Isabelle POV
"We should definitely go on a trip," Elora declared with her hands placed on her hips as she looked at us. "Trip?" Xavier asked.
"Yes, a trip. I need a break and we all need a break to relax."
"I'm okay with whatever you say." Xavier looked at Cyrus and I. "What do you two say?"
"Whatever Isabelle says," Cyrus replied, closing the file he was reading.
"Wow, nice escapism. But that doesn't work all the time," Elora pointed. "What do you say, Isabelle?"
"Yeah, I want to go on a trip too."
"Yes! It's decided then. We are going on a trip." Elora yelled excitedly before dancing around.
"Careful, love."
"Thank god, we are having a holiday. How I wanted to go on a trip rather than sitting in the big mansion," Elora complained. Cyrus wrapped his arm around my shoulder and started playing with my hair.
"But you love it the most."
"That I do because you are with me."
Cyrus pulled me closer. "Soon," he whispered. I gave him a questioning look when I didn't understand. He just kissed my forehead before looking at Xavier and Elora.
"Isabelle, do you have any place on your list? The place you wanted to visit," Elora asked.
"Hmm. I don't think so."
She gave me a friendly smile. "It's okay. You can tell us. I don't have any destination and it's a waste of asking them for suggestions." I played with Cyrus' fingers while I thought about it.
"Hmm― Hawaii? I always wanted to visit the beach."
"Hawaii, it is!" Elora said.
"Hawaii."

"Are you excited? Because I'm," Elora asked me while Cyrus and Xavier were bringing our luggage.
"Yeah," I said with the same excitement as her. We are going to stay in Hawaii for two weeks.
Last night, my father called me. It wasn't a pleasure call. He bit off my ear and made crude remarks. Cyrus took the phone and warned him to speak respectfully. Caroline and Sara took it upon themselves to send hate messages every day. I shook my head, not wanting to think about them and ruin my day.
I was taken aback when Cyrus mentioned that we would be flying Xavier's private plane. I didn't know that he owned a private plane even though Cyrus mentioned that Xavier comes from old money.
An hour passed before we all sat down in our seats and buckled our seatbelts. Once the plane took off, the wine was served. I decided to have a glass to calm my nerves. This would be my first time on a plane. I never got the chance to take a flight somewhere. I looked around the interior of the plane. It's simple yet elegant.
"When are you planning to shift to London?" Xavier asked.
"Not sure about it," Cyrus replied, placing his champagne glass on the rester.
"London?" I asked them.
Xavier shifted his gaze at me. "We have a joint transportation business in London. Right now, I need his presence in London. The business expanded and there's too much pressure." I nodded my head.
"It isn't fixed, yet," Cyrus said, holding my hand. "I will make a decision once we are back in New York."
"Awe isn't our Cyrus so cute when he uses his gentle tone on Isabelle?" Elora asked. I looked away, knowing I would be blushing any moment.
"He's smitten," Xavier teased.
"Totally," Cyrus replied.
"Wow." I smiled while they laughed.

Elora laughed when Xavier lifted her off the ground and held her in his arms. "Okay... Okay... I lost. Now let me walk."
Cyrus held my hand as we waited for our car. Once the car came, Elora and Xavier rushed. They got settled in the back seats.
"What's your favourite place?" I asked him.
"You will know soon." I looked at the seating in confusion. The driver stepped away, handing Cyrus the car keys.
"Who is going to drive us?" I asked.
"You two lost the race. It's either you or him," Xavier answered.
"Ugh?"
"Your soon-to-be husband owns this car. Ohh no, he owns a few properties as well," Elora replied. Cyrus opened the car door for me. Once settled, Cyrus started driving. I have no idea where we are going to stay.
I looked out of the window. The sun is setting, making the sky look brownish red. It is amazing. Birds flew in groups. Few tourists are strolling on the roads. The market vendors are setting down their shops as they are done for the day.
It took us some time before we reached our place. I was going to get down but Cyrus placed his hand on my thigh and signalled not to step out.
There's a staff who welcomed us with flower garlands. It was fascinating. Xavier took the house keys and our luggage was being taken from the car.
"Come on." Cyrus tugged at my head. We started walking towards the beach house. I could hear the sound of seagulls and the sound of waves crashing.
"Are we renting this place?" I asked. Elora and Xavier stayed back in the car.
"No."
"Hmm?"
"I bought this property a year ago." I looked around the driveway. The house isn't big but it is spacious. "It's beautiful."
"Come on, I will show you the house." I smiled up at him. "What about them?"
"They know this place. They have been here."
"Okay." The doors were already open. We remove our footwear. "We usually roam around barefoot. I could get you house slippers."
"No, it's okay." We entered the foyer area before we entered the living space with an open kitchen. The flooring is wooden flooring. There's a wooden sofa and a recliner to one side and the other side of the living room has a dining area. "The ground floor has two bedrooms and one common washroom."
"One is used as a store room and the other is a guest bedroom." I nodded my head, looking around. He showed me around the ground floor. The whole house has coastal decor and high-ceiling windows. Allowing the sunlight inside. But right now, the curtains cover the windows.
"I will show you the best part of this house." He took me to the back door. He opened it and we were hit by the sunlight. There's a deck and lounge chairs. But what caught my attention was the beach.
"It's the beach." Cyrus chuckled. "Yes, we have private access to the beach."
"Wow. I love this." He wrapped his arms around my shoulders from behind as he looked at the waves. There weren't many people and the beach was empty. "You won't be finding people here. The whole properties are private properties and they hardly show up."
"Oh."
"We will go for a dip in the evening. It's burning now." I nodded my head and we went back into the house. Xavier and Elora are now sitting on the sofa.
"There's two master bedrooms and one kid's room, upstairs."
"We will take the first room," Xavier said.
"Sure," Cyrus replied. "We will go now. We are tired and need a nap."
"See you later, girl," Elora said.
"Do you want to drink something? I asked the chef to make a drink," Cyrus asked. "I want to drink sweet lime."
"Sure." I took my seat and went through the messages while Cyrus went to tell the chef.
Cyrus sat beside me. "We will go out for dinner." I hummed.
"Do you frequently visit Hawaii?" I asked, bringing my legs up and turning my body to see him. "Yes. Well, I have plans to open backpacking hostels over here. So I need to travel back and forth."
"That's nice. How's the plan going?"
He played with the strands of my hair. "It will take another two years." We looked at each other before he leaned towards me to kiss my lips.
"I'm happy that, I'm here with you," he said.
"I wouldn't be anywhere but here." He smiled before pulling me for another kiss.
