Chp 10
Damon came back to his seat with his leather jacket in one hand and a half empty Top-Shelf bottle of Bourbon in the other. He wasn't going to bother with a glass at this point, but Nora took it from him, "I need you coherent for this. Amelia needs you too." Damon was feeling murderous, he wanted to kill all those that hurt his daughter and his wife. So, he reluctantly nodded in agreement and let the expensive alcohol be taken from him.
Nora set the bottle down next to their seat out of Damon's reach, putting it closer to the center of the room where Katherine quickly swiped it and returned to her seat. With every drink she took she would bite her tongue, letting her blood mix with the alcohol knowing the human next to her would eventually drink some. Not one to be left out, Vince grabbed the bottle and took several gulps. He unknowingly swallowed some of the vampire's blood.
Everyone got comfortable as the screen came back on right where the scene left off...
Detective Whitworth had moved Amelia to a nearby building that was being used as a lab for processing Cocaine. Several women sat in stations doing different tasks in just their undergarments and a face mask so they don't breath in the chemical fumes. In a room further inside the building, Amelia laid on a metal table as an unknown man with medical forceps pulled the bullet out of Amelia's arm.
The man was cursing in Portuguese as he pulled the bullet out and began to stitch the wound close. Amelia's screams were still muffled from the duct tape. Detective Whitworth shook his head, "You should just give in. Carter plans on not letting you go. He has outbid every buyer interested in you. You think you're pissing him off but he only sees you as a challenge. A new, shiny toy that he wants to break. Just like that undercover agent sleeping next to him for the past year."
Brian and Roman sighed and shook their heads. If Det Whitworth knew about the undercover agent then that means Verone knew about her too.
Amelia had stopped screaming but still whimpered in pain as the wound was bandaged. The Detective leaned over her, "Carter wants me to move you from the boathouse to a secret location. So, I'm going to step out and make a few phone calls while you change your clothes. Can't have you sitting in my car and damaging the interior." The man that treated the wound handed Amelia some clothes that were left by a girl that was recently caught trying to smuggle out some of the Cocaine. He followed the detective out of the room and locked the door from the outside.
Dom, Letty, and Mia couldn't help but laugh. They knew how resourceful they all can be when in a bind. This just gave Amelia an opportunity. Nora knew it too, her snicker was caught by her husband. Damon whispered in her ear, "What's so funny?" Nora turned her head to look at him, "Our daughter is very resourceful." This was all she said as she turned back to the screen.
Amelia quickly put the dingy clothes on. Then she peeled the duct tape off her mouth, bending over to cough up the mushed herb that was shoved into her mouth. Spitting the last of it out, Amelia stood up, "Fucking Witch Hazel. Burns like a mother fucker." She looks around the room and the glass cabinets filled with chemicals, some of which were flammable. Amelia smirks at the idiots that locked her in the room.
She opens one of the cabinets and searches through the chemicals, looking for specific ones. "Aha," Amelia found the chemicals needed to make a self-igniting molotov cocktail. She carefully mixes everything into two separate glass bottles.
Dom leans back and turns to face Vince with a smirk, "And you said Advanced Chem and Physics was a waste of time." Vince huffed and crossed his arms in a pout. Deckard had been observing the others in the cinema, he spoke to Vince as well, "You know you're not leaving here alive, right?" Vince straightened in his seat, his words a little slurred, "Is that a threat?" Deckard smirks, "It's an observation, mate." Vince panned around the cinema and saw the many supernaturals glaring at him with malice.
By the time she is done and has sat down, the man that treated her unlocks and enters the room. Amelia had hid the small bottles in the pockets of the baggy pants she was wearing.
The man ushers her out of the room and walks behind her down the hall. Amelia peeks into the lab and sees the girls have left. She takes this opportunity to throw the first bottle. The action happened so fast, the man had no time to stop her. He followed the bottle to hopefully catch it but it ignited on impact, setting the whole room on fire. Amelia ran down the hall and out the door just before the building exploded from the toxic fumes and processed chemicals.
She continued to run past the detective as he hung up his phone and began to chase her. Amelia pulls the second molotov cocktail out of her pocket and throws it onto a car she ran past. The detective had no choice but to stop chasing Amelia. He was too out of shape to keep up with her and he needed to call in the fire.
The cinema celebrated as they watched Amelia escape. Brian remembers the news of the fire which led to busting a meth lab. He also remembers how agitated Carter was for losing the lab but really it was Amelia's escape that pissed him off. Damon, Nora, the Owens, and the Toretto crew exhaled a sigh of relief.
Amelia kept running until she came upon a residential area. She stopped to catch her breath and saw a clothes line filled with men's clothing. She quickly pulled a t-shirt, flannel, khaki pants, and socks. She was wearing sneakers two sizes too big but they will have to do. Amelia took the clothes and ran until she reached a small shopping center outside of the neighborhood. She went inside one of the bigger stores and swiped a beanie, bobby pins, some makeup, and different shoes and locked herself into the bathroom to change.
After she had on the men's clothes, she stood in front of the mirror and did her hair. She pulled her hair into a low ponytail, twisting the hair and pinning the ends to the top of her head and fluffing them. It now looks like she has short hair and bangs that hang in her eyes. Putting the beanie on hid the ponytail. Amelia started doing her makeup...
Mia grew excited. She reached over Brian and nudged Letty, "Remember last Halloween?" Letty looked at the screen and laughed, "Oh shit."
When Amelia was done, she looked like a man that could be related to Leon.
Damon smirked and turned to his sire, "You should take notes." Katherine flipped him off, "Fuck you, Damon." He shook his head, "Nah, never again. Not if you were the last woman on Earth." He grips his wife tighter, needing to feel she was really in his arms. Most of the men in the cinema agreed, all but Vince. He was too drunk to care.
Amelia stepped out of the store unnoticed since she looked different and casually walked down the street away from the billowing smoke. She smirked as Whitworth's patrol car drove past her.
The screen fades to black only to come back on following Brian and Agent Bilkins getting out of a car in Barstow, CA.
"Wait...What about Amelia? You can't just leave it like that," Alaric spoke for the first time since being dropped into the cinema. "Patience," Jesse's voice came over the speakers.
The camera follows Brian and Bilkins into a dusty bullring filled with shouting people in the stands and demolished cars in the dusty pit. Bilkins and Brian take a seat in the stands and watch the car destroy each other, "You gotta be kidding me?" Brian shakes his head, "Nah man." Bilkins looks over the file in his hand, "Roman Pearce? He's got quite a record, including three years upstate. Says here he's under house arrest and can't go more than 100 yards from his home. Are you sure he's here?" Brian nods, "He's here."
They continue to watch the cars destroy each other until there is only one car left still able to drive. A Monte Carlo had just taken out the last car, and whips around in a 360 in celebration of his victory. Bilkins points to the car, "In the Monte Carlo?" "Yep. You're going to have to get the ankle monitor off him before going to Miami," Brian reminds Bilkins. "Already have a judge sign everything," Bilkins responds. Brian is riddled with guilt, "Then I have one request. Clean his record, the guy deserves a break." Bilkins kept his eyes on the bullring, "No promises."
Soon Brian is leading Bilkins to a small trailer on the other side of the bullring where Roman is arguing with the event host. "Where's the rest of my money?" Roman says. The event host speaks quickly in Spanish trying to get out of paying Roman. After some arguing, Roman was handed his money and was going to go inside his trailer when he saw Brian. Several emotions could be seen crossing Roman's face; Surprise, anger, hurt, and betrayal before settling on furious. He turned and went inside his trailer, not wanting to be near the one person that sent him to prison.
Brian leaned closer to Bilkins, "Whatever happens next just let it go." Before Bilkins could respond, Brian was calling for his ex-friend, "Hey, Rome! Come on, man! We just want to talk." Roman slams his door open, "What do you want, cop?" He points to his anklet, "I'm already on a leash, is that not good enough for you?!" Brian shook his head, "I'm not a cop anymore." Roman tsked, "Yeah, right." Brian moved closer to Roman, "I quit."
Roman comes down the steps of his trailer. He shouts to Bilkins, "Is it true? Golden boy here quit?" Bilkins shouts back, "It's true. No badge." Roman asks, "So he's got no authority?" Bilkins answers, "Far from it." Roman smiles for the first time.
"Seems to be a pattern with you O'Conner," Owen voices. Brian just shrugs. The friends and family he has made over the years knows he has changed so it doesn't bother him anymore.
Brian was caught off guard when Roman swung the first punch. The two of them fight like kids that have done this more than once. Bilkins sighs and takes a seat in the shade, on the steps of the trailer, and watches the two guys throw down. After exchanging several blows, the two lay in the dirt exhausted.
Roman is trying to catch his breath, "Why'd you come back?" Brian was equally breathless, "To make peace." Roman huffs, "Nice start." Brian sits up, "I have a deal for you." Roman gets up, "Go to Hell. I've seen the kind of deals you hand out." Brian stands as well, "Come to Miami and drive with me." Roman crosses his arms, "Drive with you?" Brian continues to try and convince him, "I've arranged it. You do this, that anklet comes off for good and the FEDs wipe your record clean." Roman shakes his head, "Come on, man. I know you better than that." Brian stepped closer, "Maybe you don't."
Roman moves past Brian over to his trailer. Bilkins asks, "You guys finished?" Roman glances back to Brian then faces Bilkins, "You can get this thing off my ankle?" Bilkins nods, "If you do this job for us." Roman nods and moves around Bilkins to enter his trailer. Bilkins questions, "I thought you couldn't go more than a hundred yards from your home?" Roman held his door open, "Why do you think I park so close to the ring?"
Matt nods his head, "That's actually smart." Jeremy agrees, "If I was in a position like that, I would do the same thing. Don't feel like you're stuck inside all the time being so close to the bull ring." Elena sneers at her little brother, "Jeremy! You shouldn't think that is a good thing." Jeremy rolls his eyes but then smiles when he hears the familiar sound of a neck snapping. This time it was Tyler who was making his way back to his seat, "Her voice was grating on my nerves."
Bilkins and Brian are sitting in the rental car watching Roman lock up his shitty trailer. Bilkins asks, "What aren't you telling about you two?" Brian sighs, "We grew up together. Dad left, mom worked all the time so I stayed at Rome's place. Up through high school, we were inseparable." "What happened?" Bilkins seems to have an idea. "I started carrying a badge." "And?" Bilkins watches Roman double check the locks. Brian hesitates, "And...He was my first bust." Bilkins turns back to Brian, "You busted your friend?" "He was popping cars," Brian says. Bilkins shakes his head, "This keeps getting better and better."
Roman scoops up his small duffle bag and moves to get into the backseat. Brian turns to look at him, "ready to ride with me again, Rome?" Roman just looks out the window as Bilkins starts to drive, "Go to Hell, Brian."
Jesse's solemn voice comes over the speakers, "Found her."
AN: Amelia joins the audience in the next chapter. I will be skipping quite a bit in the second movie. I am using Script Slug for the movie transcript; some scenes are different from the actually finished movies.
Majority votes are for Klaus/Amelia.
