Zayn's Pov:

I can't remember the last time I had a decent nights sleep. No horrible nightmares. No awaking to screams of terror and sweat covering not only me but the bed sheets too. I had him back in my arms, Niall was where he belonged. Throughout the whole time I was asleep I held his body close to mine, I could feel his heart pounding against my chest. When my eyes slipped open I was greeted by his beautiful smiling face. His beautiful blue eyes were staring back at me. Slowly I ran my fingers through his hair, I still can't believe he's here with me. He's battered, Bruised, But he's here. 

"Is this a dream?" I whispered as I ran my fingers gently down Niall's arms, Niall chuckled before shaking his head slowly, He leaned up and kissed my lips briefly before pulling away. 

"If it is, It's one perfect dream" Niall said. 

"I love you" I stated, Every chance I got now I'd tell Niall I love him. I'd make sure he knows just how much he means to me. I'm not gonna waste anymore time. 

"I love you too" Niall replied before kissing my lips once again.

"How long do you think we have until your mum turns up?" I questioned, Niall shrugged his shoulders.

"Few hours maybe?" He replied, I smirked before reaching underneath my bed, Niall looked at me with confusion plastered all over his face.

"Fancy a quick skype session with my family? I wanna tell them were together and I know my mum and Saff wanna see you, She's missed you alot" I said.

"Sounds good to me" I quickly sent my mum a text before opening up my laptop and turning it on. "Zayn? Why's my ripped and bloodied hoodie in your bed?" Niall asked as the laptop loaded up, I sighed. 

"I erm. I slept with it the whole time you were gone" I informed him. "I guess it was the only thing I had that reminded me of you. It smelt of you so it felt like you were there with me, Even though you wasn't" I explained, Niall smiled at me. 

"Well you don't need to sleep with that anymore" Niall said.

"I know" I whispered. "I have the real thing" I stated, Niall placed a kiss to my neck as I loaded up my skype, I typed in my email and password before waiting for it to load up. Niall laid his head on my shoulder and instantly I wrapped an arm around his waist, Only seconds later a request from my mum popped up onto the screen, I accepted it and smiled instantly when her face filled the screen. 

"Oh Niall, It's so amazing to see you again!" My mum exclaimed.

"It's great to see you again too Trisha" Niall replied.

"How are you feeling?" She asked.

"Aches and pains here and there. Doctors said I'll be ok, Everything will heal up in time, I just need to rest and take it easy. They gave me some tablets if the pain gets to much to bare" Niall explained, My mum nodded her head. 

"Well all that matters is your safe I-"

"Mum is that Zayn? And Niall?" Saff's familiar voice filled my ears. 

"Hello princess" Niall said, Only a few seconds later Saff's face came into view, She had a massive smile on her face.

"Niall!" She exclaimed, My mum placed Saff in her lap. "Niall I missed you!" 

"I missed you too babygirl. Have you gotten bigger?" Saff shook her head. "Think you have. You've grown at least an inch" Niall teased, Saff giggled and a smile crept across my face.

"When are you coming to see us?" She asked.

"A few days. Hey Saff listen. Remember when you were little? Everyday you asked me if I found my perfect boy?" Saff nodded her head, Niall smiled at me. "Well Niall's my perfect boy now" I said, The smile on her face grew.

"Really?" Saff asked with a huge excited smile on her face.

"Yeah babygirl" Niall replied as he rested his head on my shoulder again, I instantly placed my arm around his waist. I knew my family would be just as happy as I am. 

After we'd finished talking with my mum and Saff Niall headed for the shower and I made us both something to eat. I couldn't help but lightly pinch myself, I couldn't believe this was real. Niall was home, Niall was safe, Niall was back with me. Everything was right again, My world was whole. After we'd finished eating we just sat around in my apartment. We both froze when the sound of someone banging on my door echoed off the walls around us. 

"Think your mums here" I said, Niall nodded. "You ready?" I asked.

"Yep" Niall replied before sitting up, I then got to my feet and made my way to the frontdoor, The second it was open Maura came barging in. 

"Where is he Zayn?" She questioned.

"Frontroom" I replied, Maura walked straight to my frontroom, I followed closely behind her. 

"Niall thankgod!" She exclaimed as she pulled Niall into her arms. "Why did you lie to me about when they were discharging you?" She asked the moment they pulled away. 

"Because I had to see Zayn" Niall said. "Mum before you kick off just let me talk ok?" Maura nodded. "I know when you found out I was missing it must have felt like someone ripped away your whole world, I know you were angry and looking for someone to blame, But that person isin't Zayn. He'd never do anything to hurt me and deep down you know that. You may still still be mad at him, You may still blame him, But I don't" Niall walked up to me and took hold of my hand. "I love him mum and he loves me. I'm not a little kid anymore, You can't decide who I see and who I don't see" Niall exclaimed.

"Maura, I would have given my life to save him, I still would. I can't change what happened no matter how much I want to, I just can't. There is one thing I can do though" Maura looked at me. "I can make a promise to you that nothing will ever happen to him again. I love him, I love him with everything I have. Being without him for all that time, It killed me on the inside. Everyday bits of me just faded away because he wasn't here. Maura please don't ask me to be without him, Because I can't do it" I chocked out before wrapping my arms around him.

"I was angry. I thought I'd lost my son, I was looking for someone to blame, Zayn I blamed you and I shouldn't have" I shook my head as Maura spoke.

"I don't blame you for taking it out on me" I said. 

"None the less it was wrong. I was wrong. I know you'd never purposely cause Niall pain. Zayn I'm sorry for everything I said to you" I removed my arms from Niall and slowly walked over to Maura, I quickly pulled her into a hug, She returned it straight away. 

"Don't apologize" We pulled away from the hug. "Just tell me we have your blessing that's all I need to hear from you" Maura smiled kindly.

"You have my blessing".

I smiled as I watched Niall laugh happily at some joke that was just told in the film we were watching. The table infront of us had empty pizza bottles placed ontop of it. Niall's body was laid inbetween my legs, His back was pressed up against my chest, I slowly began running my fingers through Niall's soft hair, He sighed happily.

"What you thinking about?" Niall asked. 

"Nothing" I replied.

"Come on. Tell me" 

"I wanna take you out, On a proper first date" I said, A smile spread across Niall's face, He slowly turned over winching as he did so. "You alright?" I questioned. 

"Yeah, Still a little sore, But a date sounds great to me" Niall replied, I smiled slightly before leaning down to kiss his lips, Niall kissed me back before laying his head on my chest.

"I love you" Niall whispered as he placed his hand over my beating heart, I don't think I'll ever be used to this.
