Jaden's p.o.v.

Jaden was standing in a dark realm, where darkness were the only thing present here. At first Jaden wondered where he was and why he was here. This was not a place he remembered, and yet it suddenly felt familiar. It was comfortable and warm. Jaden liked it here. It was like he belonged here. Like this place was a part of him in some way. Then suddenly this dark place got slowly filled with light, and even though it wasn't that bright, Jaden had to close his eyes, because he was yet used to the light. When he opened his eyes once again, he was at a meadow, with a black cloudy sky. Jaden also saw some people, standing in front of each other and the boy quickly figured they were dueling. Two males. One of them was having a cowboy hat, west and black pants on. Beside him was an alligator. That's Jim! Who's he dueling? Why is he dueling? Jaden looked over at Jim's opponent. It was a person dressed in dark clothes with armor. Jaden's eyes widened. His heart was beating pretty fast. Is that me? Wait, no, those eyes.. it's Haou! Jaden walked over to the armored figure. He tried touching him, but his hand went through the king, like he was a ghost. He looked shocked at the king and now himself, then back at the king. It is really Haou, but that is my body, why is he using my bo.. wait why is he dueling Jim?! Why am I dueling Jim I don't understand! He felt so confused. Then a scream filled the air. It was coming from Jim.

"No if he can use Gaia, then I am a gooner" Jim said and was looked shocked.

"I am playing super polymerization" the king told him "With that I can fuse my monster with any monster on your field. Combining them to form your doom".

"Ahr, I am done" said Jim and sighed "I have no spells, no monster cards. Nothing!".

"You feel that, it is hopelessness. It is fear and panic and terror" the king told him and actually sneered "It is these feelings who hurt Jaden and made me take over, but unlike the twins here, We have no further needs for you. Disappear!". The card got activated and absorbed the two monsters and in it's place a black fiend devil appeared. Jim and company looked in horror. So did Jaden. Feelings, take over?! I remember! I was weak, and then Tara and.. Oh god what have I done! This was not suppose to happen! However regardless what Jaden wanted or said, this scene still happened. Jim got hit by Haou's monster and later he was, together with Shirley, sent to the stars.

The scene changed. Jaden was now ghost in a dark castle. There were explosive fire everywhere. He saw and heard monster's screaming. Then he noticed where he were. Standing beside the king.. and wait his sister? He saw Axel tackle the king and that Tara used this glowing orb and seconds later passed out on top of the king. Jaden saw Ember, Syrus, Aster and Zane, standing beside them all. Then suddenly Axel began to glow.

"No! Not Axel too" Jaden cried out in frustration. He felt terrible.

"The eye have brought Jaden back, promise that you look after the twins" he could hear Axel say and soon after his body slowly glowed. Seconds later he turned to stardust.

"I'm so sorry, I am so sorry" Jaden mumbled and let out a terrified scream.

Tara's p.o.v.

Tara was sitting up at the tree on the hill and was feeling lost. She had woken up a day ago, after the events with Haou, and couldn't believe where she were. She was free. She could go wherever she wanted and as an extra plus Zane was here as well. She was not seeing any blood shred. Actually the others told her the war has ended. There were no army any longer. Secondly the sun was up. This world was not dark any longer. She should be happy. She should be filled with joy. However instead she was leaning up at a tree and was sad. Sad and scared. She looked over at her brother who was lying on the ground. Ember was tending him. Tara bit her lip. She should be tending him, instead of Ember. It was her brother after all, but Ember had more experience on this field, and the only thing she was doing was placing a wet towel on his forehead once in awhile. It was nothing Tara could help with in this situation. She felt so useless. Secondly she was a tiny bit scared of Jaden. She was afraid Haou would jump out of nowhere and maybe possess Jaden once again. She was afraid that things like that before, happened again. Tara bit her lip. Maybe that was why she was scared. Haou did say he would return. She let out a sigh. She felt so useless.

"Tara are you okay?" could she hear a voice ask, and saw Zane look at her. Tara looked down at the ground. She may had been up and running for a whole day, but no one seemed to notice her silence mood. That until now. Tara did understand why though. Zane and Aster had first recently arrived here, after been on hunting for food. Ember was busy taking care at Jaden and was sometimes spacing out. Tara figured she had stuff to think about, and Syrus had been the scout. However now that Zane and Aster were back, Zane instantly noticed her changed mood. She could see him stare at her all the time, but surprisingly he didn't go near her, which Tara was grateful for. She needed time to herself. Secondly she was a little afraid to face him. She still could remember the time in the village, where she had walked over to Haou. Zane must think she was such a coward.

"Mell, mell" she could hear her spirit marshmallow say. It was cuddling in her chest, glad to finally be with her again. The spirits hadn't been able to show because of Haou's influence. Tara sighed and patted her loyal friend. It reminded her of the two decks who was packed in her backpack. Jaden's deck was back to normal and placed in his own bag. The one Jaden used as pillow right now. However Tara had found out that Haou had copied card from Jaden's deck, so some of the cards Tara had was a copy of her brother's. She still had her old deck, but Tara was not sure what to do with the decks. Right now she refused to touch them. Dueling was the last thing on her mind. She sighed a little and patted Marshmellow again. She looked over at Jaden. She could see Winged Kuriboh hovering above him. The little furball was worried about his master and friend. She decided to walk over to them. She noticed everyone's eyes were at her. She figured they were watching her since they were worried about her. She knelled beside Jaden and took her hand.

"Jaden, please open your eyes soon" she whispered "I miss you". She could see Ember look at her with a smile and moved a little away from her, so she could have a little privacy with Jaden. If she wanted of course. Tara actually didn't care. Looking at Jaden, made her heart ease quite a bit. He was Jaden, her beloved brother. He was not Haou. He would never be. She would make sure of that now.

"Tara" she could hear Jaden suddenly mumble and he turned around in his sleep. Tara wondered what was wrong. She figured he had a bad dream or something.

"Wah!" Jaden suddenly yelled up and flew up from the bed and was gasping for air. Tara looked stunned at him. She didn't think he would wake up that quickly.

"Are you okay Jaden?" she could hear Zane say, and actually sended her and Jaden one of his rare reassuring smiles.

"I.. I am not sure" replied Jaden while calming down. "I just had the scariest dream".

"No kidding, you woke up screaming" Aster replied with a smirk. Jaden looked confused around. Tara figured he hadn't a clue where he was. However right now she didn't care. She tossed herself at her brother's chest and gave him the biggest hug she ever could give him, which made him tumble backwards. Winged Kuriboh and Marshmellow joined seconds later.

"Ahr, Marshmellow, Kuriboh, I am also happy to see you" Jaden replied and moved Marshmellow from his face "But give me some space I.. Tara!". He broke his own sentence when he finally had moved Marshmellow and Kuriboh from his face. Tara moved a little away to give him the space he wanted.

"Tara" Jaden said again and this time he gave her the biggest hug he could ever give "Oh Tara, I thought something terrible had happened to you". Tara grinned.

"Why? You know I am pretty tough" she said and hugged him back.

"I know but I had this dream and.. well you collapsed and Jim and Axel got sent to the stars" He replied and let go of her "I thought something terrible had happened". By these words everyone at the camp tensed. Tara turned her head away again. Those dreadful memories of Jim and Axel dying. Both of them sacrificed themselves to save Jaden from the king.

"Please.. no tell me that dream was not real" could they hear Jaden say in a low voice "Please tell me it is not true. Tara please look at me. Tell me it is not true". Tara could feel that Jaden had taken her hand and she knew he was looking at her. Slowly, really slowly, Tara turned her head and looked up at him. She meet his gaze and froze.

"No! Stay away from me" she suddenly yelled and backed away, with pure terror written in her face. She could see her brother's shocked and hurt expression. Tara was shaking. Then she shook her head. In that minute, Tara was sure she had seen golden eyes instead of Jaden's brown eyes. She looked up at him again. For her inner eye, she was really seeing him with golden eyes. Even though she knew he had brown. She shook her head. No, no, no, he is Jaden! Not Haou! He is Jaden! Slowly the image of the golden eyes disappeared, and she could see Jaden as he normally was with chocolate brown eyes. Tara let out a deep breath and got up.

"I.. I need some air.. no water.. fresh water" she just said and rushed quickly away. Why? Why did I do that? Jaden will think I hate him now. That I am a coward. I am pitiful. I am the worst sister ever! However despite that, Tara just couldn't turn around. She just couldn't. Instead she rushed over to the lake she knew was here around. Hoping deep down that Jaden could forgive her.

Jaden's p.o.v.

Jaden was not sure what had happened. Everything had been fine at first. He had just woken up and then wanted to know if his dream had been a reality. He had touched his sister's hand, hoping to be reassured that the dream only had been a dream, but instead the opposite had happened. Tara had yelled at him. She had stared at him, frightened like hell. It was like he was a monster or something. Before he knew it Tara had gotten up and ran away, to who knows where.

"Tara?!" Jaden yelled a little confused and hurt at the same time. Zane sighed.

"I will go get her" He replied "It is time we talked anyway". Then Zane marched away and left Jaden even more confused. Then it hit him. Haou, I.. we.. what if that dream was not just a dream. Jaden froze. He had seen some few other pictures before he had woken up. Tara and Haou... did that really happen too? Jaden let out a cry and placed his head in his hands. Please, let it not be true! I haven't hurt my own sister.

"Jaden are you okay?" asked Syrus slowly. Jaden looked up at his best friend.

"Syrus.. is it true? Did I.. sent Jim and Axel to the stars?" He questioned slowly "Was I alias Haou doing all that stuff?". Like Tara, Syrus looked away, giving Jaden the answer he didn't want to hear, but knew was true. Jaden let out a cry again.

"It wasn't a dream" Jaden then said slowly. He felt so upset and depressed now "It was all real. I sended them away and hurt my sister. How.. how could I do that?!".

"Easy now Jaden" said Aster slowly "You were the supreme king's puppet. The darkness inside you took control". Jaden let out a cry and shook his head.

"No, I let him take over, because I was weak" He said slowly "I was selfish and alone. He was just there and well he fulfilled my wish. My selfish wish. Everyone just disappeared on me and well I couldn't bear the pain. I wished that I never would get that hurt ever again. Haou tried fulfilling it, but I didn't know how he was gonna do it. If I had known I would never had gone to him". Jaden let out a cry again.

"Jaden, what are you talking about? Gone to him? What is it about the king?" Ember said and placed a worried hand on his shoulder. Jaden sniffed and looked up.

"After Syrus and you Ember left. Haou appeared and we made a deal" Jaden said slowly "Then I found out who he was. When the king told me his name I hesitated. Therefore he gave me day to think about it. To join him I mean. My heart was aching and even though Jim and Axel returned to me, my heart was still aching so much. I didn't have Tara with me either. I felt alone and Haou's offer was tempting, so that night I left..".

Flashback.

Jaden stumbled forward on the bridge to a dark castle. The castle we all know about. Beside Jaden was his fateful partner Winged Kuriboh, who was looking at his friend with concerned eyes. However the little furball knew Jaden wouldn't listen to it. Kuriboh had tried many times, but now he knew there were nothing that could stop his master from entering. Beside Tara, but she was not around. The little creature sighed and followed Jaden through the hallways of the dark castle. Jaden was not sure why he was here. Haou, the supreme king had told him, that if he ever truly wanted to find him, his instincts would guide him. Which lead him to this place apparently. He walked through the hallways of the castle and entered soon after a throne room. Jaden looked confused around. What was this place? Winged Kuriboh was hiding scared behind him. He could hear small sounds of "Kuri, kuri" from it. Jaden was not sure about what to do, so he turned around and was about to leave. 

"Welcome Jaden" said a monotone voice suddenly and Jaden turned quickly around. On the throne, was a transparent being sitting/floating, dressed in a black coat. He looked so much like him, that Jaden actually was a little scared. Haou tilted his head a little. 

"You are scared Jaden" he pointed out "But since you are here, I assume you have made up your mind then?". Jaden gulped a little and nodded. Haou snort a little and got up. Seconds later he was standing beside Jaden. 

"I see" He replied "Join me it is then. You wouldn't stand before me with that look, if you were here to refuse". Jaden looked surprised at him, but then nodded. 

"You are keeping your end of the bargain right?" He asked slowly and a lonely tear fell down at his cheek. Haou tilted his head, then he nodded. 

"Yes you will never be alone Jaden" The king told him "I will fulfil your wish and find your sister. She will not be left behind. In return, you will help me". Jaden nodded slowly. 

"Yes, but you never told me what I should help you with" He said puzzled. 

"I need a body Jaden" Haou replied "That is all I want". 

"A body?" Jaden whispered "My body you mean?". Haou nodded. 

"Don't worry, it is only temporary. I will let you go" He replied "When this world is mine, I will set you free. When this world is mine, no one will hurt you again Jaden, I promise. Tara will be there with you, and until then I will stay with you. You will not be alone". Jaden sniffed a little and nodded. He felt so alone and broken right now. 

"Fine, do what you want" Jaden whispered and actually hugged the spirit. He was actually able to touch him "Just don't leave me". Haou nodded and let the boy hug him.

"The deal is on then. Now sleep Jaden. When you wake up again, I will have taken care of everything" Haou reassured in his monotone voice. Jaden nodded and fell asleep pretty quickly. Haou then entered Jaden's body and became the dormented soul there. 

"Now to fulfil Jaden's little wish" Haou said in his monotone voice "That is easy. If there is no one here, no one will hurt him like that again". And with that simple logic, Haou began conquering this world.

Ember's p.o.v.

Ember was shocked when Jaden was finally finished telling his story. She couldn't believe all that had happened to him. She couldn't believe, deep down that she was one of the causes for this. Jesse had been right about, when he said Heroes needed their side characters and they had left him. Ember did the only thing she could do, she gave Jaden a big hug. The boy looked surprised at her.

"I am sorry Jaden" Ember mumbled "I know I am not Tara nor Alexis, but please take this and my deepest apologies. We should not have left". She could feel Jaden relax slowly and saw him nod, before he made Ember let go of him.

"I accept your apologies, after all, you have done nothing wrong compared to me" Jaden said slowly "Even Tara is scared of me". He let out a cry. Aster sighed deeply.

"Easy Jaden, Tara will return. She is just as shaken as you are from the previous events" He said and walked over to Jaden as well. He kneeled down to his level "But listen, the king and the darkness is gone now, but your friend Jesse isn't. I know that you are upset and all, but right now your friends need you to get it together, so we can find Jesse". Jaden sniffed a little and looked away.

"Friends? Yeah right?! After the choices I made, who would want me as a friend?" He whispered and sighed deeply "But at least I have Tara. I can feel her, and I forgive her already. I just hope she can forgive me". Ember saw him touch his forehead.

"Ahr come on" Aster said and touched him. However he noticed that Jaden had went unconscious again. Ember did remember, that he was really warm, when she hugged him. Aster touched his forehead, and his eyes widened.

"He is really burning up" He said and they all placed him down in the bed again.

"Guess he was not fully ready to wake up yet" concluded Ember and placed the blanket over him. Aster nodded and placed the towel at his forehead. Now all they had to do was waiting.

Adrian's p.o.v.

Inside a cave, somewhere in this dimension, was Adrian wandering around.

"After all my searching I finally found you" Adrian said out loud. He was staring at a sealed door, who was surrounded by many chains.

"To think that imprisoned behind that door, lies the power I need to rule this world" He said and looked around. In front of this massive door who was sealed, was a little lake. It was not really deep. You could walk on it and if you had good shoes, you wouldn't get too wet. Some part of the lake, was a shining spot, and Adrian smirked.

"It is time to break your seal" He concluded and looked at the 5 exodia cards in his hand "When I confronted Yubel, when she was inside Marcel, I saw he had the exodia cards in his hand. At that moment I knew that was the power I desired. At first Yubel didn't think I was worthy of such power, but she noticed that I would do anything to possess such power. I always promised to put others ahead of my ambitions, but now that much change. I must be ruthless. I must put nothing before my desire to rule this world, but in order to break the seal and release Exodia, someone must be willingly to sacrifice up their duel energy to him, but who would do such a thing?!". Adrian had just said that, when a giant exodia arm, came out of the only spot from the door and was holding its arm over the shining spot. Adrian knew that it was there he needed to sacrifice that duel energy. He began thinking. I could use Ember, but she is my future Queen, so that is out of the question. Hmm who else?! Adrian was holding up his left arm. His hand had changed since last time. Yubel had after all shared her power with him. He had gotten a demon arm similar to Machel. He began building up energy in his hand, and a picture was shown. A picture of Echo.

"Hmm Echo is in this world" he said and smiled "Echo would of course do that for me".

Tara's p.o.v.

Tara was sitting at a lake pond a little away from the others. She could still see the others at the hilltop. They were after all in plain sight. Tara tossed a stone in the pond and sighed deeply. She felt so terrible. So ashamed. She couldn't believe she had said that to Jaden. She knew it was not Jaden's fault, but she still had been scared.

"I am pretty pitiful aren't I?" she whispered while petting marshmallow a little. She could hear Marshmellow yell "Mell, mell" to her but she ignored it. She sighed.

"I am a big coward as well" She mumbled "I should face my mistakes..". She broke her own sentence and let out a little cry. She felt so useless.

"You are not a coward" said a voice suddenly and Tara turned quickly around. Zane was standing a little away from her. He had a tiny smile on his lips.

"Zane how long have you been here?" Tara questioned. Zane snort.

"Long enough, to know you beat yourself up for something you didn't do" He replied and sat down on the ground beside her. Tara looked surprised at him.

"Now tell me what's really on you mind Tara" Zane encouraged "That expression you had when you saw Jaden in the eyes, let me guess, you saw passed him".

"I saw Haou, the king, in him and.. I am so pathetic. Jaden must think I hate him.." she said and let out a frustrated cry "I just can't get the king out of my head.. he did stuff and I know I should be happy to be free, but instead I am scared. I should have tried to stop him. I shouldn't be scared. I shouldn't be a coward. I should be brave like you, but instead I aren't. You must think I am pitiful". She let out a cry. Tears were running down her cheeks and she tossed herself at his chest. She just needed comfort right now. When she realised what she was doing, she tried to pull back, but Zane just placed arms around her and pulled her closer into his embrace.

"Oh my dear beloved Tara, you really think I hate you in anyway" Zane then questioned and lifted her cheek so they meet eye to eye. "You are no coward and I don't find you pitiful. Why do you think that anyway?". Tara let out a sob and he let go of her. She placed herself at his chest.

"Because you would face the king head on. You would fight him without being scared" she then whispered and said a little louder "I didn't do that. I just stayed. I should have fought, but I didn't do that. I was scared!". She let out a cry again. Zane patted her back and ran a hand through her hair, while comforting her.

"Yes you are right. That is the way I would have done it" he then replied "I wouldn't have hesitated to duel and try taking the king with me, regardless if he was Jaden or not. That is my way of being brave. However Tara, there is different ways of being brave. Your bravery is not coming from hotblooded power like mine. Yours are coming from the kindness you show". Tara sniffed and looked confused up at him.

"What do you mean?" she said slowly and rubbed her eyes. Zane smiled at her.

"Your bravery comes when you want to protect something or someone" he replied "Like when you stood up to me at Gx tournament. You were afraid at first, but you got the courage to tell me my errors. That is considered courage since I was a jerk. You also stood up to the king, and made the deal with him because of Axel. He told me. You chose to stay to help him and Jaden, regardless how scared you were".

"That is not courage" she said slowly "There is no bravery in that". Zane snort.

"Sometimes being brave, doesn't mean you aren't scared. It is natural" He replied "The most bravest man, is not the one who isn't scared, but the one who faces his fears head on". Tara looked at Zane and actually smiled.

"Where have you heard that kind of nonsense?" she replied "In a fortune cookie?".

"I do have my moments" said Zane "Point is you are not a coward. You are a kind and caring, loving girl and that is what I love about you, my beloved Tara". Tara couldn't stop smiling at that statement. She felt so happy and safe in his arms.

"You are so sweet" she said and placed her head at his chest "And you are not a Jerk. Not any longer. You are my beloved Zane. I have missed you so much".

"I have missed you too Tara" Zane replied and they were sitting like that for a while.

"Zane, do you think Jaden hates me" Tara then asked slowly. Zane snort a little.

"Have he ever hated you before?" he questioned. Tara shook her head. "Do you hate Jaden for being taking over by the king then?". Tara shook her head again.

"Then there is nothing to worry about" Zane continued "You know Jaden".

"Yeah" Tara replied slowly and yawned "And I am here now, so nothing is going to happen. Can we stay like this a little while longer. I missed you so much Zane".

"Sure" he replied "Just relax. I will take care of you". Tara yawned a little.

"Yeah, I know. I think I will sleep a little again" she said and yawned "I love you so much Zane. Don't ever leave me". Zane bummed at that statement.

"I love you too Tara" he manage to say before she fell asleep.

Ember's p.o.v.

Ember sighed deeply and placed another wet towel at Jaden's forehead, before she got up and let winged kuriboh take care of him. Jaden was his partner after all. Ember noticed Syrus was looking at her together with Ojama yellow, but they didn't attend to follow her. Ember smiled by that. She decided to go over to the cliff at the hill. From there she could see over the whole place they currently were at. She was still a little surprised at the sudden sunlight, but she of course didn't complain. Every drop of light was welcome. However it couldn't prevent Ember from worrying. She was wondering if the darkness who had been around had been created somehow. If that was the case who had done it? She suspected the king, since the darkness vanished when they beat him, but a part of her also said it was more Yubel's fault. After all the world had been dark before The supreme king had appeared. Ember clenched her one hand, by the thoughts of Yubel. She couldn't stop thinking about her beloved Jesse, who she knew was in Yubel's grabs right now. She also wondered why Yubel never had approached her. She had been around her, in Jesse's body which made Ember so angry, many times but was always hiding. Ember wondered why. Her eyes wandered downhill to the little lake who was that place Tara was sitting now. She had a tight grip around Zane and was sleeping peacefully at his chest. Ember couldn't do anything but smile at that sight. They were so sweet together.

"Hi Ember how are you doing?" said a voice suddenly and Aster walked towards her "Something wrong?". Ember shook her head and smiled.

"No everything is fine. I am just doing some thinking that's all" she replied him.

"Well I think everyone is doing that" Aster replied and was now standing beside her looking down at the beloved couple at the lake.

"They are so good together" could she suddenly hear Aster mumble.

"You are okay with that they are together now then?" she questioned "You told me you were jealous at them and wanted Tara for yourself remember". Aster smiled.

"Yeah I remember, but things had changed. I was jealous, I know that, but now that I have been spending time together with both of them, seeing Tara and Zane together I have been realising how wrong I have been" Aster told her and smiled "I mean I have never seen Tara so happy after she finally got Zane back and that smile.. well I don't want it gone. I treasure it, even if that means she has to be in the arms of someone else". Ember looked at him with a tiny sad smile, but she did understand him.

"So it doesn't hurt?" she questioned and Aster shook his head a little.

"At the start it did, but I also know Tara is my friend, so now it doesn't hurt as bad" He proclaimed and grinned "I just hope I find someone who would love me in return". Ember nodded and placed a hand on his back as comfort.

"Don't worry, one day you will find a girl who will love you the real Aster Phoenix" She told him "You just have to wait and see". Aster smiled back.

"And you will be reunited with Jesse again don't worry" He said reassuring. Ember nodded determined. She was sure of that too. She was just worried if that was as Yubel or the real Jesse. She looked at Aster and noticed a deck in his hands.

"Um so.. your planning your deck for future duels?" she questioned and pointed at the deck. Aster looked at the deck in his hands and shook his head.

"No it is not mine. I took the liberty to look at Jaden's deck. There is this certain card in it. 'Super polymerization', I was just wondering where Jaden got such a powerful card, that is all" He explained. Ember frowned. She remembered how her friends got sent to the stars and that she and Syrus had left after Jaden's duel with Brron. She did remember that it was because of that card, all their friends were sacrificed. However at some point she also knew why Jaden was having it, and it was not because he had been the king. No she knew it was the only memento he had from his friends. After all she and Syrus left Jaden all alone. However she was not gonna tell Aster that.

"We may never know, along with me never knowing if I could have taken down the king myself" said a voice suddenly. The others turned surprised around and saw Zane standing beside them with Tara sleeping in his arms. Ember eyes widened. They had been so caught up in their conversation that they hadn't noticed him.

"Are you kidding?" sneered Aster a little "Didn't you watch him duel?".

"Yes I did" Zane replied and smirked "He was dangerous, menacing, powerful and ruthless. Does that sound like anyone else you know?". Ember looked surprised at him. Sometimes she wondered what Tara saw in a jerk like him.

"Whatever Zane" Aster said and sighed. He looked back at Jaden "You know everyone else is just worried about getting out of here. It is not a game any more, so what is wrong with you? Our friends might be gone for good, and you, you just more concerned about finding a good match. Think about it Zane, we almost lost the twins for good". Zane snort and walked over to the tree and slowly placed Tara down beside Jaden. Ember figured Tara had been more worned out that she was letting people know about. Maybe not physically, but mentally she was. Just like Jaden. Then Zane returned to them, having that smirk plastered to his face.

"Interesting Aster, you developed a soft side" He then commented.

"Oh yeah, but I am not the only one" Aster sneered and pointed at Tara "You have a soft spot for Tara, since you love her". Zane snort a little.

"Yeah, Tara is mine and I will treat her a lot better than before, I can't deny that, but compared to you that is a whole different story" He replied coldly "After all Tara is the only one I have a soft spot for. You have for almost everyone now".

"That is so not true.." began Aster yelling, but he was interrupted by a screaming girl sounding voice. Ember, Zane and Aster followed the sound to see two people running down a mountain trail, who was close to where they were. They were followed by a stampede of "Abara ushionis" duel monsters. The one yelling up was Dr. crowler and he was accompanied with this short black haired woman in a dark wardrobe and cape. The two of them quickly ran to one of the sides after the mountain train, trying to get rid of the monsters. Ember would have found this funny if it wasn't for the fact that they were in life threatening danger. At some point Crowler tripped as well.

"Ms. Echo" he yelled in that girly voice. The girl turned around and sighed deeply.

"Not again" she complained and rushed to Crowler's aid. They would properly have been stumped to pieces, if it wasn't of the fact that the spectator's had summoned three powerful monsters to the field. "Cyber dragon", "D.H Diamond dude" and "Habusuya knight". They quickly killed all the duel monster's.

"Cyber dragon and Diamond dude" Crowler questioned and looked around. He saw the crew and smiled happily while rushing towards them. "Zane, Aster it is me your loving teacher. How lucky I am to have run into you..". Then he tripped again. Ember frowned. She could faint remember him being with them at DA.

"Who is the lady?" Aster asked curiously. Crowler quickly got up and explained that she was Ms. Echo and that she was near the academy when that portal opened and they both got sucked in. Ember eyed Echo. There were something familiar about her. She was sure she had seen her before. Echo was also staring at Ember with a cold glare for some reason, so Ember was completely sure, they had meet somewhere before. She just couldn't remember when.

"Well welcome to nowhere" Aster then introduced and smiled "Syrus is right over there and we recently managed to hook up with the twins too, but..".

"Oh excellent, with the twins backing me up the monsters here don't stand a chance. We may even get out of this place" Crowler said in a happy tone. Ember sighed by that. She wasn't sure the twins could do much being in that state right now.

"Hold on" interrupted Aster and sighed "The twins are not doing so good".

"What happened?" Crowler questioned and looked up at the hill where the twins were. Ember looked up as well. It pained her to see the twins resting.

"Where do I start?" Aster replied. Zane snort by that.

"At the top" he replied and walked up the hill towards the twins and Syrus. Crowler and Echo soon followed. Ember sighed deeply. Zane could really be a piece of work. She was about to walk up the hill as well, when her foot hit something at the ground. At her feets was some sort of silver necklace with a locket in it. Ember quickly bowed down and picked it up. She also opened it and her heart froze. The locket had a picture of Adrian in it. Ember looked up at the hill and up at the girl Echo. Now she remembered her. She was that childhood friend of Adrian's. She had grown up quite a bit since she last saw her as child. It was no wonder she couldn't recognize her, since it was ages since she last saw her. Why would she have a locket of Adrian though? Were they that close as friends? Ember was not fully sure.

"What do you have there Ember?" said Aster suddenly and looked over her shoulder and looked at the locket "Wait isn't that Adrian the transfer student?". Ember nodded.

"Yes I think it belongs to that Echo girl" she proclaimed and sighed. Wherever Adrian popped up there were always trouble. That was at least how Ember felt about him. She still didn't like her so called Fiance. If she could she would call off that wedding. She had decided that the only guy she was gonna marry was Jesse.

"Hmm that is weird, what is Adrian's picture doing in Echo's locker?" Aster questioned. Ember shrugged. She didn't fully know, but she was gonna find out soon.

Time skip.

"So you are saying that Jaden was the supreme king, and that he sended both Axel and Jim to the stars" asked Crowler when they were sitting around the camp fire. The others nodded. The teacher sighed deeply "How am I ever gonna explain that to chancellor Shepard..". Then he began self pitying himself and Ember decided to leave the camp fire. Hearing about how the duel academy disappeared and it was Crowler's biggest fiasco, was not was interested Ember right now. Instead she walked over to Echo. What she didn't know was that Aster had followed and was now listening from the shadows. Echo looked up when Ember approached her.

"Hi Echo, it is me Ember Thrussell..".

"I know who you are" the girl sneered coldly at her and interrupted Ember "You are the girl who is suppose to be Adrian's fiance. The one who shall become his queen". Ember frowned a little by that statement. She knew she was his fiance, but not his Queen. However she let it slide for now. Instead she was holding up the locket.

"I found this on the ground. It is yours isn't it?" Ember questioned. Echo quickly looked under the cape and when she didn't found her locket, she sneered and grabbed it out of Ember's hand. Ember was stunned a little by that act.

"You little... just because you like Adrian, doesn't mean you can steal my stuff" accused Echo coldly. Ember was staring. Then she sneered back.

"Hey I told you, I found it on the ground" He replied just as coldly "Yes I looked inside but you can't just accuse me like that". Echo was about to reply when Aster suddenly appeared between them, with lifted hands.

"Girls, girls it is not time to fight among ourselves" He said and smiled "Echo you can't blame Ember for Adrian's disappearances. Just like Jesse, he didn't return the first time right? So are you looking for him?". Echo sneered.

"Be quiet, you don't know that?" she yelled a little coldly "And no I am not blaming ms. Thrussell here, because I know Adrian stayed behind on his free will. It is his destiny". Ember frowned by that. She was about to ask what she meant, when Aster began asking her a new question.

"Are you his girlfriend?" he asked which made both Echo and Ember do anime falldown. Echo was first to recover.

"No, I am not! He belongs to Ember here. Ember Thrussell" She yelled. Ember could see Aster's puzzled face and remembered that she never had told him.

"You mean this Ember?" Aster then questioned and pointed at Ember "But she is in love with..". Ember quickly placed a hand over his mouth. Aster eyes widened in surprise. Echo's eyes narrowed.

"Loves who?" she sneered "She is Adrian's fiance. She can't love anyone else". Ember could hear Aster mumble under the covered hand. His eyes were looking from Echo to Ember. Ember sighed deeply. She had figured it out as well.

"You are sneering at me Echo" Ember concluded and slowly let go of Aster who was now staring at Echo "Do you have feelings for Adrian?". Echo sneered angry.

"No I have not.. that would be inappropriate" she said in a cold tone.

"But you still have" Aster replied "Ember hit a nerve here, didn't she?". Echo looked away without replying, and that answered Aster's question. She loved Adrian. Ember could actually not believe how relieved she was by knowing. It should have been the other way around. A girl was after all in love with her fiance, but Ember couldn't be more happy, because she didn't love Adrian back. She loved Jesse. Without further warning, Ember quickly grabbed Echo's hands.

"Oh I am so happy to hear that" she said happily "I don't love Adrian. I love Jesse. In my opinion you can have him. Maybe if Adrian knew, then he would cancel that wedding. Oh I hope so". Echo looked shocked at her.

"You in love with Jesse?" she said slowly "The kitchen boy I saw long time ago when Adrian visited your resistance as kid? But that is wrong? Your his fiance, you have to love him. You just have to!". Aster coughed a little.

"Ah I see, the rich class's rules. They force their children into marriage at a young age so they can keep the money and a business partner" He said "It is the same old song. But in this case, Adrian loves Ember, but she doesn't love him, but Jesse. You love Adrian, but he doesn't know your feelings. A weird love triangle". Echo sighed.

"I could never tell Adrian the truth. He must not found out" she said slowly "He has enough on his mind as it is. He doesn't need another distraction". Ember frowned.

"Distraction?" she questioned "What kind of distraction?".

"Any distraction from becoming king" Echo replied "He is destined to rule this world and Ember to be his future Queen. I can't change that. He puts the needs of others ahead of himself. I would do anything to see him happy and be in his rightful place. Even if that means hiding the truth from him". Ember and Aster looked at each other.

"Okay you just went to a really weird place" Aster commented "I was with you to the king thing..".

"Yeah and I am not Adrian's Queen, I don't want to live like a princess anymore. I never wanted to in my entire life" interrupted Ember a little loud. Echo sneered.

"Hush you two, do you see this picture of Adrian. He is so better, stronger and kind out of all of you" she said. Ember was about to say something, when suddenly a mysterious fog appeared around them. Aster questioned what is was, and without thinking the group began surrounding the twins to protect them. Whatever that was happening, no one was laying a hands on them again. Not after what happened with the king event. Ember agreed, but her and Crowler also added Echo to the group. This way everyone could protect each other. Then suddenly everything wrapped around them. Ember could feel a weird power around her now. Before she knew it, it was like the space around them was warping. She had a feeling they got teleported and quickly closed her eyes. She felt dizzy.

When she opened her eyes she was no longer at the hill top, but in a strange dark cave of some kind. Everyone else was there as well. They all looked around.

"What happened?" Aster questioned confused.

"I can't say for sure, but I think we got teleported here" Zane concluded.

"Miss Echo are you okay?" Crowler asked the girl. She nodded. She was standing a little away from the others. Aster and Ember looked worried at the twins. They both looked a little groggy. This little trip apparently had woken them up.

"Jaden, Tara are you okay?" Aster asked worried. The twins nodded. Aster sneered "I am not liking this you guys". Then the sound of footsteps could be heard.

"Someone is coming" Ember said slowly and was ready with her duel disk to fight whoever approached them. Out of the shadows a figure appeared. Ember's eyes widened when she saw who it was. It was Adrian. Adrian Gecko!

A,N: well that was that. I decided to end this on a cliffhanger, in the middle of everything. I thought it fitted really well. I will write the next part soon. Don't worry. As for the next part, we will be seeing Adrian in a duel, trying to get the power of Exodia. Wonder if he succeeds? However a question to your fans, who is reading here. I am close... or almost close at the ending of season 3 and I was wondering what kind of battle against the boss you prefer. Jaden only dueling. Tara only dueling. The twins having a double battle or they are just dueling together against the boss? Please comment on what you think, please.
