When people use other people's art and then claim it as their "OC"

I'm fine with it if it's a picture of an irl animal but with (most) drawings of humans and animals (and antros).....

WHAT RIGHT DO YOU HAVE TO USE SOMEONE ELSE'S DESIGN AND CLAIM IT AS YOUR "OC" ?!?
NONE!

It makes me so mad when people do that.
Giving credit to the artist lessens it a bit.... But not much.
It's still calling it your OC.

Tell me I'm not the only one who thinks this.
