Emiliana's point of view.
The motel I stayed in was old, the gut wrenching stench made me gag but I had to stay there. I had no where else to go, it was the only motel I could afford until I figured something else out. I had gone back to my part time job as a waitress in a rather fancy restaurant, the loaded individuals usually tipped me and I surely didn't complain. Thankfully I had a job to return to which made this whole process a lot easier.
Looking back I was disappointed at Haris' actions, I believed he would at least trust me and even stand up for me - but I was wrong. He put his trust in Anessa who is a full-time liar, literally since she has twenty-four hours a day to think of ways to destroy human lives. I couldn't focus on Haris anymore, I would most likely never see him again therefore it was a waste of time. Subconsciously, I was hoping to see him, he made me feel alive even though I hate to admit it. He is the devil himself but there is something addictive about him. His authority, body posture, his eyes and his touch were doing wonders to me, or at least to my imagination.
Once again I found myself in the position of working an extra shift, I couldn't say no when they begged me to step in and help them out. I was not in the mood to be honest since I was lacking sleep and my thoughts were running wild. I did my best to focus on schoolwork but my mind always seemed to drift away to him, the devil himself. We didn't share much, we shared a hug and dreadful words.
As I was about to begin my shift I took a last glance in the mirror. My hair was neatly placed in a ponytail, the white blouse hugged my upper body beautifully. I plastered a smile onto my face as I entered the podium. I saw my manager Steve approach me which was rather strange since he was usually the quiet person who delegated every task to other employees.
"Thank God you're here. I need you to take over the table over there" he said as he carefully pointed to a table in the very middle. "We had an incident because of some shenanigans, please be nice to them, they're loaded as fuck" he quickly explained.
"No worries, sir" I replied and before I even knew it I made my way to the table. My main focus was to make a good impression in order to receive a good tip, after their dinner. I was too caught up to notice the people who actually sat around the table. I pulled out a tiny piece of paper and my pen, I was about to introduce myself to the guests when a dark voice interrupted me.
"Emiliana?" my heart skipped a beat and my mind was racing, I slowly lifted my gaze to meet his dark and lifesaving eyes.
"Haris" I breathed out as an idiot. My eyes traced every piece of his face, I hated to admit that I missed his annoyingly beautiful fucking face.
"Oh my fucking God, from a bitch to another" Anessa's high pitched voice forced me to break the stare.
"Good evening" I respectfully greeted the members of the family. I heard how Dino was lecturing Anessa about her reckless behaviour which pleased my inner bitch.
"Good evening, Emiliana. We miss you" Leila kindly said as she stood up in order to give me a warm hug.
"Speak for yourself" Anessa cockily said. Dino gave her a dreadful look as he harshly squeezed her hand.
"I see you miss my cooking" I joked as I wrote down their orders.
"In fact, we do. Otherwise we wouldn't be here" Haris replied honestly as his eyes were focused on me, again. "I mean, we wouldn't be having dinner in town" he corrected himself.
For a moment I felt a tingling sensation in my belly, the way he spoke about missing me in their household released thousands of butterflies. Perhaps, I did have an impact on his everyday life. I couldn't hide the genuine smile which crept to my face, it meant something to me.
"Will you ever take our orders, I'm starving" Anessa whined and I did as told.
"I would like to order a talk with you, outside in three minutes" Haris surprisingly burst out, it didn't seem planned at all. His brothers were laughing at his random little outburst but his facial expression was rather serious.
"Alright sir, I'll see you outside in three minutes" I quickly replied and made my way to the restaurant's kitchen inform them about the orders. I asked a colleague to keep an eye on their table as I went out to have a talk with Haris.
As I approached the entrance of the restaurant I was hit by the chilly air, it made my body shiver and I almost immediately changed my mind about having a conversation outside. He had his back turned against me, it showed off his muscular back perfectly even though he was wearing a suit - as usual.
"Hi" I simply said, he stood still for a moment until he finally turned around. His face was stiff and his body tensed a bit at my awkward presence.
"You have to come back to the mansion" he simply stated.
"I can't" I shot back
"You can and you will" he ordered, as if he had the authority to decide that.
"Haris, you heard me" by this time I was freezing, it was bloody cold.
"What can I do to change your mind?" he sincerely asked as he took a step towards me, we weren't standing far away from each other, we were rather close. I could feel his heat radiating which soothed my shivering body.
"Look Haris, I don't belong with you guys. You are rich, I wouldn't say I'm poor but I belong to the working class. I can't cook, Anessa hates me and so does your brother, even you do at times. You don't trust me because I'm nothing but a maid to you" I explained, he was carefully listening to each word I was saying as his eyes were attached to my lips.
"Quit ranting and come back. I promise to stand up for you if Anessa tries with her bullshit again" he dryly responded
"I have to think about it" I tried but I knew he had set his mind on making me come back to the mansion.
"There's nothing to think about, now go and change. I will send Zoran and the guys to fetch your belongings. Now, go - don't make me repeat myself" he ordered and I heavily sighed.
"But Haris"
"Quit it, you're coming with us" he angrily spoke as I shook my head and entered the warm restaurant. I felt his large hand grab me by my arm in order to prevent me from walking away from him.
"You and I can go and pick up your belongings, fine?" he harshly asked, his eyes were letting me know that he was more than serious.
"Fine, fine! You're so goddamn annoying" I blurted out.
"Learning from the best" he muttered as he let go of my arm, striding past me - leaving me behind as he always did. Emiliana, you fucking idiot.
