisters' after killing a bloody path through the streets until the police finally caught them and turned them over to an asylum. After learning of their potential, however, the asylum manager let them go to school. They hate being looked down on. 

☆ Libra ☆

"STOP. FIGHTING. BEFORE. I KILL YOU ALL."

Gender: female

Age: 17

Appearance: Long brown hair that falls down her back. Really, really likes cashmere things, especially sweaters. Usually has headphones around her neck and a small notepad with her just in case she gets an idea and needs to write it down. 

Personality: Libra is a writer, and therefore is almost always drifting in her own little world, but once she snaps fully into the real world and is angry, she is hecka scary and in that mode everyone will listen to her. She also can't stand loud arguments and gets along well with Sagittarius and Scorpio especially. 

Basic Info: Compared to the other zodiacs, she had a pretty nice childhood, with warm parents and a happy household, but then her parents divorced and her dad married a not-so-nice woman who didn't appreciate Libra at all and secretly abused her verbally and physically sometimes, which is the sole reason why she moved to an apartment to get away from her stepmother. Also for privacy and quiet to write, since her stepsiblings were always going through her things and being very loud. That's part of the reason why she can command people with an iron fist.

☆ Aquarius ☆

"I follow nobody's rules but mine."

Gender: male

Age: 16 almost 17

Appearance: silky sort of long icy blue hair, deep cobalt blue eyes. Handsome face and is the poker-face master. He usually presents a cool and calm facade and dresses both semi-formally and casually, depending on the situation.

Personality: Aquarius is extremely smart and is considered a genius, being extremely strategic, analytical, and not below manipulating others to get what he wants. He almost always has a backup plan for things and enjoys bossing other people around. Aquarius also has a dry and sarcastic side for when the rest of the zodiacs get idiotic. 

Basic Info: Aquarius has learned not to trust anyone and to be on top since he was young. He was trained to be the most perfect he could be and grew up in an extremely competitive and stiff family in which you either climbed to the top or you got trampled by others and got thrown out. Therefore he has trust issues and is a rather cold and closed-off individual. He hates his father with passion and he never really knew his mother. Aquarius hates following the rules and has always been the one to impose his own rules for himself, and vows never to be controlled ever again like he was. 

☆ Cancer ☆

"My heart is not guarded at all. I've moved it to my sleeve instead."

Gender: male

Age: 16

Appearance: reddish-peach hair color that is slightly spiky. He likes to make sure that he and his zodiacs all look their very best and while not vain like Leo is, Cancer does care a lot about his appearance and the world around him. 

Personality: Cancer is very intuitive and also emotional. He's extremely loyal, but can go through severe mood swings in a blink of an eye. He's great for pep talks or to go to for a heart-to-heart. He constantly changes his room to make it more beautiful and loves water-any kind. Cancer is a bit of a neat freak as well and has slight OCD.

Basic Info: While he may not show it on the outside, Cancer had a brutal upbringing. After his parents were brutally murdered one night he got thrown through one harsh foster home after another. Because of that, his personality started changing and he learned how to put up an act constantly of no fear. He craves real friendship and love and a real family. Cancer, just like Taurus, has a fear of being alone but unlike Taurus he will do anything to prevent that. His good looks and natural charm help him in that and because of his natural self, while it may seem that his heart is guarded by a wall, in reality all he did was move it down to his sleeve. 

☆ Scorpio ☆ 

"It's not just white-can't you see that it's many colors blending together?" 

Gender: male

Age: 16 

Appearance: White hair, slightly on the skinny side, and most of his clothes are paint-splattered. Dark eyes and has slight bags under his eyes as a result of his late-night painting. (he'll get up in the middle of the night if he gets an idea)

Personality: Scorpio is an artist first and foremost. He is very observative and is especially keen at noticing small, subtle things because of that and can name the entire color palette. Scorpio may seem sort of cold and blunt on the outside, but he's actually a very nice guy who tries looking at the best at everyone. That doesn't mean he doesn't have a sharp tongue, though, and  hates it when people interrupt his painting. 

Basic Info: Scorpio's dream is to become an artist and he's good at it too. He likes painting the best but works fine with graphite and etc. just fine. Scorpio used to have a younger brother, but then one day his brother got his hands on a knife and killed himself with it. Naturally his parents blamed him for that accident and Scorpio was abused most of his life because of that. He moved to the apartment to get away from this life and to finally paint in peace. Scorpio makes money for himself with his superb artistry skills and to show his parents that no matter what they said he would never break under them and could do things on his own.

☆ Pisces ☆

"I don't see why animals shouldn't be viewed at the same level as humans."

Gender: female

Age: 15

Appearance: blue hair usually in a long thick braid down her back and blue-themed clothing with fish on it if possible. Watery blue eyes and is slightly petite. Pisces also likes wearing a fish scale headband and matching pants. 

Personality: Pisces has a weakness for cute things, fish, and blue things. She likes eating blue foods excessively. She is also a bit naive, leaning on the childish side, and often says the wrong things at the wrong time. Pisces is very sincere and considers that every time she lies her soul gets 'tainted' more and more. 

Basic Info: Pisces has a fear of water after on a boat trip, their boat capsized and she nearly drowned, surviving barely, but her little sister, mother, and father were all drowned. She lived with her aunt who paid all of the attention to her own children and ignored her most of the time for a long time, finding solace in the stream in their backwoods and making 'friends' with the fish that swam there. She can cook fine if fish is involved, but will fail if there isn't any fish in the dish. Despite her upbringing, she is actually pretty good at making friends with her natural cuteness and innocence. She is campaigning for animals' rights.

Forget what I said about mild angst. 

THERE IS A LOT OF DARKNESS. 

In fact, the characters' backstories are the darkest I've ever written. (tell me which one you think is the darkest or your favorite!)

Why? 

I'm evil, and I wanted to try out how dark backstories would work out.

Don't worry, just remember that for every darkness there is a little light somewhere.
