Chapter Seven: Valuable Finding

Another week of school has passed, Iri walked me to the bus stop before heading home. Once arriving at the bus stop, I took out my phone and saw a text from my grandmother.

It read:

Hello Yunna, I hope you're doing well in school. I know you're feeling a little lonely but next time I'll take you with me. I bought many souvenirs from Japan since I thought you would like them. I'll be sending them in a package as soon as I can! It's only been a week, but I hope you're doing well! Did you win as class, president? Today was the announcement, wasn't it? Let me know as soon as possible!

As soon as I saw the text from my grandma, I responded as soon as possible!

Hi Grandma! Today was exciting! I won class president! I'll do my best to make you proud! Also, thanks for buying me souvenirs! I'll appriciae them and put them around our mansion! Again, I really appreciate your gifts and hope to see you soon! And make sure you stay safe.

The bus arrived right after I finished texting my response to grandma. I stepped inside the bus, paid, and took a seat at the back row as usual. I took out my phone and listened to music since there weren't any interesting apps downloaded on my phone.

Once I got home, I finished my weekend homework, as usual, and faced time Iri for an hour. We pretty much talked about what I should do as class president. I decided to write chapters on my book. I finished, but I didn't have anything else to do.

I was starting to get hungry so I made a quick snack, and even eating couldn't cure my boredom which it usually did. I went back to my bedroom and looked for something to do there. I laid on my bed and thought of things I like to do whenever I'm bored.

I haven't decided on what to do but I somehow have the urge to look through my old pictures, and so I did. I went to my closet and opened the bottom drawer which had all my valuable things inside. I saw a small blue box which looked very familiar to me. I took the box, sat on my bed, and opened it.

Once the box was opened, I saw a small picture inside, I looked closely through the picture and finally realized that the little girl in the swing was me and the little boy next to me was my childhood friend who isn't a part of my life anymore. Even though I hated him for leaving me, I still had to admit that I missed him very much.
