Kakashi had came home only weeks after Tamashi disappeared..
He went to the hokage's office not knowing what had happened to the girl he was taking care of.
"Kakashi, your back?" The hokage questioned, the old man's thoughts were interrupted by that of Kakashi.
"Hai?" He said a little confused "are you alright hokage-Sama?"
"Oh. I have another job for you" the hokage stated. Kakashi sighed..
"Hai?" He asked, the hokage then thought of the best possible way to find Tamashi without Kakashi wanting too.. Of course avoiding the situation was impossible especially if it's with Tamashi..
"I'd like you to find Tamashi" the hokage stated, kakashi narrowed his one visible eye at the hokage
"What?" He asked growling, the hokage sweatdropped
"She went missing the day you left, I've had the jounin try to find her, they can't.." The hokage trailed, off Kakashi sighed
"I'll find her" he muttered, Disappearing. The hokage sighed in relief.
"That went better then I thought" Kakashi then appeared Infront of the hokage again, "yes?"
"If she's hurt you know what will happen" Kakashi growled, keeping most of his anger in. I mean he just threatened the hokage, but he didn't care,
"Very well" Kakashi growled as he actually left, the hokage let out a sigh of relief as Gai ran in
"Lord hokage we aren't found any sign of Tamashi!"
"Tell the others they can stop. The wolf is back and he's looking for her right now" the hokage stated, Gai nodded, knowing what the hokage meant. gai sighed
"You don't think Kakashi is a little too protective of her?" Gai asked, the hokage sweatdropped
"He is a little. But he's only keeping a promise from the fourth to protect Tamashi"
"Still, the guy really doesn't like it when she's hurt"
"This is the first time she's ran away" the hokage said to himself quietly, Gai then left to tell the search teams to stop. Kakashi on the other hand, was by the training ground he and Tamashi use.
"Geez Tamashi where are you..?!" He growled. It was then when matatabi emerged from the woods and ran to him.
"Sama" she said, getting kakashi's attention, kakashi froze and nodded, following the cat just by instinct. She then lead him into the Forest of Death, making him sigh
"I got it" he muttered me the cat then left. He then jumped up onto one of the large tree branches and opened his sharingan eye...
"Tamashi" he whispered, his sharingan scanning the area "what I'd do for having byakugan right now" he growled at himself. As he moved forward. He then spotted something moving.. He moved closer only to see a scared little girl he knew way to well.
"Tama..." He whispered.. Coming closer, Tamashi looked at him and frowned
"Nii-San..." She whispered getting up and hugging him. Kakashi hugged her back and sighed
"Why'd you run away? And for 3 weeks?" Tamashi looked down..
"Ni-San... Am I a monster?" She asked quietly. A sudden realisation hit the young anbu as he held the little girl closer to him
"No tama, your nothing like a monster" he whispered
"What's a kyuubi?" She asked suddenly making Kakashi freeze
"A tailed beast" he answered her.
"Tailed beast?" She questioned Kakashi nodded and sighed
"Yeah but don't worry about it, now Come on let's go home" he whispered standing up and holding her against his shoulder. Tamashi suddenly felt safe...
"So how'd you first day at the academy go?" He asked, Tamashi shrugged
"Good.."
"You make any new friends?"
"I guess so"
"Who?" Kakashi asked, trying to make her excited.. But really she was scared, tired and hungry..
"Uchiha itachi" she whispered. Kakashi smiled and nodded
"That's pretty cool. You know, you should have sharingan is your from the Ōtsutsuki clan"
"I should?" She asked, kakashi nodded
"Yep just like me" he stated opening his sharingan eye, Tamashi stared at it in awe
"So cool..." She whispered, kakashi chuckled
"Yeah?"
"Your so cool nii-San!!!" Tamashi shouted now grinning, kakashi smiled
"You are two Tama" he muttered back, closing his sharingan eye as she frowned "what?" He asked
"When can I go on missions with you?" She asked, kakashi smiled at her
"The missions I do are S ranked tama, your not going to be allowed doing those types of missions until your jounin or higher"
"Jounin?" Tamashi questioned, kakashi nodded
"Yep, and you missy" he stopped and then start tickling her making her laugh "aren't even a genin yet" he stated, Tamashi then slipped from his arms and ran a few steps ahead
"No tickles!" She shouted pouting.
"I think I should" he stated, Tamashi then went pale and started running. Kakashi just walking after her since she couldn't run very fast.
"Your adorable" he muttered smiling. Tamashi then ran to ichiraku and grinned
"Nii-San!! Can we get ramen!?" Tamashi shouted, kakashi sighed and nodded
"Sure. Can you get up by yourself?" He asked, Tamashi nodded trying to get up on the stool. Kakashi smirked at her and lifted her up, she then pouted as he sat down, reaching her arms out for the anbu captain, kakashi smiled and lifted her up and sat her down on his lap,
"Better?"
"Yeah!" Kakashi's sharingan eye then snapped open, his sharingan staring into the eyes of a hidden anbu member that was spying on them.. Again it was one of the overly curious anbu members, kakashi then took out a kunai and threw it, the anbu didn't even notice the kunai fly by and go through thier cloak, pinning the anbu member to the tree that they were behind. Kakashi smirked as Tamashi grinned
"Your so cool!!!" She shouted Kakashi sighed and ruffled her hair
"I know. Now pick something"
"You choose first!"
"I chose last time"
"But last time was weeks ago!!" Tamashi protested.
"No, you choose" Tamashi pouted in defeat, teuchi chuckled behind the counter
"Okay.." Tamashi pouted and crossed her arms.. "beef ramen!!" She shouted, kakashi smiled
"Alright then"
"Beef ramen coming up!" Teuchi shouted happily. Kakashi sighed. Taking off his anbu mask and attaching it to his belt.
"KAKASHI!!!!" A loud voice shouted making Tamashi cover her ears. Kakashi groaned in annoyance
"Hey Gai" Kakashi greeted, ayame then popped her head out from around the counter and grinned.
"Hi!" She shouted, Tamashi waved and grinned
"Hi ayame!" Tamashi greeted. Kakashi smiled
"That makes two friends"
"Oh yeah!" Tamashi shouted in realisation, kakashi smiled as Gai sat beside him.
"Hello young Tamashi!" Gai shouted grinning, Tamashi looked up at the man with a blank look making Kakashi chuckle
"You've met Gai before tama. Say hi" Kakashi told the girl. Tamashi looked to kakashi nervously.. She then looked back to Gai and waved
"Hi..." She trailed off making Kakashi smile
"Oh my god she's so kawaii!!" A girly voice shouted. Kakashi sweatdropped
"Tama, that's Kurenai" he whispered, Tamashi looked at the black haired girl and waved
"Hi. I'm Tamashi"
"Hello Tamashi" Kurenai stated smiling, kakashi was starting to feel crowded, Tamashi smiled at him making him smile back
"Here you are!" Teuchi said smiling. Tamashi then tried her best to use the chopsticks
"Try again tama" Kakashi whispered, Kurenai fangirling about how cute the little girl looked. Asuma then looked to kakashi
"Kakashi, I've never seen you like this" asuma commented, kakashi smirked "you know being the anbu captain and all, didn't aspect you to be spending time with a kid that isn't even related to you" asuma whispered, kakashi sighed
"Well. I made a promise to protect her" Kakashi whispered, Tamashi then began getting used to using chopsticks and began eating.
"I can do it nii-San!" Tamashi shouted, kakashi nodded and smiled
"Good job tama.. Hey didn't you have to show me what you've learned?"
"Oh yeah!!" Tamashi shouted, kakashi then remembered something, he had been missing a few things on that mission.
"Hey tama? You know I did notice that you took some of my shuriken right?" Tamashi froze and smiled awkwardly, the other genin laughing at her
"O-oh..." Tamashi trailed off, kakashi smiled
"But you can keep them. I've got plenty"
"Really?!" She shouted, kakashi nodded
"Yep" Tamashi grinned as Kakashi ate his ramen, the other too busy to notice what his face looked like. Kakashi smirked moving his mask up over his nose and looking down at Tamashi who was grinning, a slight blush on her cheeks.
"What you blushing about tama?" He asked, Tamashi then poked the side of his jaw making him smirk
"Ahh I get it" he muttered, as he patted her head
"No telling anyone okay?"
"Okay" Tamashi said smiling, kakashi smiled at her as she sat back down on his lap and tried to pick some noddles up with her chopsticks, eventually she managed though.
"Come on, time to go practise" he stated. Teuchi taking the bowls from the counter
"Kakashi" Teuchi said, kakashi sweatdropped
"Sorry almost forgot" he muttered dropping the money on the counter and waving.
"Nii-San!!" Tamashi shouted making Kakashi hurry up.
"Alright I'm coming, I just had to pay"
"Hurry up!!" Tamashi shouted.. Kakashi sighed at her.
"Your such a handful" he muttered to himself, walking down the oath to the training grounds with Tamashi a few metres ahead of him..
