Ren POV

I luckily got out of the school with the others to the great wizard quest. I feel proud that I know I'll might become a one after doing this quest. We were traveling in a bus to a near by village that reported some weird monsters attacking the homes.

I sat beside Asami Iro, a fire wizard who joined us. She didn't seem to be a rebel but was very excited then doubtful then excited again.

"Little mouse, what's with you?" I sighed, reading a manga.

"Don't call me a little mouse" she pouted, puffing up her cheeks.

"Whatever. It's not my fault you are short" I chuckled.

"Meany" she glared at me.

I poked her eye and she screamed then the rest of the rebel team stared at me.

"It's amazing you are a Māmedia. They are very nice and cute" she wined.

Mizuri, a metal wizard did a devilish smile and placed his foot on one of the seats.

"That's why exactly he's good enough for the team" he laughed richly.

I like this guy!

I smirked at Asami, she just ignored me and looked through the bus window.

The bus stopped at the village. We dragged our suitcases to a hotel and got our rooms. I was placed in the same room as Asami for the couple's room for discount. We glared at each other on our way to our room.

I opened the door then slammed it in her face.

"Hey!" she said angrily.

She opened it then controlled fire at my manga. It burned. The precious ashes flew from my hand.

"Bitch!" I said through my gritted teeth as I came closer to her.

"So-Sorry" she trembled.

I clenched my fists. "I'm sleeping in the couch and you sleep in the-"

We smiled weirdly at the roses on the floor and scented candles on the tables.

"I'm just...going to take a bath" I sighed.

She stopped me with sparkling eyes. "Your tail is going to appear?!"

"Yea-"

"I shall come with you. I'll get the comb" she ran to her suitcases.

A comb?

Time skipped...

I sat in the bathtub with water. My legs turned into a blue fish tail...which made her scream, hugging herself.

Not too long I noticed she saw me naked but she was too excited to see the tail. I let it pass. I'm too attractive.

She took out a comb from her jean pants back pocket. She sat at the edge of them bathtub then freaking started combing my hair.

"Um..."

"Shh...." she giggled.

An awkward silence while she combed my hair. Then she spoke again. "You know, your hair in very soft...well that's expected for a Māmedia. Do...you sing?" she said, blushing a little.

"Yeah. I hate singing, Little mouse. It's weird for me" I said, rolling my eyes.

"I see," she said softly then paused. "I always went to the beaches with my mom to see the Māmedias. They are so cute and shy. My mom...is a single mom but Mr. Shell helps her, he's a Māmedia. He likes her but she keeps rejecting him for my benefit. She doesn't want another man to come into her life to hurt her"

"That guy life sucks. I wouldn't want to be him" I laughed.

"It's not funny, Guinevere. He asks me for advice since he's not use to Ningena stuff" she glared at me. "He's actually cute trying new things. Last summer I had to help him ride a bicycle with training wheels....it didn't turn out right. He crashed into a light post" she smiled nervously.

"Legs are hard to control" I glared at her laughing.

"You are cute like him but with a bad attitude...like the others on this team" she sighed.

I combed my hair with my fingers after she stopped combing. "Why did you join?" I asked.

"I don't know. I guess...I wanted to do something bad for once. To feel free" she said, smiling to herself.

"Go put a banana peel in a recycle bin. It makes me feel really bad" I smiled proudly.

"Shut up, Guinevere" she laughed silently.

I changed into my Ningena form and into my pajamas then got comfortable in the couch. One problem, I'm too tall. I covered myself with a blanket. Asami slept on the side of the bed close to me. I'm not sure why she's being nice to me but it feels nice to have a friend here.

"Hey, Guinevere" she whispered.

"Yeah?"

"You look uncomfortable"

"Oh really, I didn't realize!" I said sarcastically.

She gulped. "Wanna sleep with me...in the bed?"

"Nah. This body is reserved for Mia" I smiled proudly.

"I'm not going to do anything sexually to you. I'm just....being concerned for a friend" she said, hugging a pillow tightly.

I crawled into the bed and laid down beside her. She turned her back it me and seemed to be trembling.

"Good night, Little mouse" I yarned.

"Go-Good ni-night"

"What happened?" I asked in a concerned tone.

"Nothing! Good night dude....sorry I mean Guinevere" she laughed nervously.

"Weird much" I mumbled.

In the morning, Mizuri, Asami and I went around the village to find about the monsters.  The other team members went to the other areas to protect the homes. We heard a loud crash and people screaming.

We ran to the scene to find a gigantic Rock monster and a Lightning monster attacking innocent people.

Mizuri went in with any hesitation. Asami and I looked at each other then got ready to fight.

"We are so dead" she muttered.
