My first poetry review is of an anthology by GayuniSH named "The Dark Side of the Moon". No prejudice I promise! Okay... let's get to it!

Cover:

The colours are well used in the cover. I think the shadow and black letters create a great contrast with the brightness of the rest of the cover. I also like how the shadow and letters serve as a good representation of the darkness mentioned in the title and how even though you're talking about the darkness, you don't fail to acknowledge the bright features. It shows that the moon doesn't just have a dark side. All that one has to do is to look again from a different perspective.

Diction/Imagery:

Each poem seems unique through your choice of words. Some words are downright easy to understand while some have subtle shades of meaning, some tell wonderful stories, some possess a relatable edge.

Your words do not stop within visual imagery. It appeals to other senses as well. Your use of certain punctuations like the comma causes the dramatic pause needed for one to truly reflect on the lines and comprehend the messages you're attempting to convey to ask the necessary questions. I also admire the fact that you refuse to omit current situations or issues like the coronavirus and its effects. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who can relate to your "Lockdown" poem!

Grammar:

There were hardly any alarming errors of typographical or grammatical nature.

I especially like your effective use of spacing in each poem. Most poets use poetic license as an excuse for their poems to be messy and be missing the regular flow associated with reading poems.

I like your dedication to organisation!

Your poems are really insightful and thought-provoking. I'm sure many expect more coming soon so keep writing!
