Ben pov

I could not believe Ziniba. I trusted her and she took that trust and ripped it apart just like a lion. Maybe it wasn't smart trusting the daughter of a lion.

When I got to Mal's room Mal opened the door and looked surprised.

"Ben, what are you doing here?" Mal opened the door wider and pulled me in then closed the door. Evie, Carlos, Jay, and Dizzy were all there.

"What's going on?" I asked

"We wanted to talk to Ziniba about her breakup with Chad," said Mal.

I smacked my hand to my forehead and mentally cursed myself for being so stupid.

"What's wrong, Ben?" Carlos asked.

"Ziniba and Ned have gone back to the Isle," I said.

Everyone looked at me shocked except for Dizzy who was busily sketching a design.

"How?" Evie asked.

"She convinced me Mal had gone to the Isle and then after I gave her the keys to one of the limos and the barrier button and then she said that she got a text from Mal and I'd better go talk to her."

"That was the dumbest thing you have ever done, Ben," Dude said.

"She probably just misses the place and is mad at Chad. We can convince her to come back," Jay said.

"Did anyone know Ziniba was going to do this?" Mal turned to the rest of the VKs.

They all shook their heads except for Dizzy who was intently studying her sketch.

"Diz?" Evie said.

Dizzy mumbled something.

"What?" I asked.

"I may have gotten her ready to go," Dizzy said quietly.

"How?" Mal asked.

"She did Ziniba's hair, makeup, and helped her pick out an outfit." Dude piped up jumping off of Carlos' lap.

Dizzy glared at Dude.

"But why?" I asked.

"I didn't know what she was doing. I'm sorry." She looked like she was going to cry.

"It's fine," Evie pulled her into a hug.

"Let's talk to their roommates," Carlos suggested.

*******Time skip******

"You can't find them anywhere?" I asked in frustration.

"Yep," Jay answered.

I sat down in my chair and moaned then rang for a servant.

"Do you think they went with them?" Carlos asked.

"Genevieve maybe but I don't know about Tony."

Just then Ludwig appeared. He looked scared.

"You called sir?"

"Yes, were is Fairy Godmother?"

"In the library, I'll go get her." He started to leave but I called after him.

"Wait, Ludwig."

He turned around. "Yes, sir?" He looked as white as paper and was shaking like a piece of paper in the wind.

"What's wrong?"

He bit his lip and pulled out a folded parchment from his yellow coat pocket and handed it to me.

I unfolded it and read aloud:

Ludwig,

I overheard Ziniba, Ned, and Tony talking about going back to the Isle to get something so I'm going with them. Don't tell Ben.

Lou.

"Now we really need to go and get them," Jay said.

"If we had the barrier button," I said, rubbing my eyes and breathing deeply.

Ludwig had left but now came bursting in.

"They're coming back!"

We all raced down the stairs after Ludwig.

We got to the front just as the limo was pulling up. 

Ziniba's pov

"Oh, dang it, I'm dead," Lou said
as we drove up in front of the castle. The Vks, Ben, and a servant were waiting out front.

After we stopped I turned around and told everyone the plan.

As Ned, Tony, Genevieve, Lou and I got out of the vehicle the seven kids looked at us with a bit of anger and confusion in their eyes. The servant guy began to walk towards Lou but Lou gave him an evil glare that was like daggers making the servant retreat behind the villain kids. I taught him well.

"Ziniba, you misused my trust and-," Ben began.

"Can I talk to you in your office right now Ben... alone?" I interrupted.

He narrowed his eyes "Why?"

"It's really important. It's about the kids on the Isle and it can't wait," I said looking Ben in the eyes.

"Fine," he muttered and began to walk to the castle.

I turned and winked at Ned then followed.

I smiled at Ben sweetly but knew he wouldn't buy it.

 "What is it, Ziniba?"  

"I would like to ask a favor," I said, then remembered what a teacher of mine had once taught me about persuasion.

State the problem.

"I have been feeling really guilty about the people on the Isle lately I mean I even promised I wouldn't forget them."

Now, admit your own error.

"I know I went behind your back and tricked you. That was wrong."

State the other party's error.

"You don't plan on giving all the villian kids a chance."

Ben interrupted "Ziniba, yes we do."

I put my hand up "Ben, please hear me out."

He nodded for me to continue.

Propose specific compromises.

"I know certain kids who want to come here but the other villian kids didn't have very good experiences with them so they wouldn't dream of suggesting them. However, I know these kids and want to bring them here."

Invite mutual acceptance.

"I promise I won't break any more rules if you give me this chance."

Ben stared at his desk pondering.

"Let me think about." He said.

And the last rule: Give a deadline.

"Ben, I need the answer now."

He looked up into my eyes and I met his gaze until he broke.

I could hear footsteps in the hall that stopped by the office door.

"Who were you thinking of?"

"Harry son of captain Hook and Gil son of Gaston."

"What? No! They tried to kill me! Harry wanted to tear me apart with his hook and Gil's dad tried to kill my dad to get to mom-," he continued ranting for a bit while I just looked at him waiting for it to finish but got bored and cut in.

"Ben! See what I mean! You aren't willing to give ALL the villian kids a chance!"

"But Harry and Gil-" he began again.

"Ben! How do you think Audrey felt when you invited Mal the daughter of her mom's enemy!" On accident, I said Mal's name with a lot of venom so I tried to ease the mistake with: "And then imagine the pain when Mal stole you."

Ben stared at the papers on his desk for a bit then nodded.

"Fine. I will bring them to Auradon."

Sucker.

A knock came at the door.

"Yes?" asked Ben.

"It's Lou, Sir," came a voice at the other side of the door.

"Not now, Lou. I'll speak with you later."

I spoke up "Lou, please come in."

Ben gave me a look but then he gave a surprised look to the two people that entered behind Lou.

Harry and Gil looked at the ground nervously. 

I smiled. "I already have."
