Zig Zag

Reagan's mother was called Eliana.
Reagan's father was named Merlin.
And together, they cried.
They poured out their souls at her funeral, salty tears streaming down their cheeks in seemingly endless waterfalls.
And after the funeral they went home and slept for twelve and a half hours, waking up in a different world. An empty world, one with no emotion. A place with no sorrow, but no joy, and no pain, but no healing.
They went through the day with no sense of love nor hate, their bright world turned a nasty gray.
The storm of nothingness that swirled in their eyes was too much to bear so much that they each cried, without knowing why.
And then they were brought back to life.
The world was bright and beautiful once more.
