Now now, this is not weird. Let me explain what was really happening.

You glared at Shun and half crying while Shun are your favorite cookies.

You broke down crying and saying how mean Shun was. 'Shun.......... Why?!?!?!?'

'No you don't!' You said and glared at Shun who continued to stuff his face chocolate chip cookies. Shun looked at you then the cookies. Finally, after you gave the puppy dog eyes, he gave you the cookies and you cheered. 'Ya! Thank you, Shun!'

Suddenly, the door of the kitchen slammed open and revealed a tired Yuto panting at the door, his arms held his, yours and Shun's duel disk. Panting, Yuto choked out 'Heartland........... Attack....... Academia,'

Shun's eyes widened and took his duel disk. '(Y/N)! Find yourself a safe place to stay! Me and Yuto have to go! I should have known that they will attack during this time!' Your eyes held fear, not only of worry of your homeland but also your boyfriend.

'No! Let me go with you, Shun!' You cried out as Shun adverted his eyes.

'I can't.......... Not after what happened to Ruri......... Just.... Stay here and I'll come back, ok?' Shun's half broken voice spoke and before you could reply, he ran out the door. Yuto gave you a pitiful look before saying, 'This is for the best but if you want, you could join us-'

'No...... I'm not a very good duelist. I would end up dead in a few seconds. Yuto, promise me that you will protect Shun!'

Yuto almost  jumped back at your suddenly brave voice. 'I-I will, just know that we have a base at the top of the hill. Go there if you want to meet Shun or mostly importantly now, be alive,' You nodded your head and Yuto took that as a sign that he could go.

When Yuto left, you almost fainted from what happened. It was such a weird but happy morning at first, why did it have to end like this?

You clutched the locket that you wore on your neck, the locket that Shun gave to use to remember you two, and said 'Come back safe............ Shun Kurosaki,'

'Shun, were you lying about coming back?' Your broken heart screamed out.

It had been such a long time, yet Shun has yet to be seen. Had he given up on coming back to you? Had he decided to join Academia and never come back?

You stared at the house that you and Shun made that was now in ruins. The neighbouring houses were at a state much worse but to you, the house that you two shared had been the one that had taken the most damage.

With your duel disk in hand, you hugged your knees while sitting on the stone covered floor. 'I-I shouldn't give up hope. He will come back. He will,' you stare at the dark cloud sky. 'He will, wouldn't he?'

'Of course he would, why wouldn't he want to come back to see his girlfriend that he loves so much?'

You turned around and your eyes instantly were filled with the light you had before. There, in the middle of the broken house, stood Shun giving one of his rare of the rarest smiles while his arms were wide open.

Tears filled your eyes and you ran into his arms. Shun smiled at you and gave you a kiss on the forehead. 'Who made you cry this time? Do I have to beat them up for you?'

You looked up at him and pouted. 'It was you. I thought that you forgot about me and only wanted to save Ruri,' Shun couldn't say he didn't want to find Ruri but he cared about you deeply so he just quietly embraced you in his arms.

Knowing Shun, you knew that he would go back to trying to defeat Academia in no time so his presence here was very important for you.

Shun suddenly picked you up bridal style and you blushed really hard. 'S-shun! What are uyou doing?!'

'Can't I just hold my girlfriend?'

You snuggled your head in his chest after giving a small nod while blushing. Shun smiled again. He was lucky to have girlfriend like you.
