Tara's p.o.v.

When Tara opened her eyes once again, she was no longer at the castle. She was in a dark room surrounded by lot of glowing mirrors. She looked around. This room gave her goosebumps. She noticed that Axel and Jim was in here as well. Jim was in front of them, like when they dueled, and Tara and Axel was standing beside each other in the background. Tara however did notice that she was not bound in here.

"Jim where have we been send to?" Axel asked "Is your eye playing tricks on us". Tara saw Jim move his lips and reply Axel with something, but she wasn't listening at all. There in front of Jim was her brother. Jaden was sitting on his knees at the floor and looked defeated and devastated. Tara could feel Jaden again. She could feel the bond between them again and without any hesitation, she rushed over to him and gave him the biggest hug. Then she noticed that something was wrong. Jaden didn't react at all to her. He was just sitting there on the floor and was staring out in the air, with distant amber eyes. Tara felt so confused. Then Jaden began talking.

"I am so sorry" He mumbled out loud "What have I done? I can't believe all of this is my fault. I ruined everything and they all hate me. I just can't fix it". He let out a little cry. Tara looked in horror at her brother. Tears began falling down her cheeks as well. She was not sure why. Maybe because it hurt her to see Jaden in pain. That or because she actually could feel it. His pain, but didn't know what hurt him.

"Jaden" she whispered and shook him a little "Get a grip. I am here now. Tara your sister.". Jaden's body jerked by these words. He actually woke a little up and noticed that was Tara hugging him. He moved a little away from her.

"Who.. who are you?" He said. He only noticed her and not Jim and Axel.

"I am Tara" said Tara and felt like she was stuck by a knife "Your sister, don't you remember me Jaden?". Her brother jerked again. He looked really scared now.

"Tara, my sister?!" He got out and tears were coming out of his eye "She hates me. She doesn't want to see me. I hurt her.. I hurt her so badly". He let out another cry. As he did, the mirrors around him began glowing, showing episodes of their lives, where she actually got hurt, but never the reason why. Jim and Axel looked around as well.

"What is this?" Axel questioned. Tara sniffed a little as well.

"My brother can't remember me" She said slowly and felt like she was stuck by another knife "This is our memories, the king must have done something to him". Jaden let out a cry again and slammed his hands at the ground, mumbling stuff again.

"I am so sorry" He said "It is all my fault! I am a coward. I am nothing but a worthless coward, a shadow of a hero". Tara couldn't stand it. She moved over to Jaden once again and gave him a hug again while placing her head at his chest. He might not remember, but maybe the hug would make him calm down just a little. She just want to make his pain go away. Then she felt arms around her. Jaden was actually instinctively hugging her back, but Tara noticed he was not aware of it.

"I am so sorry. It is all my fault. I just don't understand were I went wrong. I don't get it" Jaden then said and sniffed. Then suddenly Tara noticed one of the mirrors near them was glowing up a little, and a voice from a person Tara thought she never would hear or see again, was shown in the mirror. It was professor Viber.

"That's what happens when you duel only for yourself Jaden" Viper in the mirror said "You see Jaden you have always been a selfish duelist. Don't you see that every duel you have been a part of, you have dueled because of yourself centered desire to win! To duel regardless how? Like you take the energy your sister gave you, so you can win no matter what! That must be an easy way to live! When you are looking out for yourself and only you!". Jaden looked scared and sniffed a little. He had placed his head at Tara's shoulder and let out a little cry.

"I didn't think I only looked out for myself. I thought I was a good friend" mumbled Jaden slowly. His body was shaking. "I am the worst". Tara could feel her brother shake in fear in her arms. He was still not aware that he was hugging her.

"Jaden don't listen to them" both Tara and Jim said, but it was like their voices couldn't even reach him at all. He began mumbling to himself once again.

"Maybe I am selfish. I just focused on what I wanted. Now my friends are gone. I am sorry!!" He yelled the last part out and as he did the mirrors changed again. Showing how Chazz, Alexis, Atticus and Hassleberry got sent to the stars. The only problem was their faces. They were all blurry. Like Jaden couldn't remember them correctly. Jaden let out another cry and was clinging to Tara, like she was the only thing keeping him from falling forward. Tara was shocked. Jaden really didn't have the strength to move onwards. Like he normally had.

"My friends" Jaden mumbled weakly "My sister! They all just left me. I am not worth keeping around. I don't deserve being their friend.. but it just hurts so much". He had just said that when the mirrors once lit up and showed pictures of Jim, Axel, Ember, Syrus and Tara. However Tara was the only image who wasn't blurry. All the others were. Jim looked shocked around.

"He doesn't remember us" Jim got out "Jaden get a grip". Tara shook him a little as well. Jaden didn't really react, but he did let go of her. His face showed true horror and was filled with tears running down from his eyes. He was holding his hand at his temples at his head and was shaking it wildly.

"They are all gone, and that's my fault" Jaden mumbled and as he did, the mirrors with his 4 sacrificed friends exploded one after the others. Jaden continued "I didn't listen to them and now they are gone! I am selfish! I am the worst! I only did what I wanted to do and now I am alone. I am all alone". Tara wanted to say something. She really did. She wanted to help Jaden getting out of this depressed state more than anything else. She wanted to see the happy Jaden she knew so well. She would do almost anything to see him smile right now. To know that all this was not really his fault. That he never hurt her and millions of other stuff. However before she could do or say anything, a familiar evil cold voice could be heard in here.

"Of course you are alone. Everyone is alone. There is no such thing as friends. There is only you, you and you forever". Tara looked in horror when millions of Haou's appeared in the mirrors and surrounded the twins and the others. Tara could feel a hand touch her and before she knew it, she was pushed backwards, away from Jaden. Jim and Axel catched her.

"So what if your friends are gone. You can't change the past. You can only look into the future. Tomorrow is yours for the taking, but you will have to truly want in. And in order to take it, you must have power". Tara was shocked. Apparently Jaden couldn't hear them, but he could hear Haou. Her brother had gotten up from the floor and was now staring at a shadow figure, Tara knew was Haou. He was holding out a hand towards Jaden, and in it he was having a glowing almost blank card.

"Take it!" the shadow said.

"No Jaden, don't do as he says" Tara yelled at him, but it was too late. Jaden had already taken the card and staring at it, like he was almost hypnotised. His mouth was a little open as well. Tara noticed the blank card was glowing and slowly showed a image of a card on it. Tara was not sure what kind of card it was though.

"If you want this power you have to be merciless Jaden. Use this power and we can conquer anything that get in our way" the shadow said and disappeared into the mirror once again. Jim sneered angry.

"Don't listen to him Jaden. He is just trying to trick you mate" Jim yelled "He is just using you. If you can hear me Jaden, then just turn around and walk away".

"Silence!" yelled the king and a glowing light appeared.

Tara and the others found themselves at the castle once again. They were still standing where they had been all the time, when the duel began. Tara was still bound to Axel, but she couldn't stop crying. She couldn't believe what she had been seeing. Was that really what happened to Jaden? Tara fell down on her knees. That was not suppose to happen. Just because.. just because she was not around when he needed her the most. She had failed him. Suddenly Shirley was growling beside Tara.

"Right you are girl" Jim said and looked back at Tara and Axel "Shirley is right, not everything is lost Tara. There is still hope! This duel is not over after all. So don't give up mate! If you do then how can we show Jaden to never give up?!". Tara looked surprised at him, but then she nodded. She wiped her tears away and got up from the ground. Jim is right! How can I show Jaden, to never give up, if I already have given up hope! We just have to keep fighting. Jim smiled again and turned towards the king.

"The eye of Orichalcum has shown us the fight going on in Jaden's mind between Jay and the king. The king haven't fully taken over. Jaden spirit is still there and the only way to get him free is to beat the supreme king" Jim yelled "I know that you can hear me Jaden, so please listen up. Don't give in! Just keep fighting and together we can make things right again. It won't be easy, but you got us!".

"Yeah that's it right, listen to me Jaden" yelled Tara as well "We are there for you!". Shirley growled in agreement. Haou sadly didn't react to all that, but Tara hoped some of it at least got through to her brother. Jim continued the duel.

Jim: 1900Lp.

Haou: 3500Lp.

Jim continued his turn. He used the spell "Fossil fusion" and removed his "Shell knight" and Haou's "Burstinatrix" from play. Then he fusion summoned "F.W. Skull bone" to the field. Then he played the spell "Time stream". By sacrificing half of his life points (1900 – 950), and monster, he could now summon "F.W. Skullknight" to the field. Jim made the monster attack Haou's, saying that this was the only way he could help Jaden, and that he would thank him later. Haou lost a small amount of life points, but Jim was not done yet. By using the spell "Half life". He could now summon the monster back who just got destroyed on the king's field, but this time it only had half of it's original att. Jim's knight's eff activated. If there is an monster on the field after the fossil warrior had attacked, it can attack again. The monster fought Haou's monster once again and dealt this time more damage. A lot of dust got created and Haou actually groaned a little. Tara hoped that blow got through to him.

"Jaden can you hear me?" asked Jim him "You got to fight him. You need to want to be free. Come on pal".

"Jaden! It is me Tara, your sister" Tara yelled at him as well "Please tell me you can hear us?". The dust slowly cleared and Tara could faintly hear a voice.

"Tara" the voice said and Jaden's brown eye colors were shown in his eyes now. However not even a minute after, they changed back to the cold amber golden eyes Haou had. The king sneered at them.

"Your fool!" He said in an icy cold voice "Your eye is no match for the power of darkness. Can't you see that. Jaden, his sister and I are one spirit". I looked puzzled at the king. What did he mean by that? Tara knew however not to try and ask the king that. Jim sneered. He properly didn't look happy by the result by now. It was the kings turn. He drew and activated the spell "O-oversoul". With it he brought back Avian and quickly sacrificed him to bring out "E.H. Malicious edge" in att mode. Tara remembered that move from her duel, but she still thought bringing a lv7 monster out this way was not fair at all. Jim thought that too. Haou didn't care. He attacked with his monster and blasted Jim and his warrior from the field. Jim fell down to the ground. Tara looked in horror. Come on Jim! Don't give up!

Ember's p.o.v.

Ember, Yellow Ojama and Syrus was wandering through the forest on their way to the king's castle. They had both heard the rumors about the king who supposedly used hero monsters in his deck. Ember and Syrus both agreed that, that could only be Jaden. Even though it pained to see what he had become, if he was the king of course, they just had to see these rumors themselves.

"Oh Jaden, please don't be the ruthless king" mumbled Syrus out "I know I should have been by your side, but this is ridiculous. Should killing duelist really bring our friends back?". Ember looked at him. She decided not to comment that. Her thoughts were running around her encounter with Jesse and one sentence was repeating itself over and over again. He had finally awoken! Yubel had said that, and Jesse had said something about Jaden as well. Who had awoken? She had wondered that a lot.

"Someone is coming" said Yellow suddenly "It looks like guards". Ember and Syrus both nodded to each other. Hiding was the best way for now. Getting known by the enemies only would lead to capture and mostly sent to the stars later on. Suddenly she could hear a little cry not far from here. She followed it and found a little girl and her mother. The girl had tripped and was crying a little. The woman tried making the girl stop. This area was not safe after all. Ember and Syrus rushed over there, straddled the two people at first, but then made them hide. Out of the shadows two goblins was walking down the road. Ember figured they were on patrol. She could hear them talk.

"You know what Grob told me on break" said one of the goblins to the other.

"No what did Grob tell you?" the other replied.

"That some human with a alligator and says mate a lot, challenged the supreme king to a duel outside the castle" the first one said. Ember bit her lip. That could only be Jim. The crew made sure no one was around before they came out of their hiding place. Then Syrus showed the lady and her child, the most safe way out of there. The pair thanked him and disappeared.

"Come let's get going"Ember said and sighed "I am worried about Jim".

"Yeah" Syrus said "Let's go to the king's castle.

Axel's p.o.v.

Axel was frightened. So very frightened. He was of course not gonna show that, but deep down, he was scared of the king. The last attack from malicious edge made Jim collapse to the ground, and Axel had a feeling he was unconscious. He was not sure what to do. Tara beside him was yelling Jim's name and that he should get up. That actually made the king sent some cold glaring eyes towards them. Properly not happy about that someone the king wanted back, wasn't going to cheer for him. However Tara just glared back again. Axel was surprised by her courage.

"He hasn't a chance to win this duel" could Axel hear Skilled Magician black from the lieutenants say. The others nodded.

"Yes all who opposes his majesty will crumble" Skull knight added.

"As they should" Baou said "The supreme king has the power to unite this world after all". Axel frowned by that. What did they mean by that?

"Come on Jim, keep fighting" yelled Axel then. He was very worried. If Jim couldn't continue the duel then he had to duel the king?! "Don't forget what you are fighting for". As a stroke of luck, Jim heard him. He growled and got up. The lieutenants was not pleased, but Axel ignored them, like Jim and Tara did as well.

"You should have stayed down" said the king suddenly in an icy voice "But if it's pain you want, It is pain you get". His eyes glowed a little and a darkness wind pressure was blowing towards them. Man I never felt this kind of power before. The king is much stronger than I anticipated. How are we ever gonna defeat him? Wait is that my hand shaking? Get a grip Axel, because if Jim loses, you would have to answer to the call of duty. He could feel a hand on his arm suddenly. Axel looked up and saw Tara had placed a hand at his arm and looked worried at him.

"You okay Axel?" she asked in a worried tone. "Don't worry he will not lay a hand on you. Not as long as I am here". Axel couldn't stop smiling a little smile. Although it was normally a male's job to protect her and not the other way around, but Axel was happy for the protection anyway. He felt a little more brave. He nodded to Tara.

"Hey Jim, don't let this guy blow you over" He said more to reassure himself than Jim.

"I don't intent to mate" Jim replied and continued "Do you think a little breeze can stop me?! Think again your highness". He drew and activated the field spell "Sacred defence barrier". A giant grassy field appeared around them now. Apparently now when each time a rock type monster is summoned, it was protected from one attack or card effect once per turn. Jim summoned the rock monster "Uluru's guardian" to the field in def mode. Jim looked at the king.

"And with that I end my turn. Your move your highness" Jim told the king.

"Indeed it is" said the king and drew "Malicious edge attack". Axel looked confused.

"Hold on, did you forget about my barrier just now?" Jim questioned.

"No I didn't" the king replied and Axel found out his monster still gave Jim damage.

"No biggy" Jim just yelled back. "I won't give up. I am still standing. So as long as I am in the game, I am gonna keep fighting, and you do the same Jaden, until the last card is played and the duel is over. Jaden! Am I getting through to you?! At least keep listening to my voice pal, your friends are here, fighting to get you free". Jim placed a card facedown and ended his turn. Axel and Tara looked worried at their friend. Jim was having a tough duel. Shirley was also worried and she was growling in background. Axel looked at her.

"Shirley, Jim is gonna be fine. He has a ton of guts" He reassured the alligator. However he was thinking something differently. With the supreme king backing down, I just hope Jim can't stand the pressure. Shirley growled again and Jim reassured them all that he was gonna be okay. The duel continued. It was the king's turn's. He drew and summoned "E.H. Infernal gainer" to the field. He made malicious edge attack and destroy Jim's monster. He was about to attack with gainer, when Jim luckily activated his trap and could now summon "Uluru the guardian spirit" to the field in def mode. It was a rock monster with 2500 def points, so it couldn't get destroyed once in battle. Axel sighed relieved, thinking he was saved for now. Gainer's att was lesser than the def points of Jim's monster. However..

"I activate gainer's eff" said the king suddenly "Since he hasn't battled yet, I can sent it 2 turns into the future. By doing that Edge can attack once again this turn". Axel, Tara and Jim looked surprised when the king's monster attacked again. Jim's monster got destroyed and gave him some more damage. Jim now only had 50 life points left and got blasted to the ground.

"Jim!" yelled Tara and Axel in unison.

Ember's p.o.v.

Ember and Syrus had arrived close at the castle. They could see the castle in the horisont actually and Ember sighed relieved. It had been a hard journey to get here.

"Oh we are stopping" said Ojama Yellow and sounded relieved "Does that mean nap time?". Ember couldn't stop smiling. Ojama yellow was the most complaining spirit she ever had meet. Syrus looked at him and began walking towards the castle.

"Seriously Ojama, how can you complain?" asked Ember and sighed "You are flying in the air all the time". The little spirit looked at her and sighed.

"But it is exhausting to fly all the time" He complained. Ember sighed. She was about to say something, when she felt the wind blow a little. She went silent. She was sure she heard something. She turned towards the sound.

"Ember something wrong.. Hey I think I saw someone!" the little spirit said.

"Let's keep going" Ember quickly said and began running after Syrus. Yellow sighed.

"But what about nap time?" He complained, but he quickly followed. Ember just ignored the spirit. No! It couldn't be him! No! It just couldn't! Ember shook these thoughts out of her head, but even as she did, she knew what she had seen. A person! The body of her beloved Jesse, which meant Yubel was not far away!

Tara's p.o.v.

Tara was not sure what she should say or do. she was scared. So much scared that she would end up in the king's clutches once again. Jim was having 50 life points and was down on the ground, properly unconscious. Tara looked in horror.

"Jim, Jim get up!" she yelled but nothing happened. She could see Axel having a horrified look on his face. Apparently Haou's bare presence was making him scared.

"I think.. I might have to duel him" Axel got out. Tara noticed that his hands were shaking. In the background Tara could hear the 5 lieutenants of Haou talk.

"Look it is almost as he is kneeling to the king" Skull knight said.

"Please have mercy your highness" Chaos said, but Tara knew he didn't mean a word he said. They were mocking him. Tara was sure they wanted to see Jim getting tortured or something like that. Tara bit her lip. If Jim, which never of course happens, should lose she would return to the castle and be with Haou, in some way Jaden, and some pitiful, malicious lieutenants. She could see Baou actually lick his lip a little. Haou looked at her. His amber cold eyes were staring at her, but he didn't move an inch. It was like he was waiting for Jim to get up. She wondered if Haou have had many duels that made people fall to the ground. Then she could hear the lieutenants talk once again.

"Hey you in the west are you next?" one of them asked Axel.

"No I think the alligator is next" replied another one of them. Then they began laughing like hell. Tara sneered. She wished she could go over there and smack them down. However going over there wouldn't that mean she belonged to the king?! No she was not gonna go over there. She looked at the unconscious Jim on the ground and wished he would get up soon! Jim, please get up!

Jim's p.o.v.

Jim was at duel academy. Some place where there were giant rocks where there was suppose to be fossils down there. Jim was hammering on the rock with his hammer, making sure he didn't destroy the fossil or the rock to much. He was smiling a lot.

"Here that Shirley, the fossils are talking" He said and smiled "They say 'come and find me Jim'". Then Jim laughed a little. He could hear Shirley growl in the background.

"Hey Jim I heard you laughing, what did you find, a funny bone?" a voice suddenly said and Jaden jumped down from a cliff and was standing beside him now.

"Jaden?" Jim questioned, but then smiled "That was a good one Jaden, but what I am doing here is serious business. When I uncover a fossil mate, I see the spirit of it once used to be. How it lived before they got trapped and buried, and that's why they want me to find them. If I don't then they would be trapped forever". Jaden looked at him and smiled.

"Oh I get it, a rescue mission" He replied. Jim nodded in agreement.

"Exactly, although they have been asleep for a long time. They might not like me waking them up" He said and sighed. Jaden shook wildly his head.

"No way that is true. I think they love it. Then they know they are not forgotten" He replied and smiled "It is like dueling. You are always busting through obstacles, looking for a way to break open the game...".

Jim eyes flew up and he quickly got up on his feets. Of course that's what you are Jaden. A spirit trapped beneath the rock. I am gonna smash that rock. I am gonna keep digging in order to find you and bring you into the light. Jim finally got up. His body was beaten pretty badly, but he didn't care about his own injuries right now. His main focus was Jaden. He was looking at the king and with his eye, he could look into the prison the king was keeping Jaden. Inside his own mind. He was actually on one of the mirrors he saw in there, trying to get Jaden to listen to him, but right now it wasn't working. Jim groaned a little. His body was aching. Tidal changes and a comet turns, a friend walks lost, two souls torn and the bandage falls. The eye sees the truth, and a friend shows us the way. I am coming pal and I am gonna show you the way. Jim sneered at the king and looked up at the comet once again. He would do everything, use every power to try and get his friend back. He just hoped it was enough. He began chanting.

"Eye of orichalcum, visions of the spirits, it is time, leant me your power" He said and a red light appeared around Jim and he was shouting a little bit, when the power from the comet rushed through him and the eye. It shined so brightly that everyone beside Jim had to close and shield their eyes. He turned towards the supreme king.

"Supreme king!" Jim said in a hard cold tone and tried making the king submit to his power "Let go of my friend and free Tara from your promise". The king was staring at him with his cold amber eyes. They looked pretty determined.

"No! Never!" The king replied coldly back "The twins are mine!". Jim sneered. It is no good this way. My voice can't even reach Jaden at all. He is hidden from the world. Like a fossil beneath the rocks. In this case, the rocks are made out of the supreme king's power. So in order to dig in there and rescue Jaden, I have to chip away at the supreme king's life points. Jim sneered. If that was the case then he knew what to do. He drew and played the spell "Fossil hammer". It makes Jim destroy Edge and forces the king to summon a monster with lower lv from his grave to the field in att mode. The king choses "Avian". Jim then summoned "Fossil dyna pachycephalo" in att mode. Since it is a rock monster, Jim's field spell protects it as well. Then he makes the monster destroy Avian. It's monster eff activated. Jim's monster switches to def mode and gains the att from the destroyed monster until the end of next turn. (Def 1300- 2300)

"There you go, nice move Jim. Now it is time to take down the king and get our friend Jaden back" Axel told him. Jim nodded.

"Right you are" He said and looked at the king "This was just the groundbreaking ceremony". The king just looked at him. He didn't say a word, but began his move instead. He drew and activated another "Dark fusion" spell card. He fused sparkman and clayman to fusion summon "E.H. Lightning golem" to the field. Jim sneered. Another dark fused monster. It's eff activated and the king's monster could attack twice this round, which made him destroy Jim's monster completely. Jim only snort. He was not about to give up. He was fighting for his friend.

"Alright king, it is over" Jim told the king and while he did, a red aura from the power of the eye was shown around him. "Hope you enjoyed yourself. Because your reign over Jaden and his sister is about to end. On the next turn I got something special for you". He drew and played the spell "Miracle rupture". With it he could select a rock type monster from his deck and sent it to the grave. Then he should shuffle and then draw a new card. Jim was staring intensely at his deck. Now if I play my cards right, then I will be able to weaken the king's power enough to get through to Jaden, if not, this duel is finished and so am I. this it is, eye of orichalcum, please show me the card I need to draw so that I can chip away at the darkness and king who is controlling Jaden. Here goes everything! Jim drew and as he did the ground around him collapsed and made a little crater, but Jim didn't care. He removed his "Skull bone" and "Skull knight" from play so he could summon "Gaia plate the earth giant" to the field in att mode (2800 att). When he did magma blew out of the crater and a giant earth monster appeared on the field. A lot of stream got created as well as well. Jim was not done yet however.

"And now for my monster's eff. Activated. It halved your monster's att. Go magma mist!" He said and his monster placed a lot of magma on the king's monster "But I am not done rocking, so let's get to it and get some more life points loss with an attack". Jim's monster attacked and when it did, the earth cracked and made the terrain go out of whack. The earth at the king's end got lifted up and for the first time, the king actually looked surprised. He now also only had 50 life points left.

"Jaden, listen up, break free! Jaden!" Jim yelled and for the first time after having activated the eye, Jim could actually see that Jaden inside the mirror room had turned his head towards him for.. Jim didn't know how long, but he actually didn't care. In thee background, he could hear Tara and Axel cheer him on like hell. They were both thinking, like he was, that he was now gonna win this. Jim smiled.

"Supreme king!" He said still smiling "Let go! Give me my friend back. It is time you stepped down from your reign of terror". However then Jim could feel some ice cold amber golden eyes stare at him and he saw that the king actually drew.

"No!" He yelled in his most ice cold voice "It's been two rounds. Know what that means, my Gainer is back". The monster he sent into the future returned to the field and Jim and the crew looked in horror at the king. He was still in control?!

"No it can't be" yelled Jim shocked "Don't let him do this, listen Jaden! Jaden, listen to me, come on Jaden!!". However whatever Jim said and did, even though he knew Jaden was finally seeing him, he didn't move or do a thing to reply Jim or tell him he heard him. He was just standing there emotionless. The king however..

"Stop calling me that!" He yelled "I am not your friend. I am fear! I am your undoing, I am timeless curse, the end of all things. You brought this upon yourself mortal, now learn the ways of darkness, I activate super polymerization". As the king yelled that he discarded a card from his hand and activated a spell Jim never had heard about before, but he was sure he had seen it somewhere before. A giant vortex appeared on the field and it was sparkling thunder around.

"Is that another fusion card?" could Jim hear Axel question "But he has nothing in his hand and he has only one monster on the field. How do he expect to fuse monsters when he has no cards". Jim looked first confused at the king, then his eyes widened.

"Ahr no way" He yelled, but it was to late. Before Jim knew it his monster Gaia began breaking down and flew over to the king. Jim looked in horror.

"No if he can use Gaia, then I am a gooner" Jim said and was looked shocked.

"I am playing super polymerization" the king told him "With that I can fuse my monster with any monster on your field. Combining them to form your doom".

"Ahr, I am done" said Jim and sighed "I have no spells, no monster cards. Nothing!".

"You feel that, it is hopelessness. It is fear and panic and terror" the king told him and actually sneered "It is these feelings who hurt Jaden and made me take over, but unlike the twins here, We have no further needs for you. Disappear!". The card got activated and absorbed the two monsters and in it's place a black fiend devil appeared. Jim and company looked in horror.

"Meet evil hero dark gaia" the king said and snort "Gaia's attack points is the combined att from the fused monsters, giving it an att at 4400. you will be gone soon enough". He made his monster attack Jim. Giant rocks looking like meteors was flying trough the air. Jim sighed a little.

"Jim!" yelled a voice in the background and he looked back. He could see Tara look at him with tears filled in her eyes. She was crying at him. Jim smiled a little. Suddenly he could hear a growl beside him and saw Shirley standing beside him. He padded his friend and partner a little.

"Sorry girl I am gonna lose this battle, but I see you want to be with me" He asked the alligator. Shirley growled in reply and walked really close to him, then the attack hit them and Jim felt drained, his life points hit 0 and his wish threat to the king broke. His own lit up and Jim fell to the ground. They didn't know that at the same time, the mirror Jim had been using inside Jaden's prison broke in million pieces, and that Jaden was shortly looking at it, before he placed himself at the wall created by darkness, and was just staring into the air. Back in the real world Jim had now lost to the king and the he could do with him like wanted now. Jim sighed, but a deal was a deal. He was not running from his words ever! He just hoped Ace was proud of him.

Tara's p.o.v.

"Jim!" yelled Tara and was trying to get out of the ropes she was tied up with. She looked at her captivator Axel.

"We got to go him!". Tara said and had begging eyes, but she had a feeling that Axel was not gonna go over there. However a little while later to her surprise, Axel actually nodded and they both rushed over there. Axel removed the line from his pants as well, which Tara was appreciating.

"Jim!" yelled Tara once again when she was standing in front of him. Jim and Shirley looked at her and Jim smiled a little. The scenery was changed back to the castle when the duel was finished and Haou and his lieutenants was standing some meters in front of them, and was actually waiting. Tara figured they were waiting to see what Jim was gonna do.

"Tara!" he said and smiled a little "You are not running away?". Tara shook her head.

"No, you fought so brave, so couldn't.. I won't run" She said and had a stolen look at the king. She was a little scared of returning to him, but a deal is a deal. Jim smiled.

"You don't say mate" Jim said and got up from the floor "Here I have a gift for you Tara, and Axel take care of the rest will yer". Tara looked at Axel. He actually looked a little pale. He didn't respond to Jim's question at all. However the australian didn't care. He placed two things in Tara's hands. A card and a ball. The eye of orichalcum.

"These things will hopefully help you later on" Jim said and looked at Haou now "If you excuse me, I have a promise to keep". Then he began walking towards the king.

"Sorry for the wait your highness" Tara could hear him say "You can do with me as you see fit". Tara noticed Haou's cold eyes stare at her for a moment, before turning towards Jim again. Then he snort.

"You didn't try to run?" the king questioned "Smart move. It would be foolish. Now kneel and let's get this over with". Jim sighed and did as he told him.

"Wherever you are sending me your highness, may Shirley come with me?" Jim asked. Tara noticed Haou was looking at the alligator at his side and shrugged.

"That can be arranged" he just said "Now stand still". Tara saw that he had taken a card out from his deck. He touched Jim and Shirley with it. The card as well as Jim and Shirley began glowing. Tara looked in shock when she saw it was the card "Super polymerization". It was that card he had given Jaden in the mirror room. A little while later, Haou took the card away from Jim. Apparently it absorbed his energy. So this is duel fuel, I don't like that at all. The king looked at him.

"I don't need anything more from you. Disappear!". As he said that, Jim and Shirley glowed again and turned into stardust. Then they were completely gone. Tara had tears running down her cheeks now. Jim was dead! He was really dead! She just couldn't believe it. She could feel a hand on her shoulder now and saw Axel beside her now.

"We got to go now" Axel told her and grabbed her hand. Tara looked surprised at him and before she could do or say a thing, Axel began running away with her. However they didn't even get more than 10 meters, because Haou's voice rang through the air.

"Seize them!" He said in his monotone voice. Before Tara could count to three the lieutenants was standing in front of them. Skull knight hit Axel with a fist on his cheek which enabled the two skilled Magician brothers to grab him. Chaos had grabbed Tara in the rope and soon after they were brought in front of the supreme king. Tara didn't struggle, knowing she wouldn't escape. Axel on the other hand was trying to get free. He was fighting like hell. Tara couldn't understand why Axel had tried to run away in the first place. She wondered if it was because he was afraid of the king. She never seen Axel scared before. She turned towards Haou once again. She could see that Haou was sending cold eyes at Chaos and before she knew it, she was free from the rope and standing on the ground in front of the king.

"Tara, leave him and stand beside me now" Haou said "It is an order". Tara took one last look at Axel. She sighed inside and walked a little bit later over to the king. Like he told her. She just hoped Axel would understand. She wiped away her tears as well.

"Your highness, what shall we do with the human?" asked S.M white and his brother continued "Shall we kill him?". Tara gulped inside and hoped that was not the case.

"If that is the case your highness, may I be the one to do it?" Skull knight asked and bowed to the king "Him and I has an old score to settle".

"I would prefer to torture him first, then kill him" Baou said and licked his lip "That or I really could use new spies". Tara saw Chaos slam Baou in the head.

"Shut up you're stupid vampire" He said "His majesty decide what to do with this human, nor any of you". Baou began argue back and Tara wondered if they were all a bunch of idiots. Haou sneered as well.

"Silence!" He said which made them all stop talking. Then Tara felt a hand pat her hair once. It gave her goosebumps. She looked up in Haou's golden eyes.

"Tara, you decide" He said in his monotone voice "I want to see your loyalty". Tara's eyes widened. Me! He has chosen me, but I can't decide! But this is Axel, I will maybe never get a chance like this! But Haou would never.. Tara gulped and had a stolen look at the king. She could feel the glaring eyes from the lieutenants.

"I.. I want to show him mercy your majesty" Tara got out "Let him leave out here alive". She could and could feel everything around her getting dead silence. The lieutenants, who was about to say something, stopped up and looked at their king.

"You are asking me to spare him?" Haou asked in his monotone voice "He, who took you from me?! You want me to show him mercy?". Tara nodded slowly.

"No Tara, my life is not that important" began Axel but got slammed in the back by a fireball from Chaos. Haou squeezed his eyes and snort.

"NO!" He said "Skull knight". The green knight nodded and was on his way over to Axel with lifted sword. Tara looked in horror.

"No, please supreme king, please I beg you, don't kill him" She said and grabbed his arm "I will do anything. Please just spare him". Haou looked at her and snort.

"Anything?" He said and flicked which made Skull knight stop up "Like what?".

"My.. freedom for his" Tara got out and continued "I am not fully sure what you want with me, but now I won't run away. I will stay by your side regardless what. I promise! Unless you get beaten in a duel. Then I am free".

"No Tara don't do it" yelled Axel but he got hit once again. The king looked at her. Then he looked over at Axel and then back at Tara. He took her hand.

"Deal" He said "Let him be!". He was sending the lieutenants a cold look. They all bowed and began walking inside of the castle. Tara could see Axel was sitting shocked at the ground, before she felt an iron hand from the king on her shoulder. He pushed her a little in the back towards the main entrance.

"Come Tara, let's go" Haou said "This will be your new home for now on".

"If you say so.. your highness" Tara said in a low voice. She took one last stolen look at Axel, before the king pushed her inside of the castle.

Ember's p.o.v.

Ember and Syrus was standing up of one of the towers close to the castle. Everyone of the guard has been occupied with the duel against the king and Jim, to notice them. Even though Ember and Syrus hadn't seen the whole duel, they had seen enough to know that Jaden was the king and that Jim got sended to the stars. They also saw when Tara saved Axel by giving up her freedom in return. They looked down at Axel who was still sitting shocked at the ground.

"This is not good" said Syrus then suddenly. Ember nodded in agreement.

"It is worse than not good Syrus" She replied "This is horrible. That's what it is". Syrus sighed and nodded. Ember sighed as well. What to do now? They just couldn't approach the king and give him an apologize now could they?! Not after what they had seen what happened to Jim. He had been honest and fighting his best, but he still couldn't change him. They would have lesser chance at that.

"So what now?" questioned Ojama yellow. Syrus shrugged. He didn't know either. Ember began thinking. She remembered what Jesse had told her about being the side character. They had important stuff to do as well. Just not like the hero.

"We are side character" said Ember and smiled a little "We are not suppose to engage the villains. We support the heroes instead, and who need our help". Syrus smiled.

"Axel" He said "Tara will be okay right? Since the king is Jaden, he would not hurt her right?". Ember nodded. She looked at Axel. He was running away from the castle now. She looked at Syrus and he nodded. Then they followed Axel.
