Hollis POV

Zander got back his chain and he finally turned back to the form we are all use to. Other Erufus are now expressing themselves...now Koneko Tribe has to try.

Sigh....the ceremony of Independence is next week....

He glared at me thinking what I should do when I need to give some long speech, "Hollis" he said angrily.

"Heh" I smiled creepily.

"What happened?!" he trembled.

"I have to give a speech about Koneko Tribe's journey to independence....then I'm going to be in front of millions of people" I sighed.

"Oh....why? It's not like you are the Chief's son" he laughed.

"I am" I glared at him.

"What?! So why you don't look like some guy that could rip off my head?" he smiled nervously.

"I skipped training" I said folding my arms.

"Well....you are weak and pathetic Hollis, that's not a surprise" he sighed.

I looked at one of the quests on the notice board, "Why you don't want us to help your world? Erufus are having this quest for months and you don't want us to help" I said shaking my head.

"Because....some other team can deal with it" he laughed nervously.

"You don't want us to see your parents huh?" I smirked.

"Yep" he said not looking at me.

"Come on, they must be adorable" I chuckled.

"That's the point" he glared at me.

"You need to seriously stop denying yourself" I said angrily.

"You are denying yourself too!" he pointed at my hair.

"I have to wait until independence or I'll be hung remember" I said dragging his hair.

"Ouch ouch! Geez....why are so angry today?" he wined.

I looked at dad helping Mrs. Magi carry some books. Apparently next school year they will be hiring him for defense skills because the board said we keep depending on our elements.

He smiled waving at me and accidentally dropped the books.

"Sorry" he trembled looking at her.

"It's okay Mr. Yasei," she smiled nervously. She looked at his traditional jewelry around his neck and arms, "um....you are making it obvious you are from you know"

He quickly took them off and gave me.

"Dad" I sighed.

"Just put them away for me, Mrs. Magi is going to give me something called cat food if I help her" he smiled softly.

"Dad....you are making her not taking you seriously" I glared at him.

"I did not hear you son!" he ran back to her and pretended he didn't hear me.

"That's the Chief" Zander sighed.

"Yep" I slapped my forehead.

Next week....

I arrived at mom's home and put on some traditional clothes then she marked my forehead with ree paint. She laughed poking my nose with paint.

"Mom...." I wined.

"So did you prepare your speech?" she smiled softly.

"What speech.....oh shit!" I trembled.

"You always do this" she sighed.

"Mom.....the ceremony will start in 10 minutes!" I said freaking out.

Time skipped....

Dad smiled entering the room and saw me at on my bed trying to write a speech, "Uh.....don't pressure yourself so much, I don't write speeches.....I just make them up in my mind" he smiled nervously.

"I'm not like you, I'm a dumbass" I said burying my head in my legs.

"Come on.....stop doubting yourself" he said looking me worriedly.

"Why can't Katsuko's dad do it? He's better at this than me.....I can't handle these responsibilities" I sighed.

"You can, I have seen you do great things and you are a brave boy" he smirked.

"I can't"

"Well....you know I don't take no for an answer" he sighed.

He tried to drag me out of my room but I held on my curtains.

"Hollis!" he glared at me.

"I'm not going" I wined.

"You still act like some 5 year old" he said folding his arms.

"I'm not going, I'm not going and I'm not going!" I screamed while my ears drooped.

"The people are waiting on you" he said stooped before me.

"I'm not going" I glared at him.

"Are you seriously 16 years old?" he said angrily.

I trembled at the tone if his voice.

"It's my fault you are like this...I wasn't there for most of your childhood," he spoke softly, "Hollis please come....I want to see you giving your speech" he smiled softly.

I looked at my speech I had so far then looked at him, "I will embarrass myself" I said clenching my fists.

"Hollis, I'll help you if you don't know what to do" he laughed

"Really?" I smiled.

"You really need to stop hanging around your mom, she's making you so soft" he said rubbing my hair.

"I'll do it" I laughed.

My cousin Orion entered my room and gave me some food, "The ceremony is gonna start" he smiled pushing me outside.

Orion POV

8 years ago....

I smirked showing Hollis and Mr. Kibi my skills in hunting and bravery.

"That's brilliant Orion....better than Hollis" Mr. Kibi smiled nervously.

Hollis smiled cheering me on, "You are so awesome cuz" he giggled.

And you are some worthless Prince!

I tried so many times to prove I could be a better Prince than him but because he's the Chief son he will become one even if I'm better than him.

"Hollis could you try your speech I told you to do" Mr. Kibi sighed.

Hollis trembled holding a paper in his hand, "My fe.....fellow people" he spoke softly.

I took the paper from him and read it perfectly. Hollis cried hugging my waist.

"I wish I could be like you....I can't be a Prince, I'm pathetic" he hiccupped.

"Hollis, you will be a great Prince" I lied.

"You are so nice!" he cried harder.

"Come on, I'm your awesome big cousin.....I will always be there for you," I chuckled. I smiled evilly knowing a way to get rid of him. "Hollis wanna hunt with me?" I smiled innocently.

"Yes!" he smiled jumping around me.

I took up some of Uncle Chad, his father weapons with Mr. Kibi knowing. I gave Hollis his father least favorite weapon the bow and arrow.

"I'm going to be like daddy" his eyes sparkled looking at it.

"Yea" I smirked holding his father favorite weapon the sword.

We ran in the woods and saw some wolves sleeping. Hollis hid behind me.

This will be so easy!

I just needed to trouble those wolves then hide to make them attack him.

"Orion, mommy said those wolves are dangerous" he spoke softly.

"We are the royal people here....we can handle it" I smiled softly.

"If you say so" he sighed.

While he got in position to shoot the wolves with the bow and arrow, water droplets surrounded us.

He can't be.....

When he released the arrow from the bow water surrounded the arrow but he missed creating a large ice beside them.

"I did....that?" he smiled.

"No, you can't..." I said clenching my fists.

I got frustrated and threw a rock at them. They growled at us and we ran away from them. He struggled catching up with me. He tripped over a log of wood.

"Orion!" he cried while his legs bled extremely.

I ignored him and ran fast as I could.

He's finally going to die then I can be the Prince!

His father, Uncle Chad saw what happened and ran past me and attacked the wolves then saved Hollis.

"Hollis....what were you thinking?" he wrapped Hollis legs with a cloth.

"Daddy.....I just wanted to be like you" Hollis hugged him.

"Son....it's okay, be yourself" Uncle Chad sighed. He looked at me staring at them, "Orion, you know Hollis isn't good at hunting and you carried him. He could of died"

Exactly what I wanted to happen!

I clenched my teeth and looked at Hollis angrily then I pretended to cry hugging him, "I'm sorry Hollis, I just wanted to help you"

"It's okay, you are my big cousin I always look up to" he smiled softly.

He showed his father his new abilities in water.

"Son, that's great! We need to send you to Yōso Academy" Uncle Chad smiled lifting him in the sky.

"Look!" Hollis said controlling some water in front of me.

Great, he's a Water wizard!

Back to present day....

I sighed looking at Everon setting up a powerful magical gun like machine.

"You sure this will kill him?" I said folding my arms.

"Yep, then you get to be Chief in the future" he chuckled.

"That's perfect" I smirked.

"When he is going his speech he will go kaboom!" he laughed.

"Just a present from his favorite cousin" I chuckled.
