Adrian's p.o.v.

After walking endlessly around in the hallways of the school, Adrian returned to the library. He sighed deeply. He couldn't find the creepy arm thing anywhere. However when he arrived inside the library, he could see that some light was lit up a little away from where he was. Adrian walked closer and saw a kid, sitting on a throne and candles were lit around him. Adrian walked closer. 

"Aren't you that kid Marcel?!" He asked "What are you doing here?!". Marcel looked up at Adrian and smirked. 

"Not anymore!" Marcel said and his voice sounded like he was speaking with two voices. His accent was gone as well "Surprised Adrian! It is me?!". Adrian looked in horror when Marcel moved his new found cape and showed him the creepy arm, attached to Marcel's left arm. 

"Wait you are that creature from the tank?!" Adrian questioned "What in the world did you do to the boy! And second we had a deal! You promised me that you will share all your power with me! So what gives!". The boy grinned a little. 

"Nothing has changed Adrian!" Marcel said "I can still give you the power you desire! All I require is that you follow my every command! As for the boy, well he was the perfect host for me! I possessed him so to speak!". Adrian looked in horror again. Then he looked at Marcel again. 

"I do not have a choice here do I!" Adrian said and sighed. Marcel grinned. 

"Well you have!" He said "However if you refuge, there is no power and no beloved Ember!". Adrian sighed. He nodded a little. If he had take orders from this creature to get Ember and the power! Then so be it!

Ember's p.o.v.

Ember was looking at the line of students who was assembled in the gym. 4 tables with boxes of food and water was placed in the middle of the gyms. Syrus, Alexis, Dorothea and her helper Sadie, was behind the tables, giving food to everyone. Ember was holding a tray as well, however she was not here on her own behalf. She was here because Fortaine had asked her to take some food for the sick once. Blair, Tara, Bastion, Adrian (Ember sneered) and Jaden, who was not gonna leave Tara's side. Ember looked at the line. The sick could get food first, but Ember was not thrilled by going into the crowd all by herself. Jesse was not even with her. He was on the morning patrol. Watching the school for any duel spirits. Ember just took a deep breath. Come on Courage! I can do this! Ember took another breath and walked into the crowd and pushed all the students away. If she asked nicely, Ember was sure all her courage would leave her. She was standing in front of Dorothea. 

"Um food for the sick bay!" Ember said slowly "I have a note from Fortaine!". 

"Oh good! Lets see 6 breads coming up! Fortaine forgot herself!" Dorothea said and placed 6 small breads and 6 small water bottles on the trey. "Oh and don't forget yourself!". She placed one bread on Ember's trey. The other students, who sadly only had one bread and bottle, began arguing. They wanted as much food as Ember! Stating she is cheating and in a minute, she would eat them all herself. Ember just sighed. The students were pretty angry, and Ember understood why. The had to ration their food. Ember looked down and saw Farao. They didn't even have enough for the cat. However Ember quickly got out of the gym, before the students attacked her, because they wanted more food. She rushed towards the infirmary.

Tara's p.o.v.

"I.. I can do this!" mumbled Tara and placed the crutches in front of her. Then she took a step. And then another one, and another one. Fortaine had given her the crutches, and warned her not to walk to much on the strained foot of hers for today. Tara had sighed deeply, but in the end accepted that she had to train retrain it. Jaden was sitting at a chair beside Bastion's bed and was keeping an watchful eye. Tara didn't actually care. If she learns to jump on one leg with solid balance, when she could properly slam the bad duel monster spirit with the crutches. Tara stopped up at Blair's bed. Fortaine was examine her, but Tara knew that she couldn't do a thing for her. Blair had a really high fever, from that weird scratch mark. Tara knew, because she had touched Blair's forehead. That and that she was gasping after air all the time. Tara took another step, back to Jaden and Bastion. Jaden looked worried at her and moved himself from the chair so Tara could sit down. She was kind of happy he did, since she was a little tired. Bastion sighed a little. 

"I am worried about Blair!" said Bastion "The school doesn't have the proper resources to treat her!". Jaden looked over at Blair and nodded. Then he looked at Tara as well. She only snort a little. 

"Jaden! Now you are too overprotected!" Tara said inside his head "I am fine! If any monster attacks me, I will slam them down with the crutches!". Jaden sighed. He didn't reply, but Tara knew he had heard her. Bastion sighed too.

"If we were in the real world a normal hospital could properly treat her!" Bastion said "Yeah!" added Tara "But sadly we are not!". Jaden nodded.

"I just hope others don't get that ill as well!" Jaden said and sighed "Poor Blair! I still have no idea what attacked her that night!". Tara nodded. She didn't either. Suddenly Fortaine walked over to them and sighed. Jaden asked about Blair's condition. 

"I am sadly out of all the medicine I need to treat her!" She said in a sad tone "So if you know a first aid kit with all these things, then call me!". She gave Jaden a list. 

Suddenly the door to the infirmary got open and Ember walked in with a trey full with food. Or at first Tara thought that, but when she is found out she share it with all of them in here, then she changed her mind. However she took her bread and water and slowly began eating. Jaden did the same thing. Ember walked around and gave the others their food as well. Bastion was the only one who wasn't eating. Tara looked at him. Bastion had that look again. That look when he was thinking a lot. Then..

"I know where we can find a first aid kit!" he yelled and the others looked shocked at him "A submarine! On my way here I saw a submarine! It got to have a first aid kit". Tara looked surprised at him. Then she smiled. Jaden did the same thing. The twins were about to say something, when suddenly a scream filled the air and Adrian was rushing through the room. He was followed by a human sized warrior bird, who was swinging around with its sword. 5 seconds later Ember was rushing after them.

"Haya! Haya! Don't kill him!" yelled Ember "Please just stop!". 

"Help!" yelled Adrian actually and was running for his life. He was trying to run out of the room, but Haya was to fast for him. The others gasped. 

"How dare you hug my lady, when she doesn't want to!" Haya screamed at Adrian. However Ember was standing in front of Haya now and sighed.

"Haya!" she said "Go back into your card again! Adrian catched the message! So where is your honor as a knight! Adrian doesn't have a weapon!". Haya looked at her and sighed. It dropped its sword and bowed to Ember.

"Keep this monster away from me!" yelled Adrian angry "Why did you summon that anyway Ember?!". Ember snort coldly back, but didn't say a thing. Haya looked coldly at Adrian as well, then back at Ember.

"As you wish my lady" it said and sighed "But can't I just hit him a little bit! He deserves it!".Ember just shook her head. Haya got up on its feets. 

"As you wish my lady! But know this boy!" it suddenly yelled at Adrian "If you ever forces my lady to do anything, she doesn't want to do, in that forceful way, I will be back!". Then Haya disappeared into its card. Adrian sneered a little.

"I need fresh air!" He just said and left the room some minutes later, however they could hear him mumble "Stupid spirit", before he left. Ember sighed and walked over to the others. Tara and the others just looked at her.

"What?!" said Ember defensive "I didn't summon Haya! It summoned itself! Just like your two spirits!". She was looking at the twins when she said that. Tara smiled. 

"I didn't say a thing!" Tara said "But I am wondering why you didn't let Haya attack him just a little!". Ember snort and then smiled. 

"I really wanted too to, but I have my Honor! I am not like Adrian! I am not hurting Adrian and that's final!" Ember said. Tara smiled and looked at the others.

"So about that submarine!" She said. Jaden nodded in agreement.

"Let's assemble a team and go down there!" Jaden said "Do you think Crowler would let us go!". Tara frowned. Properly..

Time skip.

"Absolutely not!" yelled Crowler "I am in charge here, and I say that no one goes anywhere!". Tara sighed. They were assembling in the office. Since Tara didn't want to be left out of this conversation, Jaden had piggybacked her once again. He had nothing against that actually. However she was sitting in a chair, listening. Ember was right beside her. Jesse, Jim, Axel, Alexis, Hassleberry and Syrus was in here as well. They were all trying to change his mind. Jaden said that they needed the first aid kit for Blair. Axel told him, that he didn't have to go, they would, and that they couldn't be lost. He was gonna change the school notebooks devices, so it was sending a signal, to one another. Like a mark on a land card. However Crowler still didn't want to let them go. It was first when Bonaparte rushed in here and was blabbing about this student Marcel. Tara lifted a eyebrow. They have a dozen of students, why was he only carrying about Marcel. In the end they got the green light to go down to the sub. Tara was as happy as the others, however when they were about to leave, Jaden, he piggybacked her of course once again, grabbed Hassleberry and walked inside an empty classroom. Hassleberry and Tara was both confused. Jaden placed her down at the floor again. He was looking at Hassleberry now. 

"Hassleberry may I ask you for a favor!" He asked slowly "I am only trusting you for this task!". Hassleberry saluted quickly to Jaden. 

"Yes sir, sarge sir!" He said with a voice full of respect "What favor sir!". 

"Well take care of Tara for me!" He said "I am going to the sub and you stay behind and protect her!". Hassleberry nodded. Tara looked shocked at her brother. 

"Hey! But I want to come with you!" yelled Tara angry and crossed her arms "We always stick together! I will not be left behind! I can fight as well!". Jaden sighed. 

"Tara! I knew you would say that!" Jaden said and sighed "But it is better that you stay here! With Hassleberry! You are more safe here!". Tara snort angry at him.

"I don't need protection! I can take care of myself! I don't need a someone to protect me!" Tara said angry and turned her back at Jaden. Jaden sighed.

"Oh really!" He said "Well then take 10 steps towards me, without the crutches!". Jaden walked a little backwards. Tara snort and got up and took a step. Intense pain rushed through her body, but she was stubborn and kept going. She actually walked over to Jaden and took his hand, while smirking a little. 

"See I could do it!" she said. Jaden looked at her and touched her forehead a little.

"Yep and the sweat from your forehead and pained look on your face, doesn't prove a thing, does it!" Jaden said and sighed "Tara this is the painful truth! You will be a burden to me if you comes with me. You will only slow us down! Do you want that!". Tara sneered a little and sighed.

"No I don't want to..but I! Fine I will stay behind!" Tara said and slammed Jaden's chest a little "But you dare die on that mission Jaden! Just because I am not with you! You hear me!". Jaden nodded and hugged her a little.

"Yeah I promise!" Jaden said "It is only a trip to sub and back again! What can possible happen?!". She hugged him back. She hoped he would return back safely. 

Ember's p.o.v.

Ember was standing at the entry to the main gate together with Jesse, Jaden, Jim and Axel. It was the group who had been selected to go down to the submarine, to get the first aid kit and everything else useful down there. Chazz, Syrus, Alexis, Hassleberry and Tara was staying behind to protecting duel academy. Ember was actually surprised that Tara was standing behind. She knew Tara couldn't walk, but she had figured Tara was to stubborn to admit that. Ember looked at Jaden. He had a sad look on his face now. Properly not liking the idea of leaving his sister behind either. He had walked over to Hassleberry once again and said something, Hassleberry had nodded and Jaden had returned back to the group. Ember looked at him. 

"What was that about Jaden?!" she asked. Jaden smiled a little sad smile. 

"Well I made Hassleberry protect Tara until I return, and I was only making sure he knew the consequences! Thats all!" Jaden said. Jesse, who was standing beside Ember, lifted an eyebrow. 

"It sounds like you were actually threatening him a little bit!" Jesse replied. 

"Yeah I kind of was! I told him Tara's safety was more important than anything!" Jaden said and sighed "And that I would not be happy, if I returned and something had happened to her!". Jesse and Ember looked at him. They were a little worried. 

"Jaden! Your sister is strong she can take care of herself!" Jesse said "She is your twin you know!". Jaden smiled and nodded. 

"I know! I just can't shake this feeling off me that something will happen!" Jaden said "And I made a vow to myself to protect her! I am after all the reason she got kidnapped as a child!" He mumbled but Ember catched it. Jaden suddenly just smiled and began walking forward. 

"Let's go guys!" He said, however they were stopped by Adrian. He requested to come with as well. He told them he was much better and since Jesse saved his life he wanted to return the favor. Ember and the other looked at him. 

"We just had a fight and now you want to replay the favor?!" questioned Jesse skeptical. Adrian had a quick look on Ember, before looking at Jesse. 

"Well as a part of the Gecko family, we always pays what we owes them! Even though this is you Jesse!" he said coldly. Ember sighed. She knew his pride was hurt. In the end the others agreed to let him come with them. They all walked towards the submarine. 

Normal p.o.v.

At the top of the building was Marcel standing and he was watching the group who was about to leave towards the submarine. He saw when Adrian arrived as well and asked if he could come with him. Marcel smiled. Adrian was doing what he had ordered him to do. To watch Jaden's every move. Marcel was not worried that the others wouldn't agree to it. He knew Jaden was too good of a heart, to turn down the request, even if Ember and Jesse didn't want to. However to his surprise, Ember and Jesse didn't say that he couldn't come with them. Ember didn't say a thing and Jesse, even though he was sceptical, had let Adrian come with them without other questions.Those foolish children! They didn't know easy they were making it for him now! Marcel thought and smiled. He noticed that Adrian was looking up at the roof, where he was standing. Marcel knew Adrian was not thrilled to follow his orders, but right now Marcel didn't care. The group began leaving. Marcel smirked. Then suddenly he was concentrating. On that devil arm thing appeared now a duel disk. It was a creepy one of that kind. He took out a card from his deck and placed it on the disk. It was the monster card "Rock spirit".  

"Now to send Jaden a little welcome present!" He said and grinned. 

Ember's p.o.v.

The group continued through the desert. The sun was hot, there were only sand in sight beside some rock formations around them, however Ember didn't complain at all. First of all, because she didn't want to show the boys that she was too weak (which she of course wasn't). She could hear Adrian begin with one of his lectures about, "what did I tell you", and "of course you are not cut out to this, you are a girl". Ember had a feeling that was the whole reason Adrian had decided to go with them in the first place. If it stood to him, she should be at duel academy and be more lady like and do as she was told. Yeah Ember was not gonna do that! Not in her lifetime if she could be free from it. Funny enough Jesse had not said anything either, when she told the group she wanted to come with them. He had just shrugged and said something like "If that what you want!" or something like that. The second reason was because they all in the group had turned down Jaden's idea of summoning monsters from the deck and just fly to the submarine. Jesse had told him that the bio band would drain to much energy, and that they only should use their deck as a last resort. Jaden had murmured a little bit. Something about that they wasn't fair at all. However then Winged Kuriboh showed up and cheered him up. It didn't want to go away again either and stayed with Jaden as a trusted partner. Ember sighed a little. She was looking behind her. Adrian and Jesse was just behind her. Jesse of course closer, but he was glaring at Adrian for some stupid reason. Adrian was doing the same thing but they didn't say anything to each other. Ember sighed again. She actually wished she could take Jesse's hand a little, but with Adrian there, being her fiance and all, even though she didn't want him. However she knew Adrian was not gonna let that slide. 

"Well um Ember may I hold your hand?!" asked Adrian all of the sudden. He was standing at her other side and was holding a hand towards her. Ember snort. 

"Why do you want to hold my hand all of the sudden?!" she asked. Adrian smiled. 

"I am your fiance, can I at least hold your hand!" He asked. Ember sighed a little. 

"Fine!" she said and took his hand "But only because you for once is asking nicely!". Adrian actually smiled a little and was walking slowly through the desert with her. Ember didn't notice the sad look on Jesse's face. They had walked a little further, Axel had tossed the school notebook devices, when Shirley let out a little growl. However Jim catched it quickly.

"Hurry your guys, hide behind that rock!" He said "Something is coming!". They all quickly rushed over to the rock. As soon as they did that, a big duel monster appeared from benide the sand. Ember was sure it was the monster card called "Sand stone". It was a big monster made out of stone, looking like a dino with giant claws. Jaden and Jim was discussing who should go out and kill it. No one actually want to do that. They didn't want to lose their energy. Luckily the monster began to dig underneath the sand again and disappeared. Ember sighed relieved. 

Time skip. 

They finally could see the submarine now. It was in plain sight, about meters or a kilometer from them. Jaden was all happy going. Ember sometimes wondered where he got the energy and wondered why Tara could deal with him sometimes. 

"The sub!" Jaden said and began running towards it "Come on you guys!". 

"No Jaden wait!" yelled Jim suddenly. However it was too late. A giant sand crater appeared out of nowhere and Jaden fell in of course. He was rushing down towards some hole in the other end. Ember didn't want to know where that hole lead to. Axel however tied himself with a rope and gave Adrian the other end and jumped down to save Jaden. He of course grabbed him and now they were hanging around, waiting for Adrian to get them up. However there was a little problem. Suddenly out of the blue, a giant rock appeared, and on it was a duel monster spirit. Ember was sure it was called the "Rock spirit". It was grinning evilly at them. 

"You have all traveled in my sacred domain!" It said "Now one of you has to pay the ultimate price! So who will duel me!". Ember looked in horror. Jesse and her was the only ones who could duel. Jim was helping Adrian to get them up from the hole, however that was not possible before someone had beaten that rock spirit. 

"I will take you one!" said Jesse and was about to ready his duel disk. However Ember placed a arm in front of him. She activated her duel disk and was staring at the spirit. Jesse looked surprised at her. So did the others.

"I will take him on!" Ember said "I haven't dueled at all yet and Jesse you dueled yesterday! Me and Haya will take it from here!". Adrian snort a little.

"Ember! You can't duel him! You don't know how much it hurts when you get attacked out here! It is too dangerous! Let Jesse duel!" He said and looked at her. However suddenly a hand was placed on Ember's shoulders. She looked up and saw Jesse smiling at her. Then he grinned and pointed at the spirit. 

"Ember will be your opponent! And you are in for a treat! Ember is a fierce warrior! No one of you spirits can beat her!" He scream. The rock spirit sneered. 

"Is that so?!" He said coldly "Well then I have to beat her, and when I am finished with the girl you are next boy!". He pointed at Jesse. Jesse snort. 

"There will not be a next time!" Jesse said "Ember will beat yea! I will be right by her side!". Ember blushes a little bit. Jesse had so much fate in her! She coughed and looked at the spirit. Then she smiled. 

"Let the duel begin!" She yelled.

Ember: 4000Lp.

Rock spirit: 4000Lp.

Rock spirit started off. He summoned "Sand doodlebug" to the field. (a scorpion) Then he placed a facedown and ended his turn. It was Ember's turn.

"I summon "Mataza the zapper" to the field!" she said and then she attacked with it, Mataza was a monster who looked like a samurai. Ember was using a warrior deck. However when her monster attacked, rock's monster was suddenly gone. Ember was a little confused. What just happened? Jesse sneered. 

"Something is not right here! That monster can only evade Ember's attack once per turn, if they are in the desert field!" Jesse said confused. Adrian sighed. 

"Well we are in the desert!" He said "This must play as a field spell! I told you Ember that you should not duel him!". Ember just snort a little and smiled. 

"I am not finished yet! Mataza eff activated! It can attack twice every turn!" she said and attacked again. Rock sneered and revealed his face down card. "Negate attack". He stopped his attack. Ember sneered and ended her turn. However since she did, the second eff from the bug got activated. Any lv 3 or below monster is destroyed. Ember could kiss goodbye to her monster. She was wide open now! On rock spirit's turn, she got hit by a blast of sand. She coughed a lot and feel the sand blast drain her energy. She fell down on one knee. If duel monsters, spells and traps were real, then life points must be real too. If she hit 0 she would properly die! Ember sneered a little and was gasping for air. In the background she could hear Adrian yell her name. It was annoying! Just a little. However she couldn't blame him from caring about her. A hand was in front of her now. It was Jesse's hand and she took it, and got up on his field. He was smiling at her.

"Don't let him get to you! We have dueled many times Ember! So I know you can beat this rock idiot over there!" Jesse said and grinned "Just focus on the duel and on your moves! Then you will win in the end!". Ember nodded. She focused only on the duel now and drew. Then she tried to play a field spell called "Sogen". However it didn't work. She apparently couldn't change the field. She summoned "Obnoxious Celtic guard" to the field in att mode. She tried to attack, but knew it wouldn't get through. However it could not attack either. Or Ember thought it couldn't. Apparently this stupid bug had another eff. It could attack her directly, even with a monster out. Ember got hit once again and lost 1200 life points once again. She coughed a little again, but she was not about to give up. She looked at the hand and saw a combo she might could turn things around with. If that rock spirit would fall for it that is. She summoned "Marauding captain" to the field. With it's eff, Ember could now summon "Hayabusa knight" to the field. Haya was looking at her. 

"I am ready my lady! Who shall we beat?!" it asked. Ember smiled. 

"We will do nothing!" Ember said and placed two facedown's. Now this stupid bug, could destroy a monster, since they both were lv3. Ember hoped it destroyed the right one! The spirit chose the captain, since it had more att. Ember smiled. He did exactly like she had planned. He was about to attack with his bug, when Ember revealed one of her facedown's. It was "Staunch defender". With this card, the rock spirit could only attack and should attack a face up monster on the field. That was Haya. 

"Well I don't care!" rock spirit said "My monster is stronger". Ember smiled.

"Not when I activate this card!" Ember said and showed him the spell "Rush recklessly". Haya gained 700 att. It now had 1700 att. Haya let out a scream. 

"Hiya!" it yelled "My my lady requires my help! She made me stronger! I will not fail!". And then it attacked and slashed the bug in two. He lost 500 points! The spirit ended his turn. Haya's strength returned back to normal. Ember drew and smirked. She looked at her partner and Haya nodded. She used the spell "Axe of despair" and a Haya grabbed a giant axe, who suddenly fell down from the sky. It now had 2000 att. 

"Haya attack and end this!" yelled Ember. 

"Yes my lady!" it yelled back and slammed the spirit with the axe. He lost 2000 life points. Ember turned around and began leaving the field. The rock spirit looked at her. He had a angry look in his eyes. 

"Hey! Where do you think you are going? I still have life points!" He yelled back. 

"You are forgetting two things!" Ember said and grinned "Haya can attack two times per battle phase! Goodbye!". The rock spirit looked in horror, when Haya slammed the axe at he once more and he disappeared. The rock crumpled and the spirit was no more. Ember fell down on the ground. Her energy got just drained with the bio band. 

"You were amazing!" said a voice behind her and Jesse was walking towards her. He helped her up. Ember noticed that the sand had stopped running and they others were about to get Jaden and Axel up from the crater. Ember smiled. 

"Yeah! Me and Haya actually had fun! Although I wouldn't mind the energy drain or the near death experience to go away!" She said. Jesse just nodded. A little bit later they walked towards the submarine once again.

Normal p.o.v.

Back in the library, Marcel was sitting on the throne once again and noticed that the monster card "Rock spirit" had disappeared from the duel disk. He smirked a little. 

"So they defeated it ehh! However I still get the energy they used in battle!" He said and clenched his fist a little. A minute after he summoned the duel disk again. He placed another rock spirit again. 

"Let's see how they handle this!" he said coldly "There is more where that one came from!". He grinned a little. The rock spirit got summoned onto the submarine. However the crew was already inside. 

Back in the sub.

The others had climbed inside the submarine, and after Adrian's brilliant assumption that the sub was empty, they all decided to split up. Jesse was going to go find the first aid kit, Ember decided to go with him, which actually was okay with Adrian to everyone's surprise. The others should look for things like food or supplies they could take back to the duel academy.

Jaden and winged kuriboh ended up in the kitchen, but couldn't find anything, until Kuriboh found a box filled with cans. It had food inside. He struck them all up in his backpack. Jim found the sleeping area and took all the blankets and fluffy stuff, he could carry with the help of Shirley of course. Axel found the torpedo tubes. He was impressed. This submarine was not kidding around. However there was not anything useful in here, he could take back. Adrian found the computer/alias the control center. Which was actually his goal all along. He needed to erase all evidence of him and that card he was after, or someone could found out what he had bin doing. That was also the reason he let Jesse have Ember right now. Even if he really didn't like it. However Ember should not get dragged into his mess right now. In the mean time Ember and Jesse was trying to find the first aid kit in here. 

Ember's p.o.v.

Ember looked at Jesse, when they were walking down the hallways of this sub. They were looking around for the first aid kit. Ember sighed inside. Maybe this was the perfect time to tell Jesse how she felt! Last time, she was about to, when this stupid bio band had drained Jesse's energy, and after that Jaden arrived to help her. Then Adrian or someone had been around and she couldn't tell him. However now they were all alone. The perfect time, but there was a little problem. Ember couldn't say it. She was staring down at her two feets, trying to get her mouth open and say it, but nothing happened. Ember was screaming inside. A lot of mean words to herself for not telling Jesse, but it couldn't be helped. 

"You are so silent Ember!" said Jesse suddenly "Something wrong?!". Ember quickly looked up and was suddenly blabbing like hell. 

"No! No! Nothing is wrong! Everything is fine! I am having it great! So lets go down and find that first aid kit!" she said together with a lot of other stuff. Jesse suddenly placed a hand on her mouth and sighed deeply. 

"Yeah something is definitely wrong!" Jesse said and grinned "You never talk that loud and fast normally! You can tell me everything! You know that! So say it!". 

"Why were you having a fight with Adrian Jesse?!" it suddenly came out from her mouth. Ember was cursing herself inside. Like slamming her head at some invisible wall or something. Stupid me! Stupid me! Stupid me! That was not what I wanted to ask him! Ahrr! Jesse instantly stopped smiling. He clenched his fists. 

"I.. I.. it wasn't my plan Ember!" Jesse said "It sort of just happened! I was trying to get Adrian to back off with that marriage thing! Or at least give you some space and well it didn't end so well!". Ember lifted her eyebrows. Jesse did this for her. 

"Oh Jesse!" said Ember said and hugged him. She didn't notice he was blushing a little bit. "That was so um sweet! But you didn't have to beat him up, just because he didn't want to listen, you know!". Jesse coughed a little and began walking again. 

"Well that's a boy thing okay!" Jesse said and began walking again. "We need to find that first aid kit! So let get going!". They began walking. However Ember noticed that Jesse was holding her hand, and it didn't look like he was about to let go. Ember smiling and squeezed his hand as well. She could tell Jesse another time. Right now she just wanted to be in the moment, squeezing his hand tightly. 

They found the first aid kit, in a big storage room, together with some extra medicine and stuff, miss Fortaine properly could use as well, and placed it inside the First aid kit as well. Then they walked back to the meeting point. The place they could get out of the submarine. They found the others as well. They all were about to leave, when suddenly down the hole, from where they came from, a herd of scorpion's was suddenly assembling. If Ember could remember they were called "Fiend scorpions". They were blocking the path out of here. Just great! Jaden had summoned Clayman to the field in def mode, and it made the scorpion's stand back. Then they all runned for it. They found a empty room and closes it. They were safe for now. Ember sighed relieved, but she knew they had to come up with a plan. They couldn't stay in here forever! Jaden and Axel was looking out at the little window in the room. They were the ones closest to the window. Suddenly Jaden looking in horror at his duel disk.

"Guys! I think we might have a problem!" He said and pointed at the card. Clayman was suddenly placed in facedown position. Someone must had used a spell or something. Axel, who was still looking out of the window, didn't look happy either.

"12 o'clock guys! A "8-claws scorpion" and if it attacks a monster facedown, its att becomes 2400! Clayman doesn't stand a chance!" He had just said that, when the giant scorpion had destroyed Clayman and blasted the door as well. Now all these small scorpions would run us all down, if they didn't do something. They all was  about getting the duel disk ready, however Axel stopped them. If they all fight, then they all would lose energy. Ember sneered. They had to do something!

"I will take them on!" said a voice suddenly. Ember turned around and looked shocked at Jesse. He looked determined! 

"Me and my beast will take care of them, while you all run for it!" He said. 

"Are you sure?!" asked Jaden worried. Jesse nodded. He summoned "Topaz tiger" and "Amethyst cat" to the field. Apparently Jesse meant they needed some cat's at them. He destroyed everyone of them and even made the rock spirit, who they of course don't know about, fell of the submarine and down into the sand again. He sneered angry and summoned a "Sand doodlebug" once again. He decided that if he couldn't harm them physically, then he was just gonna bury them alive, creating a giant whirlpool and make the submarine sink into it. 

Inside the submarine everything began to rumble. Ember knew instantly that they were sinking, and when a ton of sand suddenly flushed in her, she knew she was right. Axel quickly told them to run. Ember had a feeling they would do that anyway.

"So do you think this sub has some emergency exit or something!" asked Jesse. 

"Negative!" said Axel and sighed "The only way out, is the way we came in!". 

"Well that does not leave us with to many options!" said Jim. Ember nodded. 

"Maybe! Maybe not!" Jaden said quickly "I wonder if they have these torpedo things down here!". Axel looked surprised at him. Then he nodded. Ember had a feeling Axel knew what Jaden was talking about. She hadn't a clue. However they had to turn around, because the tubes where in the other direction. When they finally arrived, Jaden asked Axel and the others to open the tubes. Ember looked shocked at him. If they did that a ton of sand would come their way. However Jaden told them he had a plan. The sand rushes in and their secret weapon rushes out. He was holding two cards in his hand. Jaden summoned "Neos" and "Mole" and made the contact fusion out of the torpedoes, into "Grand Neos". Neos came out, lifted the submarine free from the sand and tossed the sub at the rock spirit, and killed him. (I understand that! Who survives getting hit by a sub?) However inside the sub..

"Alright neos did it!" yelled Jaden happily. Ember sighed deeply. So did the others.

"Yeah Neos did it alright!" Jesse said and groaned "Now move it! You are lying on top off me!". Ember let out a groan as well.

"Yeah! And do it quick! I fell like meat in a sandwich!" Ember added. Apparently Neos had shaken the submarine a lot, which made Jaden lie on top of Ember and Jesse. The others had banged their heads together, or inside the wall or something. Ember was not sure what had happened to the others. She was lying on something warm at least. That was actually comfortable, if it wasn't for someone's legs, who constantly was hitting her back. At least, no one was crushing her to dead any longer.

"Who's leg is kicking my back!" yelled Ember "It hurts you know!". A voice grinned.

"Ups! That would be me!" Jaden said "I fell down on the floor and can't get up!". 

"Wait! If you are not lying on my chest Jaden! Then who is!" said Jesse suddenly. Ember had tried to move away by now, since Jaden had moved his legs, however when Jesse moved his legs, his knees kicked Ember's but and she fell forward. Luckily she placed her hands at his chest, if she didn't she would properly had kissed Jesse. That's how close she were at his face now. Ember knew Adrian never would shut up ever again. He would yell and scream at her until he was blue in his face and needed to breath. However Ember actually didn't care right now. She was staring into Jesse's green emerald eyes. Darm they were beautiful. They were staring at each other. Ember had a feeling she could lie here all day. 

"Um so um well it is you who is lying on top of me Ember!" said Jesse, and didn't his voice sound a little squeaky? Ember looked at him. She had never been this close to him before. Not even when she was hugging him. 

"Yes!" whispered Ember in reply. However she knew Jesse could hear her. She didn't move a inch. She didn't want to! Her heart beat so fast for some stupid reason! If she just moved a little inch, then she could actually kiss him. Just a little bit! However then a loud coughing voice interrupted her. Adrian was standing beside her. 

"Well let's keep going!" He also said "We don't have time to lie here all day!". He had taken Ember's hand and removed her from Jesse. Ember sneered inside. If Adrian hadn't interrupted then.. Ember was sure she had told Jesse her feelings. However they returned to the exit and was in a minute all back outside. 

Normal p.o.v.

Back at the library, Marcel's demon arm thing, returned back to normal. Apparently Jaden and the others had beaten that rock spirit too. Marcel fell down on his knees. He was smiling, however sweat was running down his forehead. Apparently this was still new for him. It took a lot of energy and pain to summon these two spirits. However Marcel was still smiling. He was grinning as well.

"Yes Jaden! The more you fight, the more you energy you and your friends uses up and the more energy becomes mine!". He was smirking.
