Zayn's Pov:

I want a happily ever after. I want a normal life. A life without expectation. A life without fear of the people I love getting hurt. If I didn't have this life, If I didn't have a target on my back things would be different. Things with Niall and I would be different. Any person would be lucky to have him beside them. The person who claims his heart won't ever know how lucky they are. I wish more than anything I could be that person. I want to be that person, But I just can't be. I'd bring danger to Niall that he dosen't deserve. People like me don't deserve the good things in life. We only ever get second best, Because that's all we deserve. It hurts not being able to love someone with everything you have, But in my world loving someone only brings pain. You love someone only to lose them in the most heart wrenching way. 

"Oh come on! What's wrong with it?" I heard Louis state as I walked down the stairs, I raised my eyebrow before walking into the living room. Louis, Liam and Niall were sat around with colour charts scattered all over the coffee table. 

"Were not painting the babys room dark purple" Niall said. 

"Yeah we want bright and colourful not dark like the addams family" Liam commented.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"Picking colours for the babys room" Last night it was decided that Niall's room would be turned into the babys room which would also double into a nursery. "Niall and I are thinking bright colours. Yellow or baby blue maybe even white. Louis here thinks dark purple would look cool" Liam informed me, I turned to look at Louis.

"It would be cool, But not for a new born Lou. Let me know what colour you decide I'll pick it up when I go into town tomorrow to meet the old man" I said all the lads nodded. "Niall? Can we talk?" I questioned, Niall looked up at me and nodded his head, He stood up from the couch and followed me out the room and into the kitchen. 

"What's up?" Niall asked.

"It's about the other week. I've been thinking about everything you said" Niall nodded his head. "I can't take that sort of risk Niall. No matter how much I want to, I can't do it" I exclaimed, Niall sighed. 

"What about what I want?" He questioned. 

"I won't risk your safety Niall. My dad did that with my mum and I listened at night while she cried herself to sleep. I won't do that to you. Niall you mean alot to me and I'm not putting you in danger. I'm going to be there for our baby, But I need you to find somebody who can give you everything I can't-" Niall cut me off. 

"It's not that you can't. It's you won't. Why can't you see what I see Zayn? You aren't your dad open your eyes and see that!" Liam walked into the kitchen. 

"Sorry we've gotta get going" He informed us, Niall nodded his head and quickly walked out the room. I sighed deeply. "What's going on?" Liam asked.

"Nothing" I mumbled.

The car journey was mostly silent. Louis and Liam exchanged conversation, Niall and I joined in at some parts, But we never spoke to one another. Liam knew something was going on. He kept glancing at the both of us. When we arrived at Harry's we all headed straight into the garden. Harry shot straight to his feet when he saw us. 

"Nialler!" He stated, Niall quickly wrapped his arms around Harry. They pulled away moments later. 

"You alright mate?" Liam said as he gave Harry a hug, Harry nodded his head. 

"Alright Haz" Louis said with a wide smile, Harry returned the smile as Louis pulled him into an embrace. "You need to shrink mate getting bigger then I am" Louis commented, Harry laughed. 

"Or you just need to grow" Harry teased, Louis gently slapped Harry round the head.

"Cheeky sod" He commented. 

"You love me really don't you Lou Lou" Harry joked. 

"Yeah yeah" Louis replied, I turned my head to see Niall walking towards a woman. She smiled happily before pulling Niall into a tight hug. 

"That's Anne, Harry's mum" Liam informed me, I nodded my head. 

We'd all been standing around talking for a good twenty minutes before Niall came back over to us. 

"Haz there's something I wanna ask you, Well we wanna ask" Niall said as he signalled between us. Harry stopped his conversation with Louis to look up at Niall.

"Alright?"

"Harry, I wouldn't have gotten through alot of things that have happened without you. Honestly I know everyone says this, But you are the bestest friend I've ever had. You were the one who brought up the whole possible pregnancy thing, And you were with me when I took the test and held me when I cried over it" Niall and Harry shared a small chuckle. "Zayn and I have spoken and we want you to be the babys godfather" Niall explained, Harry's eyes widened in complete surprise and his mouth hung open slightly. 

"I-I-"

"First time I've ever seen him speechless" Louis commented. 

"I-Really?" Harry chocked out, Niall nodded his head. "Really?" Harry turned his head to look at me, I nodded my head in reply. Harry's eyes then filled with tears and he nodded his head before jumping to his feet. Harry quickly rushed over and pulled Niall and I into a tight hug. 

"Is that a yes?" Niall asked, Harry nodded his head as fast as he could. 

"Told you he'd cry" Louis joked.

"Shut it you!" Harry stated without releasing his hold on the both of us. 

I stood outside the frontdoor breathing out the smoke from my lungs. I needed to get away for a while. Seeing the way Niall interacts with Harry makes me wish I could be the same way. I wish I could hold him. Tell him I love him without being afraid that something bads going to happen.

"Thought you'd given them up" I heard Liam speak, I looked up to see him leaning against the wall.

"Have done. Was just feeling stressed" I replied, Liam nodded his head as I dropped the bud to the floor before stamping on it. 

"You gonna tell me what was going on earlier?" 

"What you on about?" I questioned.

"You and Niall, In the kitchen. Something was going on" Liam replied. 

"We were just talking mate" I said.

"About?" He asked.

"Nothing major" I mumbled, Liam sighed.

"You know I'm not stupid Zayn. Somethings going on and from the look on your face you need to talk about it before you explode" I lowered my head. "Come on Zayn talk to me".

"I'm inlove with him" I whispered. "I'm inlove with Niall" I finally admitted out loud, Liam smiled.

"Alright? What's wrong with that?" He asked.

"What's wrong is I can't do a damn thing about it" Liam raised his eyebrow. "Look at the life I have Liam. Look at the danger the people I love are put it in. Remember when I took Niall out and my car was surrounded? Anything could have happened to him. The guys brother jumped us for fuck sake that could have been Niall. How can I bring him into this world?" I exclaimed.

"How can you deny your feelings? If you keep doing that it's going to tear you apart piece by piece" Liam said softly. 

"I know. I wanna be with him. I want us to raise our baby like a normal family. I want it more than anything, But people like me we don't deserve people like him. My dad he brought nothing but pain to my mum. He loves her with everything he is but he couldn't stop things happening. The amount of times he's put her in danger. The amount of nights I laid awake listening to her crying herself to sleep" I looked at Liam. "I can't do that to Niall. I can't bare to see him hurt" I chocked out, Liam placed his arm around me. 

"Zayn. You, Me and Louis we'd never let a thing happen to Niall. Louis and I want someone who'd give there life for Niall's, You would. The thing with this life, The life you've got right now it dosen't last forever. There's only two things that do, That's family and love. Loves stronger than anything else in this world Zayn. If you really want to you can walk away from this life and be happy with him. Everyone can see you aren't your dad. Your a million times better then he is. Don't deny yourself the love you deserve mate, If you do you'll be miserable for the rest of your life".
