...

In the wildest and depths of forests, there are tribes that live peacefully not until it was hunt by many.

I ran not minding the stones I could step in. If I'll mind it, my prey will be lost, don't let it be a distraction.

I closed one of my eyes and focused on the target before throwing the wood I'm holding—its tip is sharp that could kill someone.

I stopped and start catching my breath when I saw the animal's body die as its blood covers its body. I smiled and walked towards it.

I lifted this animal and went to our tribe, my mother will be happy about this.

“Zahara!” I heard my mom automatically called me when she saw me out of the forest with this animal hanging on my shoulder. I went to her and put down the animal on the ground.

“Its fur is good for clothing,” my mom commented.

I looked around trying to find someone as she examines its fur. My eyebrows knitted when I can't really see him.

“Mom, where's Tyrant?” I asked.

“Oh, your wolf pet? He's in the forest with your father, he wants Tyrant to stay here but your wolf went first to the forest.” She chuckled.

I again looked into the forest, I can't resist the feeling so I went there again but not to hunt for food or clothing, I want to go to the falls to take a bath but my attention diverted to nature.

I stopped after feeling someone else's presence, I'm not the only one here at this spot.

My senses intensified, I kicked the arm of someone when he tends to touch me. He instantly fell on the ground groaning about what I've done.

“What do you want?” I asked him.

“I-I—” he became unconscious before he could finish uttering a word.

I shrugged my head and put his arms on my shoulder. He should be treated because I saw some wounds not only on one spot of his, he got so many.

“Mom! I found someone in the woods! He needs medication!” our neighbours were a bit shocked, he does not dress like us.

“Who's that?!” I heard my father's voice and Tyrant ran towards us.

“I don't know him,” I uttered and looked at his face, innocently sleeping.

“Put him here, I'll take care,” mom said and I followed.

I took care of him first, I can't leave someone we can't even trust.

“W-where am I?” oh, he's already awake.

“In our territory, thanks to me. I found you and thanks to my mom, your wounds were already treated.”

“Thank you,” he uttered.

I went outside.

“Tyrant!” I called my wolf pet. I pet him for a while before we entered the forest again.

Few minutes of walking, we reached the falls. It was so beautiful and clean, it's clear and there's no trace of garbages around that could destroy its beauty.

“I didn't know that there are still falls like this that is crystal clear,” he said amazed on what he can see.

“You need to rest, why did you follow?”

“I just want to thank you, to know you more.” He sat beside me.

“What's your name?”

“Zahara.” I touched the water with my hands.

“You came in that tribe, don't you?”

“Obviously, I am.” He chuckled with my answer.

“I now know why your name is Zahara, you're not Zahara for nothing,” he said that made me look at him.

“I wish we also have rivers as clear as this.” He played with the water.

Seconds of silent and it became quite awkward. It's only the sound of the birds chirping that we can hear.

“Don't you have any plans of leaving the forest?” he asked breaking the deafening silence.

“This is where I was born, this is our nature, we're the only one who takes care of this place,” I uttered.

“We're preserving and taking care of nature because of its beauty but other earthlings destroy it continuously,” I added.

“What happens to your tribe if others from the city will cut off the trees in this forest? Will you live in the city either?”

“We have no choice but to fight when that time happens. Like what you've said, I'm not named Zahara for nothing. Lions will fight once another lion was considered as a threat to steal their habitat.”

“Nature is the only thing we got, don't take it away.”

I am born to be wild as a lion, we don't let anyone leave without getting hurt, steal something and you'll die. Free like a bird flying into the sky looking for peace. To be bolder than you think.

Zahara is the name.
