Axel's p.o.v.

Time skip.

"Okay, come on now. Put your back into it. We need to fortify the defenses before the supreme king's army arrives" a guard yelled. Axel frowned. He did not like what he was seeing. He had arrived at the only remaining stronghold and human fortress some couple of days ago. He had followed Aqua here, but without her noticing it. He needed to spy and make some recon on his on before he decided on what to do. What he had seen so far was that the guards were pushing people to the limit at work. Giving minimum food and water. It was not only humans but spirits as well. Axel, in someway understood them. They were all frightened. Even the guards and the few duelists they had. They wanted to prepare for the king's attack, but Axel just didn't believe this was the way to do it. The fortress in itself was not much either. There was some houses in here, a little fire place, where some women were making a giant pot of maybe soup. Then there were the fortress around of course with stairs, ramparts and fortifications. Some guard posts. Actually if you could use this fortress to the max, you could actually make some good defense against the army. However as things were now, they wouldn't stand a chance against the king. Axel wondered who was the leader behind this. Suddenly Axel could hear voices in the background now.

"Please just a little rest" could he hear a young man beg one of the soldiers "I have been digging all night. I just need some rest". The soldier sneered.

"Keep working! If you want a break, you will get one when the king sends you to the stars" He yelled at the young adult. He looked scared at the soldier. The boy quickly apologized and returned to his work.

"Please!" begged another voice, an old man, one of the guards "I need food for my children. They are so hungry". The guard sneered and grabbed the back of food, the man was holding. Axel was not liking this at all.

"Unless you can duel you will not get a single bite to eat" the guard yelled at him.

"Oh goodness me" another voice aided to the conversation. Axel noticed it was Aqua and the three fairies "We are all on the same side here". The guard sneered. He was properly gonna hit Aqua, when Axel decided that it was time to meddle.

"Hey!" He said coldly and stopped the man's fist "Forget your manors. You are not suppose to hit a lady". He could see Aqua's eyes lit a little up.

"You came back" she said happily. The guard sneered and got out of his grip. Axel had a feeling the guard was about to hit him as well, and prepared for the attack, but..

"Seize your fighting" yelled a voice suddenly. "The maiden is right. We must work as one. If we don't then the forces of darkness will attack and destroy us all". Axel followed the sound and noticed to figure up on a balcony of a tower. The tower where the leader was living and where they came up with the war plans and stuff like that. Also a place where they could guard if the army penetrated the defenses of the fortress. It was their last line of defense. The figures, if Axel remembered correctly, was two duel monster spirits called "Ancient brain" and "Guardian of the Labyrinth". The one talking however was the guardian's shield though.

"As the last free city, humans and monsters alike has banded together to stop the supreme king and end his reign of darkness" the shield continued.

"I am a soldier" yelled Axel up to the two supposedly leaders "These trenches will not stop his army. We need more duelists to guard the ramparts. Please I know what I am talking about". Ancient brain looked down at him and smirked a little.

"Oh really?!" He questioned and smirked "Perhaps you will like to lead us then? After all the fate of our world should rest in the hands of a stranger". Then the two monster's grinned and began leaving. However before Brain turned around, his eyes meet with Axel's. A weird sensation ran through the boy's body now. Then Brain turned around and walked laughing away. The guard and the other people of course broke up and began leaving to their different homes. Only Axel was standing in the middle of the square now. His eyes narrowed. There were something fishy here. There were something odd about this Brain person and Axel was sure that in that minute their eyes meet, there were some passion there in someway told Axel that this was a challenge. Without no one noticing he walked over to the tower.

Some minutes later Axel was in the room where Brian and his officer was currently staying. Axel hit in the shadows and found out that things really were terribly wrong.

"Hehe did you see that" said the shield from the guardian "I had then believe in every world". Brain nodded and laughed evilly. He walked a little around in the room.

"That is why I love humans. They are so gullible" He said "Without any defenses, the city will be right for their taking. And of course the king will reward us well. We shall cover the world in a veil of darkness. Hehe the age of free humans is over!". Axel snort at his hiding place. Ha, I knew something was wrong here!

"Just one problem! What about the stranger? He looks like a type we really should fear" the shield said. It's holder nodded in agreement. Brain actually grinned a little.

"Oh we shouldn't worry about him. You see he is already here, isn't that right Axel?". Axel snort when he heard Brain come with that statement, and seconds later he walked out of the shadows. Brain had turned towards him and followed him with his eyes. Axel noticed he was smirking evilly.

"That is quite the scheme you two had going. Too bad that you two will not be here to see if that actually works" Axel commented and snort. He looked at brain "So how did you know I was in here?". Brain actually grinned.

"Oh I just guessed you would follow me. After all you are that kind of type who can't pass up a challenge. At least to me that is. After all you ran with your tail between the legs when you were standing in front of our king, or don't you remember Axel?" the monster replied. Axel sneered and clenched his fists.

"Oh you are the one to talk. In our last battle you suddenly made one of your soldiers take the place in the duel, and high tailed out of there" Axel sneered out just as coldly "What about showing me your true face skull knight!". Brain laughed a little and changed into Skullknight. Just as Axel had predicted.

"Oho so you knew it was me" He said and smirked "I didn't high tail it out of there kid. I just did my mission. Burning the village down in the name of our king. Just like I am doing this mission. Invade the fortress so it is easier for our king to claim it". Axel sneered and clenched his fists. That was that village, Ace was from. That event that scared Jim, because of the lost of Ace. Now he was gonna do the same here!

"Not gonna happen" Axel sneered. Skull knight grinned a little.

"Oh so you plan on saving these people. A displaced duelist who is too afraid to stand up to our king. How can you even look at yourself in the mirror, knowing that you ran away" Skullknight said and smirked "After all if you couldn't fight for your friends and the lady our king treasures, then how would you fight for these people?!". He began laughing evilly. He was looking down at the people from one of the windows. Then turned towards Axel.

"I mean look at them. Ignorant little humans. Working with no idea that they are doomed within their own gates" Skull Knight said coldly "And that their one hope, the only man who had a chance to save them is afraid". Axel just snort.

"Being afraid isn't a weakness" He replied "It is the path you take, when you are".

"Who told you that? A fortune lady?" Skull Knight said and laughed a little.

"I have chosen my path skullknight" Axel just replied "And I challenge you to a rematch duel. My wish, information on the king's castle". Skull knight smirked evilly.

"I wouldn't want it any different kid" He said and summoned a duel disk "My wish, you going to the stars. Once you are gone, the world will belong to our supreme king!".

Zane's p.o.v.

Around the same time.

Zane and Aster had just arrived at the location where the prison cave was suppose to be. After their little showdown with the king, Aster and Zane had rushed back to the animals, they had been using to get here, and quickly left. Luckily it was not in a area the king had attacked. Not yet! Zane knew he would. He was still right now surprised that the king had let them go that day. All because of Tara. They had after all saved her life, but Zane had never guessed that the king actually was fair and was keeping his word. Bad guys never kept there word. Almost the law of nature.

"The prison camp is not far from here" Aster said and killed the silence between them. They haven't talked to each other, since that day. At least not an important conversation. Zane nodded. They were walking on a mountain pathway and near the rock wall was lying millions of duel disks. Zane sneered a little.

"Look at all the duel disks" He commented "Guess the king was here. Like the village, it seems like he is dueling anything and everything that get's in his way, besides..".

"..Besides Tara" Aster finished the sentence "Do you believe what Tara told us? That Jaden has been talking over by a spirit?". Zane looked coldly at Aster.

"If Tara says that is the case, then I believe her" He replied "Tara would never lie to us". Aster nodded slowly, but it didn't make him less concerned.

"Then a question, why would the king be doing this? Why use Jaden? Why keeping Tara? What's his agenda with the twins?" Aster slowly asked. Zane sighed deeply.

"If we knew that, we wouldn't be out here" Zane replied and snort. Aster sighed.

"Yeah you are right" He replied "We have to stop the king and find out why he is doing this. But for now, he is too strong for us. We need some help". Zane nodded. They continued their quest towards the prison camp.

Minutes later they were standing close at the prison camp. Not so close that the guard noticed them, but close enough that they could see the camp in the horisont.

"There it is Zane" Aster commented. Zane snort a little.

"Yeah, so got a plan?" He asked. Aster smirked a little.

"Oh yeah, we could sneak down in front of the prison and wait until all the guards fall asleep.." Aster began and smirked "Or we could just blast through that gate and not waist any time, so what do you think?". Zane smirked a little.

"Oh you just have to ask. I am not that type of guy who likes to wait around" Zane replied and activated his duel disk. Aster only smirked as a reply and activated his as well. They summoned "Plasma" and "Cyber end dragon". Then they walked down towards the prison camp.

Haou's p.o.v.

Sort of.. around the same time.

Haou was walking down the hallways at the castle after that hunt on the village. Some time had passed. Haou was not sure how long, he didn't count the days after all. First of all, it was pretty hard telling the days from each other, with no sun or clock to count the time. Secondly to the king it actually didn't matter. All that matters was resolves in conquering this world, finish super polymerisation and keep the twins near him all the time. Or as close as he could. After the attack on the village Tara had, when they returned, without a word walked inside her room and stayed in there ever since. Haou was not fully sure what the reasons were for that. Was it because of seeing him destroying everything in the village, or was it because she had been so close and then now so far away from her boyfriend. Haou knew more about the twins that he ever would admit to them, and if he wanted, he could read Tara's mind and figure out the reason why, but he respected that she needed her privacy. In the same way he respected Jaden's. However now after these couple of days, he was actually a little worried about her. He wondered if he should visit her. He knew she wouldn't starve. The servants brought Tara food and made sure she did eat, but still.. Haou snort. Fine I will visit her when I have the time. Right now I have stuff to do! The king rushed down the corridors towards his destination. The prison where a certain prisoner required his full attention.

After some time the king arrived at a closed one man cell. Haou had moved around in the shadows like he were one with them, which he was, and was therefore not surprised that the guards guarding this place, two duel monsters called "Skull knight 2" and "Boar soldier", flew scared up at the chairs they were sitting at.

"Oink" the boar said and quickly kneeled down "My king, I am sorry. Didn't know you were here. Oink you scared me". The knight kneeled down as well.

"My leash, I apologize as well. How can we be of service?" He said and smiled "May I say it is a deep honor being in your presence". Haou snort a little. Skull knight 2 was one of Skull knight's soldiers, which of course explained why the knight were so loyal to him. The king right now didn't care.

"The prisoner? How is he behaving?" Haou just asked. The two guards both snort.

"Like a little kid my lord" sneered the boar "Yelling our ears out oink".

"Yeah behaving inappropriate for a lieutenant" the knight added "Because he is caught I think his true face is shown". Haou snort, but it actually didn't surprise him either. He had known the vampires true motive all along after all. He just didn't know how he was gonna Try to overthrow him. Haou couldn't be more angry at that. One thing was that he tried to do that, a second thing was that he apparently was gonna use Tara to do it. Haou was furious because of it. He sneered a little.

"I will take care of him myself" He then told them "Have a break. Make Chaos sorcerer meet me here though". The guards bowed once and left. Haou got the keys however and walked a little while after inside the cell. It was pretty dark in here, but Haou was used to the darkness. Therefore he instantly noticed the prisoner who was in chains and bound to the wall. He snort. He made the darkness incase the flames from the torches outside and made them fly in here and light up the cell. One thing was certain, his prisoner should know he was here, AND never forget that he had been here. Haou walked toward the vampire. Baou lifted his head, when he noticed the light and heard the sound of the king's armor hitting the floor. Haou could be soundless, but only if he wanted to be. The vampire smirked a little.

"Oh the Supreme king have finally decided to visit poor little me" He said in a mocking tone "What's the problem? Was I not important enough? I had intentions of hurting your precious little treasure after all". Haou didn't say a thing. He was staring coldly at the vampire. He began circling around the now confused vampire.

"Oh is this a silence treatment" Baou said and snort "I thought you were this big bad king, who killed and tortured people without mercy. If starving and silence treatment is my punishment, then you not as dangerous as people says you are". Haou was still ignoring him and if the vampire was smart, he would notice the tense and dark aura around the king. Haou was ignoring him, but he was not deaf. He was still listening. However sadly Baou was an idiot.

"After all.." He continued "You care for a human girl. You even shared your powers with her, even though we both know she is worthless human". Haou still didn't say anything, but he had stopped up in front of the vampire now. Baou could finally figure out that something was wrong and stopped talking. Haou lifted an eyebrow.

"Are you finished now?" He questioned coldly. Baou sneered, but didn't say anything now. Haou took that as a yes "Good, then I can tell you why I am here. I will not fulfil it". Baou looked puzzled and angry at him.

"Fulfil it?" He questioned "What the hell are you talking about?". Haou smirked.

"Your wish. You want me to kill you. That's why you behave like this" He said coldly "But death is far to good for you. You will find out that soon enough". Baou gulped.

"What do you mean?" he said, but Haou slammed a fist at his chest. Baou gasped.

"Hurt? Good! You insulted Tara. She is NOT worthless!" Haou said and smirked "But now to the more important stuff. Your education!". Baou groaned a little in pain.

"Education?! What education? I thought you were here to punish me?" He said slowly. Haou smirked inside. The vampire was clearly confused now.

"Chaos will do that" the king replied coldly and grabbed his chin "You will get punished, not by me though. Your education is of higher priority. After all, You. Wanted to. Take. Something. That. Was. Mine!!". The vampire was shivering with fear, but Haou was not done with him yet. He sneered a little. 

"You wanted to hurt her and turning her into.. a foul creature like you" He continued in a monotone cold voice "Lied to me, and would have used her to overthrone me?!".

"I.. I.. Yes I would have done that" Baou sneered angry back "If these humans hadn't meddled, she would have been mine and..". Haou cut him up by squeezing his throat.

"Shut your mouth! Tara don't belong to anyone" Haou said coldly "She serves me! Therefore are mine! The only place she belongs, is with her brother". The vampire was gasping for air now. The king let go of him before he passed out. He couldn't after all let him lose conscious right now. The vampire coughed a little. Haou snort. He was about to say something more, when a knock on the door could be heard. Chaos was standing in the door. Behind him was the two guards from before. They all kneeled down in front of him before Chaos spoke.

"My master. Is this a bad time? You asked me to come?" the sorcerer asked. "We can wait outside if that is the case". Haou snort a little.

"No, stay I need witnesses" He stated coldly "Write and announce this to the army. Baou, leader of the vampire clan. From now on, you will no longer bear the rank as a lieutenant. You are demoted down to a simple slave. MY slave which I will educate myself. You will serve me and my lieutenants until you have shown me and Tara some true loyalty. Then maybe your rank as lieutenant is returned or I kill you. Whichever you prefer". Baou looked shocked at him. Haou ignored him. He touched the vampire's chest and neck. A black collar appeared around his neck and a small chain attached itself to his chest. A sign he belonged to the king. Haou snort. He began walking out of the room. He could see Chaos and the others bow to him.

"Begin his punishment" the king said and then looked at Baou "We will see each other tomorrow Vampire". Then he left the cell.

Ember's p.o.v.

Ember, Syrus and Ojama yellow was standing on a little rocky cliff and was looking at the fortress in the horizontal. Ember must admit that was a pretty big fortress. Pretty big and scary. Apparently Ojama yellow was thinking the same thing.

"We are not really going in there, are we Sy, Ember?" He questioned in a scared tone "It looks too scary! Let's find a nice meadow instead, with some gentle rocks and..".

"You know there doesn't exist a place like that here" Ember interrupted him and smiled "If there were, we would properly be there right now". Syrus nodded.

"Yeah beside being in there is much more safer than out here" Syrus added and jumped down from the rock and began walking towards the fortress. Yellow sighed.

"You know he is right" Ember pointed out and Yellow sighed again. Then suddenly some rumble could be heard and both Ember and Yellow turned around.

"Hey wasn't there someone there? I think someone is following us" Yellow said "That is the second time I..". Ember snort a little.

"I didn't see a thing" she replied coldly and snort "Your eyes are playing tricks on you". Yellow's eyes narrowed a little.

"But I was sure that was.. but maybe it wasn't" Mumbled yellow confused "They didn't look the same after all". Ember didn't comment that. She knew full well who was following them. Her Jesse, or in this case Yubel. Ember didn't believe that Yubel would let Jesse go so easy after all. If she had wouldn't Jesse approach her? But wasn't Yubel about to kill me? Why aren't she doing that now? It is not like Syrus and I are any match for her, so what is her agenda?

"Hey Ember? Ojama? What is taking you so long?" could they hear Syrus yell in the background. Ember and Ojama quickly rushed over to him.

"Um nothing, just daydreaming" Ember replied. Ojama looked back again,

"Yeah but I think someone is following us" Yellow replied "Although it couldn't have been him could it?". Ember snort a little.

"Stop being paranoid" she said coldly when Syrus lifted an eyebrow "I didn't notice anyone. Let's just keep going". She began walking towards the fortress. The two boys looked at each other and began following Ember towards the fortress.

Axel's p.o.v.

Axel: 4000Lp.

Skull knight: 4000Lp.

"Don't be frightened" Skull knight said and grinned. He placed a monster and a card facedown. Then he ended his turn. Axel looked at the lieutenant. That was an quick opening move. There must be more to it. Axel looked at his hand. He was currently holding two spells, two traps and two monsters. He snort and activated quickly the spell "Blaze accelerator" and immediately sended it to the grave so he could activate "Tri-blaze accelerator". If he sended a pyro type monster from his hand to the grave, like "Volcanic scattershot", Axel could now destroy skull knight's facedown monster and inflict 500 points of damage. The only catch was that he couldn't attack this turn.

"So any last words?" He told the lieutenant and skull knight smirked.

"As a matter of fact yes, it says trap card" he told him and activated the trap "Reverse effector". This card could flip his monster up in attack mode, so it's flip effect could be activated. The monster was called "Magical merchant" and it's effect was that Skull knight now could draw from his deck until he found a spell card, which he could add to his hand. As for all the other cards he drew, if there were any monster cards, they were sent to his grave. Axel noticed a pile of monsters.

"Hold on was that 12 cards?" He questioned and saw the lieutenant smirk.

"Yes it was. All for this little beauty here" He replied and was holding up a spell card, but actually couldn't see what kind of spell it was. Secondly he actually didn't care. Skull knight wasn't finished yet. Because of the trap, he now also had to sent his monster on his field to the grave, which then evaded Axel's canon and therefore no damage. Axel snort. He may had evaded his canon, but since scattershot was sent to the grave, 500 points of damage was heading towards the lieutenant anyway.

"And I am not done yet" Axel said "I summon 'Volcanic slicer' to my field, and guess what, this monster is gonna slice 500 more life points from you. As long as I don't attack". Skull knight got hit by a giant fireball and lost 500 life points.

"He that kind of tickles" He said in a mocking tone. Axel snort and placed two facedown's and ended his turn. Skull knight was up. He played the ritual spell card "Synthesis spell" he got last round. He sacrificed his "Mad dog of darkness" and "Voice raider" so that it equals the ritual's monster's lv. Then he summoned the monster "Lycanthrope" in att mode. Axel sneered.

"2400 att points" he commented. That monster was stronger than his.

"Yes and to add some bite I activate the spell 'Undead lineage'" Skull knight told him "Boosting his att with 500 points in the damage step. Now that something to howl about isn't it? And if you try to destroy him with an eff, the spell takes the hit instead. That makes your accelerator pretty useless". Axel sneered. He is right! What do I do? Skull knight made the monster attack and destroyed Axel's monster. He got 1100 points of damage. However Axel quickly revealed his trap "Volcanic armor". Since he just destroyed a pyro type monster, the lieutenant got his with 500 points of damage. A fire blast hit the lieutenant now, but Skull knight was still smirking.

"Ha, how cute, you thought a little heatwave would make me sweat this duel?! To bad lycanthrope's eff activates. Any time he deals damage in battle he gives 200 extra points of damage for every normal type monster in my grave" He told Axel.

"Say what?" said Axel a little shocked. Skull knight smirked evilly.

"There is 14 normal monsters in my grave, so you little mortal boy will soon have a lot of lifepoint bitten off" He said and grinned. Axel sneered.

"So that was why you sended all these cards to the grave?" Axel questioned.

"Just thinking ahead" He said and made the monster sent blue flame arrows towards Axel because of his monster's eff. After the assault Axel only had 100 life points left.

"You're doomed little mortal" Skull knight continued "You will never be able to defeat lycanthrope. It is over! I know you want to run coward, but you will never get away, because your destiny is with the stars Axel haha!". Axel sneered. In the background he could hear the guardian and the shield mock him and call him a coward. Axel clenched his fists. Come on Axel! Keep it together! You promised Jim that you would help the twins and you can't help them, if you can't beat this stupid lieutenant.

"It is my turn!" yelled Axel and drew. He smiled a little when he saw what card he drew. "Guess what, I know you all think am I a coward, but I am afraid this next move will have you all shaking in your duel disk. I sacrifice my accelerator, so I can summon 'Volcanic doomfire' to the field". Skull knight sneered.

"3000 att, that is a lot of firepower" he commented. Axel just snort and activated his "Volcanic mine" trap card. With this he could summon "Bomb tokens" to all skull knight's unused monster zones. That was four tokens. He made his doomfire attack Skull knight's wolf and dealt some damage. Axel smirked.

"Was that hot enough for you?" He asked and snort "Then get ready for here comes some heat. Doomfire's eff activated. Since it destroyed a monster in battle it automatically destroys every other monster on the field. Every time a token is destroyed you will take 500 points of damage. It is over skullknight". Skull Knight looked in horror, when all the tokens suddenly exploded and made his life points hit zero. A lot of smoke got created. Axel noticed Skull knight's follower. He looked shocked that his master was beaten. Axel couldn't care less.

"Not spill up. What kind of information do you have on the caste" He yelled at Skull knight. The smoke slowly disappeared. He could hear the lieutenant laugh though.

"I am not sharing anything with you" He replied and grinned. Axel could see the lieutenant now. He was glowing a little "I won't betray our king, then death is prefered. You may have defeated me Axel, but you will fall before the king. Haha! I will see you again Axel and then I can get a rematch.. among the stars". When he said the last line, the lieutenant fell out of the window and hit the main square. A lot of people was there. Etc Aqua. Axel noticed Skull knight change into ancient brain, before turning to stardust. Axel sighed relieved. The people here now knew their former leader had betrayed them. He quickly grabbed the guardian and his shield and tied them up. Then he went down to the people.

When Axel came down the tower, he was meet by a big group of people who wanted to know what happened. Aqua was one of them. Axel told them what had happened and about the scheme they had been planing. They were all for a second happy, until they realised that it didn't change a thing. The king was still coming and they were out a commander. Suddenly Axel felt a hand on his shoulder and Aqua was standing behind him. She was smiling to the people.

"We have a commander.. right here" she said and pointed at Axel.

"Wait where?!" Axel said shocked. Suddenly people were standing around him, asking him to become their leader. He did take out skull knight after all.

"I am flattered, but I can't" Axel replied and looked down at his feet.

"Yes you can!" encouraged Aqua and smiled "I knew when I meet you, your eyes tells the truth. You were born to lead. You have a strong heart and a strong will. You inspire confidence in others". As a proof, Axel noticed a little boy with a dagger. He was standing a little behind Aqua, but his eyes were filled with determination. Axel looked around on all the people around him. They were waiting for his reply and leadership. Aqua asked him again to become their hero and give them the conviction to fight. Axel sighed deeply. He was not sure what to do. He looked up at the comment, as if it could give him the answer he needed. Jim, what shall I do? I am not sure I am cut out to this! As a response the comet's color turned a little red for a second, and Axel felt like he was hit by a strange force.

"Well you should be mate!" A voice said in his head. Axel knew it was Jim's. "This is your chance to dig in your feet and take a stand. These people need you, and you need them. I am sadly not with yer. Tara needs me more, but I am with you in your heart and conviction. I will be waiting for you to claim me when the time comes!". Axel nodded inside his head, and he could feel the power leave him once again.

"Okay I am in!" he told the people and they began all cheering in happiness. Axel began ordering them all around. They should stop making trenches. All duelists should assemble in front of him, because they needed some battalions. He was gonna assemble them after skills. Axel then approach the brave little boy and gave him an very important mission. He should assemble all kids and take refuge in the mountain caves. The boy nodded happily and promised he would keep everyone safe. Then he rushed off to carry on his mission. Everyone began running around and carry out their different orders. Axel had given everyone hope. In the background, without anyone noticing, was two hooded kids and an Ojama standing and looking at everything that was happening. They were very happy and grateful. Finally things were beginning to turn their way.

"Big trouble" yelled suddenly one of the guardpost on the ramparts "An army descents from the mountain rich". Axel and Aqua turned towards the guard.

"Already?" Axel replied and looked at his people "Well this it is. It is time for battle". Axel and his group of duelists rushed out of the fortress and was armed with their duel disks. In the horizontal they could see a giant dust cloud.

"Man your duel disks" said one of the soldiers, but Axel shook his head.

"Not so fast. We will wait" he told them. The warriors looked puzzled at him "Let them come to us!". Then on the pathway the dust cloud slowly disappeared. A herd of monsters could be seen and in the front was a familiar metal dragon. Aster and Zane could be seen, along with a crow of people as well as duel monster. Etc. like the "king knight", "Queen's knight" and "Jack's knight".

"I know that monster" Axel said and smiled "At ease everyone. They are friends and it looks like they brought reinforcements". Everyone was yelling happily.

"We thought you could use some backup Axel" said Aster and smiled as well. Axel nodded. That was very appreciated.

Time skip.

"So let me get this straight, after you got sucked into that portal, you have been roaming around this world looking for us?!" He questioned. Zane, Aster and Axel was assembled in the tower's meeting room, where Skull knight's follower also was tied up with rope and was under surveillance by Axel.

"Yeah that's about it" Aster replied and smiled "We hoped you might be here. One of the king's guards told us about this place". Zane nodded in agreement.

"He also told us the king was about to attack here" He added. Axel nodded.

"Well he told the truth. We caught a spy of his" He replied and pointed at the prisoner behind him "Just in time. So where did you find that army?".

"We rages one of the supreme king's prison camps" Aster replied "Rescued a couple of duelists. After all if we are talking on all these bad guys, we can need all the help we can get". Zane nodded a little. He was eyeing Aster for a while.

"Yes after all we need to save my girlfriend Tara" Zane then said and caught Axel a little by surprise. Then he looked calmly at them.

"You know about Tara?" He questioned "Do you know Jaden is possessed by..".

".. The king! Yes we do!" Aster replied and sighed "After all we meet Tara in a village. She explained he was possessed by a spirit called the supreme king. Although I am not sure how she knows that. After all the king looks like Jaden".

"We shall not question Tara in this case" Axel said and sighed "She speaks the truth. Me and Jim as well as Tara witnessed it. Although that knowledge costed Jim the duel and now he is by the stars". Aster and Zane looked at him.

"So what is the plan?" Aster questioned. Axel sighed.

"You and your army, stay here and keeps these people safe" He told them.

"Um what are you talking about Axel?" Aster questioned confused. Axel sighed.

"These people mean well, but most of them aren't fighters. They are tired. They are scared. There is no way they could take on an army of dueling fiends. Fighting here is a last resort". Zane and Aster looked down at the people from the window.

"Well you got a point" Zane pointed out "So what do you have in mind?".

"I am packing up the brawl and taking it to the supreme king" Axel said.

"What? By yourself?" Aster questioned. Axel sighed and nodded.

"It would have been to risky to leave these people alone, but if you guys hang out here I can go. After all I promised Jim I would save the twins and Tara, that I would get her out of there" He said "And yeah alone. That is how I roll". Zane and Aster eyed each other and Axel noticed that Zane and Aster actually was smiling a little.

"Well we'll rolling right along with you" Aster told him. "Our skills are best served with you. Beside if you knock the supreme king around for a little bit, these people won't need protecting". Axel looked a little surprised at them.

"Oh, and what if I fail?!" He questioned. Aster smiled.

"That's why you need us. It is not like you are gonna be able to stroll right up to the big guy. There could be guards, booby traps. This blitz tactic of yours calls for some special infiltration and I got an idea. Maybe our little friend here would help us" He said and had walked over to the prisoner with a creepy smirk on his face.

"I.. we will not help you with anything" the shield said defensive and the wielder nodded as well. Zane snort and walked over to prisoner as well.

"Give me five minutes. Then I am sure he will talk" he said and clenched his hands.

"As promising as that sounds Zane" Aster quickly interrupted "I don't think brutal strength is the answer here. He kind of need to be alive to show us these shortcuts I am thinking about. Leave him to me. This calls for finesse and that is my speciality". Zane snort a little but didn't comment on that. Axel sighed a little.

"Well I think we need to disguise ourselves. So we need to get some uniforms as well" He added and looked around "Maybe someone knows where we can get some to impersonate some monsters at the army".

"Hmm I just hope they have my size" Zane said. Aster grinned a little.

"Ah all these fiends are tall and toughest. You will be fine" Aster said and grinned.

"Okay that sound like a plan" Axel said "We will infiltrate the castle. Find Tara and the king. Hopefully if I can beat him, the spirit controlling Jaden would leave. If not, then I will go to the stars knowing I have tried". Aster and Zane looked at him.

"Hmm yeah, but is it a little risky" Aster asked "I mean there must be a reason the king was able to get a hold on Jaden". Axel bit his lip a little.

"Well if we only knew the truth" he said a little while after. Zane eyes narrowed.

"What truth?" He questioned. Axel sighed a little.

"It all began with Jesse" He said "What if Jesse was save and sound somewhere? If Jaden knew that, it might give him the strength to fight from within". Zane nodded.

"Hmm yeah well that kind of made sense" he said "So how do we get the word about Jesse". Axel bit his lip.

"I think I got it" He said "I need to talk to the three fairies. Let's say we leave tomorrow. Then we have all had a good night's sleep and food hopefully". Zane and aster nodded.

"Sounds like a plan" Aster commented "I also need a little time to make plans and interrogate this guy here and we need to find some uniforms. Secondly I don't think the king will attack right away. He just destroyed the village to the west. He need to assemble the army and make plans just like we shall. After all he is not an idiot I hope". Zane snort a little.

"You are talking about Jaden you know" He replied and grinned "But I think the king is a lot smarter than Jaden. I just hope Tara can endure staying there until we arrive".

"Tara can handle the king I am sure" Aster said and smiled a little. Zane and Axel nodded. Just you wait Tara and Jaden. We will come to your rescue soon!

A,N: Well that was that. Not the most interesting one, but it has a lot of important info so I figured it was important to write. As for the next chapter. It is an extra chapter with Tara and Haou once again. The last one before the guys tries to infiltrate the castle. Hope they success. However as for the next chapter, there will be surprising events. Some of Haou's secrets is revealed and in the end I think they both will see each other in a new light. After all Tara is unpredictable as... well Jaden. Hope it sounds interesting!
