Unpleasant surprise?! Jim vs. the supreme king Haou. Part 1.

A,N: Here is the next chapter. Hope you like it. Is sad and a little cruel. The events are a little different because Tara is in the story, but hope you like it anyway. Please comment on what you think.

Haou's p.o.v.

Haou was sitting at his throne in the throne room and was rubbing his head. He was having an annoying headache. He was pretty angry as well. The things didn't go as well as he had planed. He had finally made Tara serve him. The king knew of course that it was because of the claustrofobia and wasn't thinking straight. She just wanted out, but she was still bound by her word to him in someway. His power worked in that way. If you accepted his offer by their free will, you were in someway connected or linked to him. Not like a mindless slave or something like that. You had your free will and could do and behave like you used to do or wanted to do. The only difference was that you could use the kings power and he could use theirs. Haou sneered. He just got Tara and then some insignificant humans stole her from him! How dare they do that! Tara belonged to him, and him only! Just like Jaden. They were his hosts. Although Jaden was a special case with that possession going on and stuff. Apros Jaden...!

"Tara!" whispered a voice inside Haou's head. The king sneered deeply. Since Tara had left with these pitiful humans, Jaden had actually woken up inside and was saying Tara's name over and over again. It gave the king an annoying headache. A knock could be heard and the door to the throne room got open. The two death duelists Chaos and Baou walked in and bowed to the evil king. Haou sneered.

"The girl?" He asked in a cold tone "The others?". The lieutenants gulped a little.

"I am sorry my king. We haven't found her just yet" He said and looked at the floor "But we are doing our very best". The king sneered angry.

"No! Not good enough!" He almost yelled "Find her! Leave no stone unturned and bring her back to me alive. Hurt her and I kill you all". The two lieutenants bowed and Haou could hear Chaos gulp. He was scared, as he should be!

"Um may I ask why this human girl is so important?" Baou then said in a casual tone "She is just a normal human right? So what makes her so special..!". This was properly not the best idea this vampire lieutenant had. The evil king was having a really bad day today. How dare he ask or in question my orders! Haou noticed the vampire was about to ask something else as well, but the king didn't let him. The room suddenly felt cold and the black smoke appeared on the ground. It wrapped around the pitiful lieutenant and dragged him towards the king. The king grabbed him by the collar and was staring cold at him with an evil glare.

"Listen you annoying pitiful vampire. I am in a really bad mood, so if I were you I would shut it. Or would you prefer me to kill you? Do you Baou?" Haou almost yelled in his face. The vampire looked terrified and shook his head.

"Nnno.. your high..ness" stuttered the vampire out in a scared tone. The evil king snort and punched the vampire in the stomach. A punishment for annoying him.

"Leave and don't show before you have the girl" Haou said coldly "If she is not back in 2 hours I will kill someone, and bring Skullknight in here!". He let go of the pitiful vampire and he and Chaos bowed and slowly backed out of the room. Seconds later they were gone. Haou sound relived and placed himself down at the throne once again. Everything was quiet and peaceful. The king felt like he could relax now. He enjoyed the peace and quiet.

"Tara!" whispered Jaden once again inside his head and destroyed it. Haou flew up from the chair and cursing and sneering a lot. That does it! He had to do something about Jaden and that headache of his. A knock could be heard on the door ones again and Skull Knight walked in. He bowed to the king as well.

"My king you called" the warrior asked and was looking down at the ground.

"Yes" the king said and got up from the throne "Send men at the east side from this castle. They have moved. The girl and her kidnappers are moving to the east now. Seize the girl. Her kidnappers, do what you want with them". Skull Knight bowed his head respectful once again. Then he looked at Haou.

"As you wish, but may I ask you why you know that my king?" the knight asked.

"No!" The king said in a cold tone "Tell everyone I will be in my room and no one dares disturb me. Even if it is important. Only if you have the girl".

"As you wish your majesty" Skull Knight replied "I will inform everyone". Haou didn't reply, nod or do anything. He only began leaving towards his room. However at the doorstep he stopped up and turned towards his lieutenant.

"One thing" he told him "Tell Boss to make an extra large portion of food. He knows what I like". The death duelist nodded and Haou left the room.

As soon as Haou was at his room, he slammed the door and locked it tightly. The servants had key to his room, so there were no worries there. He sighed deeply and walked closer into the room. His room looked almost like Tara's. The only difference was the size. It was bigger. The king was rubbing his head a little and sat down on his bed. He had to make Jaden quiet. It was annoying and it made his normally calm self irritable. He had to calm down before he could go out to get Tara. He knew exactly where she was! It was also one of these things Haou could do now since she was now linked to him. Jaden was linked to him in the same matter of course. The twins didn't know of course and Haou was not sure if he should tell them. They properly couldn't understand it anyway. The king sneered, when he could hear Jaden's voice in his head once again. Haou pushed every other thought from mind now. First things first. Jaden needed to stop! The headache had to stop! Even if it meant..! Haou was actually not fond of hurting them. His hosts! He really only did that when he felt it as a necessity. When he had no other option. The king shrugged. If Jaden would break down from this then so be it. The headache had to stop! He moved himself at the center of the bed and began to meditate. Soon he could feel his spirit move and knew he was on his way into Jaden's mind. Into that prison Haou had made for him called the "mirror room".

It was dark in here. It was really dark! The darkness was floating around like mist and the evil king smirked inside when he saw it. Nothing had really changed that much since his last visit. He did visit Jaden once in awhile. Not because he was gonna make sure his prisoner stated prisoner or something like that, but because Haou had a promise to keep. He promised Jaden would never be alone after all. Along with his wish and Haou was not a guy who broke promises. Although he could twist them into his own benefits. He couldn't fully be there all the time, but sometimes Jaden also needed space to himself. If neither of them got that, then they properly would get annoyed on each other pretty quickly. However Jaden knew Haou would be there for him even if he was not around. He would still listen to him. The king knew Jaden could live with that. Haou walked down the dark hallways of Jaden's mind. All around him was shining mirrors floating, and made light in the hallways. The king had a little smirk on his lips. He had created these mirrors. They were reflecting Jaden's heart and soul. His dreams, hopes, as well as his fears, bad memories and ups and downs in life. Haou could use the mirrors the way he wanted them to. He had after all created them, but like he mentioned before, Haou was not gonna use them without a good reason. The evil king looked around, looking for Jaden. Far away he could see a some light glowing and decided to walk over there. Haou knew Jaden was there. When he arrived at the place, he found Jaden sitting at the floor. He was looking at one of the mirrors, who was the glowing light Haou had seen. The boy was not moving a muscle and was having an almost invisible aura of darkness around him. Haou knew he was the only one who would notice it. He was even sure Tara couldn't see it. She needed a lot more practice. The king looked at the boy. Jaden hadn't noticed his presence, but Haou wasn't that surprised. Actually it would surprise him, if he would. Jaden was glued to the mirror after all as he should be. At first the king thought everything was fine, but then he noticed the glowing mirror and actually saw what Jaden was looking at. He clenched his fists a little. Jaden was looking at his sister, or more precisely memories of her. Haou knew the mirrors could show the present as well, but knew Jaden had no idea on how to use them. He was currently looking at a memory from some days ago where Tara had walked in and challenged Him. Then the picture changed, seeing a memory with Jaden and Tara dueling in the past. Different changing pictures always with memories of Jaden and Tara, or pictures of only Tara. They were changing at random. Haou sneered. So that was why he was having a headache. The king had just thought that thought, when Jaden actually opened his mouth and said "Tara", but this time added the words "My sister" as well. Haou sneered again. He had to stop him! He walked over to Jaden and touched his shoulder. Jaden didn't react. The king figured he wouldn't. He bowed down and placed his mouth near the boy's ear.

"Jaden I am back!" he whispered . Jaden instantly reacted. He turned his head toward Haou. As he did, the mirror stopped glowing and the pictures of Tara disappeared. Haou took a look at the boy. Jaden was having a distant look in his eyes, and they were amber gold, just like Haou's. The boy looked at the evil king and after some seconds tears were falling down his cheeks. He let out a cry.

"Haou" he said slowly "Haou! Tara!". Then he tossed himself at the king's chest. Haou was not even surprised by that though. Jaden always did that as way of comfort from his aching heart and feelings who was suffusing inside of him. It was with these emotions Haou used to control him and his body with. He looked at the crying boy.

"Haou.. Tara!" Jaden repeated and then continued "I need her. I miss her. I want to protect her". Haou nodded a little. He needed to keep Jaden's trust.

"Yes Jaden.. but can you do it?" He asked in a monotone voice. He could feel Jaden shake while hugging him. The king knew what that was. It was fear!

"I.. I can't!" Jaden said in a low voice and shook wildly his head. He began to mumble "I am a failure, I am nothing! I am pathetic and weak! I don't deserve to be her brother". Then Jaden let out a big cry. The king smirked evilly inside.

"Yes you are" he said in a low voice, but he knew Jaden heard him. He was listening to almost everything he said. "You are weak!". Jaden let out a cry again.

"I am weak" he repeated "But my sister..Tara?". Haou bit his lip. She was still on his mind? He made Jaden let go of him and they were looking eye to eye now.

"She is gonna stay safe with me Jaden" Haou then said "I am gonna protect her for you". Jaden eyes widened a little, but then to Haou's surprise, Jaden shook his head.

"No.. I need.. to be.. the one" Jaden stuttered out "I.. promised her, I would protect her". The evil king was actually surprised by these words. Jaden was beginning to get his will back. He was actually fighting to get free. He knew that was gonna happen sooner or later, but Haou also knew Jaden wasn't ready yet. He was not ready to be free. The king sneered inside. He had to do this! He placed an arm around Jaden's neck and walked with him over to one of the mirrors.

"Are you sure Jaden?" He asked in a cold voice and touched one of the mirrors "Last time you tried to protect her, you failed". Jaden eyes widened and his face expressed true horror. He was shaking in fear once again as well. Haou had called fought one of the memories from the past. One with Tara. She was in coma after the duel with Aster. The events with the light at their second school year. The king bowed down and placed his hands at Jaden's shoulders, so he was sure he didn't turn away from this. However Jaden was frozen in place and didn't move a muscle.

"You didn't help her, and you didn't protect her" Haou whispered him in the ear "You just hurt her". He changed the picture. Tara's lifeless body after the duel with Sartorius. He made sure only to show the cruel side to this. Never the reason why Tara was like this. He was making sure Jaden didn't remember and was messing with his memories. Tears felt down Jaden's cheeks now. His eyes were glued to the mirror. Haou changed it again. Tara's crying face, when she was kidnapped as a child. It was the only memory he didn't mess up. He knew Jaden remembered how he had found his sister again. Her crying eyes when she had hugged him and he had reassured her he was gonna protect her from now on. A promise he couldn't keep.

"See, you didn't protect her and couldn't protect her" Haou said "You only hurt her. You and Yubel". Jaden let out another cry.

"I..I hurt her" He said in a whispering voice "I am terrible, I hurt her!". Haou nodded and removed his hands. Jaden sniffed.

"Yes you did" the king whispered "You let her down and she hates you for it".

"She hates me" Jaden repeated and squeezed his own hands tightly now "But.. even so.. I.. I need to keep my promise to her". Haou nodded.

"I can fulfil your promise for you Jaden" he said in his monotone voice. Jaden instantly turned towards the evil king. He sniffed a little again.

"You would do that Haou?" Jaden said in a low voice "You would protect Tara?".

"For a small price.. Yes! Yes I would" The king replied in a cold tone. Jaden looked at him and wiped his tears away from his face. He looked determined at the king.

"I.. I will do everything" He then said "Just tell me what to do". Haou snort.

"Give me a piece of your will Jaden" He said "A piece of your soul. It is a little piece compared to your sister Tara's safety after all. Just take my hand if you accept. If you do I will promise you to protect her from every harm". Jaden didn't even hesitate here. As soon as Haou had told him what to do, Jaden had walked quickly over to him and just taken his hand. The king was smirking evilly inside. He could feel a little piece of Jaden's will and soul slowly flew over to him and Haou could feel himself getting stronger. At the same time Jaden's will grew weaker. Haou let go of the boy a minute after and Jaden fell to the ground. He was once again crying and was mumbling all sort of stuff to himself. The king couldn't quite hear it all. Secondly he didn't care. He decided to leave this place and left the crying and mumbling Jaden at the floor. He woke up in his room once again. Now to fulfil my end of the deal. I need to find Tara and keep her safe. His stomach was suddenly rumbling. A big plate of food was standing on the desk. Haou knew the chef of the kitchen had been in here. The servants knew, they never had to disturb him when he was meditating. Okay first something to eat and then find Tara!

Tara's p.o.v.

In a cave, some place in this dimension, was Jim, Axel and Tara sitting. They were resting for the night. They were eating some pieces of fruits who was one of the few things they could eat right now. It wasn't because they hadn't the supplies for it. No that was not it at all. The reason was that most of the food they currently had, should be made by fire and they couldn't afford of risking a camp fire. The supreme king's soldiers were on their tail constantly these days. Axel sighed and looked at Jim. Shirley was not in her backpack, but was resting close to Tara, but her instincts was as sharp as ever. It was because of Shirley they haven't been caught yet. Axel sneered once again and tossed the apple core in the cave somewhere.

"We can't live like this Jim" He stated "This is a do or die situation here. Or more like a death situation here. Wherever we go or do, the king will win in the end". Jim sighed and padded Shirley. Tara looked guilty down in the ground now.

"Yeah I most admit I thought we had shaken the king of us by now" Jim replied and sighed "I guessed two or three days low profile would do the trick, but..".

"It is because of me isn't it" Tara interrupted them "The king! The spirit who has taken over Jaden's body wants me back. Just because I wield his powers as well. Just like my brother". She sighed deeply and padded Shirley. Axel looked at her.

"I am not gonna lie, but that is properly the case" He said "However I have no idea how he does this. Knowing where we are. I wonder why he hasn't shown up himself though, since you are so important to him". Jim placed himself near Tara and Shirley. He was padding his Shirley on the back and was trying to relax. Just a little.

"Well we should be grateful he hasn't" the australian said "He gives me the shivers". Tara looked surprised at Jim. She was scared of the king, but that was mostly because she knew what he could do to her. She was not scared like Jim and Axel apparently was. Just being in his presence made them tremble a little.

"Yeah, but him not showing makes me feel uneasy" Axel told them "Like the calm before the storm. You do remember the village right?". Tara nodded. They had been on the way to a village a day ago, but when they arrived they found only ruins. Axel and Jim knew the village was there the day before. They had noticed it, but not entered it. The day after, ruins. Tara had a feeling this was the king's warning to them. Mostly because one of her old cards were found there as well. Either the king himself or some soldiers had been here and done this, and then tossed the card as a warning. Jim and Axel decided not to go near any villages for the time being after this. Tara sighed deeply. She looked at the two males.

"Why aren't you just giving me up then" she asked "The king would stop chasing you two. I can take care of..".

"Forget it" they both actually said in unison and Jim continued "Tara we are not abandoning our friends for our own benefits. We learn our lesson. We already did that to Jaden and look what that brought us mate. He being taken over by the king".

"I still don't understand why you two believe Jaden is possessed" Axel said "It could be an imposter or Jaden could really have changed his ways". Jim sighed.

"Believe me it is the real Jaden, and he is taken over by something" He replied.

"You say that, and I sort of understand Tara's explanation, being his twin, but how can you be so sure Jim" Axel asked. Jim sighed deeply. Tara now also looked over at him. Now that Axel mentioned it, why did Jim know? When Tara told them what happened, Axel had been skeptical, where Jim had believed every word from the get go. Why was that? Jim looked at Tara and padded Shirley a little.

"Well I think you two need an explanation" Jim said slowly "You have heard these theories that people have an inner spirit. A spirit who never goes away".

"Yeah" began Axel and his eyes widened "Wait you are telling me you can see inner spirits". Tara looked surprised at him too. Jim smiled a little and nodded.

"I kind of can, with my true eye" He said and placed a hand at the bandage over his face "Like when I first meet you and Jaden Tara. I could see you both were honest good people. Like when you two connected to Shirley. It is sort of these connections I see". Tara's eyes widened a lot. She had never heard of that kind of power and she had seen all kinds of weird things. She looked at Jim.

"So when you saw the king before we escaped. What did you see?" She questioned.

"Yeah well here is the interesting part. When I took a look at Jaden.. It is a little hard to describe.. but well I saw two spirits instead of one. The lighter one was weak and not moving at all, while the other was dark and strong" He explained "You see one look at people and I kind of know their true essence. People always hide their two intentions after all, but I can get passed all that.. it is like I can see how a real person is". Tara and Axel looked at Jim. He began telling them a story.

Jim's flashback.

Jim was a young boy at that time, but he was still friends with Shirley. He was walking around in the terrain and was destroying traps from some poachers. He had just activated one of the bear traps with a stick, when Jim noticed Shirley walking towards him. Sadly not noticing another bear trap, on her way over to him. Jim jumped up and tried to stop her, but the ground was messy and slippery. It made him and Shirley glide down the cliff they were at and down a stream. Jim got his eye really damaged at that time. He of course fell unconscious as well. When he woke up, he found Shirley resting beside him near someone's camp fire. Jim was feeling weird. He was seeing everything in some weird different light.

"Well, well you are awake" said a voice suddenly and Jim saw an old man on the other side of the fire. He was looking at him.

"I saw what you did" the old man said. Jim looked confused at him.

"What did you mean, with what I did. Who are you?" he began and felt an intense pain running through his body. His eye! Something was wrong with it.

"The bandage must stay on until the time is right" the man said. Jim sneered confused.

"What do you mean? What did you do to my eye?" he questioned.

"Do not worry" the man said "All will be okay. I saw you aid your friend. You put your own life at risk". Jim smiled and padded Shirley. He would do anything for her. The man nodded.

"That is why you are worthy of the sacred eye. The eye of orichalcum" he told little Jim "It is an eye forged long ago and it provides its owner to see the good and evil in a person. I have been looking for someone to pass it onto for quite some times. This eye will help you to save a dear friend in need, but until the right time arrives, you must keep it covered".

"Um when will I know, when the time is right then?" Jim asked and padded Shirley a little.

"Behold" the old man said and looked up in the sky. Jim noticed a comet up there "The comet above travels to many worlds. Next time you see it, you will know the time is near. And only when a comet's tail turns towards you, you will know what needs to be done. That is when you will remove the bandages that covers your eye". Jim looked confused at the man, but he was not gonna ask questions about that, since the old man did save his life.

"A prophecy follows with that eye and the world, young boy" the man suddenly said "But I am old and I sadly only remember the important things about the eye, but listen closely". Jim looked at him, but nodded. He listened very carefully.

"When the tidal changes and a comet turns, a friend walks lost and the rise of a king will begin. Two souls torned, and a bandage will fall. The eye sees the truth. A friend shows us the way!". As the old man said the two last lines, he slowly began disappearing and left Jim and Shirley alone back at the campfire.

"...Tidal changes and a comet turns, a friend walks lost, two souls torned and the bandage falls. The eye sees the truth, and a friend shows us the way" Jim ended his story with "I always thought the old man was crazy, but now that the pieces fit..". Jim sighed deeply. Tara looked at him. The old man in the story had talked about a prophecy? Maybe it was the one Sartorius had spoken about too. At that time in the mansion in season two, just before she got brainwashed. He said her and Jaden was the chosen one from the prophecy, but Tara actually never heard any words from it. Maybe the things the old man said, was somehow related. She looked at Jim again.

"So um you knew someone was lost as soon as you appeared in this world?" Tara questioned "And if you knew that, why didn't you do something when you saw Jaden's two spirits. The dark strong one must be the king and the lighter my brother. Why?". Jim sighed deeply and looked up at the ceiling of the cave.

"I want to.. but at that time" Jim paused and sighed "At that time everything was chaos. Axel had saved you. We found out Jaden was the king.. then 5 lieutenants was there. I must admit I was not fully sure what to do". Tara snort but sighed again.

"Tiddle changed and a comet turns" Jim mumbled "That already happened. The tiddle changed as soon as we ended up in this world with the army. The comet turned some days ago. Torn souls and bandaged falls. The souls are representing you as twins right mate". He looked at Tara. She nodded slowly. It could only be her and Jaden. They were torned. She couldn't feel him as long as he was sharing the body with Haou. She was torn and confused as well overall these changes around them. Just like Jaden in someway. She wondered if either one of them would recover from this. Jaden being the king's prisoner and her seeing all these things happening.

"So what are you gonna do Jim" she asked slowly "Like Axel said, we can't live like this. This is the first hours of rest we had in days now". Jim smiled at her.

"We still have one option. We can go to the source and rip up the roots of evil" He said "I know what I must do anyway. I have to duel the king and try freeing Jaden. He is my friend after all. I just can't let him hanging". Tara eyes widened. Then she smiled and hugged Jim deeply.

"Oh thank you! Thank you, thank you" she said "I want my brother free from the king so badly. It pains me to see his body being used like that. Jaden is not evil".

"That is fine and all" Axel said and coughed "But you two are forgetting something. The castle and the places nearby will be filled soldiers. I don't think they have sloppy security any longer". Jim and Tara stopped up and looked him. Jim sneered.

"Yeah they would never let me and Axel go if they caught us mate" He said and sighed "I didn't think of that". Tara looked thoughtful for a minute.

"Maybe you actually could. I have an idea on how we could arrive in the castle in one piece with all our strength" She then said "But you must promise me you will then try to set my brother free". Jim looked surprised at her, but nodded. Tara sighed.

"Okay then listen up" she said "I got a plan".

Time skip.

Tara's plan had succeeded. It was not really a difficult plan at all. Axel had just tied her up like last time and brought her with them, like he did when escaped. However this time they were driving back to the kings castle. When they arrived close at it, everything was like Axel had explained. The place was filled with soldiers and there were really tight security. They did however use Tara's plan and could actually walk through the security of guards. Axel was keeping Tara pretty close to him, with a activated duel disk and threatened the army to move aside or he would kill her on the spot. As Tara had guessed, the army actually did that. She knew the king wanted her back alive, but Tara thought at least some of the lesser monsters in the army didn't know that. She was wrong. Apparently everyone in the army referred to her as the king's little treasure. Axel had pointed the risk out in this plan before they left. That if they got captured or if they lost to the king, she would end back there. Back with the king. Tara was of course not fond of that, but she had made up her mind. If Jim was willing to risk himself and duel the king, then she would do the same. They went through the rest of army pretty easy. They were letting them pass, knowing they were walking towards the king and saw it as pointless to capture them, since they were walking towards the king anyways. Some minutes after they arrived at the bridge to the main gate. Tara remembered this place. She had after all walked up her and attacked the castle all by herself first time she was here. She looked down below the bridge and saw the lava beneath them. She gulped a little and hoped Jim and Axel would never end down there. She looked at Jim and hoped he really could save Jaden.

"Supreme king!" yelled Jim out loud "If you can hear me, then come on out!". At first nothing happened. The place was as silence as a grave. Then suddenly out of the blue, 5 duel monsters appeared. Tara knew them. It was Haou's pitiful lieutenants.

"Well, well well, look who we have here" said Chaos and smirked "The two cowards from before". The other lieutenants laughed at his reply.

"Oh and they even brought the girl back" Skull Knight said and smiled "The king would be pleased". The others nodded in agreement.

"Do you think the king will torture them, before he sends them to the stars" Baou asked and smiled maliciously "I really would love to see that". Tara sneered in a low voice and hoped the lieutenants didn't hear it. After all, who would sneer at their supposedly saviors?! Jim sneered loudly as well.

"Take a hike boys, we are not here for you. I am here to negotiate with your king" He told them "I have something he wants". The death duelists all began mumbling and talking to each other. Apparently they were disgusting which one of them should go and disturb the king. However one minute, maybe even lesser the door to the main gate opened and Haou alias the supreme king walked out. He was looking around and when he noticed Tara and the others.. Tara blinked a little. Was he smiling? But when she looked at him again, she could only see his emotionless face expression. She wondered if she had imagined it. Haou was glaring coldly at Jim and Axel however. There was no mistake by that.

"You took something that is mine" Haou said in an icy cold voice "Have you realised that you took something who doesn't belong to you? I hope so for your own good!". Tara gulped a little. Jim and Axel actually still shook their heads which made the king glare even colder at them.

"We are here to make a deal supreme king" Jim said and pointed at Tara "We duel and if I win, you will leave my friend Jaden's body and free Tara from her 'deal' with you". Haou frowned. He was looking at Tara and then at Jim again.

"And what's in it for me?!" He asked coldly. Tara looked from each of the males now.

"You will get the girl if you win.." began Jim, but Haou quickly interrupted.

"That is not enough!" He sneered "The boy is as important to me as the girl, but how about this human. If I win, you will become duel fuel for my card and then sent to the stars, and the girl becomes mine again". Tara looked in horror. What in the world was duel fuel? Jim and Axel looked at the king and then over at her. She figured they were thinking about the risk and if it was worth it. Haou had in the meantime being looking at her. She could feel his cold amber eyes stare at her. Then Jim sighed.

"You got yourself a deal your highness" he said "Let's duel!". They both activated their duel disk and the duel began.

Jim: 4000Lp.

Haou: 4000Lp.

"I am the challenger, so I will start off your highness" Jim told the king and drew. Haou didn't say a thing and didn't complain, so Tara figured he was okay with it. Jim summoned his monster "Shell knight" to the field in def mode and as he did, it's eff activated. When it was succesfully summoned, his opponents got blasted with 500 points of damage. Haou didn't move or say a thing, when the attack hit. It was like he wasn't affected at all. Jim sneered and placed a card face down and ended his turn.

"Not bad Jim" Axel commented "He made some damage and set up some defense". Tara and Axel was standing in the background, behind Jim. Axel had his hand at the end of the leach to Tara's rope and for safety matters, it was tied to strop in Axel's pants. Tara could hear the lieutenants grin at the sidelines. They stated Jim's move was pathetic and if he was playing like that, this wouldn't take long for the king. Tara herself was not sure of anything. She could faintly remember the duel with Haou. She had been so angry at that time after all. She just hoped Jim would be careful. Suddenly she could feel some eyes stare at her, and noticed that Haou once again was looking at her. That didn't make Tara feel better about this duel at all.

"Tara" Haou then suddenly said "Look closely! I will show you my full power, so you know what you can do and know what happens if you ever betray me!". Tara gulped. The king drew used the spell "Dark Fusion" Tara remembered from her duel. He fusion summoned "E.H inferno wing" to the field, but as he did, Tara, Jim, and Axel got hit by a black forceful wind. Tara remembered him doing that in her duel, but the force was maybe 5 or maybe even 10 times stronger. Had he gone easy on me in the duel? However Tara was worried. If the wind felt so strong in the background, then Tara couldn't imagine how Jim must be feeling this right now.

"Go inferno wing" said Haou "Attack this worm, with inferno blast". The monster attacked Jim. He tried to activate his trap, but because of dark fusion, his monster couldn't get targeted by any monster eff, spell or trap cards. Jim's trap got destroyed and because of Haou's monster's eff and piercing damage, he lost 2100 life points. Tara looked in horror when Jim fell down on one knee. The lieutenants were laughing at him. Tara wished she could go over and smash some sense into them. However suddenly Jim got up once again, and while he did, the bandage fell off, revealing a fossil kind of plate, covering where his eye normally should have been, and in it was a magic glass orb of some sort. It was the size of a marble. Tara gasped. That must be the eye Jim had been talking about. The eye of orichalcum!

"Jaden" said Jim then "I know you are in there Jay, I see you! The real you! You are afraid. You are hiding, because you feel bad about something, but there is no reason to hide any longer". Tara looked surprised at him. Jim was looking up at the comet and a little while later, his eye had someway absorbed some of the comet's powers and now made the eye glow red. The prophecy was running through her head. Tidal changes and a comet turns, a friend walks lost, two souls torned and the bandage falls. The eye sees the truth, and a friend shows us the way. Maybe the prophecy was true after all. Maybe Jim could free her brother?!

"The eye of orichalcum, is at last revealed" Jim said and looked at Haou alias Jaden "I see you my dear friend. The king keeps you trapped, but I will set you free". Then a glowing red light appeared and Tara, as well as the others around them, had to close their eyes. The light was shining really brightly.
