Zayn's Pov:

The ambulance sirens were ringing in my ears. Tears were pouring down my face. My heart was aching. I was begging and pleading the paramedics to do something. He wasn't waking up, Niall wasn't opening his eyes. Images of the dreams I'd had flashed through my mind. He can't die, He can't leave me. We made a promise, We made a promise when we were younger that no matter what we'd never leave eachother, He can't do this. I jumped out the ambulance and watched on as they loaded Niall's stretcher out. Niall was rushed straight into the hospital, I followed after him until I was stopped by two doctors. They told me I could go no further. I tried arguing with them, I tried reasoning with them but it made no difference. They insisted that Niall was in the best hands, And I needed my wounds looked at. I watched on helplessly as Niall went out of site behind the closed doors. I was then told to follow the doctor and get the medical attention I needed. 

No news. Nobody was telling me anything about Niall. After I was stitched up the nurse told me to wait in the waiting room, When they knew anything about Niall I'd be the first to know. I'd only been sat in the waiting room for twenty minutes, But it felt like hours to me. Every second I was looking down at my watch only to find no time had passed, I sighed. What's happening to him? Why are they taking so long to tell me something? I wanna see him! I need to see him!

"Zayn?" I heard Liam's voice, I looked up and saw him and the rest of the boys entering the waiting room, I stood up slowly. "How is he?" Liam asked, I shrugged my shoulders causing more tears to fill my eyes, Liam rushed forward and pulled me into a tight hug. "He's gonna be alright Zayn, He's in the best place now" Liam tried assuring me, I shook my head.

"No he's not, Not really" I pulled away from the hug. "The best place for him to be is here" I pointed to my chest. "Right here in my arms! Where he belongs! Where he's safe from everything!" I exclaimed.

"And he will be there Zayn. They'll just be doing scans and x-rays to make sure nothings broken" Josh said, I knew he was right but the wait it's just agonizing.

"I know" I mumbled. "How you feeling mate?" I asked.

"Think my ribs are busted, Definitely got some bruises coming through, But I'll live" Josh replied, I nodded my head. 

"We'll get you checked over" Louis said, Josh nodded in agreement.

"Are you ok Zayn?" Harry asked, I nodded my head.

"Just a few cuts and bruises I'll be fine" My eyes then landed on Will. "You need checking on too" I stated, He shook his head. 

"I'm alright" He replied.

"What happened to him?" I asked.

"The police arrested him, He's gonna be assessed" Will informed me. "Why didn't you kill him? I mean you had every right to, Why didn't you?" Will questioned.

"Because" I mumbled. "Because what would it do? I kill him then all this was for nothing. I go through hell to get Niall back only to lose him again. Taking Evan's life isin't worth me losing my life with Niall. Nothings worth losing Niall" I explained.

"Thankyou Zayn" Will whispered.

"No. Thankyou. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have found him" I said, Will smiled slightly.

"I couldn't stand back and watch him die. He hadn't done anything to Evan, Neither did you" Will replied. "Anyway I better go, They might wanna ask me some questions too" Will added.

"I'll walk down with you, Josh come on we'll get you stitched up" Harry said. 

"Hey Will" Will turned around. "If you need help with anything you know where we are" I stated, Will nodded his head. 

"Thanks Zayn" Harry, Josh and Will then left the room.

"Did you call Maura?" I questioned.

"Yeah. She'll be here as soon as she can" Liam replied.

"Do you think she'll let me say goodbye to him?"I asked.

"She didn't mean any of what she said Zayn" Louis exclaimed.

"Yeah she did. You were there Louis, You heard every word" I mumbled.

"She was angry Zayn. If it wasn't for you Niall wouldn't be here now, You saved him, Nobody can deny how much you love him" Louis stated, I sighed before sitting back down in the chair.

"I'm gonna get us all a drink" Liam said before standing up and leaving the room.

"Thankyou Louis" I whispered, Louis raised his eyebrow.

"Thankyou for what?" He asked.

"Being there for me all this time. Keeping your promise" I replied, Louis placed his arm around me.

"Zayn you are without a doubt my brother from another mother, Blood couldn't make us closer. I'd stand beside you through anything and I know Maura wi-" Louis was cut off mid sentence by the door being opened, One of the nurses walked in and I shot to my feet.

"How is he?" I asked.

"He's doing well" Relief washed over me. "He's got alot of bruising and he was extremely dehydrated but he's getting all the help he needs. Were going to monitor him over night and he should be discharged in a few days" She explained.

"Thankyou. Thankyou so much" I exclaimed, She smiled kindly at me. 

"Would you like to see him? He's been asking for you" She informed me, I quickly nodded my head. 

"I'll tell the lads" Louis said, I nodded before giving him a quick hug, I then followed the nurse out the waiting room.

I couldn't help but smiled when I saw him. Sure he was hocked up to machines and had drips going into his body, But he was safe. I quickly walked up to his bed and Niall smiled weakly at me. 

"Hello you" I said as I sat down on the bed, Niall slowly raised his hand, I took hold of it quickly linking our fingers together. "How you feeling?" I asked.

"Better" Niall whispered. "Your cheek" He exclaimed. 

"Don't worry about that right now" I said softly.

"I thought you'd never find me" Niall whispered. "I didn't want you to find me. I didn't want you getting hurt" Niall exclaimed.

"Shh. I'd never stop looking for you, Not ever. All this time without you, I've never felt so lost before. I can't live in a world that your not in Niall" I stated, Niall ran his thumb across my knuckle.

"What you said, In the ambulance, Did you mean it?" Niall questioned.

"You heard what I said?" Niall nodded. "All of it?" He nodded again, I looked down. "Of course I meant it" I whispered before looking back up, This might be my only chance, I have to tell him. "Niall I should have told you this a long time ago" I ran my fingers through Niall's hair. "I love you Niall. I'm inlove with you. I always have been" I stated, Niall smiled.

"Kiss me" My eyes widened. "Please Zayn, Kiss me" Niall pleaded, I couldn't deny him, I could never deny him. I gently cupped Niall's cheek before leaning in and placing a soft kiss to his lips, Niall returned the kiss straight away. We kissed for a few moments before pulling away, I rested my head against Niall's.

"Don't leave me" Niall whispered. "Don't ever leave me" He pleaded.

"I-"

"I think you should go" Maura's voice filled my ears, I quickly looked up to see her standing there. 

"Maura I-"

"Please Zayn just go" She said firmly, I sighed as I stood up.

"Mum what? Zayn don't" Niall exclaimed.

"I'll see you again soon" I kissed Niall's forehead. "I promise" I chocked out before quickly walking away.

"Zayn please don't leave me" Niall cried out, I couldn't look back, I couldn't turn around. I walked outside the hospital room and instantly my tears fell. I didn't know if I'd ever see Niall again. I may not be the best thing for him, But nobody will ever love him as much as I do, And the idea of knowing I can never have him, It's like a dagger straight through the heart. I've only just got him back, But now I've lost him again.
