Driving down the road in the junk you call a car was hell. I mean, and I thought I saw everything and road everything. But Addy and Mac were having the time of their lives. Lucky love birds.

"What?" Addy asked Mack

"You smell," Mack laughed back messing with Addy

"I do?" Addy said in a 'really' tone

"Yeah," Mack replied still laughing

"When was the last time you changed your underwear?" Addy shot back

"What underwear," Mack whispered

And with that, I gagged. Just ew, remind me not to touch Mack anywhere. It wasn't until a few minutes later, Addy saw something.

"Do you guys see that," she asked

I looked and by the looks of things, the people who robbed us are robbing a family. Everyone got out of the car and Charlie was saying how he wants going to let that happen. I got out of the car but looked around.

Six non-armed men were sitting execution-style. On their knees and hands behind their head. Then I looked at the little boy and the little girl. The girl seemed to be scared but the boy had a look that made me freeze in my spot.

Memories of my father came rolling in. I tensed up at this and Murphy seemed to be the only one who noticed. I resurged him I was alright. He moved on trying to get the group not to go on.

But then it hit me, shit!

"NO GUYS THIS ISN'T WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE-," I yelled trying to get them to stop but my stupid hurt knee made me fall. Hitting my knee on the ground I hissed in pain. Murphy saw and came running up to me.

"It's a robbery," the old man said answering Charlie's question by pulling out a gun.

And with that, every one of my old HighSchool bullies was dead. In a matter of seconds. Take that shit heads.

"Put your weapons down," the father demanded while his children and hoe of a wife got in the truck. She looks just like my Aunt Karen.(see what I did there, lol)

The father then jumped in the truck and drove off.

"Damn it!" I yelled kicking the old trash car and hissing in pain again

"Never get out of the boat," Doc said

We all got back to the junker. But decided to sit differently. Warren was driving, Charlie was sitting beside her, Murphy, Doc, and Cassandra were sitting in the back. Addy and Mack were the lookouts, and 10k and I sat in the front hood.

"Can't this thing go any faster," Murphy complained

"You can always get out and push," Warren said popping the 'p' on push

"Haha no not me sister, I'm special," Murphy replied with a smartass tone

"Talking to you makes me rethink this whole saving humanity thing," Warren said which made me grin a little

"How's your knee," 10k asked with worry in his voice

"Well, let's just say it's been worst before," I answered while taking another drink of liquor I manage to get off one of those bullies

"About the time in Philly, I'm sorry I couldn't save you. You don't know how bad I wanted to shoot that guy who was touching you," 10k confessed while grabbing his gun tighter

I smiled and grabbed his hand.

"You know, I'm not mad. You did what you had to do and that's alright. And look I'm here and still kicking doll," I replied making sure he doesn't feel guilty. Because it ain't his fault it's mine, "you shouldn't beat yourself up over something that was out of your control. Trust me 10k, it's not your fault. Don't blame yourself."

10k nodded his head and looked over to the other side. Once I started looking forward I saw something that would probably never be topped.

"Stop the car," I said while banging on the side of the car

"Is that...?" Addy questioned getting out of the car

"The family," Charlie said while looking at them in stock

Zs were eating the guts of the dad. Let's just say they were having a feast with the other three. I grabbed my liquor and downed it. I know it's bad for my liver but come on, give me a break. It's the damn apocalypse.

"We need to get off this road," I finally said throwing the liquor bottle on the side of the road.

*time skip*

Finally, we came across a fast food place. Maybe Addy can set up something so we can talk to citizen Z.

Well on the bright side we got our truck back. Today has just been a long day.

"Okay Addy, I need you to set up a signal so we can contact Citizen Z," Charlie ordered. It's like he can read my mind.

"Alright," Addy said whole hopping out of the truck and getting to work

*another time skip*

"Northern light, come in! This is Sergeant Garnett. Do you copy," Charlie spoke into the fry man. Never thought I would be saying that.

"Yes, I copy you," Citizen Z said while joy back. Hell, what took him so long

"Thank god, we've been trying to contact you for a while now," Charlie said

"What are you broadcasting off of," Citizen Z asked, fair enough

"Crowing the French Fry Guy, two of our team guys Addy and Y/n helped set it up," Charlie said  but my gut tells me that wasn't a good idea

"Y/n Y/L/N, is she there," Citizen Z asked

"Umm yeah?" Charlie answered looking back at me

"Can I talk to her," Citizen Z asked

"I guess," Charlie said signaling me to come over there

Awww what the heck. What's the worst that could happen? We're already in the damn apocalypse. Getting up, I threw my bag and made my way towards the human fry-guy sign?

"Hey Y/n," Citizen Z said kinda sounding shy

"Hey?" I replied sounding kinda confused

"How's it going down there," he asked. Well gotta tell him the truth

"It's pretty F up down here. How 'bout you," I asked

"Well you know, watching over the world. But what can I do for ya folks," he asked

"Can we get a chocolate shake and fries," Doc asked and I started busted out laughing

"And a large number 1," I said but was pushed out of the way by Murphy.

(He didn't push you hard. Slightly. And yes, I feel like if Murphy had someone who he viewed as a younger sibling or child sooner, then his character development would have come a lot faster)

"Can we just get this over with before the Zs rips our guts out and uses them as neckwear," Murphy said cutting me off. Rude.

"Wait hold up. Is that Murphy?" Citizen Z asked and pauses for a few minutes, "Outstanding, glad to see you alive sir."

"Sir? As long as I've known Murphy, I've never heard someone call him Sir," I giggle to 10k. He just smiled and went back to his work

"Yeah well, not for long, if we don't get off this road. We need alternative transport. Anything. Airplane, helicopter, hot air balloon, anything," Charlie said taking back control 

"Well, you're in luck. I've been monitoring the EIC. The general may still be locked up in there. Oh and they have a helicopter," Citizen Z

"Where is it?" Charlie asked again

"Virginia," Citizen Z said

"Now that's 100 miles south from here. We're going West not South. West," Murphy said arguing with everyone

Man, this is boring. Maybe they have food here? Hopefully a hamburger. Damn, it's been, what three years tops. But of course, Zs had to come out of nowhere.

"Puppies and Kittens!" Warren yelled

"We gotta go!" Charlie yelled running towards the truck

"But what about my hamburger!" I cried while doc dragged me to the truck

"NOOOOOOOOOO," I cried dramatically

Rest In Peace my beautiful hamburger.

"Bye Y/n! Call me where you get there," I heard Citizen said before getting torn apart, my true love. Mr. Hamburger...
