Ren POV

Aoi and Ruby smiled nervously looking at Mia and I not talking while we were in the cafeteria. I ate my food slowly and tried not to look at her. She looked very depressed and emotionless.

Rain slammed my notebook in my head and looked scary glaring at me. "What is this shit?" she asked angrily.

"My hard work Thunderstorm" I said rolling my eyes.

She sat beside me and opened it with my assignment.

5 marks..ha! I didn't get zero marks...

"Ren, I know you have great potential in Spiritual Education since you were younger. Now tell me what the fuck happened?" she demanded slamming her hands against the table.

"I guess people change" I sighed slurping my drink.

Aoi gulped as his mother glare at him. "Care to tell me what happened son?" she chuckled looking at the fear on his face.

"Well....mom...mommy, I-I love you" he trembled.

"I know that sweety. Now-"

"Ren told the spirits to leave him alone" he said quickly then covered his mouth.

I'm seriously going to hurt him in the face when his mother leaves. I glared at him avoiding to look at me and hid behind Ruby.

"Why would you do that Ren?!" Rain asked looking at me worriedly.

"Because I don't want to be seen as a weird person again especially Rika keeps taking my body" I said angrily. I got up from my seat and left them with my unfinished food.

"You're always a freak" I heard a voice say.

"You can say that again" I sighed.

"But nothing is wrong with being a freak....."

I looked around to see who it was but I saw nothing then continued my way to my room.

Catherine POV

I sighed placing my feet on Mrs. Stevenson's desk and popped my gum several times to annoy her.

"Catherine...you're all grown" she smiled nervously looking at me raising my eyebrow.

"Yeah, could you tell someone to fetch me a bottle of water? Geez....this room isn't cool enough. Is your air conditioner broken?" I said rolling my eyes.

"It was like yesterday you came here as a sweet 7 year old" she smiled softly as her right eye twitched.

"I'm not a kid anymore. I'm 20 years old now....dad keeps not realizing that. He tells me I can't go to bars and hit on men but I did anyway," I smirked looking at the disappointment on her face. "without him knowing" I snickered.

She carefully placed my feet on the floor and folded her arms. "I need your help with a student" she sighed looking at the boredom displayed on my face.

"Ugh....what is it?"

"Ren Guinevere.....Kairi's brother has stopped talking to the spirits and I want you to train him to do it again. You are an A+ student" she said boldly.

"No thanks. Don't do that anymore" I said getting out of my seat.

Why does everyone expect me to act like my 7 year old self? I'm an adult now...and nobody can see that.

She firmly grabbed my hand and asked me again to help her.

"Fine. But I won't be easy on him" I said sounding annoyed.

"Thanks" she chuckled.

I saw Ren in the school pool in his Māmedia form and played with Aquamarine the school mascot.

"She's beautiful huh?" I smiled looking at him.

He froze staring at me then quickly stopped what he was doing. "What brings you here....Catherine?" he smiled nervously.

"I'm here to bloody train you because of your stupidity" I sighed playing in the water with my right arm.

He swam to me and glared at me. "No way you are training me" he said angrily.

"Well lucky for you fucking fish boy I'm in one of my best moods today" I said clenching my teeth.

"You seriously act like your dad" he chuckled patting my head.

"I'm not like him. I'm Catherine Lawrence....big difference" I said folding my arms.

"Pfft.....you have anger iss-"

I grabbed his hair and looked at him angrily. "Don't compare me to my father again or I'll kill you and make a nice supper out of your tail"

"Yes mam" he gulped.

I chuckled knowing that he is taking me as an adult he shouldn't mess with.

"Come with me. I want to show you something....but when you transform, put on some clothes" I smirked folding my arms.

"Yeah" he replied.

Time skipped...

I opened a portal to my apartment in Engura then we walked through it and reached there.

"Wow....you live here?!" he asked with sparkling eyes.

"Yeah, I hate living with my parents so I got my own home with my money I earn from modeling" I smiled fixing the cushions.

"I like this place, nice view....everything" he laughed with excitement in his eyes.

I carried him to a vase of a very dark spirit I caught when I was 12. He admired the patterns the spirit formed on the vase and almost dropped it. I glared at him pretending he did nothing and he backed away from it.

The worse thing that could ever happen is-

"Mommy!" my son Simon ran to me and hugged my leg.

"Mommy?" Ren became confused staring at us.

I calmed down Simon then handed him his teddy bear and his little blanket.

"I saw a ghost mommy" he smiled showing me a picture he took with his tablet.

"Thanks nice Si-"

Ren giggled looking at me and I sighed explaining to him how I got Simon.

When I was 16 years old, I went to a bar to take away my problems with alcohol. A guy who was the same age as my dad carried me to his house and literally fucked me. I got pregnant but casted an illusion spell so dad, mom and others wouldn't know. They still do.

"Jayson is gonna freak!" he trembled staring at Simon.

Simon smiled having the same features like dad but....some features from the unknown father. He waved at Ren then ran back to his room.

"I can't let him know especially he's getting me engaged to some company's son" I said rolling my eyes.

"You...like the guy?" he asked in a shaky tone.

I blushed hesitating to answer him then gave him a picture of the man I'm going to marry.

"A classy guy" he said rubbing his chin.

"Well he says I'm....hot so. But he goes to night clubs with girls surrounding him and stuff" I mumbled blushing even harder.

"Are you jealous?" he smirked.

"N-No, I'm just marrying him for dad's company" I blushed extremely glaring at him.

"As you say teach" he chuckled.

"It's Mrs. Lawrence not teach" I said clenching my fists.

"You can get angry easily. Poor Simon has to deal with a mother with anger is-"

I punched him in the face and grabbed his collar. "You don't want to mess with me kid"

"Shit....that hurt" he wined.

I looked at the night sky and sent him back to Yōso Academy. I saw 99+ messages from dad and did not reply.

I don't need him anymore....

I laughed tickling Simon in his room and kissed his forehead. "I don't want to lose you my child" I spoke softly.

He smiled showing me a picture he drew of me and him. "I want to see your parents mommy and-"

"That's enough Simon. I told you that you can't see your grandparents and that's final" I said boldly.

"Okay mommy" he whispered then kissed my hand.

"You have me and that's all you need" I smiled rubbing his hair.
