• Award Winner Interview •
Hello dear readers,
Welcome back to another episode of Zephyr Interviews, it's me ICTinBlood back with another interview.
We have Cool_Summer29 with us today, welcome to the interview!
Without any more late, let's get into the interview!
1) May we know a few words about yourself?
My pen name is Summer as in, a person with a warm personality just like the season of summer. I'm an ambivert by nature and have a ton of hobbies
2) When did you start writing either on this platform or in the normal way?
I guess, when I was in sixth grade, there was one teacher of mine who taught me how we writepoems. That was the start of me as a poetess and soon as a writer. Initially, I used to writepoems in a diary ( I still do) but with time I slowly took interest in writing stories.
3) What is your motivation to write?
Honestly, I'm not very good at conversing and expressing myself with people in reality. So,writing is a way of expressing my emotions in words. It's a hobby that makes me happier andgives me the feeling that "yes! There's something I'm good at"
4) How did you feel when you got to know that you were the winner?
The results were announced on my birthday and the same day my book hit 10k views. Naturally,it was an overwhelming joy for me.
5) Did you ever face criticism? If yes how did you overcome it?
Yes I did, a lot and I still do. I think this is a sensitive topic to us writers because we invest awhole load of time in our stories but I think Criticism is necessary and it helped me a lot toimprove my writing skills. My story isn't written in a very pleasing writing style in the beginning
and thanks to that one reviewer who gave me an honest review, it improved my writing a lot!
6) When did you come across this genre or this fan fiction category?
Back in 2018, there was one good friend of mine who suggested me a fanfiction on YouTubeand I was mesmerized by the plot! That's when I got to know, there's a genre called fanfictiontoo and it has a whole load of enchanting stories which honestly, deserve attention.
7) What was your opinion about our awards?
It was a wonderful experience! Being a host myself of an award show I can totally understandhow tough it is to conduct an award show that too within the time frame. You guys did an
amazing job!
8) How do you handle writer's block
I'm that sort of person who updates once in a month, this is not because I'm lazy, it's actuallybecause I have a whole load of content in my mind and I want it to elaborate in the best waypossible so that my readers could connect with the story without getting bored and this usuallyresults in a writer's block in my mind. I get confused easily. I'm glad, I have a really close friendwho I got to know through this platform. Whenever I'm having a writer's block I usually ask forher help.
9) Do you plan on taking writing as a profession? If yes, what are your plans for it?
I haven't thought of taking writing as a profession yet, as I'm still an amateur. I have differentplans. But I sincerely wish to apply for Wattys and it's a dream come true if my book getspublished.
10)What was your response when you first published this book?
I was really cheerful and a bit nervous too when I first published my book. Being a writer gives adifferent sense of responsibility on your shoulders because each and every word you write has a
lot of weight. Writing is all about improvement and each and everytime
we improve, our ownpast written work appears lacking to us. I personally feel that my writings shouldn't be offensive
and it shouldn't hurt anyone's sentiments, thus I put in a lot of thought before publishing mychapters, rechecking it again.
11) As a writer, what are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?
My biggest strength as a writer, is my imaginative mindset and ofcourse the power to thinkdeeply. My weakness, I guess many! One of them is procastination due to my busy schedule.
12) Is there any advice you would like to give to teenagers out there?
Advice to teens?! Interesting question. Well, to the teens reading this just one advice and amotto I have followed since I became an ARMY: It is better to die than to live without passion.
Circumstances would never be easy and so, they make us all stronger!
13) A few words about our community
It's a wonderful community with new and unique projects. You guys are amazing!
14) Would you like to join this community?
I would love to! Unfortunately, I'm a bit busy lately but I will join in sometime in future.
15) How did you feel about giving us the interview? Any suggestions would you like to give?
Honestly, thankyou for inviting me for this interview. I suddenly feel special. It was an awesomeexperience. I can't really think of any suggestions at the moment but it was a good experience
with you all !
Thank you so much Summer for giving us your interview! We wish you luck for all your future endeavor. May you get everything you wish for.
That calls an end to this episode, we'll meet you soon in another update!
Till then, Adios!
