Who Are The SAGES??

NOTE: I made this theory for @GayZelda . It is completely okay for her to use it in her yet-to-be-published theory book. However, since said book is... well, yet to be published, I have put it in here for you to read!

So, I have a theory. It's a Twilight Princess Theory. It also ties in to Ocarina of Time. If you haven't played those games, chances are you won't understand. Anyway, so you all remember those creepy Sages from Twilight Princess, the ones who have no faces? (Well, technically they have faces but they float above their actual heads, but that's beside the point.) But these Sages... Well, something about them has really bothered me about me for a long time. Their identities. Now, switching over to Ocarina, the game before Twilight Princess in the timeline, there are another, different set of Sages. During the game, Link must save and awaken five out of six sages. Saria, Sage of Forest. Darunia, Sage of Fire. Ruto, Sage of Water. Impa, Sage of Shadow. Nabooru, Sage of Spirit. However, I said there were six Sages. The sixth is already awakened, and you in fact, meet him as soon as you leave the forest. The great, holy, beloved-by-all Sage of Knowledge, Kapora Gaebora! ... I jest, of course. Although, I am technically right. Kapora Gaebora is the alternate form of Rauru, the already awakened Sage of Light, as well as the one who built the Temple of Time. Now, the Temple of Time was built hundreds of years ago, somewhen between the events of Four Swords and Ocarina of Time, so if Rauru was a Sage, how could he have built it? Well, you remember how you don't have to awaken Rauru, right? That's because he's already a Sage, a dead Sage, but a Sage nonetheless. Anyway, Rauru supposedly worked with a completely different group of Sages to seal the Triforce into the Sacred Realm, sealing it into the Temple of Time and placing the Master Sword behind the Door of Time, locking the room. Rauru was one of the six ancient Sages who did this Holy deed for the Goddesses. And now I've said the word Sage too many times in one paragraph and it doesn't sound legit anymore.

Anyway, back to Twilight Princess (TP). TP is supposed to be around 100-200 years after Ocarina of Time (OoT) and features the biological descendant of the OoT Link. And, since this is a game featuring the big boy himself, Ganondorf Dragmire, it also features a new set of six (now five) sages. Cause Big Gan kinda straight up deleted the Sage o' la H2O. Anyway, so in TP there's a whole new set of Sages. Weird, glowy white sages. With no faces. And... No... Lore... And no names either. Most people would just say "Well it comes after Ocarina so they must be the future versions of the Ocarina sages" but I think otherwise. This is because TP is in the Child Timeline, the Hero of Time never awakened any of those Sages, minus Rauru because he's just special. In TP, there are instead the ethereal Holy Divine Creepy ones. But in concept art for TP, the Sage design is different. It looks a lot more like a robe, an orange robe with a red belt. You know who else wears an orange robe with a red belt? Rauru. Rauru does. What I'm trying to say here is... What if the Sages in TP are the ancient Sages who helped seal the Master Sword behind the Block of Time. What if they are the very same Sages who all worked alongside the great Sage of Light who also is everyone's FAVOURITE owl! I hope you enjoyed this theory! It's crazy to think how old the TP Sages might actually be...

Aaand, there it is! My worst theory yet! I hope you enjoyed, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask!
