Whatever it is that you want, whether it is a better career, a spouse, a miracle even, whatever it is you are hoping to attain, please do not feed into the people who will encourage you to settle for less, to set lower standards, or even tell you that your goals or wishes are unrealistic. In those moments, you tell them that you will not do any of those things because you know WHO you are dealing with. Tell them you are dealing with the One who brought everything into existence from nothing, the One who makes something exist simply by saying "Be and it is," the One who can give you better than you were even asking for. Remind them that no goal or wish is too big for Him to bring into reality.

Tell them this, because I think too often we encourage each other to step down than to step up, to compromise to make others feel secure, to feed into the limitations that the creation set for us while forgetting the unlimited bounty of the Creator. Maybe by you believing this and saying it to those who encourage you to settle or lower your standards, you will encourage them to strive for more and remember the One who has much to give to every soul.

God says in Hadith qudsi
"I am what my servant thinks of me"
