Bonds broken by destiny?! Part 2.

A,N: Well here is the next chapter. So sorry about that, but at least you get to read a lot more lol. Please comment on what you think when done reading the chapter ok 😊 Oh and decided on how Jaden's Arcana card looks like. The fool card epic right?!

Normal p.o.v.

"Wait the twins went to Domino City?!" Dr. Crowler uttered rather stunned. He was currently present in Chancellor Sheppard's office, and the good chancellor nodded.

"Yeah, and we haven't had any contact with them for some time now, since they went to Domino City" Sheppard replied slowly. He was rather worried.

"Damn it those brats" Crowler uttered annoyed "What were they thinking, running off during this important Graduation duel?". Sheppard nodded slightly, thinking, You two just have to make it in time, Tara and Jaden Yuki.

Outside on school grounds, duels of a different sort was delivered all around the island. Certain obelisk blue students were winning duel with a familiar evil monster. Something Trueman was known for using. Dark archetype. An Obelisk blue boy were currently using it, attacking a student, to draw him into the world of darkness.

"As promised, I'll have you disappear!" the obelisk boy said and made his opponent vanish, leaving only the duel disk behind.

Two other students, One of them being in Sorano's appearance, walked out from behind the trees there. Both of them smirking evilly.

"We no longer need these bodies, that gave birth to us from the darkness in their hearts" the guy with brown hair said.

"Any memories or existence is no longer needed" the obelisk boy with Green hair said and smirked evilly. Sorano nodded at that too.

"There is only one will needed in the world. There's only..". He began radiating in a dark aura now. As did the other two boys the energies they were releasing, now got send up in the sky to who knows were. Then they all uttered in unison.

"Darkness".

Haou's p.o.v.

Haou was not happy. He was not happy at all. He was floating in spirit form beside Jaden, and were watching how his new temporary vessel were an idiot. Jaden Yuki was literally going into a trap, and he hadn't even realized it! He refused to believe anything Haou was telling him, and really believed this former light's host Sartorius, was speaking the truth. He considered him a friend. Haou on the other hand considered this foolish. Jaden was acting irresponsible and on pure emotions. Haou used logic and common sense. Jaden literally didn't realize his surroundings right now for instance. They were in an elevator! Going to that supposed helicopter at the top of this building, who should supposedly bring them back to duel academy, and stop Trueman and his goons assault on duel academy. That sounded perfectly reasonable. Or not! There were some major facts that could prove it, and if Jaden just would think a little bit rational, he would see that as well. Like for instance, that Tara was not in this building. They were in an elevator, and with Tara's claustrophobia, there was no way, she would go in there along with Yubel. Even if she took the stairs, Haou didn't believe Tara would just wait at the top. She would not go up there without her brother. The closest would be her waiting inside. After all she was not a fool, unlike Jaden. Right now Jaden was conversating with Sartorius. They were talking about how Axel had been bait for Jaden and Tara. All to lure them here, so they could attack Duel academy. Haou hissed angry. Sartorius were sneaky. He knew that from the twins second year. He could hide a lie, beneath the truth. Haou knew Sartorius spoke the truth right now. Axel had been bait, and duel academy was under attack. That made others, who were fools like Jaden, believe everything he said. He had done that before after all. Telling Jaden half lies around the prophecy, making the boy believe that to create balance in the universe, one of them were the lights chosen one, and the other the darkness. If Jaden had sacrificed himself there to free Tara, the light would either have not kept its word, or freed Tara, but have kept some of the light stored inside her, making her come back in the end. Either way he would have gotten both of them. Haou knew the light was greedy. Always has, and always will be. Haou's eyes fixated on Sartorius now. He was not infected by the light in anyway now, but the king wondered what drew him towards the light in the first place. After all, it wasn't the light who seek out people to become it's host, it was people's desire who drawn the light to them. He turned to Jaden.

"Jaden, this is foolish" He mused out "Tara is not here".

"Of course she is not here, she is at the top waiting for us" Jaden replied back. Haou sighed deeply inside. They were headed for a trap. At least he could prepare Jaden for it. Or he hoped he could.

"No she is not!" he then said firmly "Jaden, we are in an elevator!".

"Yeah so what?!" Jaden said and snort "What has that to do with anything?!".

"Jaden, your sister is claustrophobic" The king sneered back "And with my Yubel..". The king looked at Jaden, hoping he had at least put two and two together. He did, but at such a slow pace. At least compared to Haou.

"Tara would never..." He could hear Jaden muse out. Horror was written on his face.

The sound of the elevator stopping could be heard. The door opened, and revealed a giant duel dome. The one Yugi Muto and their father Seto Kaiba once had been dueling in, but of course been upgraded a lot since then. Sartorius walked out as soon as the door opened, and left Jaden confused. Maybe even angry. Jaden walked out of the elevator however, and looked around.

"Sartorius, where did you take me? This is not where the helicopter should be" he then said "Tell me where Tara is! We need to return to Duel academy at once".

"There is no helicopter, and I have no clue where your sister is" Sartorius replied, turning his back to him, and was now holding a duel disk in one of his hands. "You should deem yourself lucky that I preferred you over your sister. You might say I have a soft spot for her. However they only want one of you gone as a bare minimum".

Haou's eyes narrowed at that. Jaden's eyes widened in surprise though.

"Sartorius I don't understand" he then said slowly.

"You won't be taking a single step out of Domino City" Sartorius replied in a cold tone. He turned around with lifted duel disk "You'll duel me here and now".

"Stop joking! We don't have the time for this" Jaden shouted angrily "If Tara is not here, I need to go find her. Then we will return to DA on our own". Haou nodded at that, and they both turned towards the elevator.

"Don't move!" Sartorius shouted "If you try to leave here, your body will pay the price. There is bombs set up around here set to explode this place. In other words, the moment you stepped in here, our fate was linked to this building. The switch activates when someone tries to step out of this building. Your only have one option to save yourself, and that is to lose to me, and become Darkness". Haou rolled his eyes a little and looked at Jaden.

"You are in quite some mess Jaden" he then pointed out. Jaden hissed angrily.

"Don't you think I know that!" he yelled back, his eyes turning golden, while a part of the darkness resonated with his emotions "Fine I messed up. Happy now?! Just can't believe Sartorius got fallen into Nightshroud's hands okay".

"Jaden calm yourself" Haou replied in a calm tone "He hasn't. Look closely".

"What do you mean he hasn't?" Jaden questioned, his golden eyes were glaring at Sartorius now. Sartorius smirked a little.

"It is useless to look at me with those eyes Jaden" he then replied "I am the real Sartorius. I am not an emissary of the true Darkness. Guess that is what the supreme king said as well?!". Jaden looked puzzled at him.

"Then why?!" Jaden demanded now. He wanted to know what was going on.

"Isn't it strange? That I, who used to see everyone's destiny, is now being addled by destiny even after losing the power" Sartorius rambled on. Haou and Jaden both didn't understand what he was talking about.

"Just what happened Sartorius?" Jaden asked once again. Sartorius sighed deeply.

"Forgive me Jaden, but if I don't defeat you, Sarina will.." he began slowly.

"Sarina?!" Jaden questioned. Haou hummed. He remembered seeing her in both of their memories, at the second year. The one trapping them in cyber space.

"We are a lot like you and Tara" Sartorius continued "Shared a bond, like you as siblings do. We shared pain together since our childhood. As a brother yourself Jaden, I am sure you understand my predicament. Losing my only blood-related sister. It is like I have been torn to pieces".

Haou sighed inside. He could feel Jaden's distress. Could feel his sadness and pain, and Haou knew if Jaden was the one being in this predicament.. If this was Tara, who was taken away from him, Jaden would instantly sell his soul to maybe even to the devil, just to be able to see her again. Haou sighed again. This time he knew Sartorius was telling the truth.

"Sarina was captured" Jaden mused out, changing his eyes back to his normal color and the darkness disappeared as well. Jaden looked at Sartorius with sad eyes. Forgiveness were easy to read in them. "That is why you are doing this..".

"If it means getting Sarina back, I don't care if I am dyed by this darkness" Sartorius replied and activated his duel disk "Let's go Jaden!".

Jaden also activated his duel disk and a heated duel began. Haou looked at both of them. Then shrugged. He couldn't do a thing to stop them, so he might as well help Jaden where he could. Seconds later he returned inside Jaden's body.

Jaden's p.o.v.

Jaden felt rather stupid for getting into this mess. Clearly this had been a trap all along, and Jaden at some point felt, he owed the king an apology. Not that he was gonna say anything about it, but Haou had been trying to protect him, in some way, and Jaden just had refused to listen. Now the boy regretted it. He could be out there looking for Tara at this moment, not dueling Sartorius. Not that Jaden didn't feel sorry for his friend. Of course he did. His sister Sarina was captured somewhere, and Sartorius was just trying to get her back. Even if it means defeating him here, and sent him to the world of the true darkness. If this had been reversed, and Tara was captured Jaden would done everything, even letting Haou and the darkness control him, just to make it possible to see and free Tara again. At that point they were much alike. Him and Sartorius. Jaden hissed a little. He had to duel now. He just hoped Tara would be okay out there. Maybe he should finish this quickly.

"Sartorius, I won't hold back!" Jaden shouted firmly.

Sartorius: 4000 Lp's

Jaden: 4000 Lp's.

Sartorius just smirked at that and started off his move, by drawing.

"If you choose destiny, the changed destiny can never be returned to how I was.

This has always been my cherished point of view" Sartorius then said and sighed "But.. I now feel that's wrong. For one who choose the second destiny, they can never be forgiven. I now feel that through duels, I disgraced this deck by my past actions..".

"What are you trying to say?" Jaden questioned and looked at his opponent.

Sartorius just shrugged and summoned "Arcana force VII, the chariot" to the field in att mode. As usual the card over the monster began to spin, and Jaden had to make it stop. Which he did. Sartorius's monster got the up-right eff, so when his chariot destroys monsters by battle, he could summon it to his side of the field. Jaden sneered at that.

"If your emotions get in the way, before long you won't ever be able to fend off destiny" Sartorius replied slowly "I am sure the king suggest the same thing".

"He is right Jaden" Haou mused in his head "If you slip up, the darkness takes over. Surprised that former host knows that". Jaden sneered angry, but he tried to calm himself. He turned to Sartorius.

"Why? Why are you helping me Sartorius?" Jaden questioned.

"I don't. You will understand that soon enough" Sartorius replied.

He tossed down two face downs and ended his turn. As he did, darkness were pulsating from those two face down's and the whole floor were covered in darkness. Jaden looked stunned at it. This darkness was different than the gentle darkness he was using. Sartorius was calm and collected. It looked like he couldn't see it, which might be the case.

"What is.. those face downs?" Jaden mused out to himself.

"Jaden, be careful. Their energies are weird.." Haou replied inside.

Jaden nodded. He didn't need to tell him. He could sense the danger in them too. He drew and as he did, Sartorius revealed his first facedown. A continuous trap "Tour of doom".

"This activates during your standby phase. If it lands on upright position, you can't summon, flip summon, or special summon a monster at all Jaden" Sartorius now said.

"What? Then all possible methods to summon a monster would be sealed" Jaden uttered surprised. Sartorius smirked at that.

"That's right. Tour of doom will determine your life Jaden" he then replied. Without warning Jaden could see the card, who was beginning to spin. He tensed at that.

"What's wrong?" Sartorius questioned "You need to declare it to stop".

Jaden sneered. He knew that already. He took a deep breath. Calm down. Just concentrate. There's a 50-50 chance. The card had just turned upright, and began spinning downwards when Jaden declared the card to stop. It was in reverse position. Jaden sighed relieved. He could summon a monster this turn. That until Sartorius began laughing really loud. Jaden looked puzzled at him.

"What is so funny?!" he questioned "You're at a serious disadvantage now".

"The true destiny hasn't been decided yet. Behold this!" Sartorius replied and activated his second face down.

The trap "Decisive power of absolute destiny". Apparently this card made him choose a monster card, and if that card was in the opponents deck, alias Jaden's deck, Sartorius could special summon that monster onto the opponents field in att mode.

"I declare 'Arcana force 0, the fool'" Sartorius now said.

"The fool?" Jaden questioned in a puzzled tone "I don't have that card in my deck". That until darkness was emitting from Jaden's deck.

"How foolish Jaden" Sartorius replied in a sad tone "Look very closely at that deck".

Jaden looked stunned at him. Then he pulled out his deck from his duel disk. He searched through the deck, and found a card who was emitting in darkness. It was named Arcana force 0, the fool. Jaden was staring stunned at the card.

"That's right. At that moment when I was checking your deck for the true darkness, I placed it inside your deck" Sartorius replied with an evil smirk, like he had read his mind. Jaden sneered at that.

"Sartorius, what a dirty trick!" he said in a cold tone.

"Yes, call me a scum! Call me dirty! That's Just what I am right now!" Sartorius replied and smirked evilly "Now show yourself Arcana force 0 the fool". Jaden couldn't do a thing now. The card Sartorius had picked appeared on Jaden's field in att mode. It was having 0 att and def points. The card began to spin as well.

"Now it is my turn to decide your destiny" Sartorius proclaimed and made the card stop, so it was in upright position. He continued "First of all, the fool, now can't be destroyed in battle. In addition, as long as the fool is on your field, I am free to choose either the upright or reverse eff of my monsters".

Jaden was staring in disbelief now. He couldn't believe this was happening.

"Impossible, that means Sartorius can choose any eff of the arcana force monsters that holds his advantage!" Jaden sneered out angrily.

"Yes, whose deck was inserted with this card, and manipulated in this duel. Have already left behind your own current destiny that had no positive aspects" Sartorius now replied and because of the fool on Jaden's field, he changed Tour of doom to upright eff, making it impossible for Jaden to summon this turn. Jaden hissed at that.

"Now, what will you do?" Sartorius questioned "Will you end your turn? Or will keep up the duel? Hurry up and choose your path". Jaden sneered angrily. Don't joke around! Tara wouldn't want me to give up. No matter what, I'll find a way out.

"You mean we will" Haou interrupted him inside his head "You're in some big mess now. I told you not to trust him". Jaden sighed deeply.

"Fine we will" Jaden added inside his thoughts and placed a facedown and ended his turn.

He just hoped they would come up with something, before it was too late.

Yubel's p.o.v.

Yubel sighed deeply, as she flew around in the new environment. Or maybe an old environment were more like it. After all Tara hadn't brought them to just any regular place. This was the place she had been thinking of last. Her home. Her real house in the poor district of Domino city. The streets were as empty as the rest of the city, but it was at least Trueman free. Yubel hadn't hesitated one bit however, when they landed on the door step. Tara was unconscious in her arms, and Yubel had just punched the door in to get them inside. She had placed Tara on the couch, as well as getting a wet towel on her forehead, and stuff like that. When all that was taken care off, she removed her own card from the duel disk, and let Tara sleep. She needed to gain energies again. Yubel had hoped there had been food to help her recover, but the twins hadn't been home for over 3 years, so that was highly unlikely.

"Mell, mell, mell, mell!" A voice suddenly scolded at her, and Marshmallow was jumping up and down in spirit form. It sounded very angry.

"Yeah I.. wait what did you say?" Yubel questioned slowly "My light monster language is a little rusty". Marshmallow looked even more offended now.

"He says, you should leave his Tara alone now" Cyber tech replied and appeared beside her "He is angry you didn't protect her better".

"Mell, mell, mell" Marshmallow said firmly and jumped up on Tara's chest and cried out Tara's name a lot. Yubel caught that, but Cyber tech translated anyway.

"If you had, Tara wouldn't be in this condition" He said and sighed. He looked firmly at Yubel "We almost lost her to that world of darkness. And if they did that, Jaden wouldn't be far behind. You know her brother would do everything for My Tara. You failed as a guardian Yubel".

Yubel snort at that. That last sentence had clearly been Cyber tech's words, and not Marshmallow's.

"It was not my fault. She refused to merge with me!" she then replied firmly "I wanted to help her, but she was too stubborn. Secondly she is not even my spirit partner anymore. You all are! My beloved Haou are". Cyber tech growled angrily.

"Yes, that might be, but the Trueman's did something to them, meaning you are in charge of Tara for now" He sneered "You haven't even sat yourself into what kind of person My Tara is. You got jealous, for no reason at all, and tried getting rid of me. No wonder Tara dislikes you so much". Yubel tsked at that, but didn't reply at all.

"Go for stroll Yubel. Find the true essence of being a guardian spirit" Cyber tech said slowly "If you do, the spirit world might let you back again, even though you broke codex. Find it Yubel, and you might be able to save the twins".

Yubel growled angrily at that, but she did as the pesky alligator requested. Yubel knew Tara was in good hands with all the spirits she had on her.

Yubel sighed deeply when she walked through the old house. The house who had been a home to the twins for many years. Even after Jaden send her away, Yubel presumed. Why else would Tara teleport them here if it wasn't the case after all. However Yubel had no idea where to go. That and she didn't want to leave, in case Trueman, or any bad guy showed their stupid face. So she ended taking a spiritual stroll through the house instead. Not much had changed since she was gone. Of course small things had. After all only the twins were living here by themselves. Their mom had died, which had been after her time in this house. Yubel wondered if she could have changed anything if she had been present, in all those years the twins were all alone, and had to provide themselves. Of course they hadn't been completely alone. Their father had been there in the shadows, providing for them, but still. The twins had thought they had been alone to do everything together.

Yubel were staring at the table inside the kitchen they were having. If Yubel recalled correctly, her memories were fussy because of the lights influence on her, this table had been here Tara and Jaden had used most of their time together. Either dueling, or drawing or eating. Yubel remembered a certain scene inside her head now. The twins had been young children of course, and they had been drawing for that competition for Kaiba corp. They had helped each other in drawing a dolphin like creature, they called Aquas. Yubel had rolled her eyes that, considered they had paint all over themselves too. However then Tara had begun drawing another creature with a lot vigor and energy, that even Jaden had looked stunned at her. He even tried to make a sneak peek, but Tara had just pushed him away, telling him she would show him when she was done. After minutes of Tara's determination with a lot of colors, she was drawing with on the paper, Tara was holding up an awesome drawing, at least her eyes, who resembled a dark type monster of some kind. Yubel had at that time looked stunned at the drawing with widened eyes. Poorly drawn as it was, it still resembled one of Haou's ace monsters. That Evil hero Malicious Fiend. When she had asked Tara where she knew that monster from, she had replied she had dreamed about it, which just had made Yubel very angry inside. After all, why was she drawing it?! Why was she drawing any of Haou's beloved monsters, when it was Jaden who was born as his exact image? Jaden should have been drawing this, Not Tara, the twin girl who only had a minor share in the king's powers. Or so she believed. It hadn't helped that Jaden had been dreaming of Elemental hero Neos, who was a light monster, and the opposite of Haou's dark monster, which just confirmed Tara was closer to the king, than Jaden.

Thinking back on all this now, Yubel wondered if she had indeed been injustice on Tara. Yubel couldn't quite remember if she had been shouting at the young female that time. She might have, which hadn't been fair at all. She should had been the other way around, praising the girl, for her early heritage, not shouting at her. Yubel sighed deeply and continued her quest through the house. Soon the fiend monster found itself inside the twins room, who was upstairs in the house. That over the years had changed drastically. The twins had of course grown up more. Bigger beds, more decorated room, and there were even a drawn line on the floor. Why, Yubel didn't know. Maybe because Jaden's part of the room was a mess, compared to his sisters, neatly dressed bed. (Jaden needed to find his deck, in first chapter in season 1 remember?! lol) Yubel didn't question that all the mess was from Jaden's side. The only thing who wasn't a mess on that side, was Jaden having a giant poster with the king of games on his wall over his bed, while Tara surprisingly had one with Seto Kaiba. Yubel hummed. She wondered if Tara knew who her real father was at some point. At Tara's part of the room, there was also a window, which Yubel investigated by flying through it. It lead outside of course, but there were a ledge close at the wall, who actually managed to make you climb up on the roof at some point. Yubel wondered how much the twins had been up on that roof they were having through their life. The fiend monster returned to the room, and wondered what else she could find in here, but at the same time, felt like she shouldn't sneak around too much. There was a reason Jaden had sent her outside in space after all. For her being overly protective. Or something around those lines. Of course hurting Tara too, but still.

Yubel sighed again, and flew out of the room and out in the corridors. She was about to go downstairs, when she noticed something weird in the corner of her eyes. Inside the shadows of the corridors, were a commode painted in a weird green color, and on top of it, was a little box along with candles, who was of course not lit and a bowl, with pieces of metals and screws in it. Yubel found that whole thing rather weird and she flew over to see what it was. It took her some time to realize that this was actually some kind of weird shrine. She just didn't know who this was made for? Their mom? Or someone else who died? Their friends or..

"This is where you killed Cyber tech alligator" a voice then ran through the corridors, and Yubel flinched surprised "Or killed is maybe not the right word. Absorbed is maybe a little more like it, but at that time we didn't know better. I thought you killed him".

Yubel turned surprised around, and saw how Tara was walking out of the shadows. It surprised the fiend monster a little. Tara was apparently so trained in being one with the darkness, that even Yubel didn't hear her approach. Yubel even checked to make sure it was the real Tara Yuki standing there, and not a Trueman clone, but it really was Tara who was walking towards her. Marshmallow and Cyber tech were right behind her. She walked over to her, and lit a match. One of the candles lit on fire soon after. Yubel looked stunned at her.

"I didn't know you were awake Tara Yuki" she then replied. Tara shrugged.

"I recover quickly" the girl replied quickly "Just ask the light. They tried multiplied times to gain control of me in the past. Although Trueman power made me remember all mistakes in my life. Terrible feeling I can tell you that".

Yubel looked puzzled at her. Tara was sounding much more emotionless that usual.

"Tara, you sound different" Yubel said slowly "Are you okay?".

"Depends" Tara said in a low voice "How would you feel when you see all your fears and mistakes get tossed in the face?". Yubel didn't know what to say to that. How could she? She had no idea how that felt. Cyber tech sighed deeply.

"Tara, tell her what you told us" He then advised.

Tara was not reacting to it however. She was just standing there. Yubel looked puzzled at her, but figured she might find something for them to talk about if Tara wanted to talk. She was getting worried about her now.

"So this shrine, you build this after Cyber tech was absorbed by me?" Yubel questioned.

Tara surprisingly shook her head a little. She took Cyber tech card out of her deck and placed the card in the little box. His spirit returned to the card of course.

"No, actually I build this, so I could reach you, in the past" Tara said slowly "After we sent you into space, and before the procedure happened on us, I prayed here, using Cyber tech alligator's card to try and reach you. He was the closest one to you I thought. Jaden had all those nightmares as kid. It infected us both, so hoped this would help you, but after the procedure we both forgot, so instead it became a memorial grave, for our mom, and a lot of other uses". Yubel looked stunned at her.

"Why were you trying to help me then?" Yubel questioned "I did terrible stuff to you Tara Yuki". Tara looked up at her. Tears were shown in her eyes now.

"You did, but Jaden was extremely sad at that time. He never forgot you before we had that procedure happening on us. He cried a lot. More than usual. He missed you a lot. So I hoped I could get you home this way" Tara replied and clapped her hands together and made a wish on it shrine "Dear Shrine and spirit world, please forgive Yubel for all her past mistakes, and let her return to the spirit world once again, along with Haou one day. That is what I am wishing for". Yubel looked stunned at her.

"Tara what in the world are you doing?!" she uttered angrily "I am not wishing for this. You shouldn't forgive me. I did all this stuff, and you forgive me! What in the world is wrong with you?!". Tara looked puzzled up at her.

"I didn't understand your feelings as child" she then mused out "I took another protector, another guardian spirit, because I thought that is what you wanted. Having Jaden all to yourself. Cyber tech and I then later meet, but I didn't consider your feelings in all this. I didn't know you had your mission in protecting the vessel of gentle darkness. I hurt you deeply with all that".

Yubel sneered and placed arms on Tara's shoulder. Or she tried. Their eyes meet. They were staring eye to eye.

"No Tara, you are wrong. Very wrong indeed" Yubel shouted angrily "None of that was your fault. I was the one breaking the codex. I was the one being wrong. You see we have a codex among monsters, and I broke it. When a spirit chooses a partner, they are partners for life. Unless the human partner decides different. The human can have multiplied partners even. But if our human partner gives us up to others, like Jaden, I have to get to terms with it. I didn't. I broke codex by attacking my fellow spirit member and you. That is unforgivable. I should be the one apologizing Tara Yuki".

A light emitted from the box and Cyber tech alligator appeared beside Tara again with a bright robotic smile. Tara was also looking at her with a hopeful eyes. Light then suddenly emitted around Yubel for some reason. She didn't know why.

"I don't understand, what is going on here?" she uttered shocked.

"Yubel it worked!" Cyber tech uttered "We broke Trueman's spell on you".

"Spell?! I don't know what you are talking about?" The fiend monster uttered.

Arms wrapped around Yubel's waist now, and she found Tara hugging her now. Tears were running down her cheeks now though. Yubel even noticed Tara had placed her card on the duel disk, before all this. She really didn't understand what was happening.

"Yubel I forgive you. I know you have changed now" she sobbed out "Please don't leave me. I feel so scared after all that happened. I miss Jaden".

"Of course I won't Tara, but will someone tell me what is going on here" Yubel replied and ended up hugging Tara as well. Cyber tech smirked a little.

"We found out how to break the spell, Trueman placed on you" Cyber tech said slowly "If you forgive each other wholeheartedly, your bond should be restored".

"I can feel Jaden again" Tara said slowly "Not sure he can me, but at least I know he is safe and sound. I am so happy". Yubel hummed a little at that. Yeah that might be true. Considered Jaden and Haou..

"But I still don't understand, how did you all figure that out?" the fiend questioned.

"A human spirit brought Tara back to health, and told us about the spell" Cyber tech replied happily "We just needed you to forgive Tara wholeheartedly".

"A human spirit?! Who?" Yubel replied confused. A little light appeared beside both of them, and a long black haired female, dressed in a red and white attire were smiling sad smile at them.

"I did" She then said.

Jaden's p.o.v.

In the meantime with Jaden.

Jaden sneered angrily at Sartorius. He couldn't believe a former friend like him could use such a dirty trick. First of all he had planted the fool card in Jaden's deck. Secondly he had gotten it on Jaden's field, and with its eff, he could change his arcana monster's eff to his advantage. All cards who had a spin effect, Sartorius could change to benefit him, and it annoyed Jaden to no end. Because of Tour of doom, Jaden couldn't even summon a monster, and had to end his turn, without doing much. He was in a big pile of mess right now.

"Since you want to continue, I will honor your wish and lead you down the path of defeat" Sartorius proclaimed and drew.

He summoned "Arcana force III, the empress". It was having 1300 att points, and Sartorius, with the fool's effect, changed his monster to upright eff. Then he attacked Jaden's monster, the fool. It couldn't be destroyed in battle, but it was having 0 att points, so that was almost the same as a direct attack here. His empress attacked and Jaden lost 1300 life points. Then Sartorius attacked with the chariot, who had 1700 att. Jaden lost that amount in life points seconds later, leaving him only with 1000 life points. Jaden let out a scream when that happened. He needed to do something, or he was done in Sartorius's next round. He could hear Sartorius chuckle from his side of the field.

"What a fool. That is the perfect card to represent you Jaden" Sartorius mocked.

"He has a point Jaden" Haou mused back inside their soul "You fell for all this".

"Be quiet in there!" Jaden sneered angrily back at the king.

"Even your dear sister, the shooting star card, has more promise than you" Sartorius then said in that mocking tone "A wishing star, that can bring hope and happiness to others. Her forgiveness is far greater than yours Jaden". Jaden looked puzzled at him.

"Yes, sadly a card fitting for Tara" Haou mused inside his head in a surprised sad tone.

"Sadly?!" Jaden questioned firmly "Why are you saying that?!".

"Shooting star Jaden. A star falling from the sky" Haou mused "Wishing only other people's happiness. Not her own. A shooting star never returns to heaven Jaden".

Jaden tensed by that. Now that he thought about it, Tara always put others happiness in front of her own. He had seen it many times. Taking the hit when the light had been charged at Jaden, in his duel against Aster. Her sacrifice in the duel with Sartorius and Viper. Her staying with Haou, when he was taking over by him. She did everything to help him free, but at the cost of what? It was the same with her forgiving Haou and surrendered her emotions, so the king was free. Jaden might be a fool, but Tara was so much, much more than a lost star.

"No!" Jaden shouted out angrily and surprised Sartorius a great deal "She is not a falling star. Fine as the fool I am, I will bring the shooting star back to heaven. You will all see!".

Sartorius looked puzzled at him, but Jaden really didn't care. He drew and ignored Sartorius speech about how he made Tour of doom once again have the upright eff. Jaden could still not summon any monster. Jaden sneered angrily. If this keeps up, I won't be able to summon any monsters. Anyway, I have to somehow get rid of this annoying The fool. Jaden looked at his hand, and played the spell card "Neospace wave". With this card, he could sent the fool to the grave, and summon a Neo spacian in its place. With this I can send The fool to the grave. The special summoning of one of the spacians, will allow me to lower the changes of Tour of doom. That is all I can do now. Or that was what Jaden was thinking, Sartorius had other plans.

"It's useless to struggle" Sartorius said and smirked "The fool's upright eff makes it in effected by all trap, monster and spell effects on your side of the field". Jaden looked in horror as his Neospace wave got destroyed without doing a thing.

"If I can't remove it from the field, then I switch it to def mode" Jaden then proclaimed. He had to do just something!

"It's no use" Sartorius replied and smirked "You can't switch the fool from att to def mode either".

Jaden's eyes widened even more by that. It can't get destroyed in battle. It can't be removed from the field. I can't even switch it to def mode! When my turn comes, I can't do a thing. Jaden felt utterly helpless now.

"You understand now, don't you?" Sartorius then said "You have the choice of either being finished easily or painfully. That is all you can choose Jaden".

Jaden sneered angrily. He was staring at his deck. His heroes were useless now. Maybe he should give up. There were nothing else he could do, was there?!

"Jaden.. don't give up. not.. lose hope. You.. do it".

A female voice ran through his head now, and Jaden looked stunned around. That voice had been Tara's.

"Tara, where are you? Are you okay? I am in serious trouble in a duel against Sartorius, and can't come help you" Jaden shouted back inside his head, but he was not sure Tara could hear him. Seconds passed, and nothing. Then..

"Jaden, don't give in.. forgive.. H.. our bond. Sarina.. you'll safe. Deck.. and believe".

Jaden didn't catch half of it. However he understood some of it. He couldn't give up, but he wondered about the part with Sarina. Jaden shrugged. He needed to win this duel and find Tara. He couldn't give up now. He had his deck.

"I won't give up!" Jaden then shouted to Sartorius, and placed a facedown. "With the bond I have with my heroes and Tara, I'll show you I can break your plan combo!".

"Bond eh?" Sartorius questioned in a sad tone "How sad. When ties of the one you share this bond with is cut..". Jaden's eyes widened at that. He remembered Tara's words with Sarina. That's right. If I win the duel, Sarina will be in danger.

"Sartorius, where is Sarina captured?" he then asked. "If Sarina is captured because of Tara and I, we have responsibilities too. I'd like to lend my powers and I am sure Tara feel the same way. So isn't there any way to rescue her?".

"You two don't have any responsibilities" Sartorius said in a cold tone. "The fault lies with me, who was happy to lose the power to see the future, and chose to become a normal human being. Because of that, I couldn't know Sarina was in danger. We were born with special powers, just like you and Tara, but unlike you, our powers awoke during our childhood. We lived in fear by everyone, and lived in loneliness. So when I lost to you and Tara, and lost that power, I was a bit glad. By this I had been freed from a chain called destiny. That from now on, I can lie as a normal human being, with unlimited possibilities of the future".

Jaden looked puzzled at him now. What was he trying to say?! However deep inside his hearts, Sartorius story from his childhood resembled Tara and his own a little. Unlike that their powers were not awaken yet, they still had been lonely because of Yubel. They had also been feared by everyone, and called cursed kids. Jaden understood him in some way.

"But that was no more than a fleeting fantasy" Sartorius continued and sighed "We had no choice for a new life. Once one loses power, he keeps on losing in the end".

"That enough Sartorius!" Jaden yelled angrily at him "The place where your heart is supposed to be, is filled by their Darkness!". Sartorius looked at him was sad eyes.

"The place where my heart is.." he mused out slowly.

"Don't forget, you asked me and Tara to find out about Nightshroud" Jaden added.

"It's like becoming a mummy while trying to catch a mummy" Sartorius then mumbled out and looked at Jaden "You can laugh if you want".

"Sartorius.." Jaden replied. He had no idea what was wrong with his friend, but Jaden was extremely worried now.

"Let's go Jaden!" Sartorius proclaimed and drew.

He made the chariot attack the fool card on Jaden's field, thinking he was winning now. However Jaden was prepared for him this time. He activated his trap "Negate attack" and thereby stopped the battle phase for this turn. He was not giving up.

"All that did Jaden, was stall for time" Sartorius told him "Nothing can stop the coming destiny". Jaden sneered at that.

"Indeed, destiny is something that can't be changed naturally. I should know. Tara and I tried changing our destiny once too. All it did, brought us instead closer to the king, the guardian and the prophecy" he then said and looked firmly at Sartorius "But I know, that among the 40 cards thrown together in my deck, many combos are possible! And we selected the most suitable method of living from limited sources! As long as I have this deck, and hope of my sister, I won't throw this duel!".

"And if, in the case, those countless combos you mentioned were to disappear, would you say the same thing Jaden?" Sartorius questioned in a sad tone.

"What?!" Jaden shouted in disbelief. What did he mean by that?

"I'll let you taste the pain of destiny, by stealing everything from you" Sartorius replied and played the continuous spell "Sowing the fool".

Sartorius know chose a arcana monster on his field, like his chariot, and now if either got upright or reversed effect from the card, Sartorius or Jaden should discard cards to the grave equaling 300 att points, from the selected monster. The chariot had 1700 att, so Jaden should sent 5 cards from his deck to the grave. Sartorius could after all pick the eff of his cards as long as the fool stayed on the field. Jaden looked stunned at his deck. What an effect. I can't even attack in return. My deck is slowly written off. How can I escape from this desperate situation and combo?! Jaden sneered a little. sweat was running down his face now. He need to do something, or he would be finished.
