Ren POV

"Ren, wake up" I heard Hana's voice.

I found myself in Hollis' guest room bed. Hana and Hollis were looking at me worriedly.

"Take some of this medicine. You look terrible" he smiled nervously, holding a bowl of liquid medicine to me glaring at him.

"I'm not taking anything from you, old man" I scoffed.

"Please, I called your parents. They will be coming here soon and Kairi" he sighed.

I slowly took it from him then drank it. It tasted horrible and felt weird going down my throat.

"My mom's recipe" he laughed nervously.

"Shit...I think my stomach died" I groaned.

I noticed Aquamarine asleep beside me. She had tears on her eyelashes. Hana rubbed Aqua's hair to back. "She saved me from Jared but she hasn't stopped crying"

"She killed him" Hollis said, not looking at anyone.

Oh....

I patted Aquamarine's hair. "It's not your fault your father turned evil...and stuff" I said slowly.

She woke up, crying. "Mommy, I'm sorry" she cried harder.

"Shh...calm down" Hana hugged her.

"I'm so scared" Aquamarine sobbed.

Evan came in the room, with a tray of cookies. "Bad timing?" he giggled.

She ran to him and stuffed her mouth with the cookies. He blushed, watching her smiling at her as she chewed them.

"I see you like playing with the children around here on earth" Hollis smiled at him.

"I like fetching!" Evan smiled proudly.

"Ugh! Dogs" Aquamarine rolled her eyes.

I smirked, pointing at Hollis. "You almost cursed"

Hana and Aquamarine laughed. "Really?"

He blushed extremely, glaring at me. "What's the big deal about it?"

"You don't" I chuckled.

"I can curse. Fuck....you" he puffed up his cheeks.

We were rolling on the floor and laughing really hard at him.

"You sounded so weird!" Aquamarine coughed from laughing.

"Stop teasing me!" he wined.

I sighed, looking at my parents and Kairi glaring at me in Hollis' living room.

"You almost died" Peter said boldly.

"And?" I raised my eyebrow.

Kairi folded his arms and shook his head. "You should be-

I jumped on him and started fighting him. He fought back then punched me in the face. Nelson parted us and looked at us angrily. "What the fuck is wrong with you guys?!"

Kairi and I didn't look at each other.

"You guys are biological brothers. You are...the only real family you got" Peter said then disappointment showed on his face.

Kairi and I looked at him worriedly. "You guys are our real family too" we said together.

"Come on, you guys know you are adopted" Nelson smiled nervously then frowned.

"That doesn't mean you guys aren't our dads" I smiled softly.

Kairi and I hugged them awkwardly. "We...love you guys. You are our real family"

Peter smiled creepily. "If you boys stop fighting" he said in a deep voice that made us tremble.

We turned our eyes at the open door and broke the hug quickly. I looked up at Asami holding a teddy bear and flowers.

"Ren, you are okay" she smiled with tears formed in her eyes.

I looked at the bandages around her arms and legs. "You are hurt too, Little mouse" I chuckled.

"I...was worried about you" she said shyly.

My parents and Kairi left me alone with her. She gave me the teddy bear with her eyes closed tightly. I took it from her and smiled. "Thanks"

"It's..nothing really!" she smiled nervously then swung her arms.

There was a silence between us. She was acting weird than usual and her cheeks looked red.

"Congrats, Great Fire wizard" I sighed.

"Thank you. I'm sorry...you couldn't become one" she said, looking at Hollis' family pictures. She ran to the one of me in a sailor outfit, laughing. "You look so freaking cute!"

I took it from her. "It's embarrassing" I said in shaky tone.

"Awe!" She moved over to the other pictures of me.

"Get away from those!" I wined.

Mia entered the house then there was a strange silence as she looked at Asami.

"Hi...Ren" she said slowly.

I wrapped my arms around her. "Mia! I'm sorry. I won't go on quests without you" I said, kissing her on the cheeks many times.

"Ren, it's okay" she laughed.

"I hurt you" I sighed.

She kissed me in the lips and cupped my face with her hands. "I know you were just being the rebellious and stubborn Ren" she chuckled.

Asami coughed, stopping us from kissing again. "It's just...a bit awkward for me since I'm single" she smiled nervously.

"That's okay" Mia shrugged.

I love how Hollis' house is near the beach. It brings back memories as I sat beside Kairi on the soft sand, watching the sunset.

"I'm hungry" I groaned.

"You are always hungry, little brother" he laughed.

"Don't laugh at me" I said angrily.

He ruffled my hair. "You are a lot different from the first time I saw you at the aquarium" he sighed.

"I'm not 3 years old anymore"

"I know, but I still love you" he smiled softly.

"Ew!"

"I'm your brother" he smiled with his eye twitching.

I felt the waves touching my feet. We heard a cracking sound then looked at my chain with the magical gem that makes me have legs.

"Shit!" I screamed.

The gem had a lot of cracks and it looked like it was ready to be broken.

Kairi grabbed my hand and ran with me in the direction of Hollis' house. "Hurry, let's go to Ho-"

The gem broke then I fell when my tail transformed. I felt gills on my skin and my ears turned into fins. I was trying to get air bit nothing worked. He carried me to the water and threw me in.

"The broken gem made your Māmedia form mutated" he smiled nervously.

I tried to speak but only dolphin sounds came out. I looked at my pale blue skin. He jumped in the water and transformed.

"Follow me, I know a doctor around here" he said, swimming deeper into the sea.

He held my hand with reminded me when I was younger, always following him around like a puppy.

We went inside an abounded sink ship. We entered one of the rooms with a doctor smiling at us.

"Long time I have seen this little boy" she chuckled at me.

Huh?

"He delivered you and me from mom. She moved to earth for a better future for her daughter" Kairi smiled proudly.

She squeezed my cheeks. "You are still adorable and chubby" she giggled.

'Miss, stop that' I wanted to say.

Time skipped....

She observed my body and kept treating me like a baby. She gave me a seaweed lollipop. "For being a good boy" she smiled softly.

I glared at Kairi licking his own seaweed lollipop like he's some kid. She patted his head and praised him for behaving.

What does Miku see in him?

"Your mother would be proud of you two" she laughed. She looked at us worriedly. "When....Kairi was missing, she was afraid of having another child, but her husband told her will be hope in finding you and the baby will see his big brother" she sighed.

She gave me two tablets and a cup of water. "This will make you better but...I can also give you one of my gems I use for my legs" she smiled softly.

She went into another room then came back with a pink magical gem. I glared at it looking too girly but she ignoring me.

I took the tablets and my skin turned back normal and I got back my voice. Kairi and I waved goodbye to her after I took the gem from her.

We swam up to the surface but a shark was following us. I screamed, hiding behind Kairi and trembled.

"Sharks are nice to us" he chuckled.

"No, they are evil" I hiccupped, trying not to cry.

The shark came closer to us then rubbed it's head under Kairi's arm. "He's adorable!" he awed.

"Evil....." I hissed.

It looked up at me then did a weird toothy smile. I swam closer to it and patted it's head.

"That's it, he won't hurt you" Kairi smiled softly.

I swam back to him and hid behind him. "I just want to go away now" I groaned.

"You must overcome your fe-"

He screamed, staring at a jellyfish. "Let's go!" he grabbed my hand then swam off at amazing speed.

We reached the surface then we transformed on land. He helped me to walk on my new legs. I fell and tried to get up. He gave me his hand and I grabbed it then stood up on my feet again.

"We never give up. So that means you can be far greater than a Great Water wizard if you believe" he smirked.

Tears ran down my cheeks as he hugged me tightly. "I can't....-"

"You can" he said, punching my shoulder.

"I'll do my best" I laughed.
