IMY 3
It felt strange to follow what someone who wasn't his senior had told him to. He had never listened to anybody other than people who were very close to him or his seniors. He would never know why was he listening to what Monami had asked him to, but somehow her words felt like the right thing to do.
So, he decided to go talk to Sanjana the next day after training.
But unfortunately, his hopes were bashed. Apparently, Batra sir had planned a personal round of the academy and a small check of the training. The whole day was occupied. Only at 9 were they free.
At 9.15 after changing into his usual clothes, he proceeded towards her dorm. When he reached there, the only thing that stared at him from the open doors was Monami's plant, Gappu...or whatever its name was.
He decided to not enter the room as the occupants were not there. As he was turning to walk away, he bumped into something, or rather someone...or someones? It was monami and sid, Sid quickly ducked behind her.
"Monami..."
She looked at him and smiled.
"Oh...hi...vaise..vo idhar nahi hai. Batra sir ke cabin me check karo.."
Karan nodded and was about to leave when,
"Uh..karan..."
"Yes?" He said turning back. Something else too definitely moved in his heart.
"All the best..."
"Thank you." He smiled back and walked away.
Monami stared at him, almost dreaming.
"Monu bro...Dole-Shole cute hai na?"
"Vo to hai....I mean NO! HE-HE'S NOT."
Monami turned towards him, flabbergasted and red from embarrassment. But Sid being sid, ran off with a cheeky smile on his face. Monami too ran off after him.

Karan was a few feet away from the cabin when he saw Sanjana leave with a bunch of papers in her hands. Resignation, he figured. She didn't look too happy about it.
"Sa--"
Before he could stop her, she had already left.
Sighing, he decided not to follow her and give her some space. He did not want to make it harder than it already was. She knew what she was doing, hopefully.

Sanjana walked out of Batra sir's cabin with a light stack of papers, but the weight of what they carried was difficult to bear. She had already submitted a written appeal for a month's leave, a lot of paperwork was to be done today. As for resignation, neither her hand not her heart was complying.
Halfway down the corridor, she heard footsteps behind her, by the sound of the footsteps, she made out who it was. He called her, and she pushed herself to ignore him. It stung her, but she had no other choice. If she turned back now, she would never be able to part.
