Chapter 5
Third Person Pov
In the immediate moment that Sasuke left, Ketsueki got to work. I'm talking about bandana on his head, an apron around his waist, mop bucket and rags in his hands, and a mop from God know where he got it from. He was ready to get down on this fucking cleaning and he was going to do everything in his power to make Sasuke impressed with him.
He giggled to himself giddily. Sasuke was going to be so happy with him. He could envisioned how it would go. Sasuke would walk into his clean, fresh, spotless apartment and marvel at him. "Wow! It looks great! I can't believe you cleaned this!" He would say with a glittering smile. And then they would laugh and he would get patted on the head and be asked to stay forever! Ketsueki squealed, holding his face. And with such he got to work.
With the biggest smile on his face, he jumped at any chore. Sweeping the splinters of wood on the floor, mopping blood of the floor and scrubbing the couch from blood stains. Once he was finished, it was closer to the afternoon and Ketsueki now had to prepare a meal for him.
He trotted over to the fridge and swung it open, reaching only a tomato. He groaned, he had forgotten Sasuke had zero groceries. He sighed, his dream of surprising Sasuke with delicious dinner had gone down the drain. He wouldn't be able to provide for him. So much for staying forever...
But he perked up, he still had money he had gotten from his job... and there was a store, if his memory served him correctly, down the street not to far away...not to mention he could just use a disguise. "It won't take long..." he thought, tapping his nose. "And it would definitely make Sasuke happy."
He giggled, it definitely would be worth it.

Now Sasuke sat quietly waiting for his sensei to come to there meeting place. He had wondered how he could allowed a murderer to stay at his home without any supervision or assurance that he wouldn't rob him or burn his apartment down for fun.
He shook his head as he thought more deeply about it, material things didn't really matter. Sasuke began to worry more about getting murdered anytime in his own apartment. Ketsueki must be a nut case. Like one of those drunks on the street yelling at a banana peel.
It would just be him and Ketsueki alone where no one would know what happened to him and no one would hear him scream. Sasuke grimaced. He now regretted his rushed decision.
Any night, if Ketsueki wanted to, he could kill him.
He stopped and began to shake profoundly. If he was killed he wouldn't be able to get revenge for his clan he wouldn't
"Sasuke, are you okay there?" Asked the masked man. Worry gleamed in his eye, his brow was creased. "You're looking a little pale..."
Sasuke huffed and shook his head. "I'm fine..." he mumbled. He got up from the floor. "Peachy..."
Kakashi furrowed his brow deeper. Sarcasm in the open? "Are you sure you're okay, Sasuke?"
"Ma! Let's go sensei! We're takin' forever!" Whined, the tiny Naruto Uzumaki. He stomped his foot rapidly with a pout.
Sasuke grimaced, utter disgust was almost uncontained from his face. He sighed and rubbed his eyes. Maybe it would be okay... After he finished the mission, he could go to the library and study his opponent, to see what would be his weakness. He smirked in agreement to himself. Ketsueki would never even know what hit him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ketsueki roamed around the streets with a big smile on his face. He wore a sunhat and glasses and used a transformation jutsu to remove his eyebrows, give himself brown hair, and an unscarred face. He looked around in different stores only buying essential groceries. He chatted with the civilians and bought what he needed. Everywhere he went he was greeted cheerfully, almost as if the civilians had no idea what took place the other night.
He hummed as he walked back to the apartment, he liked the people in Konoha. They were so friendly and nice, unlike the other countries who always seemed to have a stick up their ass. He would definitely have no problem living here if he was forced to stay for a while.
He turned the corner, and bumped in a soft wall. He stumbled back and grunt in surprise, almost taking a tumble with the groceries pushing him back into another wall. He lifted his sunhat in irritation from his face and revealed a tall grey-haired man with a mask that only exposed one eye staring at him apologetically.
"Ma, I'm sorry." He rose his hands defensively, a couple of sweat drops falling from his exposed brow.
Ketsueki stopped, his heart beat anxiously. That was Kakashi of the Fucking Sharingan! One of Konoha's best ninjas! He put on a big smile and laughed nervously, "Oh, that's okay! It was just an accident!" He backed up from the wall also raising his hands in defense. "It's fine really..."
Kakashi chuckled light-heartedly. "Oh, nonsense! It was kind of my fault..." He waved his hand, rubbing his neck with the other. Ketsueki laughed nervously again, backing up slowly from him.
"Hey, sensei! What's the hold up?" A younger voice spoke from the corner. Kakashi turned in surprise, Ketsueki also leaned his head to look. A young boy dressed in an orange jumper turned from the corner with his hands behind his head, a young pink headed girl followed.
"What's wrong sensei?" The young girl asked, peaking infront of her sensei.
"Oh... Well...Nothing really.."
"What happened.." Another young voice sighed. Ketsueki perked up, it was a voice he recognized. Sasuke turned from the corner!
Ketsueki chuckled, walking backwards slowly, maybe Sasuke didn't recognize him...
"Oh, don't worry! It was my fault! I didn't pay attention and bumped into you!" He persuaded, stopping in his tracks. He exhaled, attempting to calm himself down. He didn't want to use any jutsu in that moment and so attempted to squeeze himself out of the situation.
"You know... Let me buy you a drink, if it wouldn't be a bother..." Kakashi pushed. "The kids and I are on a break anyway so it's not a problem at all."
Ketsueki gulped and smiled kindly. Something fishy was going on... "Sure! I would love to."
"Great!" He eye smiled, walking closer to him. "There's a tea shop nearby if you're interested..."
Ketsueki blinked, trying to keep his cool. "Whatever you like! You're buying after all." He laughed, but internally he was screaming.
"Of course! By the way... Have I met you before?" Oh no. He's suspicious.
"Haha, I mean... I know who you are but I'm sure that you haven't met me..." He reasoned.
"Oh?" Kakashi squinted at him seriously, this time his facade was loosening. Ketsueki smirked internally, 'Now this was more like it.' He loved himself an interrogation.
"Sure. You're Kakashi of the Sharingan. You're famous back in The Land of Tea..."
"Is that where you are from?"
They arrived at the tea shop and sat down. His teammates sat on the other bench, watching them talk in interest. Ketsueki picked up a menu and covered his face partially, "Hm, oh... Yeah. I'm from the Land of Tea..."
Ketsueki narrowed his eyes at the menu. If there was going to be an interrogation, it wasn't going to be for him. "Enough about me though... I want to know about the famous Copy Cat..." He smiled at him, charm was now going to come in to play.
"Oh me? I'm nothing special..." He then said soft, covering his face shyly. Ketsueki laughed maniacally, internally, of course. 'I've got him now.' He cheered aggressively.
"Nothing special"? Oh please." He scoffed, setting down the menu. "I'm sure you know what I'm talking about..." The waiter came to pick up their orders and brought it to them immediately.
In the background, Team 7 sat quietly and confused. Naruto wondered why they were leaning so close to each other, Sakura wondered how old the guy Kakashi was talking to was, and Sasuke wondered if he had met him before. Ketsueki left that topic and turned to the staring team. They stiffened at his glance.
"And this must be your team right?"
The blond boy stood and posed dramatically. "I'm Naruto Uzumaki and I'm gonna become Hokage!" He flashed a confident smile and a stern thumbs up.
The pink-haired girl also stood and introduced herself, respectfully bowing. "I'm Sakura Haruno."
Sasuke sat still and looked at Ketsueki straight in the eyeball. "I am Sasuke Uchiha."
Ketsueki resisted a squeal and softly smiled. "Wow, I'm glad that someone like yourself, Kakashi-san, is helping to build the future of ninja!"
Kakashi chuckled shyly, fanning at Ketsueki. "Oh, stop it."
Ketsueki glanced at the Sasuke's teammates, they watched him closely. Ketsueki finished his tea and studied them. "They look promising." Team 7 blushed, they all took the compliment in their own way.
Ketsueki chuckled at the face Sasuke made. It was cute pout and the blush on his face made him look even better. He sighed a little, "Welp, it was nice talking to all of you, but it kind of getting late and I have to go home to cook."
He stood from his seat. "Thanks for the tea, Kakashi-san. Have a nice day all of you and be careful!"
Team 7 also stood from their seat and waved goodbye. They watched him walk further and further away until he was gone. Team 7 didn't really get any details out of him, let alone the stranger's name.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was probably 8 at the time, and Ketsueki had no doubt that Sasuke would come home at around 10 to 9. The preparation time was about an hour so it would be enough time to cook. He clenched his fist excitably. Cooking for Sasuke was going to be so fun!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ketsueki climbed in through the balcony, getting with groceries was a bit difficult though. At first, he was going to leave the door unlocked but he didn't want to risk a break in, then Sasuke would be super pissed and would probably kick him out. He liked Sasuke, he was a pretty cool kid. Letting him stay at his own apartment.. That was cool.
He closed the balcony sliding door and quietly walked over to the kitchen. He began by putting the unnecessary groceries away; anything that didn't involve the miso soup and sashimi dishes he was going to make, went away.
He then prepared the meal. He scrubbed, diced, and cooked and spiced. Everything was coming together perfectly. Ketsueki giggled, stirring the pot like a madman. Working for Sasuke was fun. He hadn't been able to cook for himself in a while, let alone cook for another person.
He had always loved cooking and maybe if he wasn't always on the run maybe he would have liked to open a restaurant with all his personal favorites. He beamed at the soup and side dishes he made, it wasn't too heavy as Sasuke would have to wake up early tomorrow to train and do missions and it was just the right amount to fill him.
He put aside the dishes and set up everything. All that was left to do was to wait for him to arrive. Ketsueki sat at the entrance of the apartment, absolutely ecstatic about Sasuke's to-be expression. He couldn't wait until Sasuke came back. It was nerve-wracking, like his face was going to fall off from smiling so hard. He was just so nervous.
Ketsueki's POV- Half an hour later
Maybe he's doing something super important. I mean... He looks like he works really hard..
I sighed through my nose with a smile, I should probably cover the food... It's gonna get cold. I cover the food and then sit back at the entrance, I kinda need to go pee.
An Hour later
He's almost here. I can feel it.
1 hour later
He's coming soon, I just know it.
1 hour later
My eyes are itchy...
30 minutes later
I think I'ma close my eyes for a sec.
1 hour later
.... He fucking fell asleep.
Third Person POV
Sasuke unlocked his door, it was too dark for anyone to be awake or see. He opened his door slowly, cautious as to any surprise attacks. He stepped into his apartment kunai ready. He walked in and stepped on something, he flinched and jumped back, turning on his lights and preparing to attack.
But at the entrance was Ketsueki sleeping soundly, apparently not minding the lights. He had his hands in his lap and his head bowed down. What he had happened to step on was a red ball that was laying around, which he found odd.
He carefully went around Ketsueki and looked around the room. Everything was fixed and cleaned and at the table was a couple of dishes and two plates. He carefully walked over to the pots and plates and uncovered them. They were still warm. He looked at the dishes carefully, they didn't look poisoned.
He thought it over and decided to give it a taste, after all, it did smell good. He sipped some of the miso soup and tasted the side dishes. It didn't taste bad...
He looked over at Ketsueki who was still asleep at the entrance, and sighed. He didn't know whether or not he should wake him up. He wouldn't really know how Ketsueki would react to waking up so at the end he decided against it and attempted to drag him to the couch... Only... he was really heavy.
Sasuke Uchiha had carried many heavy things in his life time but none so heavy as how heavy Ketsueki was. It ended up with a struggle, a short time out and the white-haired boy on the couch. He worked up a hunger afterwards and finished the dishes Ketsueki had made for him.
He then washed the dishes, to which Ketsueki did not wake up from and finished reading the horrific articles about him. Once he was finished, he tossed a blanket over him and went to bed. That night, he stood awake, thinking about the meal Ketsueki made for him and how much it reminded him about how his mom would cook for him...
That night, Sasuke Uchiha forced himself to sleep again.
