*4 years later*

"Akansha...I should be receiving a material shipment today. Make sure it has the chiffon I requested." Khushi spoke into the phone as she typed away in her computer. Khushi was in AMORE right now working away in her office. The launch of the winter line was just around the corner and Khushi wanted to make sure her every design only topped what she has created in the past.

Khushi furiously typed at her computer when a knock on her office door caught her attention. Khushi looked up to see Arnav smiling at her. Khushi's own smile bloomed as her husband of 5 years walked into her office. He only got more handsome with time, Khushi thought, as she watched Arnav come closer. He recently finished shooting another movie and was now taking some time off before signing his next project. Khushi saved her work and turned off her computer.

"Ready to go home?" Arnav asked as he came in and stood in front of Khushi's desk.

Khushi nodded and stood up from her chair, walking around her desk to meet Arnav. As Arnav reached out to pull Khushi to him for a kiss, a small ball of energy beat him to it.

"HI MAMA!" a little girl ran into the room and went straight to Khushi. Khushi laughed and caught Ahaana right in time. Khushi picked Ahaana up and placed her on her lap, giving her a loud kiss on the cheek.

"Hi baby! Did you have a fun day with papa?" Khushi asked Ahaana as she wrapped her arms around her mother's neck. Ahaana was 5 years old now and a handful to say the least. Khushi lovingly gazed at her daughter...and what a sight she was. Ahaana had Payal's big brown eyes and Arnav's lips...and she was the most beautiful daughter in Khushi's eyes.

Ahaana nodded excitedly and replied, "YES! We played with dolls...then papa gave me a bath...then he gave me noodles...then he gave me cookies..." she happily chatted away.

"Is that so...Papa gave you cookies...?" Khushi repeated slowly and turned to Arnav, who was looking at her sheepishly. He cleared his throat, "She means veggies...I gave her veggies..." Arnav tried to salvage the situation as his wife gave him a disapproving look. Khushi gave him a 'I'll deal with you later' look and turned back to Ahaana.

Completely oblivious to the trouble she just placed her father in, Ahaana leaned over to her mother and whispered, "Mama...can I...?" Ahaana asked, her eyes sparkling with innocence and joy.

It was a thing Khushi and Ahaana did. Khushi then leaned over and whispered back, "You can." Khushi then put Ahaana down on her feet and Ahaana went up to her tip toes...and placed a kiss over Khushi's bulging and heavily pregnant stomach.

Khushi was 6 months pregnant and carrying a boy. That's right...they were pregnant. Up until last year, Khushi was set on not having children of her own and that didn't change even after she came back to Arnav that fateful rainy night. Arnav accepted Khushi's decision and never pushed her.

However, one day...at the dinner table, Ahaana spoke about a school friend having a baby brother. She then innocently said, "It would be nice to have a brother to play with...or a sister..." Ahaana then continued to eat her food, not seeing the look that passed between her parents.

And how could Khushi not give her daughter what she wanted? That evening, when Khushi and Arnav looked at each other from across the dining table...they knew that they were going to have another baby.

Khushi's heart swelled when she felt Ahaana's small lips on her belly. The baby kicked in response and Khushi's hand automatically went to her stomach. Ahaana's eyes widened when she felt the kick and she looked up at Khushi in astonishment. "I think he likes you..." Khushi said, gazing down at Ahaana, smiling.

Ahaana then turned to her father, wide eyed, "Did you see that papa! Did you see!? Did you see!?" she gushed, ecstatic at feeling her little brother kick.

Arnav watched the scene before him, and his heart swelled at seeing the two most precious things in his life. He couldn't believe how lucky he was...to have found love twice...to have the most wonderful daughter...with now a son on the way. Arnav then looked at Khushi and felt a burst of love for her. Was he crazy...or did Khushi only become more beautiful with time? And being pregnant, only added to the glow to her face.

Arnav looked down at Ahaana, "I did baby...why don't you go tell Akansha?" Arnav said, smiling at her as she rushed off. When they were alone, Arnav took this moment to reach for Khushi and pull her in for a kiss. He softly grazed his lips over hers...once...twice...and he sighed when he pulled back.

"I love you...you know that right?"

Khushi felt her heart jump inside her chest. 5 years of marriage...and her feelings for Arnav only grew stronger. Khushi reached up and gave Arnav another quick peck on the lips.

"I know." She replied. "Soooo...cookies huh?" She asked.

Arnav flinched, "I was hoping you forgot about that..." he replied, giving her a guilty look. It didn't take a genius to see that Ahaana had Arnav wrapped around her little finger. Khushi couldn't help but giggle at her husband and playfully slapped his arm.

Arnav grinned back at her and held her close to him by her waist, her baby bump nestled between them. Khushi sighed and took this moment to wrap her arms around Arnav's neck, enjoying this intimate moment. She was happy...so very happy.

"Arnav..." Khushi began, "I..."

"I know." Arnav simply said, cutting Khushi off. Khushi smiled back at him when he did that. I love you too...that's what she was going to say...but Arnav knew that...just like she knew how much he loved her.

So immersed in each other, Arnav and Khushi didn't notice Ahaana peak at them from the doorway. She smiled at her parents and looked up. "Thank you for giving me the bestest mama and papa ever", she said to God. She then turned around and skipped down the hallway to the front of the store, excited to tell Akansha about her baby brother kicking her.

In the office, Arnav held Khushi for a little while longer before letting her go. "Ready to go home?" he asked.

"Yes." Khushi replied. She reached over for her purse and started walking out with Arnav. A gust of wind entered the office and for some reason, Khushi felt something inside her. She glanced back and her eyes fell on Payal's picture that was hanging on her wall. Feeling that sweet ache in her chest and nothing but fondness for her sister, Khushi gave a knowing smile to Payal's joyful face.

"Everything ok?" Arnav asked when he felt Khushi stop next to him to look at something.

Khushi turned to Arnav, "It's nothing." She replied cryptically, knowing that it was a secret between sisters. Khushi then placed her hand in Arnav's...and with the love of her life...she walked out of the office to find their daughter.

Who would have thought...that a marriage of convenience...would have turned out to be just what two lost souls needed?

This relationship started with extreme heartbreak and loneliness. Arnav and Khushi came together because of need...the need to take care of a newborn baby...and the need to forget their heartbreak...just for a few moments. Every relationship has love...some even have friendship....others have trust....and the lucky ones have respect.

Like others, their relationship slowly developed friendship...trust...respect...and comfort. Then eventually....it turned into true love. But before any of this....their love had need....and it's this need that sustained them. Their love became a love that was more than love...it became their need...it became...their zaroorat.
