???:.....Vinnie, Did it work?
A lone voice asked, a purple haired girl, dawning a black and purple jacket looked to a humanoid sized automaton with what appeared to be a computer for a head who she was holding onto

Vinnie: Believe so, The emerald's power has worked. However, something about this place here feels different than where we were before

???: Why's that?

Vinnie:Look around, some of the equipment out here doesn't look anywhere near as advanced as they were in the city. There doesn't appear to be any of the overlord's cyborgs either

???:Come to think of it, I don't think I see any of them around here either, He had at least two of them that were still on patrol when the others were out.
She infers, crossing her arms as she started walking around, noticing that were both standing the middle of a field while looking over to the city, that by the look of the city, from her eyes it had a more retro kind to the architecture. And as the her cybernetic companion had just stated, there was no sign of enemy robots, it was like the city that they once knew had completely changed

???:No monsters, evil robots or anything, the city's never been this peaceful....Are you were in the right place?

Vinnie: Affirmative. My scanners say we've arrived in Nueva Vale, It could be a district that neither the overlord nor the monster faction took over yet.

???:Remind me to fix to take a look at them later cause something tells me you got something wrong on those. Besides, you could really use an upgrade anyway instead of that old generator my dad got for your body.You're sensor needed a good ol tune up anyway.
She commented with in a cheeky manner before soon hearing the sound of bolts scrambling around and flying sparks, she turned around and looked over to Vinnie, who right at this moment well collapsed to his knees, shaking violently as his body was short-circuiting. The robot rose his head upto his human companion before looking down at his chest before a compartment soon revealing what appeared to be a chaos emerald, drained of his energy while the robots gears appeared to have been damaged to some degree, making the the girl stare at them in a state of concern and wary as she ran back over to him

???:Vinnie? Vinnie! Are you okay! What's happening!?

Vinnie: I-I.... I think that chaos emeralds power took a lot of me when warped, my circuits must have been singed when we used chaos control*

He says with a bit a grunt as he rolled onto his back and laid on the ground, as his gears struggled to move with a bit steam flowing out of his chest, worried for her robot in his current, The purple haired girl was thinking if there any chances she could save him, she need to find  a set of gears and a stabilizer if she had any chance of fixing him and restoring the emerald .

(Also as the title suggests, the two characters here are both from the Fractured Nexus story in the Randomness Book)
