Chapter 7
I wasn't tired at this time of night. And somehow, I felt like it never had made me at all sleepy.
I ran through the woods, surely it hadn't been that far from the town me and that girl fought in?
But although I thought that, most of everything I saw was unknown to me and I had never seen.
I came across a pond of water, and I stopped by for a bit. There was something different about me.
There was a huge black bruise on my forehead, and to my conclusion it was probably from the fight I had.
I then saw the water ripple, rings of water gently blending in back into the water.
"Hello there, Zero." Sniggered a voice mischieviously.
I turned around immediatly, and there he was. Hex.
"What are you doing here?" I said with a slight hiss escaping from my mouth. "It isn't your job to go and stalk me."
He tilted his head, "Ah, surely I just came to make things better for you." He said, a huge grin on his face, his red eyes glinting with glee.
I surely had a bad feeling about this. "Well then, what are you going to do?" I said, brushing my hands onto my swords gently,
"I'll do something about your head." He said, and to what I think he was pointing, my bruise.
"Hmph." I mumbled, "It'll heal in a few days though, what do you care."
He was trying not to laugh apparently, I didn't think now there was much funny in this situation. "Simply, I care for you to attract to much suspicion." He said, "Now come closer."
Maybe it was a bit suspicous that I had such a bruise on my head, so I stepped over towards him. Yet still, I didn't want to be around him.
He put his hand on my forehead, flexing it to the point it covered my eyes. He drove a finger onto the bruise, he started mumbling something. I bit my lip, trying not to make a sound, sudden pain erupting through my head.
He released, then gestured to look at my reflection once again. It was completely gone. Like it had never existed.
"See? That wasn't that bad." He said with a smile, I eyed him, then continued to look at myself.
"Yeah, I guess." I mumbled, then felt my self wobble, then fall to the ground, the feel of dirt rising on my hands.
"W-Wha.." I said drowned out by my attempts to move my body, but failing to do so.
"I told you, I would make things better." He said with a chuckle, lifting up my body and grabbed my head once again.
He gripped it harder, and starting to mumble inaudible words once again. Searing pain started, like I was stabbed in the head.
I bit my lip as hard as I could, it started to bleed a bit. I finally let out my yells of pain, Hex smiled with joy at that.
"Don't worry, it'll all stop soon." He said, taking out a bottle with an unknown substance.
He took the cap off, then forcefully jabbed it into my mouth, I couldn't stop myself from drinking it. He took it out of my mouth, my jaws hurt tremendously.
He disappeared, leaving me on the ground with the unbearable pain pushing my screams out.
And suddenly, my head hurt more, a dark glow surrounding me. I lay on the ground, with nothing I could do to stop anything.
It hurt harder and harder, until I heard Hex's voice.
"You should rest now." He said, I felt it right in my ears.
I felt my eyelids suddenly awaiting for me to close them, I forcefully declined their request.
"G-Get out of my head!!" I hollered with the same volume as my other screams.
His voice still yet rasped into my ear, "Wouldn't it be better to rest for a bit?" And he made the pain even harder for me,
my eyes starting to burn a blood-red glow.
I felt dizzy, my eyes starting to accept my eyelids to blanket over them.
"Just let me take care of everything."
