THE MAHAJANS 

"yeh wala nahi wo wala"

"arre iska colour bohut phikha hai"

"yeh wala Karan ke dress ke saath match karega"

"Han roses and orchids hi chahiye"

This was the scenario at the Mahajans. Our to be bride, who once upon a time didn't want to marry, was now super excited for her marriage. Just how fast the night changes!

Deepak: Isse dekhke kaun kahega, isko shaadi se nafrat thi kuchh dino pehle....

Juhi: (smiling) ooffoo deepak.. Aaj tak madam ka dhyaan sirf apni duty pe tha... aaj jaake kisi insaan ke liye iska dil dhadak raha hai...

Deepak: (emotional) Baat to sahi hai.. (and the wiped his tears)

Monami came and hugged both of them..

Mo: Aasun chhupane ke liye nahi hote.. Aur waise bhi.. aap log aise emotional hoke bethoge to me nahi karne wali shaadi..

juhi: (for fun) Achha theek hai to hum karan ko mana kardete..

mo: KYAA.. NAHI ..

Deepak and Juhi started laughing. The trio shared a family hug...

THE SHERGILS

Scene to yahan bhi thoda similar hai...

"Usko lilies se allergy hai.. make sure lilies kahin bhi use naa ho"

"Arre Kaka aap ghar ki bahurani laane ki taiyaari karrahe hain.. thoda to josh dikhaiye."

"Yeh wali sherwani sahi hai.. Monu ke lehenge se match bhi karega"

"Dekho mujhe koi kami nahi chahiye taiyaariyon me"

Karan was like: Kabhi idhar kabhi udhar.. Aakhir kaam bhi sahi se hona chahiye na!

Sooraj: Khushi horahi yeh dekhke ki mere bete ko bilkul waisi ladki mili jaise wo chahta tha..

Kashish: Sahi kaha.. Monami ke aane ke baad se Karan pehle se zyaada khilkhilane laga hai.. Yeh dono hamesha khush rahein..

Karan came and put one hand on Sooraj's shoulder and the other on Kashish's shoulder.

both: Kya hua janaab? Thak gaye?

K: Haan.. 

They both caressed his hairs and he rested her head on their shoulders...

After a lot of hustle and bustle, finally all arrangements were done. 

ENGAGEMENT DAY
VENUE: AT THE MAHAJANS 

Everyone was excited for the engagement. It was a simple celebration. Only the very close friends of Mahajans and Shergils were invited. Sid and Koel came from Monami's side. Both are doctors and childhood friends of monami. Sanju and Faizi came from Karan's side. The three share a sibling bond with each other. They too are commandos and Karan's closest friends..

Monami came downstairs and Karan was just lost in her.  She saw this and blushed. Everyone coughed to bring Moran out of  their lost world. Monami signed Karan that he looked very handsome. 

The ceremony started. Karan slid the ring into her finger and kissed her hand. She blushed again. Monami to slid the ring in his fingers. 

Karan: (whispered to monu) Dil se to tumhein apna maan hi liya tha.. aaj officially tum meri hui..

Mo: Sabar karo Agent Shergil.. Abhi to shaadi baaki hai..

K: Sagai karli to shaadi kaunsi badi baat hai Mrs.Shergil..

Mo: (blushing and shocked) Abhi se Mrs.Shergil ! aapkii gaadi ki speed kuchh zyaada hi tez hai

Sid, Sanju, Koel, Faizi: KUCHH BAATEIN SHAADI KE BAAD KE LIYE BHI BACHAKE RAKHO

Moran were embarrassed and slightly blushed too.

After a lot of chit chat, leg pulling, feast and celebration, finally the day was over...

SKIP TO MARRIAGE:

Moran were nervous but happy. 

Pandit ji mantra jaap karne me vyast the.. Karan bro mandap pe bethkar impatient horahe the.. arre monu se milna tha unhein.. aur jaise hi pandit ji ne dulhan ko bulane ko kaha, karan bro ke chehre par ek badi si smile aagayi😀

Koel and Juhi brought monami.. Her cheeks were cherry red due to blushing and makeup.. 

The marriage rituals began. Monami was emotional but Karan held her hand in assurance. She smiled at this. Koel did the gathbandhan and Moran took the Pheras. They just completed their 7th phera when...............................................................................................................................

Faizi and Sid whispered something in Karan and Monami's ears respectively. Both their faces turned worried. 

Kashish: Kya hua tumdono ko achanak.. Aisa chehra kyun bana rakha hai..

juhi: Sid kya baat hai?

Sid and Faizi: Wo.. Monami/ Karan ko urgently mission pe jaana hoga hamare saath..

(SAME MISSION HAI... KARAN KO AS COMMANDO JAANA HAI AND MONAMI KO MEDICAL TEAM HEAD BANKE)

Deepak, Juhi, Sooraj, Kashish : KYAA

Moran looked at each other. They heard the guests whispering rubbish..(ab samajh jaao kaise ruubish.. neighborhood ke aunties hote hain hai na)

"Arre ye shaadi ko majak samjha hai kya.. Shaadi pe bhi kaam"

"Maana dono kaam karte hain.. par shaadi ke mandap se thodi uthke jaayenge

MORAN: JAAYENGE (and looked at each other.. they nodded in yes)

K: Hum jaante hain shaadi koi majak nahi hai.. yeh bhi jaante hain ki aise shaadi se uthke jaana nahi chahiye.. par humdono ne ek dusre se waada kiya tha ki hamara rishta hamare desh ke beech nahi aayega.. hum ekdusre ke prati aur hamare desh ke parti hamare kartavya me kabhi partiality nahi karenge..

Mo: Humdono ko ek dusre ke kaam par garv hai.. ek dusre ke liye Dil ka rishta to hum puri zindagi nibhayenge.. par uske saath hamare desh ke liye Duty bhi nibhayenge.

Juhi: Bachon par.. Shaadi adhuri chhodke?

Karan thought for some time. He picked the vermilion and filled monami's maang. he then took the mangalsutra and tied it to monami's neck.Monami was just looking at him all this time.

K: Lo.. hogayi shaadi puri.. (forwarding his hand to monami) Chale Mrs.Shergil.

monami smiled with tears. She was going to put her hand on Karan's but then thought of something... She took off her veil and Karan's shawl which was tied with the gathbandhan, folded it and handed it to the elders.

Mo: Mumma ne kaha tha.... Gathbandhan khulna nahi chahiye..

All smiled at her.  She went to Karan and held his hand..  They both went to their rooms and within minutes changed their clothes and came down..  Karan was in his mission uniform.. Same with monami.. 

Both came from the either sides and looked at each other..  They saluted each other..

Both remembered their first meet..  Karan as a commando and monami as doctor giving introduction to each other.. A smile crept on their faces.

Karan forwarded his hand for a handshake and said : SPECIAL AGENT KARAN SHERGIL

Monami: DR. MONAMI MAH.. (she paused and smiled)  DR. MONAMI KARAN SHERGIL

Karan smiled widely, kissed her forehead and both walked hand in hand for their mission❤

"Dil or duty?" ,the society asked..

"Why not both?" their actions replied...

This is the last part of the story..

This story was inspired by a real life incident which happened in one of my friends'  life and i felt of modifying it a bit and writing a short story.. 😅😂
