Part Six: Starting The Search

It has been four days since the storm blew through Royal Woods and the Louds were finally able to leave their house. They wanted to get out sooner, but...the ice and mountains of snow would make their journey to find their brother more difficult then going out in that storm.

"Alright. We should be able to find him now that the storm has passed." Rita said.

"I hope that he hasn't been kidnapped by anyone or worse." Lucy uttered to herself as the others started to get excited. She couldn't say that in front of her family since it would cause her mother to break down. Not to mention, the last thing that the family needed was another fight against one another.

"Let's go already. The sooner we find Lincoln, we can finally apologize for driving him away." Lori said.

"Eat first then we can go." Lynn Sr. Said as the girls tried to keep eating their food. They had to find him. No, they need to find them. They needed to apologize. However, they couldn't search for him on an empty stomach.

"What do we say if one of Lincoln's friends as questions about where he is?" Lisa said which stunned everyone in the dining room. They were so focused on how to find him that they forgot about his friends who would surely start asking questions. Speaking of which....

KNOCK!

KNOCK!

Someone knocked at the door and when Lori looked out the peephole, she turned pale. Pale because this was the person who was closest to Lincoln besides Clyde...

Ronnie Anne.

At the same time, Ichiro (Lincoln)  started to eat some breakfast alone because Ami had something important to do. He also didn't have many friends in the spirit world or more specifically he had no friends at all. He did have mortal friends, but he wasn't sure how to visit them without Ami's permission.

"Hm, I wonder how they're doing..." he asked himself. As Ami arrived at her destination, inside were the spirits of Teke Teke, Hachishakusama, Futakuchi-Onna, Kiyohime, and Kuchisake-Onna. Each were apart of the urban legends and were activity killing anyone who has the misfortune of crossing paths with each of them.

"POPOPO! Hello, Ami! I'he heard that you found someone." Hachishakusama said.

"Do I really want to know how you know that?" Ami said.

"Not really. Though I'm guessing that he's the reason why you called this meeting?" Hachishakusama said.

"Seriously? We're going to talk about a mortal?" Kuchisake-Onna said.

"He's not just some ordinary mortal to make Ami's heart melt. Besides he could give us some more insight into the modern world. I for one want to know more in order to get more victims." Teke Teke said.

"More victims?" Ami asked.

"Yes, thanks to that story...lots of mortals are staying away from the train tracks that I haunt. It's rare to see four or five a month so I need to expand my hunting grounds. Besides, I'm sure that I'm not the only one who is suffering from this besides Kuchisake-Onna who has blended into the public thanks to that mask she's always wearing." Teke Teke said.

"Who knew that a pandemic would hit? However that's besides the point...we need to talk to the mortal and gather some information. If we play our cards right then maybe..." Kuchisake-Onna said before Ami interrupted.

"You're not planning to hurt him are you?" Ami said.

"He's an exception to our kills. I really don't want to deal with an angry Yuki-Onna again. Besides, something tells me that you wanted to talk about forming some kind of protection for him." Hachishakusama said.

"I fear that his family would try to find him and take him away from me. So, I would need your help to keep them away." Ami said.

"I see then we'll do it. However, you let us meet him and decide for ourselves if he deserves it." Kiyohime said. Ami agreed and set up a meeting time for them. Meanwhile...

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT HE RAN AWAY?

Hope you enjoyed the chapter...Bye 👋
