Chapter 1 Part 7 - Edelfelt Mansion
A/N - I don't own anything except for my OCs in it, except one of those OCs named Zia, who actually belongs to Eris345 (Don't worry, I asked for her permission directly in PM) I hope you guys enjoyed this new story I uploaded.
Ingria opens the door of her prestigious mansion with white walls, pillars, golden chandelier, beautiful statues and a large stairs. The futuristic group drop their jaws as they look around the inside of the mansion. The blonde girl smirks and says, "Behold commoners! The wealth of one of the wealthiest magus family in our society!"
"..." Zim is completely speechless, having no idea what to say.
"Now, Archer, hand our pleasant guests some tea!" Ingria ordered her servant.
Archer rolls his eyes and groans, "Master. I'm your servant. Not a butler. There's a difference."
"Servant. Butler. They're all the same to me!" Ingria told him. "Or do you want a commend seal?
"Ugh..." Archer groaned again. "You're not seriously gonna-"
"On my commend seal-"
"Okay! Okay! I'll do it!" Archer shouted and whispers. "Father... save me from this spawn of Mundus..."
Archer walks away with a dreadful feel of humiliation while Saber chuckles and thought, "That's what he gets for calling me names."
"Really, Saber?" Zim blurted out, as he just read her thoughts.
"Zim! Inside voice!" Saber complained. "We have for a reason! Anyways, where's alcohol here!"
"Why on earth does a servant like you need alcohol?" Ingria asked her.
"Just... please..." Saber begged.
"... Since you say please, I will hand you some alcohol." Ingria told her. "I do have the finest alcohol from my great country, Finland!"
"Alright, alright." Saber rolled her eyes, "Where is it?"
"In the kitchen to your right and on the lower closets." Ingria told her.
"Thanks."
Saber walks away from the masters and Ingria says to Zim, "Come to my room, boy. I'll heal your sister there."
"... Ugh... fine. But I'll be there!" Zim argued, which she blushes a bit.
"... Ahem... I have to take your sister's sweater off in order to heal her..." Ingria told her.
"Whatever. I see her naked all the time." Zim replied.
Ingria's face turns pale as she looks at both Zia and Zim. She looks at Zia closer and realises she looks around the age of a middle schooler, so that's why Zim doesn't seem bothered by that idea... or maybe it's normal in his homeland. She wasn't sure cuz she's an only child.
"Fine. Let's go."
"Can we have tacos!?" Gir asked.
"Oh please, we do not have that peasant food here!" Ingria told him.
"Waffles?"
"... Okay. Waffles than." Ingria replied and telepathically yells. "Archer! Come with waffles too!"
"Yay!" Gir cheered.
Ingria walks upstairs with the trio and they all enter her room, where she has a massive bed, brown mattress, a light yellow make up desk, a few plush toys and a massive window that allows to see the backyard.
"Lay her on the bed." Ingria told Zim.
"Don't tell the great Zim what to do, earthworm!" Zim yelled back.
"Do you want your sister healed or not?"
"Ugh..."
Zim puts Zia on her bed and just as Ingria lift up her sweater to look for her wound... it's gone. Completely vanished. Her eyes widen in shock and looks at Zim, who has the same reaction.
"Zim... what's wrong?" Zia asked quietly.
"... Irkens have faster healing factor, but not THIS fast..." Zim muttered.
"Weird..." Ingria muttered. "She must have a ton of magic circuits than..."
"Magic circuits?" Zia asked her.
"Yes. I guess even aliens have those." Ingria theorised. "Magic circuits are like pseudo nervous circuits that spreads through a magus. This is what allows us to perform all of those magecraft and what helps us summon a servant."
"Anything else?" Zim asked.
"Yes. It's normally inheritance and not everyone has them. The average is twenty, but it is possible to have more if from a powerful bloodline such as myself, as I have 60 magic circuits, but my cousin has way more than that thanks to inheriting our family crest."
"Wow!" Zia said as she becomes more interested. "Is it possible to increase them?"
"No. It is predetermined since birth and once they're damaged, it is impossible to repair them." Ingria explained. "Using them however causes pain and numbness as they're the unnatural part of the body. Of course, quality over quantity is more valued such as the Aozaki bloodline as they can produce few, but high quality magic circuits."
"Wow... this is... wow... a bit confusing to grasp." Zia admitted.
"... I don't get it!" Gir blurted out.
"Ha! The great Zim totally understands what she's talking about!" Zim said.
"... Zim, don't lie." Zia said as she rolled her eyes.
"LIES!"
"Basically they are impossible to repair once damaged and their quantity mostly relies on bloodlines." Ingria simplified her explanation. "There. Happy?"
"Ah! That makes more sense!" Zia cheered.
"Okay. Now, back to what I was saying..." Ingria continued. "Those magic circuits are extremely valued in magus society and what allows us to qualify for the war."
"War?" Zia muttered as her face turns pale.
"Yes. The Holy Grail war normally comes every sixty years, but now..." Ingria muttered as she looks at the window, "It started fifty years earlier than it should."
"Why?" Zim asked her.
"That's what I want to know." Ingria told them "This is a battle arena... a fight to the death where only one pair survives and rewarded with a wish."
"Yeah, Saber-servant told me as much," Zim replied.
"Good. Than I don't need to explain about the Holy Grail," Ingria said.
"Is it the wishing maker?"
"Yes."
"Ah! Got it." Zim said. "So, what are the servants?"
"There are seven classes; Saber, Archer, Lancer, Rider, Berserker, Caster and Assassin," Ingria explained. "You already seen three, including your own. We should watch out for the Berserker as it's considered the most physically powerful servant out there while the Assassin, while weak, can easily kill a master like any servant as that's their purpose."
"Got it..." Zim said. "That's it?"
"Yes." Ingria replied.
She stands up and walks out of the room as she says, "I'll have to make a very important call. So, give me a moment."
She closes the door as she walks up to a telephone and start calling someone. A few minutes later... a soft, feminine voice speaks, "Hello?"
"Hello. It's me, Ingria."
"Ah... well if it isn't Ingria, a member of the Edelfelt family."
"Yes, yes, I know Caren!" Ingria replied. "Look. There's a new master wanting to register into the Holy Grail war, got that?"
"... A new one? Mmm... very well, I will gladly meet with him the next night." The woman, named Caren, replied.
"Got it. Bye."
"Bye."
Ingria puts away her telephone and groans, which Archer comes up with the tea and asks, "What happened this time, master brat?"
"Caren is what's wrong..."
"Ugh... I never liked her, honestly." Archer admitted.
"I don't either," Ingria replied. "But she's the overseer of this war and it's the rules to bring any new masters we found to her."
"Fine."
"For now, let's rest up." Ingria told him.
"While the enemy is here?" Archer asked with his eyebrow raised.
"You don't need sleeping, do you?"
"... No." Archer replied. "Us servants don't really require sleeping since... well... we're spirits, but you already know that. Don't you?"
"Yep!" Ingria replied. "Now let's go to sleep! Night!"
"... Night..." Archer replied.
Ingria went in her room, where she sees GIR sleeping on the floor, Zia resting up on her bed with her eyes close and Zim resting his head on the bed while keeping an eye on his sister. She takes a deep breath and whispers, "Don't worry. I'll look after her."
"... Zim don't trust you." Zim admitted.
"Well, I have no reason to hurting your sister." Ingria replied. "Tell me; what benefit would I gain if I harm your sister?"
"... Ugh..."
"Exactly!" Ingria said. "Now, there's a guest room on the ground-I-I mean, first floor to your left. You and your sister can sleep there."
"... Fine."
Zim gently picks up his sister and walks out of the room. Which Saber, with a can of beer, sees the two and asks, "Where are you going?"
"The guest room. You will escort us at once, servant!" Zim whispered; trying to avoid waking up his sister.
"Just because I'm a servant doesn't mean you can boss me around, brat!" Saber told him off. "Also. Try not to abuse your commend seals because you only get three. Once that's done, I can kill you if I want to," Saber said with a darken tone.
"... Zim will keep that in mind..." Zim responded.
Zim continues onto to the guest room with Saber following him from behind.
