Suman opened her eyes with little unease. ...

  The place was quite unfamiliar. ..it wasn't Maitri. .?

She was a bit scared. ..she took a quick glance around the tiny chamber. ..it was flooded with medical equipments. ...

   She sighed as she was reassured herself to be in a medical unit of Maitri itself. ..

    She tried to recall what had happened to her. ..she thought her sudden collapse at Shravan's shoulders. ..a panic striken priya. ..a concerned shravan. ...

   While thinking him lifting her at his arms, suman felt warmth even at the freezing temperature. ..

She was surprised  to herself. .

' Why I held Shravan's hand. .? Even priya was there...why didn't I  chose her  .? I felt secured at his arms. .why. .? That eyes. ..! They were truly concerned. ..infact, more than that. ..why those eyes made me to trust him. .? Yes. ..i trusted him. ..but, why. ?'

    
   She couldn't decipher her thoughts on shravan. ...she fell tired and shut her eyes disabled. ..

    She tried to get up and noticed that she had a bandage in his right leg. ..

'Oh. ..my god. ..my operated leg. ..what happened actually. ..'

   She couldn't find anyone. ..just then, a nurse came in...she's an English woman by look. ..
 

   Suman's panic rose. ..she gulped. ..

'Am I  in right place. .? '

  The nurse neared her. ..and asked whether she's okay. ..her accent was purely British. ..

" yea..yeah. ..feeling better. .." suman stuttered. ..

The nurse checked the bandage  and nodded satisfactorily. ..

" Miss. Suman. ..you're alright completely. ..you can go home. .."

" home. .? "  Suman asked puzzled. ..

  " yeah. ..to Maitri. .." the nurse answered quietly. ..

Suman rolled her eyes in mere confusion. ..the nurse might have understood. ..

   She smiled firmly. .."Miss. Suman. ..this is a medical unit collaborately run by the permanent research stations of Antarctica ..we can treat the minor ailments here. ..thank god. ..you hadn't an emergency. ."

" Oh. ..thank you. ...what happened to me actually. .? " She asked. ..

" it's quite strange that you had bleeding from your previously operated leg for no reason. ..now, let me inform your team to pick you up. .."

 
   Suman said yes to her...

Sooner, shravan came to pick up suman...

" suman. ..how are you doing now. ? "   shravan gazed into Suman's eyes. ...

   The same caring eyes that made her to trust him. ..

  Suman turned  her gaze down  swiftly. ..

" better. .."  she smiled little. ..

His transparent sigh made suman to take a quick look on  him . ..it was evident that he was worried much. ..
 

    " make sure  that you don't strain on your leg today. ..you can indulge in regular works by tomorrow. .."

    "Yeah. ..thank you so much. .."

They both thanked the nurse. ..the nurse helped  suman to sit on the wheelchair. ..

   Shravan rolled the chair to the exit. ..actually suman was wondering how would they reach Maitri that's some kilometres away. ..

   To answer her query, there stood a giant vehicle in front of the medical unit. ..Suman was literally awestruck to see such a huge truck with massive tyres. ..she hadn't come across like one in her life. ..

" what's this. .?"  Her voice resonanced her innocence. ..

" suman. ..it's a track vehicle, a common transport system here. .."

  By the time, they reached close to the track vehicle. ..

  Since it wasn't designed with sloping steps, shravan had to lift suman to get into the vehicle. ..

   He stood hesitated. ..Suman nodded slightly  after understanding the situation. ..

  Shravan lifted suman carefully ...but, it wasn't enough to get into the door since the door was at height unlike the normal ones. ..

  He held her close to him to reach the height. ..His  quick jerk to pull her closer made suman uneasy. ..she put her arms around his neck involuntarily. ..

   Her nose tip was close to his cheeks where both of them could feel each other's  warm breath. ..shravan made her to sit comfortably before the situation gets worsen. ..

   The travel was about ten to fifteen minutes but for them it was like a distance of thousand miles. ..

  For their rescue, while getting down priya and Anu helped. ..for god sake, shraman were saved from much embarrass. ..

 
   Suman was lying on her bed ...Daisy sat near her and patted her shoulders. ..

" suman. ..take rest. ..we still had some equipment to be fixed. ..then only, we could start our work by tomorrow. ..hope you would be okay. .."

  Suman smiled at daisy. .."don't worry. ..I know how I am important to this project. ..I will be okay. ."

" that's like my girl. .."she high fived. ..

  It may be due to the drug effect, suman fell asleep. ..when she woke up she was in a terrific hunger. ..she couldn't reach the intercom ...her hunger rose beyond her tolerance. ..she was about to get up. ..

"May I get in. .?"  Shravan knocked and got in. ..

He had a plate , arranged with a cup of soup and a cheese omelette. ..

   " mmm. ...nice aroma. ..."

wild hunger and her love for food made her to be a kid. ..

  She grabbed the plate from shravan and she didn't mind to use a  spoon or fork. ..she used her hands to gulp every piece. ..

  It was really an eye candy for shravan. ..He was witnessing her childishness without a wink. ..

" by the way, shravan. ..how do you know that I am in  hungry. .?"   In between her bites, she asked. ..

Shravan didn't answered. ..she too didn't expected him to reply. ..

" I must say, rohitji 's hands were blessed with magic. ...yummy. ..I should thank him personally. .."

She said enthusiastic. ..

Shravan nodded negatively. .."then. ..you must thank me. .."  He said in  calm tone. ..

Suman surprised. .."you prepared this. .?for me. .?"  

  Shravan stood up and leaned at her by holding the bed frame. ...

" What to do. .?If you are a foodie. ..then, I must be a chef. ..a perfect couple. .?" 

He wiggled his brows. ..His mischievous smile and love spoken eyes made suman to fall for him. ..this time, beyond her imagination. ...
