"Ladies and gentlemen. It's show time."

I watched my best friend, Dennis, do his performance. It was amazing and puts a smile in my face. However it wasn't enough to make the sadness indeed me vanish. It was still sparkling.

Everyone was laughing and having a good time and I felt I didn't belong to this place.

I walked back home. The memories of a few nights ago haunting me.

I found out I was adopted. That my biological parents dropped at a random's housedoor, with a note saying 'You can have her'.

Soon dark curtain fell in the sky, a silver moon hanging in the scenario as a enchanting adorn. Million and million twinkling lights shimmered.

I heard a tap in the window, then the sound repeated twice. I recognized the intruder by the tap pattern.

With a frown in my face, I opened the window. "What are you doing here, Broadway?"

Dennis grinned at the nickname I called him. He replied.
"To give you my shoulder. Besides I have popcorns and your favourite movie."

"What's my favourite movie?" I asked.

"Here." Dennis said taking one DVD from his coat, another from his sleeve and other from his hat using magic tricks. "All of them. You can't choose which is your favourite but I know what movies you like the most."

I rolled my eyes at him but I couldn't avoid a ghost smile from creeping out. I stepped aside as I let the magician enter in my room.

Dennis always knew how to cheer me up. He didn't need to do magic tricks or a extravagant performance to entertain me. He only need to be there for me and let me use his shoulder to cry.

Throughout the night, it was what I did. I cried for laughing so hard, I cried because I was heartbroken and I cried because I wanted to cry. Simply as that.

"(Y/N)?" He called me.

"Yeah?"

"You tag." Dennis said before he sprinted and went downstairs.

"Oh, You are so on." I smirked and chased after him.

Good thing we were home alone or else my parents would put me grounded for making a big mess in the house, which I forced Dennis to help me clean up.
