What is your name and your age? (if you are comfortable to disclose)

My name is Roohi Khan. I'm turning 26 this April

What is the aim you want to achieve?

Since childhood I aimed at becoming a Science professor but then I realised... I wanted something more. More like... being remembered. I wanted to leave an impact on the minds of children. And as you must know, we all hardly remember college professors. They're too... professional. We lack emotional bonding. So, I went for a High School Teacher.

Now, I've been a High school teacher for 3 years.

And wish to continue that. Along with taking care of my family.

What would you like to do in your leisure time?

I like music, YouTube Shorts, Reading books about Prophets, cooking and more than that, I love teaching.

And giving inspirational speeches.

Can you write some inspirational words here?

Sure.

What inspired you to write on Wattpad?

Well, that's a distant memory now. But I'm happy That I did.

The incompleteness in my life inspired me to write. Like... whatever I couldn't achieve, my characters have That.

For example, the heroines have extremely long hair like I couldn't.

The Hero drives expensive lush cars like I couldn't

One of the female leads is a secret agent. That's what I wanted- An Action packed life full of adventures.

Every one dream is to drive expensive and having long hairs.Me too

What are your expectations from readers? Which readers have constantly supported you since the start?

I have no expectations from readers. Reading itself is a blessing. And yes there are a few readers, especially on Wattpad and Dreame who have been very supportive. I wholeheartedly appreciate their support.

Readers are a blessing. A support. More than that they help you explore the points and perspectives of your story which sometimes you can't.More than that they help you explore the points and perspectives of your story which sometimes you can't.

Do you also read on this platform? If yes What is your favourite book which you read in one go?

Honestly, once every few months do find one such book on this platform. I have other reading apps on my phone but those are only for writing. I read only on Wattpad and my home library. The most recent book that I read on Wattpad was 'Dead girl Tell No Tales' and it really touched my heart. Other than that I read classics like Shakespeare's and Anna sewell, Jane Austen etc

As an author do you like being a reader or writer

Which genre would you like to read most?

I think both are amazing in their own way. Being a reader is carefree, amazing, learning and much more but all you can do is helplessly accept whatever the writer throws at you.

While as a writer, there's always fear of criticism, rejection, imperfections but still you are the sailor of the ship. You can navigate wherever you want and take the readers with you, influence them, communicate with them without interruption and much more.

My most read and loved genre is HISTORICAL FICTION. It takes you to... like a different planet.

Historical fiction is really amazing.

I have even written one on Dream. And it's very close to my heart

Your Story Her Broken Heart is amazing. What was the central idea of the story? What inspired you to write it ?

A book that I had read long long ago on a reading website inspired me to write HBH. Unfortunately, I can't remember its name but it was amazing.

Yuvi is much better than Ranbir in all aspects.

That depends...

You have crossed your teenage years. What is your perspective about that phase of life .Was the teenager year a cake wake or a road filled with trouble?

Now when I look back I realise that it was better. Much better than so many people. Of Course there were struggles too but they were nothing compared to the blessings I had.

And still do.

Many of them think that teenagers don't have a good stability of mind and they have mixed emotions all the time. Most of the wattpadians are teenagers.What do you think about this?

Yes that is true. Even when I start reading any story, I can immediately recognize if it's written by a teenager or an adult.

But I wouldn't say that they don't have a stability of Mind or anything. Rather I would say that they have a different perspective of life-a very simple and clear one. But as we grow up, we struggle, we fight, we interact, we earn, have relationships and interactions with different kinds of people we realise that life is not simple.

Your words really speak a lot, that's an amazing answer.

Most of us use social media. There are pros and cons in using it. Would you like to give us some tips to escape from the dangerous traps?

Well well it's in our hands. I know these days the scams and data stealing etc have escalated largely. But we can save ourselves. Whenever we download apps we should download them from an authentic source. And be careful of what 'permissions' we give them instead of just clicking ACCEPT at every dialogue box. Browse Incognito as much as possible. We should keep our email id and password private. And not give it to a bunch of websites; only important ones.

Teenagers are often prone to opposite sex attraction and they believe it is love. What do you want to convey to them?

I come from a conservative background. So I'm not much into relationship advice but I'd like to say Love your God first Then your family Then yourself Then your partner. And whoever is ready to accept these priorities of yours is perfect for you, no one else.

Yes

Many of them believe that being a teenager is a good age to know ourselves, and it's only the society that makes teenagers tough. What is your opinion about this?

Not only society but everything around us contributes to our teenage years... from the food we eat, the people we meet, the music we listen to, to the TV serials we watch. Teenage is a very sensitive and mouldable part of a person's life. Everything that falls on them makes an impression. So I don't particularly blame society. Many times it's society but sometimes it's peer pressure, sometimes it's the desperate need to fit in, sometimes it's the burden of parent's expectations, sometimes it's our over-ambitious nature and being too hard on yourself.
