I raced down the stairs and over to the small tree I had in a pot. I started placing the presents around the pot. I set up small cards in everyone's seats like my family did on Christmas. I turned on the lights for the tree and fixed the small decorations I made. It might be the apocalypse but I can still be festive. I positioned a vase full of acorns, pine cones, and spray painted nuts. I lit the two candles next to it and on the sides of the candles I had paper trees I wrapped with yarn and glued on buttons. I took a garland out of my bag and hung it across the window. I hung some ornaments on the tree with lights strung around it. I set a bowl of almost stale cookies on the table. They were in the shapes of mittens and hats with sprinkles.

Once everything was decorated I looked at the time. 6:30. I still had about an hour before everyone wakes up. I have been telling them all about this for a month now. Hopefully they got gifts for each other. I looked around to make sure everything was perfect. I fixed a strand of garland that was out of place on the railing of the stairs. I made sure 10k's cake was still intact under the tree and peeked into everybody's rooms. I headed back down stairs and sat in a chair waiting.

-Timeskip a few minutes to when everybody is awake-

I was sitting in the chair reading when I heard everybody's alarms go off. Not five minutes later Meg and 10k were out their door and looking for their places to sit. Like I said, they act like they are four when they are together. Red led 5k to his seat, he was still half asleep and didn't know what was going on. Warren and Doc walked down the stairs together while talking about going on a run. Addie trailed slowly after them. When everyone was in their spots I took the boxes from other people and placed them under the tree. I started with my gifts, handing everyone there personalized presents. Doc was about to open his when I held my hand up.

"Youngest opens the first gift, then it goes from youngest to oldest." Doc looked disappointed that he had to go last. 5k finally snapped back to reality and started ripping away the paper. He opened the box and took out the first series of Warrior Books, hugging them all. He tucked away the gears and started reading the rest of the first book. I would've been next but I didn't get myself a gift, that I was going to open in front of them. Next was Red since her Meg and 10k were all the same age. She opened the small box to reveal the necklace I made. She put it on and quickly smiled at me. Meg and 10k opened theirs at the same time. Meg gasped as she read the carving on the knives. She jumped up and gave me a hug then sat down to watch 10k finish opening his. His face lit up when he saw the Twinkie cake. I tossed him a fork and he dug into the pan of deliciousness. I pointed to Addie and she opened her gift. She slipped on the bracelet and gave me a hug too.

Warren and Doc opened at the same time and Warren changed her holder before giving me a big hug. Doc was freaking out and yelling about how much he loved me. "I always knew you'd be great in this group!" Doc went on. I rubbed my neck and we opened the presents from Meg and 10k and the presents from Warren. From Warren I got a box of Oreos and a cat stuffed animal. From 10k I got three cat beanie boos and a dog beanie baby. Meg told me my gift was outside and I had to wait until later to open it. I'm confused now....
