***

I watched in disbelief as my fiancée ran into the room, two swords in her hands. She sliced through the Dragons with a speed and rage I have never before seen on anyone. By the time they realized she was there, she was already driving a sword through them.

"Who the hell is she?" Bo asked us.

"No one is going to harm my Bond," blossom replied. It was just us and five Dragons left.

"Whatever the fuck that means. Whoever you are, this isn't over," Bo spat before he and the remaining Dragons sprinted out of the room.

"What the hell was that?" Malachi and I asked simultaneously referring to blossom.

"Even though we all know who The Dragons are, they weren't here on a mission for The Dragons," Zuri replied as she wiped away her blood.

"How do you know that?" Nigel asked her.

"They're looking for a vial that only one person would know what to do with," she replied.

"Black," I guessed, to which she nodded.

"If I'm not mistaken, it's a special formula that would've been the answer to Black's Super Soldier conspiracy," she added.

"Would've? You mean you got rid of it?" Malachi asked.

"I didn't get rid of it per se," she said, suddenly sounding off.

"Please don't speak in fucking riddles right now," I told her.

"I didn't let it go to waste. You just witnessed it in action," she hinted.

It took a few seconds before it dawned on us.

"BLOSSOM?"

"ELLIEPHANT?"

"ELLE?"

"ME?"

The guys, blossom and I shouted concurrently.

"She's the perfect host for it, because you won't believe what I found out," Zuri said.

"What could you possibly have discovered that would explain why you injected my fiancée with a formula that will put her life in danger?" I asked.

"That's just the thing! By injecting the formula into her, I did you both a favour," she replied.

"I'm joining my fiancé on the 'please don't speak in fucking riddles' train," blossom commented.

"Alright, let me explain. When I found out that Noelle was kidnapped, I was concerned with finding her because of what she means to Xander. However, once I found out that she was put through the same torture as us, it got me thinking," Zuri started off.

"You don't think she was kidnapped just for her connection to Xander?" Malachi asked.

Zuri nodded. "The results of my investigation proved me right. I got a blood sample of her from Jayme since he was thinking the same thing I was. If she was kidnapped only for her association with Xander, they wouldn't have tortured her as badly as I did, and that's when we realized that she wasn't tortured as a message to Xander as we originally thought. After going through her blood, we picked up the gene that Xander, Karr, Rio, Silo, Kenya and I were kidnapped for. That's the reason why she was kidnapped, and that's why I shot the formula in her."

"She's not lying either. I ran the blood tests myself," Jayme said as he walked into the room.

"So I was kidnapped because I possess the same gene that you guys were kidnapped for?" blossom asked for confirmation.

"Correct," Zuri said with a nod.

"And you injected me with some Super Soldier Formula?" blossom asked.

Again Zuri nodded. "You were asleep when I did it, and I got passed Xander's security. I needed to make sure that Black doesn't get his hands on it."

"Except he could decide to harvest it out of Elliephant," Malachi pointed out what I was thinking.

"It's untraceable, so therefore he can't. Her genes have changed slightly, but not enough to get any v valuable information from them. The only other way that Black will be able to create that formula is by finding the person who created it, and that person is dead as far as we know. It will take forever to find their records containing the formula," Jayme replied.

"And who exactly created the formula?" I asked.

"Someone by the name of Drayfus. He died four months ago in a boating accident while he was hiding from Black. He was a friend of Zuri's father, which is how Mr Iskra ended up being in possession of the formula. Zuri and I both agreed that we needed to get rid of it, without getting rid of it," he explained.

"Why me?" blossom asked the million-dollar question.

"We picked you because of who you are, and we also knew that you joining Cypher was inevitable given your skills and relationship with Xander," Zuri responded.

"So Elliephant is a Super Soldier, on top of being the badass she denies being?" Malachi asked.

Jayme nodded. "Pretty much."

"You had no right to do what you did. You've put her in even more danger," I told them both.

"We apologize to you right now if this isn't something you want," they said to blossom.

"I honestly don't know what to feel right now, but I understand your intentions. I just need time to come to terms with this," blossom said before she left the room.

I was about to go after her, but Malachi stopped me. "Let her be."

"She could leave again," I pointed out.

"You just proposed to her, and she's got her cheerleading competition tomorrow. She's not going anywhere. Trust me," he said.

"Alright fine, but if she leaves, I'm killing you first," I told him, to which he nodded.

"Well then! I don't know how you're going to be able to possibly spin this. It looks like a PR nightmare," Nigel commented as we eyed the dead bodies around us.

"It's a good thing my father had hired people he knew wouldn't ask questions. They'll be able to help me to spin this, but I'm going to need your help with the bodies," Zuri replied.

"We're on it," I told her.

The hotel dining hall was closed off as Zuri's PR people managed to convince the guests staying there that Zuri was fine, and that it was an assassination attempt on her life. Since her father had already been murdered, people very easily believed that someone was clearly out to end the Iskra's.

We managed to get a Cypher team in who got the dead bodies out without being seen, and cleaned the dining hall. In five hours' time, the room looked like it probably did before the attack. It was spotless from the ceiling to the floor.

"You're no longer safe on your own," Aziel told Zuri.

"What other choice do I have now that Margaux has disappeared and I can't talk to her about joining Cypher?" she asked.

"I thought you were now part of Cypher through your dad," Nigel said in confusion.

"I am, but only as a Board Member," she replied.

"Doesn't that mean that you should technically be assigned your own team to protect you?" I said, remembering what Silver had told me about the Board Members.

"The team allocated to my father died with him, and again, I need Margaux if things are going to happen for me," she replied.

"Is there a way of getting around her?" Jayme asked.

"I could try, but I highly doubt it," she replied.

"Cypher's supposed to allocate you a team, and as far as I checked, no team is off limits, including us," I hinted.

"Are you saying what I think you're saying?" she asked.

"Nadia is going to have a field day with this when she gets up, but I agree with Xander. Having you with us is the safest option now that Margaux can't be reached," Malachi said.

"Well, I have no problem with it, and I'm sure Aziel and Mordecai will agree, so majority rules," Nigel commented just as Malachi's phone went off.

"We were just talking about you. How are you feeling?" Malachi said as he answered the phone. He'd put his brother on loudspeaker.

"Forget about me. Where are you guys? How's Zuri? Is she ok?" Mordecai asked.

"If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were worried about me," Zuri commented.

"Are you ok?" he asked her.

"I'm fine Kai. The guys got to me in time. Why's Malachi asking if you're ok?" she countered.

"I just went through something but I'm fine now," he replied.

"How's Nadia?" Aziel asked.

"Still out, but the doctors say she's stable and should be getting up any one of these days," he replied.

"Knowing her, she's probably not getting up because she's tired and knows that this is her only chance to rest," I joked.

"If that's the case, then she's smart because lately things are getting more and more complicated by the day," Nigel commented.

"Speaking of complicated, I believe we're supposed to take out the BNK," Mordecai commented.

"We are?" Aziel, Nigel and Malachi asked.

"Karr is out of hiding because he figures that the more we are, the better the chance we have at taking down Black. He wants our help to take down the BNK once and for all so that he can stay out of hiding and help us instead," I explained.

"Sounds doable enough. The BNK have never been the strongest group. In fact, I know where they're currently hiding out," Zuri commented.

"Where?" I asked.

"According to my sources, they're in St Barts right now, I'm just not sure where. They settled there about two weeks ago. They're set to move out in the next two weeks, but we all know that we have to attack them just as they're about to relocate since that's when they're at their weakest," she replied.

"Jayme, can you track them and then find out how many of them there are. If we're going to take them out, we need to make sure that the whole group is together. We all know what parasites they can be when scattered," I pointed out.

"So, what's the plan then?" Malachi asked me.

"We need blossom present before we make any plans because Karr entrusted her with this mission for whatever reason. We'll leave for St Barts after graduation," I responded.

Jayme raised an eyebrow at me. "Didn't Nick say he wanted to go to St Barts for some time during the summer?"

I smirked. "Why do you know that?"

"Have you ever listened to that child speak? He tells you anything and everything, whether or not you want to listen to him," he replied.

"True," Aziel, Nigel and I nodded in agreement.

"Exactly," Jayme added.

"Why do you ask though? Do you want us to bring them with?" Malachi asked.

"Might as well make a celebratory vacation out of it. We all know he's going to want to come if we're headed to St Barts," Jayme replied.

"I agree with you, but we also have to make sure that they understand that we're on a mission," Nigel added.

I shook my head. "We take them with, but we say nothing about the mission. They lesser they know, the better. We'll just have to work and vacation at the same time," I suggested.

"It's going to be hard, but not impossible, though I'm pretty sure they're going to figure it out soon enough." Aziel said.

"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it," I said.

We finished off at the hotel before heading out to the celebration party going on at the arcade. When we arrived, everyone cheered when they saw me. I'd changed out of my football gear though since it was bloody.

"Where's your fiancée?" my best friend asked me.

"Things took a turn so she's gone to cool off," I replied.

"Agent stuff?" he said lowly, to which I nodded.

"Should probably go tell my girlfriend. She was pretty freaked out when she couldn't reach her," he said before heading towards Sunny. Malachi was already at Bridgette's side.

Eli came up to me, looking quite tipsy. "Where's your wifey to be?"

Really? I'm not doing this the whole night.

I stayed the whole party through, even though I didn't want to be there. Everyone around me was celebrating. I was the one with the most to celebrate, and yet I was probably the moodiest person there. They probably thought I was being my normal closed off self.

Meanwhile I was only missing my fiancée.

I left the party at two in morning and headed back to the hotel. The party was still going, but I'd honestly reached my limits. I reached my room floor just as blossom was opening the room door. When she saw me, she ran up to me and I put my arms around her protectively.

"You're ok blossom," I said lowly.

"I know," she whispered.

I pulled away to inspect her. "Where did you go?"

"Nick took me out for ice-cream," she replied.

That would explain why I didn't see him at the party.

"He forgave you?" I asked teasingly.

She giggled. "This is Nick we're talking about. He'll always be there when I need him. He took me out for ice cream, and then once he dropped me off here, he told me that he's going back to not talking to me."

"Your brother is so weird," I said as I shook my head.

"No, the weird thing is that someone actually thinks he's cute," she corrected.

"Speaking of which, we're going to St Barts after graduation," I informed.

"How is that related to Jayme or Nick?" she asked in confusion.

"Jayme suggested that we make it a trip for everyone since Nick wanted to go there for vacation I believe," I explained.

"And Jayme just happened to know that how?" she asked.

I shrugged. "Nick apparently talks too much."

"That's bull! Nick may talk a lot, but not even I knew that he wanted to go to St Barts. Last I checked, he was still undecided about his plans for vacation. He must've either rambled it to Jayme, or he actually wanted Jayme to know, which also means that Jayme actually pays attention to him," she said.

"Ok Miss Psychologist, it's bed time for you," I said, hoisting her over my shoulder. She was babbling too much for my liking.

She giggled. "Put me down."

"I will in a second," I told her as I closed the door to the room.

I lay her down on the bed before kissing her. "You're so beautiful."

"You're just as handsome," she said, caressing my cheek.

"I can't believe you're crazy enough to agree to marrying me," I said vulnerably.

"I can't believe you were crazy enough to propose to me in the first place. Besides, why wouldn't I agree? You're my best friend, my soulmate and the love of my life. There's no one else I would think of saying yes to. I love you Xander, you and only you," she said.

I kissed her ardently, pulling her close into me. She pushed my jacket off my shoulders and I helped her to take it off. She moaned into my mouth as my cool hand skimmed past her bare stomach. She arched her back into my touch, and I knew where this was going.

I pulled away from her. "Are you sure? You still need to heal."

"I'm as healed as they come and quite frankly if you leave me in this state, I will never let you touch me for the rest of y-"

I didn't let her finish her sentence. Instead I kissed her and made sure I gave her a reason to shut up. She ran her hands across my abs beneath my t-shirt before pushing it up, leaving me shirtless. I was surprised when she flipped us over so that she was on top.

"I'm in charge."

No complaints here.

By the time my alarm went off later in the morning, she was sound asleep on my chest. I didn't want to wake her up just yet. She had a smile on her face, and I wanted to capture that moment; to engrave it into my memories.

"You're staring at me," she mumbled.

"And this still shocks you why?" I asked.

"Good point," she said before opening her eyes.

I smiled at the sight. "Good morning my beautiful blossom fiancée."

"Good morning my handsome Bond fiancé," she said with a giggle.

"What do you have to do today, and what can I help with?" I asked.

"We have a practice run in the next two hours before the championships begin, but Bridge organized for all of us to have our hair and make-up done by her sister's cosmetics people, so that only leaves me with thirty minutes to spend with you," she said as she pouted.

"I promise we'll spend some time together away from everyone else when we're in St Barts," I promised.

"Why are we going to St Barts again?" she asked.

"According to Zuri, the BNK is currently there. We need to take them out before they relocate. Jayme's looking into tracking their exact location, while Karr is counting on you to put the mission together," I replied.

She scowled. "Why is he so convinced that I can do it?"

"Just like me, he believes in your talents," I said, tapping her nose.

"Is there a deadline for when I'm supposed to have a plan? How am I supposed to figure it out? It's my first time doing this and I'm not even an official Cypher member," she pointed out.

"Jayme and I will help you. You just need to be the brains behind it. As for you not being an official member of Cypher, it's not like Margaux's around to do anything about it," I replied.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"I'm not sure what exactly is going on, but Margaux's been off the radar for weeks now. She's never disappeared before, so I don't think anyone knows what to do in this situation," I explained.

She raised her eyebrow. "Doesn't she have a vice?"

"She does, except her vice isn't around either," I responded.

"Let me get this straight. Cypher is currently just running on it's own?" she questioned sceptically.

"Now that you mention, I guess I hadn't thought about it that way. The thing is, we all know what our duties are, and for the most part, we can run things without needing to consult Margaux. However, I can see now that her absence isn't something that should be taken lightly," I said in thought.

"So what happens now? I mean, aren't things going to go to hell if Cypher has no one running it?" she asked.

"I'm sure Margaux has a plan in place. I may not always stand the woman, but there's no one better for that job than her," I replied.

"I'll take your word for it. I guess I should get ready," she said, getting up.

"I'll order some breakfast. What do you feel like having?" I asked.

"Fruit salad and waffles," she replied before closing the bathroom door.

I waited for a few seconds before I moved. "XANDER WHATEVER YOUR LAST NAME IS!"

"Yes?" I feigned innocence as she stood, naked and fuming at the door.

My God she's beautiful.

"What have you done to me?" she asked.

I shrugged. "I know not what you speak of."

"I have a performance today, one of the most important in my life, and you put HICKEYS ALL OVER MY BODY?" she asked incredulously, borderline blowing the roof off.

"Because you totally didn't do the same to me," I commented, removing the sheet that was covering me.

"That's different. You can easily hide those with your clothes. I have to go out there in my skimpy cheerleading uniform, and I can't go like this," she argued.

"I thought that's what make up is for," I said with a smirk.

She made a sound that I'm pretty sure was a growl. "Ooh I could kill you right now."

"I love you too," I said after she slammed the bathroom door.

I got dressed in some sweatpants and a t-shirt since I wouldn't need to be anywhere until the championships start, so I'd be lazing around for once. I called in our breakfast orders, before calling Bridgette and Sunny over.

"Seriously? Hickeys?" Sunny asked in a bored tone.

"We're newly engaged?" I offered as a defence.

"I'm sure you're smart enough to know that we're not buying into that bull. Where is she?" Bridgette asked. By the looks of things, they were both prepared for the task at hand.

"Bathroom," I said before they headed that way.

I listened to some more profanities being thrown my way about how inconsiderate I am for what I did, but I couldn't bring myself to even feel the slightest bit guilty. If anything, I felt proud that I'd left such profound marks on my future wife.

"There! It's like they aren't there, but you need to be careful with what you touch and rub yourself on," Sunny told blossom.

Blossom nodded. "Got it."

"You, Mr, are to stay very far away from her until after the championships," Bridgette warned me.

I chuckled. "I promise, and I'm sorry about the trouble I caused."

"Seriously! Did you have to maul her like that?" Sunny asked.

I lifted my t-shirt up. "I wasn't the only one."

"You're only newly engaged. Would you slow your roll?" Bridgette asked.

"I think you mean they need to stop rolling altogether," Sunny said as she rolled her eyes.

"We got carried away," blossom said with a blush.

"Bitch, you say that like you're promising that it won't happen again. You're the one who's supposed to be going to heaven remember? Stop playing devil's sex kitten," Sunny told her.

I burst out laughing at the priceless look on blossom's face. "And you stop playing devil. You're only one six. Let's keep it that way."

"What the hell?" I said with a scowl while it was blossom's turn to laugh at me.

"Say your goodbyes because you're not going to see each other again until after we win," Bridgette told us before she and Sunny left the room.

"I obviously can't hug you, so I'll have to settle for wishing you luck verbally. I love you blossom, and I know that you're going to lead the girls in some killer, winning routines. Don't kill our Harvard dream and make sure to take those Easterners down," I told her as I stood in front of her.

As fate would have it, her rival is Bryan's girlfriend.

"You took down the beast. I shall have fun taking down his troll," she said confidently.

"That's my girl," I said before I grabbed her face and kissing her.

She left soon after that, grabbing her breakfast to go. I headed over to my laptop and went over everything that needed my attention. I was in the middle of typing when my laptop froze before a black screen popped up. I thought it had died, until letters started appearing on the screen:

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ENGAGEMENT. IT WAS QUITE THE SPECTACLE TO WATCH.

I sat there, not knowing whether or not, or how I would respond for that matter. When nothing was happening, I decided to type back:

WHO ARE YOU, AND WHAT DO YOU WANT?

I waited for only a few seconds before the response came through.

I AM WHO YOU LIED ABOUT AND I WANT JUSTICE.

Before I could type anything else, my laptop screen went back to normal. My first thought was that I'd just received a message from Zero, and I clearly pissed them off. What kind of justice they were talking about, I wouldn't know, but it's a case of finding out.

I chose to not tell anyone about the message and instead carried on with my work. By the time I looked at the clock, it was time for me to get ready to leave. I got showered and dressed in my signature all black look before heading out. Last I checked, I was heading out with Nick since he drove me here.

I could always get my car to drive itself here, but I thought it useless; I'd rather wait until we got back.

"Someone looks like they had fun," I commented as a very tired Nick came walking towards me.

"I don't even know what I ended up doing last night," he said with a groan.

"What do you mean? Where did you go after you dropped blossom off here?" I asked.

"I don't know. I went to the party and had a couple of drinks, but that's as far as I can recall," he replied.

"Alright, hand me the keys," I told him. He didn't even argue.

We stopped by a café and I got him the strongest coffee and some greasy food. He needed to be sober before we got to the arena, or else blossom would kill him and he'd die a miserable drunk. By the time I parked the car, he looked much better.

"Are you feeling better?" I asked.

He nodded. "Much. Thanks."

"Anytime bro! Let's go," I said.

We left the car and headed inside the arena. The competing teams were nowhere in sight, so I guessed they were backstage. We headed to the stands and were about to sit down when Coach Marina called us down. We headed down to her.

"Noelle and the girls wanted Nick to be front and centre for this performance, and I figured you'd want to be just as close to your fiancée. Congratulations by the way," she said to us.

"Thanks," I replied.

"Why do they want me here?" Nick asked.

She shrugged. "Beats me. Excuse me."

"Six!" Jayme said as he walked towards me.

"What's up?" I asked.

"I have to fly back to HQ for something in my lab, but I'll be back for your graduation. Please tell Elle that I'm sorry I missed her performance, but I'll make it up to her," he told me.

"Sure thing. Send me a report on Nadia once you're there will you? I know you won't lie to me about how she really is," I replied.

He chuckled. "Will do!"

"Are you leaving now?" Nick asked him.

The icy glare he received in return would put Antarctica to shame.

"What concern is it of yours?" Jayme asked him.

"I'm just asking," Nick said, sounding as confused as I was.

"Perhaps you shouldn't mind my business and instead mind that of your little boyfriend over there," Jayme said, pointing behind us. We both turned to find Shane sitting in the distance and he shot Nick a smile.

I turned back to find Jayme gone. "Uh Nick buddy, I think I know what you got up last night."

"I think I just figured it out too," he said with a groan.

"It's going to be alright buddy," I said, patting his back.

"Yeah, I highly doubt that," he replied as we sat down. He immediately put his head between his legs.

I decided to cheer him up. "Isn't it consoling that Jayme at least looked jealous?"

His head shot up. "He did, didn't he?"

"He sure did," I said with a nod.

The blaring music killed whatever he had to say next as the competition got underway. The first few performances were average, until the Easterners performed. Only then did I see true competition for our girls, and even then I knew that our girls were better.

I'd given blossom some medication to take with her, and by the time they performed, she looked like the leader I know her to be. I was completely blown away by their performance and how much it stood out.

The judges obviously agreed with me.

"Congratulations blossom," I said as I caught her. She giggled and kissed me all over my face as people celebrated all around us.

"I couldn't very well kill the Harvard dream. It is after all, on the way to being Mrs..." she trailed off. I knew she was fishing, so I finally gave in.

"Demetriou," I informed. My heart probably melted at the awed look in her eyes.

She likes my last name.

"Xander Demetriou; I love it, except it's your first name that I really want to know," she whined.

"Not a chance Mama Sparkles," I said before kissing her.
