A,N: Well here is the next chapter. As a little info, in Japan it is rather common, or so do I think, that you can challenge a dojo for it's sign in a battle, considered what dojo it is, and well the one winning claims the battle. So if you are confused, that is what happens here. In this part of the Gx series. Hope you will like it though. Please comment on what you think.

Normal p.o.v.

Smoke could be seen in the sky. A helicopter who had been carrying Chancellor Sheppard and a pilot, have had a crash landing on an tiny remote island on the way to duel academy. A weird boy had attacked them, and was now dueling Sheppard. He was having long black hair and black eyes. He was barefooted and wrapped up in old, brown and messy clothes. Sort of a karate uniform with a long red scarf at his neck.

"Duel academy! Duel academy! Please respond! What happened?" they could now hear in the communicator at the cockpit say. The pilot groaned and grabbed the device. They had crash landed rather well. None of them was badly injured, but it still hurt a little grabbing the communicator.

"On our way to the island, we were suddenly attacked" the pilot replied "And the chancellor has..".

A scream could be heard in the background now. The pilot looked out at the window of the destroyed helicopter. He could see Sheppard's "Cyber ogre two" getting destroyed by the boy's monster.

"Your skills are no big deal" the boy then said "The skills of the chancellor of duel academy. Or should I say, the former dojo master of the cyber style, Sheppard".

"You..! So you knew that I was the cyber style user from the beginning" Sheppard then said shocked "Who exactly are you?!".

"I am a top licensed android style user, Makoto Inotsume" he announced.

"Android style..? wait the style who was created at the same time as the cyber style" Sheppard uttered stunned. Makoto smirked.

"That's right! This is a battle between Android style and the Cyber style betting their sign" he then said. Sheppard sneered angry. He had just lost.

"But, after all, the Ex master is insufficient" Makoto then continued. "My true target is just one person. If I don't defeat that guy, I won't be able to seize true victory".

"It couldn't be.. your bastard!" Sheppard then yelled. Makoto grinned.

"I was told he was missing, but he is alive isn't he?" he then questioned with a smirk. "My next opponent is the true heir of the cyber style. The Kaiser reborn from hell, Zane Truesdale". Sheppard looked horrified. Then he collapsed in the sand.

Zane's p.o.v.

Zane was sitting in his wheelchair in the hospital's lobby. He was wrapped up in his white and purple hospital ropes, and was looking out in the horizon at the seagulls and the ocean. It was a beautiful day. In the background he could hear Miss Fortaine talk to someone about his condition.

"The doctor said that his heart will be fine. Just as long as he doesn't put extreme burden on it". Then he could hear footsteps behind him.

"Is that you Syrus?" Zane then questioned.

"Yes, big brother" he could hear Syrus say "How are you feeling?". Zane sighed a little inside. He had actually hoped it was someone else visiting him.

"I'm feeling much better" he then replied "Can we go for a walk today as well Syrus? It is fine wetter outside".

Syrus smiled happily at him and nodded. Zane knew he was happy that he was getting better. He took the handles on the wheelchair and soon they were outside. They were walking/driving down at a cliff path near the beach.

"Everyone's starting to think about their future paths now that graduation is near" Syrus began telling him "Oh yeah, and Alexis has decided to study abroad at a duel college at North America, and get this, she is finally together with Jaden. They are a couple now, even though I don't know who of them confessed. Just one day it happened. Alexis visits the twins in the red dorm once in a while now".

At that Zane tensed a little. Mentioning the twins made him instantly think of Tara. Rustling could he heard in the bushes. It was so faint Syrus didn't notice though. Zane did however. That sound had been around him a lot lately. Zane didn't do anything though.

"Is that so" he instead replied Syrus. They were both staring out at the ocean now.

"Times sure flies" Syrus then said "It seems like just a while ago you graduated. It reminds me of the graduation duel against you and Jaden".

Zane didn't reply him. The thoughts on that graduation duel ran through his head now. His epic duel with Jaden, and what had been on the line that day. Sometimes Zane wondered if it would have been for the best that they had broken up, after the match. Then Tara wouldn't have had to wait so long for him, and Aster.. Even though he would never admit it out loud, Aster could have taken far better care of Tara. Actually anyone could right now. He heard rustling sounds again. Zane sighed inside.

"A lot has happened to you and Jaden. A lot has changed" Syrus then said. To that Zane nodded. Syrus continued "But Jaden is still continuing to change. So is..".

"How about you?!" Zane then said a little loud. Not too loud that it surprised Syrus, but loud enough that his voice reached the closest trees. "Do you want to just continue watching over Jaden? Isn't it your turn to change now?". Syrus looked stunned at him. He was not sure what to say in that matter. At that Zane smirked.

"I am envious of you all now" he then said. The rustling sound could be heard again, and Zane smiled a little bit. He turned to Syrus.

"Let's get back" he then said "It is getting cold". Syrus looked a little puzzled at him, but soon nodded and took the wheelchair back towards the hospital. Zane had a quick stolen look towards the horizon. Even though he couldn't see her, he knew that a girl, with properly a very surprised beating heart, was hiding around there.

What Zane didn't know, was that he was completely correct on that. Tara was standing close at the forest, inside the trees shadows. She was trying to calm down her beating heart. She knew Zane had been directing those words to her. She looked at Zane and Syrus leaving before she disappeared towards the red dorm.

A short while later.

Syrus and Zane was almost at the hospital, when Miss Fortaine rushed over toward them. She was yelling something about an emergency. Syrus and Zane looked at each other. Fontaine was holding up an cellphone.

"Listen to this" she said and put it on loudspeaker.

"Zane! Zane are you there? It me Sheppard" he could hear the chancellor's voice now say. Zane replied with a 'yes'. The chancellor continued "An android style user is coming to the island aiming for the heir of the cyber style. You are in no condition to duel right now. You must escape from the island at once!".

At that Zane tensed. He didn't like not to duel. Actually he didn't like getting ordered around. It was already annoying for him to stay in the wheelchair and the hospital. To spare his heart. Not letting it get too much stress. It was not like he couldn't walk around on his own. Right now he felt like he needed to get up and prepare for that challenge. That Android duelist. He was after all not a coward. He could take him down.

"Don't tell me.." said Syrus suddenly in a scared tone. The chancellor was yelling in the other end of the phone, since Zane didn't reply him. At that Syrus walked over to the phone miss Fontaine was holding.

"Chancellor, this is Syrus. It's alright, just leave him to me" he reassured "I won't let my brother fight against a guy like that!".

"I am depending on you then Syrus" Sheppard then said "I am getting on a hospital by a new helicopter anyway, but I wanted to warn Zane first". Then he shut off the phone. Zane couldn't stop smiling a little.

"The chancellor sure is overreacting. So are you Syrus" he then said.

"Don't say that you're going to duel" Syrus said and looked horrified "You won't do something like that, will you?!".

"Zane don't act rashly! After all you're recovered so much" Fontaine added.

"I know" Zane then said "I don't intend to worry anyone. Especially since I know Tara wouldn't want me in any danger. Or so do I believe. That is why she is following me around". At that Syrus looked concerned at him.

"Big brother..".

Tara's p.o.v.

Time skip.

Tara placed herself close at the tree nearest the hospital. Or to be specific, Zane's room at the hospital. He was having a room at the ground floor, where there were view on some little terrace with a little fountain. Tara knew all this however. She had been here before. Actually a lot. So much in fact that she knew Zane's schedule. Tara would not admit that it could actually be considered stalking. She knew he would be at his room around now. Either sitting at the chair in front of the window or in his bed, dressed in that blue pajamas he was wearing at nighttime. Either he would be reading or looking through his deck. Tonight he was reading in a book.

"Why aren't you getting closer?" Haou then said and appeared in spirit form beside her now "So close in fact that you can talk to him". Tara shook wildly her head.

"You are not supposed to use our powers like this" Haou then added "This is not how you should use the gentle darkness". At that Tara snort and looked at the evil king.

"Oh like you should talk. King who uses his powers to kill the innocent" she then said firmly "At least I am only observing". Haou rolled his eyes.

"Point taken. However you will archive nothing, by hiding over here. Go over talk to him!" Haou then said firmly. Tara shook her head wildly again.

"No, I am not going over there. He will not like it, or accept me" she then said.

"Well true. How can he accept something, when he doesn't know about it" Haou replied with a cold smirk "Go over there! You love him. If he truly loves you, he will accept you for who you are. If he doesn't then it is not meant to be". Tara hummed.

"Oh and how do you know that, oh king who doesn't know what love is" she then said in an annoyed tone "Why should I take advice from you?".

"I recently discovered the benefits of love" Haou replied and shrugged "You freed me, by sharing your emotions with me. Therefore I want you be happy too".

"Well that is very thoughtful of you" Tara snort out "But I am not going over there".

"You are being stubborn now Tara" Haou pointed out "What can possibly go wrong by you talking to him?". Tara sneered inside. She could point out that her life would be literally over, If, when, Zane didn't accept her. That her heart would break in millions of pieces and never, ever, recover. It was best she was staying right here.

"I am not the only one who is concerned you know" Haou then said and turned around. "They are as well". Tara turned around to see Jaden and Yubel at a tree some meters away from her. Her brother waved his hand at her and began walking over here. Tara sent her a firm look.

"Jaden have you been following me?" she then asked. Her brother shrugged.

"Maybe" he then said "It is not like I didn't notice every time you sneak out of the dorm at night. Even though we have different rooms. We are connected".

"Well I don't need you to look out for me" she then said and turned towards Zane's room once again "I am doing just fine". Jaden hummed and looked at Zane's room.

"That might be true. You don't need me to protect you" he then said "But you still need me, in cases like this, when you don't admit to yourself that you are missing Zane". Tara sent him a cold glare.

"Oh and why do you think that?" she then replied. At that Jaden laughed.

"Oh please Tara, it is pretty easy to see" he then replied and grinned "You are stalling him for god's sake. You are literally watching him right now!". Tara didn't say anything in reply. Maybe because that was true.

"So I have decided on something" Jaden then continued and smirked "You put so much effort in making me and Alexis a couple, which I am grateful for. Therefore I think I will repay the favor".

Then without warning, he grabbed around Tara's shoulders and pushed her forward. Tara eyes widened in surprise and horror. She placed her heels at the ground now. Trying with all her might to stop him.

"Ahr Jaden, what.. what are you doing? Let me go!" she then yelled up in a creepy monotone voice "I don't want to go over to him.. He wouldn't understand!".

But whatever she did, Jaden just kept pushing her forward. Tara had a feeling Jaden was using some of Yubel's power here. And that didn't help that she couldn't access her own. Apparently Haou refused to help her in this case. Before she knew it, she was standing a little away from Zane's window. She was out of any shadow. Jaden finally let go of her, and tossed a little stone at Zane's window to get his attention.

"You will thank me later" Jaden then said with a cheesy grin and rushed as fast as he could away from there. Tara sneered angry.

"Jaden! You coward! You can't do this to me. Leave me here with.."

"Hello Tara, what are you doing?" said a voice then suddenly and Tara froze instantly.

She turned slowly around to see Zane standing there looking at her. She was not sure what to do or say. She wanted mostly to run far away, but for some stupid reason her feet's wouldn't move. Tara suspected Haou was meddling. So she said the only thing she could come up with for now.

"Um hi.." and felt like a complete idiot. Zane actually smiled a warm smile.

"Hi" he replied "I had a hunch you would come visit me sooner or later. Was that Jaden just now by the way?". Tara nodded. She was still shocked that her boyfriend was standing there in front of her. Zane nodded slowly.

"Well it was nice of him to drop you off" he then said "You don't know how much I have missed you. But please by all means Tara, come in. You must be freezing standing out there. I will make some tea". Tara nodded slightly.

Before she knew it she was inside, sitting in the chair who was in Zane's room. Zane had gone off somewhere. Something about going to a kitchen outside his room. Tara had in the meantime looked around. The room was small, not so small that Tara couldn't stay in it, but not as big as Zane's usual obelisk blue room, when he was student here. A bed, a closet injected in the wall was there, along with the two chairs and a little table. The wheel chair he was using, was planted up at the one wall out to the entrance. A very nice room, but for safety, Tara did open the window a small bit. Soon Zane walked in here carrying a tray with two cups of tea, and a bowl with fruits. He placed it on the table. Tara could smell the aroma from the tea. It was one of her favorite, which Zane apparently remembered. He placed himself in the other chair beside her. He was looking curiously at her. Tara quickly took some of the tea to prevent her from saying anything right away.

"Hmm you look different" Zane then began "But not too much either. The clothes and black strip in your hair. I like it. It suits you". Tara nodded slightly.

"Say something to him" she could hear Haou say in her head "Anything! Just something!". Tara placed the cup down and bit her lip.

"How are you?" she then said "I have been worried about you. How's your he..".

"How is my heart?" Zane interrupted and sighed "Do you know how many have asked me that? Well whatever. I am fine. The doctors says I will recover if I don't put too much stress on it". Zane took his tea cup and drank a little from it.

"Well that is good" Tara replied slowly.

There were an awkward silence between them now. Tara was not sure what to tell him. Actually she did, but she didn't know how to start. She wanted to explain everything that had happened to them. To her and Jaden. She just didn't know how to begin. Zane placed the tea cup down again.

"So what about you Tara?" he then said "I must admit I have been more worried about you. You disappearing in that other dimension. You were gone for a week, and when you finally come back, you didn't visit me or anything". Tara tensed a little. She knew that was true. She hadn't seen him for over a month now.

"Are you mad?" she then said in a low voice. Zane shook his head.

"No, I never were. I figured you needed time to yourself" he replied "Whatever happened in that dimension.. I am sure it was not Child's play. Actually I know. I was there, until Yubel killed me off". Tara nodded slowly. She did remember that. It had been very painful to her. Losing him like that.

"But what I don't understand Tara, is that you purposely avoids me" Zane then continued "And don't pretend you didn't. I know you were watching me from afar. Like you did that morning. Tara have I done anything wrong? Is there a reason for why you don't come near me?". Tara tensed a little. He believed he was the reason why she didn't visit him. How could he, when she was the reason..

"I done a lot of thinking lately" Zane then continued and looked up in the ceiling. "Not that you can do much here anyway, being in a hospital. But I have been wondering if you were punishing me for my past mistakes. For me leaving you alone on duel academy for 6 month. Or for being a sadistic jerk".

"No!" Tara uttered. Actually she was yelling, but her monotone state made it impossible to sound like that. Only Jaden knew if she were. "It is nothing like that. Believe me Zane. I have already forgiven you for that". Zane eyes narrowed.

"Then what is it? There must be a reason for you avoiding me" he then questioned.

"You got to tell him" Haou then said firmly in her head "He has the right to know". Tara nodded slightly and looked Zane firmly in the eye.

"I was worried about your opinion" she then said "Your opinion of me. Jaden and I have changed since the dark world dimension. We are no longer the twins we used to be".

"My opinion?" Zane uttered confused "Why does that matter? Just because you changed a little, doesn't mean I stopped loving you. I don't care how you are on the outside. As long as you are my beloved Tara on the inside".

At that Tara actually froze a little. Yes she had changed on the outside, but sadly on this inside. Was she even his beloved Tara on the inside. She could feel a blow on her back now. She could see Haou behind her now. He was encouraging her to continue.

"How much.. how much has Syrus told you about what happened in the other dimension?" she then questioned. She needed to start from somewhere.

"Nothing much. When we arrived back here, he was an emotional mess. We didn't get much out of him" Zane then replied "After you returned, Syrus did mention some stuff, but I told him only to tell me important stuff about you. I wanted to hear everything from your mouth.". At that Tara bit her lip a little. Of course he would.

"Okay" she then replied slowly "Well I have a lot of thing to tell you then.. it all begins with..".

Zane's p.o.v.

Zane was staring. He was really staring. He had not been prepared for this. He was not prepared for this. As Tara's story began with what had happened in the other dimension, he thought he were. After all they had seen a lot of different stuff, so he was sure nothing could surprise him. However these news really surprised him deeply. He couldn't actually believe it at first, and he was glad that he hadn't taken the tea cup just now. He was sure it would be scattered at the floor.

"You.. what?!" he then uttered. Tara sighed deeply.

"I fused with Haou, alias the supreme king, and are now his Wessel" she said plain out like this was the most normal thing to say. Zane got up from the chair.

"But that is.. that is.." Zane was completely speechless. Tara tilted her head a little.

"I am curious though. Syrus said you still would accept this" she then said "Accept me. Do you?". Zane was still staring. Then he sat down on the chair again with his elbows at the table, while holding his head in his hands.

"Accept it.. accept it!" Zane then sneered a little "This is a little hard to comprehend Tara. You are fused with an evil king for goodness sake. Oh I shall share my girlfriend with an evil king, who makes my girlfriend sound monotone and are the user of darkness. That's normal!". He sighed deeply. Tara looked at him.

"Share me with.. oh no, no, no, Haou isn't in love with me or anything" she then replied "He loves only Yubel. He says I am not his type anyway".

"That is at least something" Zane sneers "Oh yeah and Yubel is inside Jaden. That makes it totally better. Wait.. The king is in here right now?!". Zane lifted his head and looked around the room. Tara nodded slightly.

"He is in here. He wanted to see how you took the news" she replied slowly. "But you can't see him. You don't have the ability to see spirits after all".

"Oh just great. A dead king, who I can't see, lives inside my girlfriend" Zane sneered "So how long is he gonna stay there? Inside you that is?".

"Oh that is actually a good question" Tara then replied and looked beside her now "I never thought about this before. Wait a moment". She went silent for a little while. For Zane that is, it felt like it was killing him. He wanted answers now!

"Haou says.. well he doesn't know either" Tara then replied "If we are lucky, him and Yubel goes to rest after we fulfilled that prophecy, whenever that is. If not, then they sadly will stick around forever!". Zane turned even more pale. Forever! He should maybe live forever with an evil king inside Tara. Just great! Zane clenched his hands. Tara coughed a little.

"But well Jaden and I are used to have spirits around us" she then said "So I can live with the king around me too. It is not like he stays every time we want to be alone".

"Good to know" Zane then sneered out. He was not sure how to take all this. He hadn't seen his girlfriend in almost a month and then this happened. He really couldn't comprehend it right now. He sighed deeply.

"Tara, are you.. please leave for now" he then said and looked at her. "I need time to think. I hope you understand". Tara nodded slightly.

"I understand" she said in a low voice. "This was the reason I didn't want to tell you right away though. I was afraid of your reaction..". Zane nodded. He understood that. Tara got up from the chair and walked over to the door leading outside. At the door step however she stopped for a moment.

"I.. whatever you chooses Zane. I just want you to know, I still love you" she then said "I may sound monotone, but I still love you deep, deep down". Zane looked surprised up at her, but then nodded slightly. He hadn't thought about that.

"Haou also says., 'that if you truly love her, then you don't care about sharing her with him. After all you care about her happiness'" Tara then said in a really weird tone. Zane wondered if Haou was speaking through her now. Then she was leaving and left Zane alone with his thoughts.

Normal p.o.v.

Then a lot of things happened. After Tara had left, Makoto, the android user, has arrived on the island. Under cover of darkness, he snuck around and arrived soon at Zane's room. He tossed a pebble, and when Zane opened, he tossed in a note, with great skill. Then he disappeared quickly from the area. Zane who had been sitting in bed and been thinking got up to see who 'knocked' on the window this time, when the note came flying through it and hit the table. Zane quickly picked it up.

At midnight, at the beach. I will be waiting.

Zane's eyes narrowed until he remembered the Android duelist Sheppard mentioned. Apparently he was on the island. He had forgot all about that because of Tara's little visit. Zane were thoughtful for a minute. He had done a lot of thinking this evening. Especially on the last sentence Tara had said to him. That she loved him, and that if he loved her in return, he wouldn't care about what Tara had become. That Zane knew was true. He still loved her. It was the king he had problems with. He got quickly dressed. He would beat this duelist and prove to the king and himself that he was worthy of Tara. He was not a weak duelist. He would win regardless what. Soon he left. Minutes later, Syrus arrived at the place too. He was worried about his brother, because of that android duelist. He knocked on the door and quickly entered the room, only to find his big brother missing. He rushed out of the room..

Jaden's p.o.v.

Around the same time.

"You are sure he rejected you Tara?" Jaden then questioned and looked at his sister. They were both on a late evening stroll. He knew Tara needed it, after her little visit with Zane. They were walking down at the cliff side close at the beach, red dorm and the hospital. They were at that pathway. Tara nodded and looked down at the ground. Jaden sighed deeply. He knew if Tara got back to her room, being alone, she would properly break down. Even though she properly couldn't cry that much. For that reason he was trying to cheer her up a little.

"Ah I am sure it wasn't that bad" he tried reassuring her "You're properly exaggerating. Zane is not that kind of guy. He loves you". Tara made a sound that could resemble sniffing. She shook her head again.

"He.. he wanted me to leave, after I told him" she then replied. Jaden hummed.

"Properly to clear his head" he then said "He is a guy. He doesn't go emotionally in front of you.. and the king. Haou was it really so bad? Did he reject her?". He looked at the spirit king beside her. Haou shrugged a little.

"We'll see" he only replied. Jaden sent him a cold glare.

"What is that supposed to mean?" he then said in an annoyed tone.

"That means we'll see" Yubel replied in his head "The day is not over yet". A little light came from Tara's duel disk all of the sudden, and the spirit Jinzo actually appeared beside them. That stunned them a little. That spirit hadn't showed since.. yeah since Tara got fused with Haou actually.

"There is something in the air Girl" He then said, but froze a little from the glare Haou sent it. Jaden sighed. So that was the reason he didn't show much. He was afraid of the king, like all duel monsters were. Or almost. Yubel and Marshmallow was an exception. Jinzo looked from the king to Tara.

"Hmm fine. Lady Tara if that is better your majesty" he then said and snort "I ran away from that dimension to avoid working for you, and then in the end, I still end up working for you. How fair is that!". Haou just glared even more. Tara looked at him.

"Just ignore Haou Jinzo. What do you want to tell us?" she questioned.

"There is something in the air. I can't describe it, but it gives me a familiar feeling. I think something is approaching". He had just said that when sounds of rustling footsteps could be heard. Jaden and Tara quickly activated their duel disks.

"Who goes there?!" Jaden then yelled and looked at the shadow inside of the trees. It was a silhouette of a person. The person stopped up for a second and looked at them, but then soon disappeared off to somewhere.

"Who was that?" Jaden then questioned. Tara and Haou shrugged a little. Jinzo had disappeared into its card once again.

"Jay, Tara!" yelled a new voice and the twins noticed Syrus running towards them. "Have you seen my brother? He is missing". Tara and Jaden looked at each other.

"Zane? No that guy sure wasn't Zane" Jaden then replied.

"That guy? You two met someone?" Syrus then questioned.

"Yeah, a weird guy" Tara then said slowly "We never seen him before".

"That must be him!" Syrus then yelled. He sounded scared. "The dojo breaker who challenged Zane to a get the sign of the cyber style".

"Cyber style? What's that?" Jaden questioned puzzled.

"My brother is intending to duel that guy" Syrus then almost screamed "Even though he hasn't fully recovered yet! If he duels now..". The twins both looked at each other again. Their eyes was narrowed a little.

"Jay, Tara, please help me find my big brother. I need to stop him" he then pledged.

"But no matter how much you stop Zane" Jaden began and Tara continued "If Zane wants to duel, there's nothing we can do about it".

"Even so, nothing can replace my brother's life!" Syrus then yelled and looked at Tara "You of all people should understand. He is your boyfriend!".

"Alright!" Tara then suddenly said "Don't make such a stern face. We'll help you find him". They had just said that, when Haou snort in the background.

"I have found him!" he said and pointed in a direction. From a hilltop they could look down at the beach, and there they saw Zane, in his hell Kaiser outfit, staring down a guy with black hair and brown karate suit. They all began running towards the beach.

Zane's p.o.v.

Zane was standing on the beach and was staring down Makoto. He was ready to duel.

"First I must thank you for not running away and accepting my challenge, hell Kaiser" Makoto then commented. "No the heir of the cyber style, Zane Truesdale. But tonight shall be the last night for you to go by the Cyber style. The Android style was thrown in the darkness of the history as an improper style. But the time has come for that to change, and for the Android style to stand over the Cyber style".

Then he laughed like hell. Zane was cold, calm and collected like always though. He didn't have much to say anyway. He was here to duel. He was here to prove to himself, to the king and in some way to the deck, that he was worthy. Worthy of Tara's love as well as the title of cyber duelist. He looked at Makoto.

"Enough talk. The point is you want to duel right?" he then questioned. Makoto smirked and nodded. He activated his duel disk.

"Then, the duel will give you the answer" Zane replied and activated his as well. He looked at the deck in his hands. Worry was shown on his face now. In the end he plugged the deck in at the duel disk. The duel started.

Makoto: 4000 Lp.

Zane: 4000 Lp.

Zane started off. He summoned "Infernal dragon" with 2000 att in att mode. Then he ended his turn. He had just done that when he could hear voices in the background now. He saw Syrus and the twins running towards him now.

"Big brother! The duel has already started!" Syrus then yelled in a worried tone.

Zane had a short look at Tara, before he returned to his opponent. He was not gonna quit this duel. He was gonna show her and the king, that he was worthy of Tara. It was Makoto's turn. He drew and summoned the machine monster "Drillago" in att mode. It had 1600 att and apparently an interesting eff. If there were only face up att monsters on the field, it could attack the opponent directly. Zane snort coldly. Bring it on! In the background Syrus were yelling concerned up about his health and the duel. He wanted him to stop, but Zane ignored him. Makoto wasn't done yet though. He also activated the spell "Limiter removal". With it, he could double the att of every face up machine monster on the field this turn. His monster now had 3200 att. He attacked Zane directly. Zane groaned in pain when the drills from the monster hit his body. He lost 3200 life points.

"3200 life points already?!" Jaden uttered surprised.

"Zane, I can't let you get through with this duel" Syrus then screamed with worry "Your body will..".

Zane tried ignoring his brother's cry of worry. It was a little difficult however, since his heart was beginning to beat in an abnormal rhythm. He clenched around his chest now. Makoto was not done yet though. He activated the spell "DNA-Erasure magic". It was an continuous spell card and with it he could declare a type of monster, and those types couldn't be sent to the grave. Instead they were removed from the game. Makoto declared dragon monsters. Then he laughed like hell again. Zane sneered. With that he sealed his Cyberdark combo. Makoto placed a facedown and ended his turn. Since he had used Limiter removal this turn, his monster was destroyed and sent to the grave. It was Zane's turn again. He drew and summoned "Cyberdark Kiel" to the field in att mode. Normally he could equip a dragon monster to it from the grave, but since he didn't have any, he couldn't use that effect just now. However since his opponent had no monster's out, it was a good time to make some direct attacks. He attacked with his two monsters, but Makoto was ready for him. He activated his facedown card "Call of the haunted" and brought his Drillago back. It saved him some life points, but Zane's dragon made quick process with it though, and he lost 400 life points. Zane then attacked with Kiel and he lost 800 more life points. Zane was smirking evilly now. That until a shock went through his body and his heart was beating rather abnormal again. Zane looked at his deck. Just as I thought. This pain..! He placed 3 cards facedown and ended his turn. Since it was his end phase, and Infernal dragon had attacked, it was sent to his grave.

"I won't allow dragon monster's to go to the grave" Makoto reminded him and pointed at his spell "Dragon monsters are instead removed from the game". Zane looked in horror when his dragon disappeared from the field.

"Isn't there any way to send dragon type monsters to the grave?" Jaden questioned.

"There is" Tara replied slowly "If he uses that card I borrowed from him once". However Zane ended his turn completely now, but at the same time grabbed at his chest. His heart was hurting painfully now. It was Makoto's turn. He drew and summoned the monster "Jinzo returner" in att mode. (lv 3, 600 att)

"Jinzo returner?" Jaden questioned slowly. Tara's eyes narrowed.

"I see. That is why Jinzo said he could feel something familiar" she then added.

Makoto activated his monster's eff. It could bypass Zane's monster and attack directly. Zane quickly activated his trap "Power wall". By discarding 1 card he could reduce damage by a 100 points. He discarded 6 cards from his deck to the grave. By doing so, he reduced the damage to 0. However it didn't help on the pain who got inflicted on his heart. Zane groaned in pain now.

"Brother, no! Your body is in pain!" Syrus yelled at him and began rushing over to him, but Zane didn't want that.

"Don't come!" he yelled back "Don't come! I have to prove myself. I have to prove myself to Tara, and the king". Syrus and Jaden looked puzzled over at Tara.

"I see" Tara just replied in her monotone voice.

The battle continued. Makoto was not done with his move just yet. He activated the spell "Psychic wave". If he had Jinzo returner on the field, he could deal 600 points of damage to his opponents. It had a cost however. He should sent a Jinzo card from his deck to the grave. Zane sneered in annoying. He activated his other facedown. The trap "Fusion guard". He could activate this when he was about to take damage from an effect. By sending a random fusion monster to the grave, like his "Cyber end dragon", he could negate Makoto's spell card. Makoto sneered in annoying. He placed one card facedown and ended his turn. It was Zane's turn again. Zane smirked, but at the same time he was in a terrible condition. He was not sure how long he could keep this up. He looked down at his last facedown. It was the trap "Rebirth judgement". If I'm able to activate this, every monster in my graveyard becomes dragon type monsters. With this card eff, and Cyberdark combo, I can win this fight. Then I have proved myself to Tara, the king and the deck.

"So this is what you're wanted?" he then said out loud and looked at his deck.

I'll fight with you till the end, if that's your desire. He smiled a little smile. Sweat was shown on his face now. He just had to win. He placed his hand at the top of his deck and shocks ran through his fingers, and body. Zane groaned in pain. He drew and.. even more pain hit his body. His heart was beating at an alarming rate. It was way too fast. Zane groaned in pain once again.

"I.. trap card..!" he tried saying, but then fell down on his knees. Syrus and the twins looked rather shocked at that. Syrus quickly rushed to his side now.

"Zane, you can't take any more of this!" he then yelled. Zane sneered.

"Don't come! Syrus!" he then said in a weak tone.

"Zane please, please quit this duel" Syrus begged.

"No I can't stop!" Zane replied slowly "I owe it to the deck, and myself..".

"Owe the deck?" Syrus questioned "What do you mean?".

"What's wrong?!" yelled Makoto then suddenly "Zane Truesdale! Are you going to abandon this duel?". Zane sneered in annoying.

"I will do no such thing" he then said and got slowly up "Even if the beating of my life is to stop, I.. will fight until the very end with this deck". Syrus and the twins looked stunned at him. Zane clenched around his chest. With all his will he said.

"Trap card open!". He smirked and was about to activate it's effect, when all his restly strength left his body, and he collapsed to the ground. His body couldn't handle more.

Syrus's p.o.v.

"Big brother!" Syrus yelled and soon Zane was surrounded by Syrus and the twins. "Brother that's enough! This duel is cancelled. So..".

"Don't be kidding!" Makoto then suddenly yelled "The existence of both our styles is on the line in this duel. It can't be stopped unfinished!". Zane, who was now supported by Syrus now, looked weakly up at him.

"Syrus, let go,.. I can still..".

"But if you're going to surrender, that's a different case" Makoto then said and smirked "So what is your decision Zane Truesdale?". Zane shook proudly his head.

"Then continue!" Makoto then said firmly "Our duel".

Zane tried doing just that. He tried getting up, by holding his hands at Syrus and use him as a support pillar. He almost succeed, when his body was failing him again and he collapsed in the sand. He was still awake, but that was the only thing he could do.

"What are you doing?" Makoto mocked. "It's your turn. Get on with it!". Zane groaned weakly. He didn't have any strength to do anything. Then suddenly Syrus was kneeling down beside him. He leaned over his brother, to grab his hand.

"Syrus!" Zane said in a weak tone. His brother looked at him with a sad expression.

"I am sorry" he said and began moving his hand over to his deck to make him surrender.

The twins were watching them with an emotionless expression. However when Syrus was holding the tip at his fingers at the cards, shock ran through both of them. Even Syrus could feel it. He looked rather surprised.

"Syrus, are you sure that's what you want?" the twins said in unison. Syrus had stopped up. In the background they could all hear Makoto laugh up. He was thinking Zane had surrendered by now.

"Now the Cyber style has completely groveled to my Android style" he then said and laughed like hell again. Surprisingly Syrus had gotten up from the ground now.

"No, he hasn't surrendered yet!" he then said firmly and showed that his brothers hand was not over his deck at all. Makoto looked surprised. The twins were a little as well, but they nodded encouraging to him.

"This duel.." Syrus then said slowly "I will take over. The cyber style and my big brother will never grovel to you! And neither will I. I will defeat you!". At that Makoto actually laughed loudly again.

"Interesting, but why in the world should I duel you?" he questioned "You are just his little brother. I came here to duel and defeat the heir of the cyber dojo. I don't have the time to duel you".

Syrus looked rather stunned by that. he had thought he would accept his challenge on behalf of his brother. Then they heard a coughing voice. Syrus turned surprised around, to see Tara walking in front of him. Her duel disk was activated. She looked actually determined. Zane looked weakly up from the ground now. He couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"Tara, what are you..". But Tara placed a finger on his lips.

"Shh I will take over now" she then said "I know how important this is for you. For that reason, I didn't stop you Zane". She turned towards Makoto.

"I will duel you" she then said "Not as a cyber duelist, but as a plain normal challenge. If I win you will let Syrus take Zane's place in this duel".

"Oh this is very funny" Makoto said "First his little brother and now his girlfriend. I ask again for what reason, should I let you two duel me?". Tara snort coldly.

"Because if you win, you will get this card" she replied and was holding up a Jinzo card.

A,N: Dun, dun, dun, dun. An interesting ending right. I figured this was a good place to stop. Lol. In the next part, we see a seriously interesting duel with Tara and Makoto. Tara is surprisingly using her own self made deck. Which she cough of course wins with. But hope that is still interesting. Then we have later after some event. The battle with Syrus and Makoto. Hope that peeks your interests.
