This is inspired by a chapter in _-YuseiFudo-_ roleplay book!

Atem has decided to stay in the living world after the ceremonial duel. He just couldn't leave his friends behind, especially Yugi (or OC). Not just because they share a strong bond... but because the ancient pharaoh had fallen in love with his former vessel and best friend. But he was too insecure to tell him. Knowing that Yugi had a crush on Tea, he kept his love for his Aibou a secret.

But fate had different plans for him. Because of these feelings he develops a terrible and heartbreaking disease. It's so rare that people barely know it exists. When he first coughed up the petals he immediately knew that he would not stay in the living world much longer... because he was still not willing to tell Yugi how he felt. He's too scared to lose him, possibly forever.

Over time, it got worse and worse. But he managed to hide it from everyone, including Yugi. But for how much longer will he be able to hide it... or even live?
