A,N: Hello my dear readers here are the next chapter. However a little warning. This chapter is a little dark and cruel. But has some good moments too and secrets. Hope you will like it anyway. Please comment on what you think.

Tara's p.o.v.

Time skip. Some days after events with Baou and around same time with Axel and company at the fortress.

Tara was standing at the balcony in her room and was sighing a lot. She was looking up on the dark blue sky, and the comet once in awhile, but beside that, she wasn't really doing anything. Tara didn't want to do anything actually. She was pretty down and tired. After the time in the village, Tara hadn't been feeling up to do anything actually. Beside eating the food the servant's brought, Tara had either been lying in her bed or been standing at the balcony like she was right now. The event with the village was almost constantly on her mind. After her meeting with Zane and Aster, which made Tara happy and sad at the same time, Haou had kept his word and waited a minute. However as soon as that passed, he destroyed everything in sight. Tara had never seen so much destruction, and she even tried to convince Haou to stop this, but it had been futile. The king didn't listen to her. Tara had never seen so many people run for their life, screaming in fear and the fire.. it haunted her mind in the nights. Tara shook her head. She needed to stop dwelling on it.. she needed to do something. However Tara didn't want to leave the room and the only other thing than staring up at the comet, was looking at her deck, and Tara refused to touch it for now. It only made her remember the events even more. Beside her was the eye floating up and down as a trusted companion, which is properly also were.

"Tara! It has been three days since you locked yourself inside here" Jim commented "Don't you think it is time, you.. well you know mate.. explore the castle or something. Do something or talk to someone?". Tara sighed and looked at eye. She hadn't told Jim what had happened yet. It was just to dreadful, but the eye was not clueless. It had seen her leave with the army, and Jim could count two and two together. At least he knows that Haou had made Tara do or see something dreadful, that made her lock herself inside her room. Tara sighed again.

"I told you I am just fine" she said and smiled a little forced smile "Don't worry Jim".

"I am worried Tara" He just replied "You are clearly not fine. Whatever the king made you see and do, remember that I am your friend mate. Whatever happened, I will still be your friend. You need to talk to someone about what happened Tara, it is giving you nightmare". Tara shivered a little. She didn't reply Jim, but instead let out a little cry. Oh how she wished they were at duel academy right now, and that everything was back to normal. That Jaden was with her and they were just chilling and had a good time. They were properly at the cafeteria, and Jaden was stealing Chazz's fried shrimps. Things like that. Tara let out a sigh again. She was so lost in thoughts that she didn't hear the door open and that someone walked in. She did however notice that the eye pretty quickly flew into the pocket in her jacket. Tara didn't think much off it. Then suddenly she felt a hand on her shoulder and turned surprised around. She was staring eye to eye with Haou's cold golden eyes.

"Hello Tara" Haou said in his monotone voice "How are you?". Tara clenched her fists and sneered angry at the king. Why was he here?

"Just terrible" she yelled angry at him. She could feel her anger build "And it is all your fault! I don't want to be here! I want to be back in my dimension with my brother. I don't want any of this. No more people who is disappearing and war. I just want a normal peaceful life thank you!". The king just looked at her. Then his armor and helmet disappeared and he was now dressed in that dark wardrobe, that almost made him resemble Jaden once again. If it wasn't for the black clothes and cold amber golden eyes that is. Tara sniffed a little. Haou tilted his head a little.

"Hmm you are sad. Sad and angry at me" He pointed out "It is understandable. The first time is always the worst, but soon you will get use to it".

"No! No, I will not! I am not you and neither is Jaden! We are not like you! Ruthless, and a killer! What had all these people done Haou?!" she yelled and slammed at his chest with weak punches. It was still Jaden's body. "They were innocent. They were just living peacefully and then you attacks them. Just like that! Using Jaden like this.. it is.. it is just not fair!". She let out a scream and began to cry. Every feeling from these past days, every worry, fear or anger, was surfacing now and made her break down crying. She did slam at Haou's chest once in awhile, but it hurt her more than it did the king, since he had instantly equipped armor on from when she began hitting him. However it still helped her getting out with some frustrations.

"That's enough" Haou then suddenly started and made Tara stop up. A couple of tears were still running down her cheek. The king moved them away and snort.

"I don't care what you think of all of that" He then said "Killing them was necessary. You will never understand. Not yet! But let me share this with you Tara. When I have archived my goal, your brother will be set free. I will let him go". Tara looked shocked at him. He was gonna free Jaden, but.. why?

"But I.. what goal? Don't you need Jaden's body.. to move around in" She said perplexed "If you let him go, then what of this world?!". Haou tilted his head.

"I only need a body to touch massive objects.." Haou replied and shrugged "When my goal is complete, I don't need one, therefore I am letting him go". Tara was still a little shocked about that, but it also made her happy knowing Jaden would be back, even though she didn't know what that goal of Haou's was.

"My goal and this world?" Haou then questioned and patted her head a little "You are not ready for that reply". Tara looked confused at him, but Haou didn't want to explain himself. He just looked at her.

"Clean your face Tara" he then said "I have something to show you". Tara nodded and rushed out of the bathroom and washed her face. She knew what the king was applying. He might not care that she cried, but it would be considered weak by the army. Like Haou stated, he couldn't have a weak host. She returned back to the king and noticed that he once again was in full armor and helmet.

"Um how do you do that?" she asked "Making the armor disappear and reappear?".

"Will" Haou just replied. He made a gesture that she should follow him and seconds later they were walking down the corridors of the castle.

Time skip.

Tara had never been fully sure on what Haou wanted to show her, but being inside a room without furniture while standing in front of Baou, who now was a beat up vampire, was not one of them. Tara couldn't do anything but stare, when Chaos and two guards had tossed Baou in here, and then had left at the order of the king. Beat was properly not the right word for it. Beaten to bloody mess was more correct, even though Baou was conscious and able to stand. It was just how Tara saw it right now. His cheek and left eye was swollen. His arms was filled with so many bruises that Tara was amazed that they weren't broken. His chest, who did have some few bandages on, was properly filled with wounds, and she could see some of the blue dark blood stains on the bandages. Tara was sure his back didn't look any better. He also was wearing a collar around his neck. The only place who wasn't hurt at all, was his legs and feet for some weird reason. Tara looked over at the king, who was having an emotionless expression like always. He was glaring at Baou though. The vampire was just standing still, looking down at the floor and not saying anything.

"Good you remembered" Haou then said coldly "Silent until I say you can speak". Tara looked shocked up at the king? Was he responsible for this?

"Are you pleased Tara?" Haou then asked and actually sounded proud "He got punished similar to where he would have or had touched you. The rest for disobeying me". Tara noticed the vampire shiver by that. She didn't feel so well either.

"No, I am not pleased. I didn't want to see him like that" She said in an angry tone "This so wrong! Why? Why Haou? Yes he did some bad stuff to me, yes, but.. This is just so wrong!". She felt Haou pat her head twice.

"I am not showing any mercy" He said coldly "Not when they try taking things that doesn't belong to them. Right Vampire?". The vampire quickly nodded.

"What.. did you do?" Tara asked and gulped inside. Haou snort a little.

"We talked" he replied and took a step forward "Right Baou? You are granted to speak". The vampire looked scared up for a second.

"Yes.. master" he then said slowly "A very.. thoroughly.. talk". Haou snort a little. Tara was not sure she liked that look the king was sending the vampire right now. She was actually not sure how to take this whole situation. However it was clearly that Baou was scared of Haou. More than usual. Whatever 'Talk' they had, it had made miracles for the vampires behavior. Tara looked up at the king. Haou was still glaring coldly at the vampire and without any words, Baou kneeled quickly down.

"Who are you serving?" Haou then asked coldly. The vampire shivered.

"Yo..u ma..ster" he said in a stuttering voice "You, the supreme king of this world".

"Correct! What were your duties?" Haou asked.

"I was your spy, gathered people for the army as well as dueling for you" He replied quickly and looked down at the floor. Haou snort again, and the vampire looked up.

"Correct, what are your duties now?" the king then asked. Baou shivered.

¨I have none! I am nothing, but your simple slave" He replied "Yours to use as you see fit". Tara gasped a little. Haou had made him a slave?!

"Because..!" Haou said in a more icy tone, which made the vampire whimper.

"I.. I tried to take something.. I tried to take the..lady away from you..master" Baou said in trembling voice "I promise, I will never do that ever again". Haou snort.

"Yes you won't" The king replied and turned his back against the vampire "Not because of your promise, but because you can't. Get up!". Baou quickly did that. Tara could suddenly feel her getting pushed forward. She had been so focused on the vampire that she hadn't noticed that the king had walked behind her and now pushed her in front. Few steps away from the vampire. Haou had his hands resting on her shoulders. Tara was not sure what to do, so she ended up staring at the vampire. She noticed that Baou was staring confused back at her.

"Bow to her!" Haou then said "Serve her with loyalty. You belong to her now".

"Wait what?" Tara yelled up "Belong to me, but I..don't..". She never finished the sentence, because she could feel Haou's cold eyes glare at her.

"Disobeying Tara?" He questioned inside her mind "He is gonna be your servant, and you will take him. Understand?!". Tara eyes and mouth widened in disbelief.

"But why? I don't want a servant and if I wanted, I will never pick him" she replied him and could hear Haou snort.

"His pride! The worst punishment!" The king replied "He will show you and Jaden some true respect. No one, will go unpunished for doing anything to my hosts!". Tara looked surprised at him, but then nodded. When Haou was like this, she couldn't change his mind. She had figured that out, when she tried to persuade him at the village. However she wondered why he was so.. so possessive over her. It was not only her, but her twin as well. It just couldn't only be because they were the king's hosts and wielder of his powers. There must be more to the story. There just had to be! In the meantime, Baou was staring at her and the king, with disbelieved eyes.

"But she.. is a human girl" the vampire said slowly "I will not serve a..". Haou flicked with his fingers and the vampire suddenly began screaming. He fell down on his knees grabbing around his head. It looked like he was in seriously pain. Tara didn't know what was going on. The vampire was crying now.

"Please, please.. master. Please make it stop! I don't want to see more" Baou then begged. Haou just snort. Tara looked up at Haou for an explanation, but the king was silent. Baou was tumbling around trying to stop whatever he was seeing, by slamming his head or other body parts at the floor.

"Please, master.. I will do anything.. " Baou begged again "I will serve her. The lady! Just make it stop. I don't want to see them death again. Please master. I beg you!".

"Doing everything she want?" Haou questioned coldly "Serve her without complains. Bow to her and obey her every command? Call her whatever she likes?".

"Yes, yes, all that and more" Baou yelled "Just make it stop. Please I beg you... master". Haou snort and flicked again. The vampire gasped for air and stopped screaming. Tara looked at the king.

"What happened? Why were he screaming?" She said in a scared tone. Haou snort.

"The collar" He said coldly "It's darkness. He relives his worst memories, nightmares. Things he regrets. His darkness in his heart". Tara looked shocked at him.

"He is behaving now" Haou said "He wouldn't dare to defy you Tara. He has agreed to serve you. Disobey and he get's punished". Tara was shocked. She was not sure what to say or do. Haou snort and began leaving. He made a gestuse for them to follow and they left the room seconds later.

Time skip.

"Well um Baou. I have no idea what to do with you" Tara said and sighed. She was back at her room once again. Tara had nothing to do after all. Haou had some meetings around the last human fortress and stuff, so he had left Tara and Baou on the own. Tara was happy not being around the king, but at the same time wasn't. After all she was not fond of being alone with the vampire. Right now Tara was sitting at the bed, looking at the vampire, who was sitting at the floor near the wall at the room's entrance. He hadn't said a thing since the king left them.

"So what did the king normally make you do?" she asked. Baou looked at her.

"I don't know.. my lady" He replied slowly "Before.. I checked the new recruits, or dueled or spy on something, but I am not a lieutenant any longer. I am.. serving you.. so use me.. as you see fit". He bended his head a little. Tara could see that was hard for him to do that since his pride was in between. Tara looked at the vampire. He didn't look good. He was tired, his stomach was rumbling and she was surprised that he could see anything with that eye of his. She sighed deeply inside.

"Well my servants needs to at least smell good, and take some fresh clothes on while you are at it" she said slowly "And you rumbling stomach annoys me, so get something to eat". The vampire lifted it's head in surprise, but he didn't make any action to leave or anything like that. Tara was a little confused here.

"Why aren't you leaving?" she questioned. The vampire looked down at the floor.

"I can't. Where should I go.. my lady?" he said slowly "I have nothing. I am a servant and slave. Slaves have nothing. Nothing! Nothing at all. Only what my masters grants me. My master told me that many times". Tara noticed that he was rubbing the blue marks on his arms now. She sighed. She was not gonna lean her room out to the vampire. He was not gonna stay here, that was for sure.

"Fine! I will find you something. I didn't explore this castle for nothing" She then stated "So come with me vampire". The vampire got up and bowed. She did notice the anger in his eyes when he did, but she also noticed some confusion there as well.

"As you wish my lady Tara" he said. His voice also sounded surprised. Tara looked coldly at the vampire now. Properly a look even Haou would be proud of.

"Oh yeah, only call me my lady" She said coldly "You have no right to use my name. I am still angry at you. You tried to transform me to a vampire!". Baou looked down at the floor and bowed slowly to her.

"As you wish my lady" He replied "I am truly sorry for what I did. You can punish me if you like". Tara snort a little coldly back at him.

"No, the king is right. You aren't truly regretting it" She stated "If you could, you would hurt me over again. Maybe it was a good idea his majesty decided to give you to me. You can learn some humility and maybe treat others with respect. Secondly I am not like the king. I will not punish you.. I think". Then she left the room.

"Hey Boss! You down here?!" Tara yelled and was looking around. They were right now in the kitchen of the servants. A place Tara of course was familiar with. Baou looked surprised around. Tara figured that he never had set foot in the servants quarters before. It was maybe under his dignity or something like that. The kitchen was filled with people who was working, but they did look up from the work for just a second, to see what was going on. When they saw Tara, some of them smiled and waved. That until they noticed the vampire as well. They all stopped up in their work. Tara sighed. She had heard the rumors. That Baou was teasing and annoying the female servants. Tara smirked. Now he was one himself.

"Baou, I forbid you from doing anything to the servants at all" She said strictly "If you do then.. you will get punished". Tara was not fully sure how it worked. Haou had explained inside her mind, how the collar in some way. She either I order you, or I punish you in a sentence of the rule she states, and Baou wouldn't be able to do it. Tara was not fond of doing so, but the servants was her friends, so the former lieutenant was not gonna do anything to them. She noticed the collar sparked a little.

"As you wish my lady" Baou said in a low voice. Tara knew how the vampire hated to take orders from her. Right now Tara didn't care.

"Hello Tara" said a voice suddenly "What brings you down here?". Tara smiled and turned towards a girl. A duel monster called "Elemental magician".

"Hello Erika" she replied and smiled at the girl in front of her. Then hugged her "I missed talking to you for so long. Why aren't you the one bringing me food any more". Erika grinned and hugged her back.

"You know I can't be the one all the time. I have other chores" she said and looked at Baou "Is he who I think he is?". Tara noticed that everyone in the kitchen went silent now. Tara sighed a little and nodded.

"Yep, the former lieutenant Guardian Baou" She said and smiled "He is the reason I need to talk to the Boss. Do you know where he is?". Erika nodded slowly.

"I don't trust him" she said and pointed at Baou "But I do trust you Tara. So therefore I will get the Boss. Boss! Hey Boss! Get your ass out here. Someone want's to see you!". Erika had walked over to where they were having storage. She had opened a door and yelled like hell down there. Tara couldn't stop grinning a little. Some minutes later the door opened again and a big man walked out, carrying big bags of flour and food. He looked like a small version of a sumo wrestler, but Tara knew he was carrying only pure muscle strength. He was having a big black beard who covered most of his face as well. On a duel monster card he was called "Brotherhood of fire fist – Boar", but everyone referred him as Boss. He was the chef in the kitchen.

"Who is calling the boss?" He yelled like hell and looked at the servants "We have a lot to do, and need to prepare food for Haou's army. So get to work!". Tara smiled. The workers began preparing the food, but she knew they would be listening to that conversation who was about to happen. Boss could be strict, but everyone loved him. Secondly he was one of the few, who called the king by his name. After all don't ever anger the chef, or your food will never arrive. First time Tara found out this, it made her a little shocked. She had been trying to find the servants quarters to maybe free them, believing Haou had enslaved them or something like that. However it had been the other way around. They were here by their free will. That had surprised Tara deeply. She saw Haou as cruel being, who couldn't be kind to anyone. Or kind was maybe not the right word. Boss had explained to her first time she arrived here, that Haou kept them alive in exchange for them working here. They had mostly been pacifists who didn't want to duel. They could leave, but if they meddled in the king's quest to conquer this world, they would get killed by the spot. However no one of the servants wanted to leave. They had it good. Better than they had when Brron and the fiends terrorised the land. That of course didn't mean they weren't afraid of the king, but at least they knew he wouldn't hurt them. That the army sort of did was an other case. However Boss protected his workers pretty well so few accidents happened.

"Oh Boss, working as hard as always I see" Tara said and smiled. Boss turned towards her, and then a wide smile on his face.

"Well if it isn't Tara, Haou's little favorite. Long time no see kid" He said and walked over to her and gave her a big hug. "So how is it going? Are Haou treating you nicely. You know I will come after him, if he ever make you starve". Tara was holding her breath and tried to keep the air from not leaving her now squeezed body. When Boss finally released her from his bear hug, she took a deep breath and then grinned.

"Ah he makes sure I eat" Tara replied and then pointed at Baou "I am here because I need your help Boss. He kind of needs help and you are the only one I can rely on". The Boss now looked at Baou and once again everyone went silent and stopped with their work. The look Boss sended Baou was not a pleasant look.

"That is Baou, Haou's pathetic lieutenant" He sneered "He is the one who annoys and goes after my girls! Grr! If you ask me to help him then.. what happened to his face?". Tara looked at Baou now.

"Tell them the truth" She said to the vampire "Tell them what happened".

"I.. no.. I" began Baou but the collar gave a slow spark and the vampire yerked. Baou clenched his fists and began telling everything that happened. That he tried to kill the lady and that the king punished him. About the king's education and..

"Well I am apparently a part of his education" Tara concluded "He is my servant. I don't want him, but you know Haou.. he made sure I couldn't refuse. Boss you know I treat the servants nicely, even him! Well look at him, I can't have a servant who is about to die and smells like this". Boss looked at him and began to laugh.

"So the hunter became the hunted ehh" He said and smiled "Haou is actually making sure he is punished by becoming your servant ehh. The king is something alright. Hey Faith! Faith! You know what you shall do!". A spell caster called "Magician of faith" appeared quickly and had a big bag in her hands. Behind her was a little girl "White magician pikeru" called White. She was looking at the vampire.

"His face looks funny mom" the girl then said. Faith shh's the girl and sneered.

"I am only treating you Vampire, since Tara and Boss agreed to" she said.

"Don't worry Faith, he will not do a thing to any of you, now will you Baou?" She asked in a firm voice. Baou jerked a little by that, but he shook his head as a reply.

"He will behave now" Tara said and sighed "Have him ready in the evening.. with my dinner. Oh and give him a place to sleep. I want my privacy. I am hoping that I am not ordering you too much around". Boss only grinned a little.

"You are something as well lady Tara" He said and grinned "You forgive a guy after what he was nearly about to do you? Just like that! You are truly amazing. Hope you never lose your good heart". Tara sighed a little. I think I already have!

"Um I am leaving" she said instead "I have stuff to do". The others nodded.

"Wait.. my lady" Baou said suddenly "Why are you doing this? I was cruel to you, so you just can't be nice to me. That is not how it is gonna work".

"Well then you could be kind to me in return then" She replied and snort "And I am doing this because I want to.. I forgive.. I am not.. the king". Then she left the kitchen. As soon as they were a little away and alone in the hallways, the ball in Tara's pocket was glowing and the eye slowly floated out.

"I thought we would never be alone!" Jim commented and floated in front of her face "Noble act mate, but you know I can see if people have true intentions. You weren't having your heart fully in there. So what was your attentions?". Tara looked at the floor. She didn't want to reply. She could see the eye glow though.

"Well I'll think it has something to do with the King. You are helping him mate because you don't wanna be like the king right?"Jim concluded. "Tara girl, you are nothing like the king. You are still the kind girl I know!". Tara sighed.

"No, I am not.. " she said "Haou killed people Jim "I didn't try to stop him really. I am not better than he is. I could have tried more, dueled him or stuff, but I was afraid. Then Zane and Aster appeared and courage enough. I know Zane has the courage to do so.. He would properly think of me as a big chicken right now". Jim sighed.

"Oh Tara girl I am so sorry" Jim said slowly "But I don't think your boyfriend thinks of you as a chicken. You may not stop the king, but you are doing good small stuff here. Like being kind and stuff, and the king did say he Jaden go, and when he do, he'll need you more than ever. You saw him in the mirror prison". Tara sniffed and wiped the few tears she had in her eyes away. Then she nodded.

"Yeah you are right. I need to be strong for Jaden and to do that I need to find the truth" She said determined. Jim hummed a little. He sounded confused.

"What do you mean Tara girl?" He questioned. Tara grinned a little.

"Haou, I need to find out who he is. I need to know why he is so protective over us and then there is that goal of his. I want to know what is it, before he let's Jaden go" She stated "Haou has meetings now, and even though only the king knows, he must have some secrets in his room, and now I am servant free". Jim grinned a little.

"Ah I see mate, that's the reason with the vampire" He said "Very sneaky! I am impressed". They left towards Haou's room.

"Well I'll be. I didn't know you could break locks Tara!" Jim said and whistled impressed.

"Well I got that skill in the poor district years ago" Tara replied and smiled "I decided to learn that after I got kidnapped as child, but well have not been very useful when you never had the right tool on you when you got locked in. Here we go!". Tara moved the newly found hairpin away from the door. Then she tried the doorknob and the door slightly opened. She snuck into the room and closed it quickly behind her. She quickly placed the eye in the pocket again. Haou was at at meeting, but she didn't know for how long. It was good to be careful and quick about this. She looked around. She had a view on the room once when her rank was introduced to her, but that was really quick. She didn't get a good enough look. Now was a different case. Haou's room looked like her's, but was of course bigger. Tara began searching around in the room. At the double sized bed, balcony and every other place she figured you could find something. However after a little while, she came up with nothing. Tara sneered out in frustration and sat down on the chair to the desk in the corner of the room. Oh come on, he must have some secrets. Everyone has something, that can link them to something. Some stupid thing they value. What did he do? Take them with him in the grave? Well he is a spirit, but come on! Tara slammed her fist at the desk. Then suddenly she heard a voice. Tara looked instantly around. That voice, it couldn't be.. could it? She followed the sound and noticed on a desk, not bigger than a marble, was a black kind of orb lying. It was in someway camouflaged into the desk and was almost invisible to human eye. Almost! It was the thing who said the voice. Her mother's voice! She quickly touched it and then it began to grow. Bigger and bigger until it was as big as the size of a crystal ball, which it properly was. It was flashing and then pictures was shown. Tara was staring at them. No actually glued to them. In the ball was pictures of her mom and two babies. She knew in some way the babies was her and Jaden. Before Tara knew it she was reliving the memory.. Like she was there herself..

Flashback.

(A,N: so You will not be confused later on. M Tara, means the Tara in the memory)

Tara was in a room. That room who had been the twins room when they had lived in the house as children. They had moved out when their mom died, but Tara could still remember this place very clearly. However right now it was pretty empty. There were boxes all over the place though. Tara figured her mom had just moved in here or something like that. However their mom was smiling. Tara could see her mom walking around putting up books in the few shelves she did have in here, but Tara could see that her mom was smiling at something. It took her some time to figure out that she was seeing this from her view. The babies view. Her and Jaden's view. Their mom grinned and walked back to them. She grabbed something. Tara couldn't quite see what it was. 
"Ah Jaden, not again!" she said and smiled "That is mom's keys, you shall not eat them". She was holding a plastic car in her hand, and Tara figured she gave him it. Tara smiled. Apparently Jaden was eating everything as child. Just like he did now sort of. Suddenly the view changed. Now Tara could see herself and Jaden sitting in some rocking baby chairs. She also noticed that she was actually not awake. Jaden was biting in the plastic car though. Their mom had just placed them down from the desk they had been standing on and placed them down at the floor. She placed a box on the table instead. It was filled with more books and Serenity took some and walked over to the shelf again. She did however not notice that the box was dangerously close to the edge of the table. It was about to fell down and the babies was right under there. The box finally tipped over. Serenity had just turned around and saw the box and the books rain down on them. She was rushing over to them of course, but it was to late. 

"NO!" yelled a new voice suddenly "Grr I have to..!". Tara felt like she was moving. Then everything suddenly went black. When the picture became more clear, Tara could see her mom visible and in plain sight in front of her. She looked scared and in panic. She quickly moved the books away and then seconds later looked confused. Tara sneered. She couldn't see what her mom was looking at. "I want to see what happened" Tara yelled and slammed the deck while looking into the ball. It was like the crystal ball heard her, because suddenly the pictures moved like you moved a camera in a study. Tara gasped. Now she could see what her mom looked at. She saw that Jaden and herself was safe and sound. They were covered in a black shield of some kind. Serenity just went through the shield like it wasn't there, and was holding Jaden in her arms. He was just smiling up at her.
"Jaden, you don't have a scratch on you, your sister doesn't either" Serenity said puzzled.
Tara figured she couldn't see the shield. Then the shield disappeared. Actually it transformed and Tara gasped a little. A black figure, looking like a shadow, was standing behind them now. It looked like a silhouette of a human. 
"Good!" The shadow said "If something happened, we would all three die. We still have so much to archive Jaden and Tara!". Then the shadow touched them both and disappeared.

Scene changed. 

The picture switched. In this picture Tara was a ghost. She was inside a library and was looking at things from above. She saw herself and was a little surprised. She saw herself in a white uniform. Tara remembered Alexis wear something similar and figured it was her time in SOL, even though she couldn't quite remember her time there. She saw her sitting at a chair sighing. Then Chazz arrived and told her the master was looking for her. Tara rubbed her head a little and her eyes widened. She remembered now. It was the day she had returned to Jaden and.. Tara bit her lip. Wasn't there happening something here? She decided to follow her doppelganger. M Tara ran through the corridors, happy to be of use to the master, when she heard this weird voice.
"You are wrong girl" a voice said and Tara as ghost gasped. A shadow figure, properly the same from before, was standing near M Tara. Tara felt a little uneasy here. It couldn't be HIM, could it? She could see the shadow behind her doppelganger now and it looked like it was whispering her into the ear.
"You are not imagining this girl" the shadow said "I am talking to you, you just can't see me". M Tara looked scared and shocked actually.
"Who.. who are you?" she asked slowly "What do you want?". Tara could see the shadow float around M Tara a little.
"I am actually here to stop you" the shadow said "If you go to Sartorius now, everything will end right here! He is not the one with the answers you seek. Your brother is! Sartorius will only lie to you, Jaden has the answers!". Tara could see the puzzled face on her doublegenger's face. Tara really just hoped this shadow was not who she think it was.
"Since you don't believe me, I have to show you" The shadow said and lifted it's hand and touched M Tara's head. Tara remembered how the memories had floated inside her head. All pictures of Jaden, and she had felt so happy. M Tara felt to the ground now and the shadow removed his hand.
"Now go! Find your brother! If you don't then Jaden won't have the power to save you". M Tara got quickly up and left the dorm. Tara could see her run towards the red dorm. She also saw the shadow floating in the hallways. It was looking at the girl. Then it clenched it's fists. It sounded angry.
"Stupid light!" it said and snort "Normally I wouldn't meddle, but you have taken half of my powers. I will not let you continue. Good luck Jaden, she needs you!". Then a bright light appeared and..

Scene changed.

Tara was standing in a new place. She gasped a little when she saw it. It was inside her mind. She could recognize this place anywhere. It was after all a part of her. She looked around, trying to find her alter ego. Tara clenched her fists when she found herself caged in that circle of orbs. She remembered being there of course, even through her memory of it was a little blurry. She figured it was around that time she was brainwashed by the light. 
"Let me go! Hassleberry! Syrus!" yelled a voice suddenly and Tara noticed Jaden in a cylinder formed cage. She followed her brother's view and saw Hassleberry and Syrus duel the white members. Jaden kicked the cage and yelled even more angry stuff, but Tara actually didn't care. She noticed something Jaden apparently hadn't. A shadow figure was slowly appearing behind him. Tara was sure it hadn't been there just a minute ago. The shadow was floating around Jaden, like it did to Tara's doppelganger in the white dorm. It whispered him into the ear too.
"You are connected to her" it said "You have to speak to her heart". Tara could see the puzzled look on her twins face. Jaden apparently didn't know who that was either, but in the end Jaden connected to M Tara and she was free from the cage minutes later. However Tara now noticed that the shadow had been touched the orbs just before M Tara was free. Tara rubbed her head a little. What happened then? She gasped a little. The monster! She had just said that when the white flashing monster had appeared. Tara could see Jaden and herself with that scared look on their faces, and that Jaden tried to shield her. Sometimes Tara was amased by her brother's bravery. The monster was about to attack, when Tara saw the shadow siluet hug them. Jaden and M. Tara. It was standing behind him and had placed it's hand on one of their shoulder's. A black aura was appearing around them."Tara, Jaden! Hold hands and stretch the other two towards the monster NOW!" said the shadow. Tara could remember that she did as the mysterious voice asked of her. They didn't have anything to lose. The black shield appeared, the monster slammed towards it and later got hit by that black beam. Tara now noticed that the shadow slowly took a bit more shape. It looked like a boy now. Similar hair style and color as Jaden, while dressed in black clothes. Tara gasped a little. Haou! It was Haou! But does that mean.. that I have been seen his memories? Tara couldn't believe it, but it was Haou who was standing behind them. She could hear the white monster hiss now. It was staring directly at Haou. "You!" It hissed "I should have known you would meddle again!". "I have these two in my care" Haou said coldly "You can't touch them ever again! Now leave this place and never return". He had placed a hand on top of both of the twins. The monster hissed angry and in the end disappeared. Tara could see herself and Jaden look around, but they couldn't see Haou. He had let go of both of them and was actually looking down at himself. He looked a little stunned. It was like he hadn't seen his own body before. M Tara and Jaden had both bowed to the king and disappeared seconds later, to wake up in their own bodies. Haou was still there though. "Hmm interesting" He then said and sounded puzzled "They accepted me, or a part of them did. I wouldn't change shape if they didn't. How foolish of them. They don't know what they have agreed to". Haou walked around and destroyed everything the light had created. "Balance once again" He said and snort "Soon Jaden and Tara. I will show myself to you. When the time is right". Then he disappeared.

Tara sneered when the memory ended. The crystal ball was lying on the table and had stopped glowing. She didn't understand a thing. If it was Haou's memories, then why was there no one of who he really was. Secondly why had he, Was he so protective over them? Had he really been around them as kids? Many questions had appeared in Tara's head now. She just had so many questions. Tara slammed her fist at the desk and quickly grabbed the crystal ball before it hit the ground. One thing was being in Haou's room, but she didn't want the sentence destroying the crystal ball over her head as well. She knew Haou would properly be angry at her, but right now she didn't care. She wanted to see more and get more answers.

"Why can't I get some answers?" Tara yelled angry "For starters, what is his agenda with us? Why is he protecting us, me right now? Why are we..". Tara never ended the sentence. The orb was flashing once again. She quickly looked at ball and got absorbed into the memory once again.

Tara was standing in a very familiar place. Haou's room in this castle. Tara was a little confused and at first she thought she had just moved a little away from the desk and chair, but when her hand went through the desk, she knew this was a memory, and apparently a newly made one by that. Tara looked around. It really was Haou's room. The door to the room suddenly opened and the king actually walked in here. Tara was at first a little worried he could see her, but when he went through her and over to the balcony, Tara knew now fully this was a memory. The king was looking up at the sky and the comet like always. Then minutes later, he walked into the room once again. He had removed his armor and layed down on the bed for a while. Then seconds later, he sat up instead. Tara had actually never seen Haou restless before. He was looking at both of his hands now, and then slowly clenched them into a fist and back again. Then he snort a little.
"Jaden's body is so easy to control" he then suddenly said and Tara clenched her fist "It was not my plan to take it for my own, but whatever. He became weak, too weak, and it is ineffective. We have a lot to do after all". He got up and walked a little around. He was looking at the sky once more, before he sat down again. Tara was confused. Was he waiting for something or someone? Haou snort a little. "I can't believe she showed. The girl! I had figured I would wander around in this dimension for a good time, before I would find her. Instead she just walking in here and challenges me. She is as foolish as her brother" He said and smirked"She is in the dungeon now, so no worries". Tara looked surprised. She was in the dungeon, but then this is before Jim and Axel. Before Jim died! A sound made Haou stand once again. He was looking at the sky and saw a shadow of a figure, flying through the sky. A little while later the shadow landed on the balcony. Haou looked emotionless like always, but Tara had a feeling he was happy. She looked out at the balcony and then looked shocked, when she saw who the shadow was. It was Yubel and she walked inside the room of course. Haou snort. "Well you took your time" He said coldly "Trouble flying?". Yubel snort at him. "You know as well as I, how good I am at flying. I am the best!" She replied and then smiled a little "Long time no see Haou". The king nod. Then he looked around."Where's your little toy?" he questioned "Thought you would use him, having control problems?". Yubel laughed a little. "I don't, I just figured it was faster flying. Not be bound to a human form, who can't fly. Oh and don't worry, I made sure 'my toy' as you called it, doesn't run away" She said and smirked. Then she hugged Haou. The king hesitatingly hugged back a little later. "I just figured you liked seeing me as Yubel, that's all". Haou let go of her and snort. "I don't care what form you in, you still Yubel" he stated. Yubel smiled. "Well I can see you have taken care of little Jaden. Is it really that fun running around as human" she asked. Haou shrugged. "Jaden is my host" He said coldly "There is a difference, and you know that". "Yeah true, why did you summon me here Haou?" she asked. The king snort a little. "The plan is approaching" he said "The card is almost complete and I have the girl too". Yubel was actually looking surprised at him for a moment. Then she looked eager. "Really, you mean it?" She asked and Haou nodded "and you have Tara, then give me her. I want her. She is gonna be so fun to play with.. at least for me. Painfully fun! But not for.."."No!" said Haou suddenly and broke Yubel's sentence. Yubel was staring at him."What do you mean by no? We had an agreement" She said angry "You possessed one of the twins and I would get the other, so give me her! So I can make her pay". Haou sneered angrily. His armor appeared again, but without helmet. "I said NO!" he said coldly "She is staying with me! She is mine! Now leave Yubel!". Yubel looked shocked at Haou. Then she was furious. "You little traitor!" she yelled "You can't betray me! Haou!". The king snort and the darkness was emitting from his body. Yubel looked shocked around. "Yes I can! The twins stays with me. I will complete the plan alone, and you will have to beg me to even be in it Yubel"He sneered out "I have more power than you. I don't need you. Leave before I kill you". Yubel let out a furious scream and lifted her wings. She was now quickly up in the air. She looked pissed at Haou. "I will remember this Haou. The day you loses or let your guard down, Tara and Jaden will belong to me" She said angry "Then you will beg me for mercy". Yubel then flew out of the room. Tara who had been in the background, was both shocked and confused. What was going on here? Haou was about to say something..

"Having fun looking through my memories Tara" said a cold suddenly and Tara felt a hand on her shoulder. Seconds later she was pulled back. At first she looked puzzled around. She was a little disorientated. She felt a little pain at the shoulder and slowly turned around. She was face to face with the real Haou. She knew it was him because of the pain and scary golden eyes. The king snort and with the other hand, he had taken the orb and shrunken it down to marble size again. Then he pulled Tara of the chair. She was standing front of him now. Tara could fell the anger from him.

"How much have you seen?" He asked in a cold tone that made Tara shiver. He squeezed her shoulder and arm a little "And no lies, I am pretty angry with you Tara".

"I saw you of course" she said in an angry outburst "You helping us as child and with the light. You betrayed Yubel..". Haou snort coldly.

"And.. after that.. what did you see then?" He questioned coldly. Tara snort.

"Nothing! You stopped me before I could see more of it" she replied. Haou snort and let go of her arm. Instead he grabbed her chin. Tara was staring into his golden eyes.

"You have been a really bad girl Tara" He said coldly "Sneaking around in my room. Seeing things you shouldn't". Tara sneered a little.

"Yeah, well you didn't want to give me any answers" She replied and tried turning her head away "So I went to get them myself. So punish me if you want. I don't care". She actually did care, but she didn't want to show that she was scared. Haou sneered.

"Hff then ask!" He sneered and let go of her "You never did". Tara was confused.

"Of course I did, I asked you many questions.." she began. Haou snort.

"Not these questions" Haou pointed coldly out "If you did, I would reply".

"Yeah right like you ever would" Tara sneered "You always say, I am not ready for that reply or something like that. That is not an answer". Haou snort coldly.

"I said replying, not answering your questions" He said coldly "If it was only these foolish questions, I would have answered". Tara bit her lip. She wondered by that. Suddenly she felt pain. She noticed that the king had hit her on the head with his hand. It had armor on, so it did hurt a lot, but Tara had a feeling there were at least no concussion. Maybe a bump though. Haou snort coldly.

"Hff that is your punishment" the king said "You are not leaving until I know exactly what you have seen". Tara looked a little confused at him. What was wrong with him today? Normally he would be more evil wouldn't he? She could feel that Haou had grabbed her hand and dragged her over to the bed. She got placed at the one side of the bed, while the king sat down on the other side. He removed his armor of course.

"Begin" he ordered coldly. Tara sighed. She was not getting out on this one was she? She began telling about what she had been seeing. Haou was in the meantime, looking up at the ceiling. Tara actually wondered if he was listening at all. However when she was finished, the king looked at her. It gave her the creeps.

"Why you looking at me like that?" she asked. Haou snort.

"Waiting" he replied "For your foolish questions. I know you have some". Tara's eyes widened. He had been serious at that time? She sighed a little.

"Fine, why were you protecting us all these times? I suspect it was you who talked to me at the fire on D's boat. You made me leave Sartorius." she said slowly "Were you also the one telling Jaden how to heal my foot?". The king snort a little.

"Yes correct" he said coldly "I only did it, because I would die as well, if you both died. If the light got you I would die there too. End of story". Tara bit her lip.

"So.. why did you heal me then? I was in no danger there a all" she asked.

"Hff wanted you to stop Yubel" He said and sneered "But you were failing terribly. If I had known, she did all this to wake me up, I wouldn't have meddled". Tara looked confused at him. What was that suppose to mean? She bit her lip a little.

"So why didn't you give me to Yubel that day?" she asked slowly "You decided to protect me right? That was the reason you betrayed her right? Why?". Haou snort.

"Correct" he replied "Protecting you, like I do Jaden. Yubel can't touch any of you".

"But why? Why do you protect us? I don't think it is only because we are your hosts Haou. I think there is something you are not telling me" she said slowly. Haou snort and rolled over on the other side. He had his back turned towards her now.

"Why did you chose us as hosts Haou? Have you really been around us since we were born?" she questioned. The king snort coldly.

"Hff foolish questions" He said and sneered "You ask to many. This one you don't want to know stupid girl". Tara looked at the king. There were really something different about him today. Then her eyes widened. He couldn't be, could he? She pointed slowly at the king's shoulder. Haou reacted and turned around a little.

"Haou you are different today" she began. Haou only snort to that reply. She continued "You are lonely aren't you?". The king almost flew up from the bed.

"What?!" he almost yelled "Lonely! I am the supreme king. I am not lonely!".

"I can tell, Jaden and I has been lonely before" Tara said and smiled "We had each other, but sometimes you need others to talk to so..". Haou snort and looked away. He was clearly not gonna reply that one. She sighed and jumped down from the bed.

"If you say so Haou" she slowly said "I have told you everything I saw, so that means I can go now right". She took one step, and stopped up. Haou had grabbed her arm.

"Stay Tara" He said slowly "I had a bad day. I am surrounded by incompetent fiends. I need a break from being king". Tara bit her lip. Haou was the evil king. He had sent dozens to the stars. He had hurt her and others, but even so.. Tara had felt true loneliness as child. The same had Jaden. No one had to feel that, whoever they were. Not even an evil king like Haou. Tara sighed. She had a feeling Jaden would do the same thing. Then she nodded. She could feel that the king slowly had loosen his grip. Tara placed herself at the bed again, with her back leaning at the wall.

"So.. what do you want me to do?" she questioned confused. Haou looked at her.

"Talk, just talk" He said slowly and looked at the ceiling again "About anything. Ask any foolish question if you want. I will reply". Tara was thoughtful for a while.

"Um okay, do you like dueling?" she then asked. She felt it was a little awkward here. Haou snort a little at first. However then he nodded.

"Yes I do" he said slowly "I was once like Jaden. Loved dueling. Don't ask into it".

"Oh, I like dueling, but not like.. Jaden. I like to read good adventure book instead" She replied. This still felt a little awkward. She missed Jaden. Haou hummed a little.

"So do I" he suddenly said "Long time ago". Tara looked a little surprised at him. Haou only made a gesture for her to ask a new question. They continued doing this until Tara couldn't keep her eyes open and fell asleep.

A,N: Well that was that chapter. It was the last extra chapter.. for now. Next chapter is the epic final. The boys infiltrate the castle and a showdown with the king begins. Where Tara is in all that.. well you will just have to see. But I think it is epic! Hope it sounds interesting.
