Mysterious p.o.v.

In the background somewhere in the arena where most of our friends were assembled, someone were watching the group and this duel unfold.

"Here she is sir" said a voice and growled. "Shall we take her now?".

"No not now" another voice replied "The time is not right".

"But I thought master's order was to get her" a third voice added "So why aren't we getting her? She is standing there, and it is not like those people around her, would be a threat to us at all". The second voice sneered.

"I said no" that voice replied coldly "But you are right, these people here are no match for us at all". All of them sneered in agreement.

"Remember master's last order. They want to know the end of the duel as well" a fourth voice added "However it does make me a little itchy to wait".

"Patience, patience my friend, when the duel is over, we will make our move. Plan formation G" the second voice replied. The others nodded and continued watching this duel.

Jaden's p.o.v.

Jaden: 1800Lp.

Baou: 3000Lp.

Back at the duel with Jaden and the vampire. Jaden was still staring out in the air with that horrified expression, while staring at polymerization. Ojama yellow had quickly floated over and looked at Jaden's shoulder, so he could see his hand. There after he had rushed over to the others again, before Jaden actually noticed.

"I peeked over Jaden's shoulder and he is holding the polymerization card right there in his hand" Ojama yellow told the others.

"Then what is he waiting for?" Bastion questioned "An invite?".

"When he was the supreme king, he did some messed up things with this card" Syrus slowly explained and sighed "And he still feels bad about using it".

"I am stuck" Jaden then said and turned towards his friends. Bastion sneered.

"Well then I recommend that you unstuck yourself Jaden" He replied angry "You know what to do". The others of Jaden's friends nodded. They all wanted him to use polymerization. Jaden was staring again, but whenever he touched it, his finger was shaken. He just couldn't play it. Then he could hear the vampire laugh once again.

"Please don't bother little Jaden. We both know you don't have what it takes" He said and smirked evilly "You don't have the same power to use it as the king did. Why don't you just surrender yourself. It will make it more easier for both of us".

"I.. I.. I don't know" Jaden murmured and dropped his duel disk arm towards the ground. He felt so weak and scared right now. Baou smirked at that.

"Be reasonable Jaden. If you surrender, you won't have to duel or worry about anything" The vampire tempted "After all I own you then. I might even lessen your punishment and keep your alive. Or as a vampire. I haven't really decided on that, but I will punish you. You humiliated me a lot as the king, but that is understandable. You did some really bad things after all". Jaden nodded weakly. He hadn't noticed that he was actually looking into the vampire's eyes right now, who was flashing red. He also didn't listen to the yelling voices from his friends, who said he should snap out of it. He was locked in between the red flashing eyes and tempting voice of the vampire.

"Yeah" Jaden mumbled in a faint voice "I deserve that. I hurt a lot of people". He lifted his duel disk and was slowly reaching for his deck to place his hand over it and surrender. He actually felt good doing that. Then he had nothing to worry about. No pressure. No Yubel to take care of. Nothing at all. He was holding his hand almost at his deck when he could hear the vampire laugh evilly again,

"Yes that is right, little Jaden, surrender. Surrender and become mine" he said in a grinning mocking voice "And don't worry, you will not be all alone. Your sister will join you soon. She will differently become a vampire though. A nice little tool or trophy to keep, don't you think?". Jaden jerked by that. The vampire was still laughing like hell, and didn't notice that Jaden had stopped up. He was no longer influenced by the vampire's tempting voice. However he was still staring into his eyes, but they were no longer filled with sadness. They were determined.

"What did you say?" Jaden said slowly and clenched one of his fists "You dare talk about My sister in that way". Baou instantly stopped grinning. Jaden's eyes flashed golden for a second. Then they returned to normal.

"I.. you shouldn't be able to.." Baou said stunned. Jaden snort.

"Vampires. They have a voice of temptation. Or some have. However it only works when you have something to tempt the person with" Jaden told him and his head hurt a little. It took him a minute to realise that it was the king's few leftover memories. Or so did he think. Jaden actually didn't care right now. He sneered at the vampire.

"I am not gonna let you get away with this" He continued "I remember now. You wanted to hurt Tara when I, the king, was in charge here. You are not using my sister for anything. You can hurt, mock and maybe even use me for your benefits, but you are keeping your filthy hands away from my sister". Baou looked surprised at him. So did everyone else. However Jaden's friends at least knew Jaden could angry when someone hurt Tara. He had shown that many times when etc. Tara had disappeared at their first year. Jaden had flipped out because of that. It was the same way he acted now. He was always protecting Tara. He had promised he would. Then Baou smirked.

"Big words boy, but it changes nothing. You can still not use polymerization" he pointed out. Jaden looked down at his hand. It was true he couldn't use that card. He still trembled just by touching it, but maybe.. Jaden looked around in his hand.

"There is other ways to win a duel" he then proclaimed. "I sent polymerization to my grave". The others looked all stunned at him.

"What? What is that going to accomplish?" Tanja asked confused.

"He just can't do it" Syrus commented "He just can't use it". Ember nodded.

"But he said there were other ways to win, maybe Jaden has a plan" Ember questioned. The others looked at her and shrugged. That could be the case. A little while later they didn't get disappointed. Jaden had played the "revoke fusion" spell card. By sending polymerization to the grave, as well as sent the fusion card "E.H wildedge" from his extra deck to the grave, Jaden could now summon one of the fusion material monster from his hand to the field in att mode. Like "E.H. Bladedge". Then he uses the spell "Masked hero". By sending "Avian" from his deck to the grave, Bladedge now became avian and gained it's eff as well, for the rest of this turn. Then he activated "Feather shot". Since Bladedge now was treated as Avian, he could use this card and bladedge could attack as many times as monsters on the field. Baou didn't look so good. He attacked and destroyed his twinheaded beast.

"Ah stupid me, I was too busy mocking you, to build a good defense" Baou sneered.

"Well your missed your chance" Jaden replied coldly "Or have you forgotten feather shot's eff". Baou looked scared now. He had forgotten that Jaden still had wildheart on the field, which stated that Jaden had yet another attack. He attacked and destroyed his other monster. By that the vampire was out of life points. The blast sended the vampire down on the ground. Jaden sighed deeply. He had won without using polymerization. He looked over at the vampire.

"And now to my wish" he stated coldly, but suddenly the vampire began laughing.

"Don't bother Jaden. I wouldn't accept it no matter what anyway" he replied and grinned "I will go to the stars. However you are still ruthless. You are stating you are not the king, but I don't believe you. You can take the kids out of the supreme king's clutches, but you can't keep the kids away from the king forever. Don't you see, you and your sister belongs with the king. He chose you and your fates are tangled together forever. There is no escaping it. Ahaha". By these words the vampire began to glow and soon after he turned to stardust. Jaden frowned by that. What did he mean by that? Fates tangled together? What was all that about? Jaden snort a little. It was not like he believed that evil vampire anyway.

"Well done Jaden" could he suddenly hear someone say behind him, and Jaden turned around and noticed Bastion and Tanja. They were both smiling at him.

"Thanks Bastion" Jaden replied and smiled a tiny smile. He looked at Tanja "Tanja I am really glad you are safe". The amazon warrior nodded.

"And sound" Tanja replied "We manage to save the realm we were in. The enemies was captured, order restored and our friends are all okay, but the fight isn't done. We won the battle, but our enemies still may win the war".

"That's right, if we don't stop the one who is behind all this, well then we are all pretty much cooked" Bastion added. Jaden frowned. He was not liking this.

"Okay so what do we do? Who's behind this?" He questioned "Have you guys figured that one out yet?". Bastion looked at him with determined eyes and nodded.

"Yes, indeed we have. Now let me try to explain what this is" He replied and took up 12 small stones from the ground and placed them in a circle "You see the universe, used to be composed of 12 different dimensions. Each of them making up for the space and time circle. Now every dimension is starting to overlap". He showed this by making all the stones in a giant pile now. Tanja nodded slowly.

"If this keeps up all 12 dimensions will become one" she added in.

"So what will happen if they all merged together?" Jaden questioned. He was really confused now. Bastion and Tanja shrugged.

"We are really not sure" Tanja replied. Jaden frowned. This didn't sound good.

"So how do we stop this. Is someone making this happen?" he questioned.

"The same somebody who controlled Viper and Marcel, and came after you and your sister" Bastion replied and sighed "It is Yubel". Jaden sighed deeply by that.

"Of course. Yubel. Then this is all my fault" he said in a sad voice.

"Just get a grip" Bastion said and sneered "It is not your fault. Did you make Yubel evil? You most certainly did not. Did you ask Yubel to try and take over the universe, No! If anything, you and your sister's special powers is the key to stopping Yubel".

"Yeah right" said Jaden and looked down in the ground "Except we don't have any special powers Bastion". Tanja snort at that.

"Yes you two do" Tanja replied firmly "Maybe you are not aware of them, but Yubel is after something. Think about it. The powers you had, when you were the king. Those didn't come from nowhere". Jaden looked surprised at him.

"Okay but if that's the case. These powers, I don't have them. Haou, the supreme king does" he replied and looked away. He didn't want to remember Haou right now.

"Listen, you won't like this, but some of the stuff that vampire said was true" Bastion replied firmly "You, Tara, and the king are tangled together by fate. A fate who looks like is something you can't escape from". Jaden looked puzzled at him.

"While researching around about this world, Bastion and I stumbled over some old papers in an old library" Tanja continued "It stated that there once lived a King, dark as the night itself and was one with the darkness. However for some reason he died many, many centuries ago. We don't really know why he died, but it is said that the king talked about that he one day would be reborned and live again. We are not even sure that legend is true. Then later a prophet spoke about a prophecy. It says something about a king as well". Jaden looked a little stunned. A king as dark as the night itself and was one with the darkness. That can only be Haou. Jaden shook his head. This was all to much for him right now. He looked at Bastion.

"So.. do you know if Haou is the king? I mean you said he got reborned" he then questioned. Bastion and Tanja both sighed.

"We actually believe that part of the legend is true" Bastion then said "Even though we are a little uncertain, why the king in someway lives as a spirit or ghost. Since he got reborn he shouldn't be a spirit should he?". Jaden shrugged. He may have the ability to talk to duel monster spirits, but he was not expert on the whole concept on ghosts and spirits. He wondered however if Tara knew. She was a know it all sometimes. In the background he noticed that Ember and Syrus were listening to the conversation as well. It looked like they found it interesting.

"We believe" began Tanja and coughed a little to get his attention "That the king has been reborn again. Actually we believe that you Jaden and your sister Tara are the reincarnation of the king". Jaden's eyes widened in horror.

"Wait what?" He yelled up "Why do you think that? I agree I look like Haou, but that doesn't mean I am him. I mean Tara is a girl and well that doesn't make any sense, and even if it did. We not him!". Bastion sighed deeply.

"I believe you are Jaden" he said slowly "We believe the king got reborn as twins. We also believe that the king, shared his power with both of you". Jaden sneered angry.

"Oh and on what proof" he yelled "There could be millions of people who could get reborned as the king, and even if it is twins, why should it be me and Tara?".

"Well actually we also found the prophecy" Bastion said slowly "You know the one Sartorius talked about when he was possessed by the light. He referred to a prophecy and he always believed it was you and Tara as the chosen ones.'When the world and universe is on a verge of destruction, a prophecy tell us about a pair of twins who will bring a great change to the world. Born in light or resurrected in darkness, they decide the fate of the world. When the tidal changes and a comet turns, a friend walks lost and the rise of the king will begin. Two souls will be torned and a bandage will fall. The eye sees the truth. A friend shows us the way. When two souls fights as one, a path will open. Then the world and universe is at stake. What lies beyond is out of our reach. However without the king and the guardian nothing will reign. Only if the king and guardian is fighting as one. Then fate and hope will never cease to exist'. That is the prophecies words Jaden". Jaden looked stunned at the words. He couldn't understand it at all. Where was the proof that he and Tara was these twins?

"We both believe it is you and your sister they talk about" Tanja began and sighed "Bastion told me about the events of the light of destruction. You both got influenced by it's power. Secondly you walked lost Jaden and..".

"Axel was the friend who showed me the way" Jaden mumbled "And me and Tara are torn now. Why do we have to be the ones from that stupid prophecy. I don't want anything with the king. He is evil. I turned evil". Bastion snort.

"You feel bad about everything you did?" he said and grabbed Jaden's arm "Well then this your chance to do something about it. Your chance to put right what you made wrong. Sure the king is strong and. powerful, but if you learn to control it, his powers are yours". Jaden looked shocked at him.

"You are saying I should let him in again?" he questioned scared "But he is merciless. I can't do it guys".

"You are not really getting it. The king's power is already dwelling inside of you two. You two are the reincarnation of the king, like it or not. But as long as you are scared of that part of you, you will never be the great duelist you two were meant to be" Bastion yelled at Jaden. Tanja nodded as well.

"We are counting on you. Don't let us down" she added. Jaden looked down at the ground. He was not sure he could do any of these thing. Winged kuriboh appeared beside him as well, and Jaden knew what he had to do. He needed to talk to his sister. They needed to face each other again. After that he was not sure, but he knew that together they could properly come up with a solution. They always did. He could feel that Bastion had let go of his arm again. He apologized for shouting at him, but Jaden really didn't care there. He knew his friends only tried to peptalk him. He was about to suggest to his friends that they should return to Zane and Tara, when something happened. A scream could suddenly be heard. Jaden turned instantly around and saw Ember and Syrus surrounded by 4 different animals. A eagle, a pegasus, a cat and a tiger. Jaden eyes widened. He was sure he had seen them somewhere before. Ember let out yet another scream, when the eagle was flying around and was attacking her with the claws and beaks. Syrus was trying to help her, was kept away by the cat and tiger.

"Nice kitty" he said slowly and backed away "Will someone help us here?".

"Syrus, Ember" yelled Jaden up and rushed over there, but in that moment the eagle rised to the sky and rushed after him. It let out a little scream.

"I am doing my part of the mission" the eagle said "You do yours roger?".

"I understand. We will take care of the rest cobalt" the pegasus said and grabbed Ember and tossed her up on it's back. Jaden could hear Ember complain a lot. That was until the cat knocked her out with it's tail. Then they rushed out of there. The tiger and cat disappeared and the pegasus flew away with an unconscious Ember.

"Ember!" Jaden yelled and sneered at the eagle "Come down here, you blasted bird. Where did your friends take her?". The eagle actually flew in front of Jaden was now floating in the air. Then it squeaked.

"Hello Jaden. Don't worry about the girl, you will see her again" It said "My master needs a little talk with her. He also awaits your arrival".

"Your master.." Jaden began, but then his eyes widened. "You are..".

Tara's p.o.v.

Time skip.

Tara was sitting on the ground and was hovering over Zane, who was also lying at the ground, while his head was placed up at one of the stone's around here. Tara had just placed a wet towel at his forehead. Crowler had placed a extra blanket over him.

"Okay here, nice and comfortable, how does that feel?" he questioned.

"What is the point?" Zane questioned and sighed "My heart is gonna give in". Tara shook wildly her head. She couldn't believe this was happening to her beloved Zane. Crowler began a long speech about that everyone had to die sometimes. That and something about having regrets. Zane looked up at both of them and sighed.

"But still, you two shouldn't be nursing about me" He said a little proudly "I am not worth your effort". At that Tara sneers and tossed another towel in the face of him.

"Now you listen here, Zane Truesdale" she yelled and points an angry finger at him. Tears were shown in her eyes now "I did not wait almost a year for you, to hear you say something like that. Do you know how I feel about this? I feel kind of angry I tell you. Finding out you have been underground dueling was already terrible enough. Finding out these shock collars you used in the duel with Syrus actually damaged your heart, is even more worse. It took me a lot of courage to tell you the truth and ask you to return to me you know, and I am not gonna see you die here, because you were being too prideful and not tell me the truth from the get go. So shut up, swallow your pride, lay down and relax and let me take care of you". Zane eyed her a little. Tara stared angry at him, while tears kept falling down on Zane's cheek. He had of course removed the towel from his face and looked up at his crying girlfriend.

"You know I am the one lying down relaxing" Zane slowly pointed "You are the one flipping out right now". Tara sneered angry.

"Well excuse me for caring about my boyfriend" she sneered "But it looks like you don't care. Maybe I should just leave then". She got up and was about to leave when Zane slowly had grabbed Tara's hand.

"No stay. I am sorry Tara. You are right I am too prideful" He commented "Please stay with me. At least in my final hour". Tara sneered, but sat down beside him.

"You are not going to die" she snort "We are both gonna get out of here alive. We are gonna live happily ever after. So stay positive and try to relax Zane". Zane smiled.

"If you say so Tara" he replied and squeezed her hand.

"Ah young love" said Crowler and cupped his face with the towel "So sweet. I think I will write a poem about it when we come home". Tara turned quickly red.

"Crowler!" she said in an embarrassed voice. Zane chuckled by that.

"Tara, you are pretty cute when you blush you know" he replied with a smirk.

"Zane!" Tara said and felt even more embarrassed. Zane smiled at her. Then he suddenly got up from the ground. He had a determined look on his face.

"You should lay down Zane. Your heart can't take more stress" Crowler told him.

"Maybe not, but we have some company arriving" Zane replied coldly "Look over there". He pointed at the door, Jaden had been about to enter. Tara followed his gaze and saw that the door suddenly opened. Out walked a person with teal blue hair and was dressed in blue jeans, dark blue west with belt straps in front of him and beneath was a black tank top. Tara's eyes widened. It was Jesse. Zane walked a little forward and Tara just instantly followed. There were something weird about him.

"It's Jesse" Crowler said stunned "You are okay. So good to see you. I just knew you were okay..". He began running over to Jesse, but Zane stopped him. Tara looked surprised up at him. Zane looked at her and then back at Jesse.

"You should both stay back" Zane commented, but Tara shook her head.

"I am not leaving you" she replied firmly "And don't try to change my mind Zane". Zane sighed. He had realised that Tara wasn't going to listen to him. He turned towards Jesse who looked around at first. Then his gaze turned to Zane and Tara.

"Hmm at least one of the twins is here" Jesse commented "So where is Jaden?".

"Oh he is around here somewhere" Zane replied and smirked "But first things first. You got some explaining to do. so tell us, what have you been up to, beside losing your sudden draw". Jesse smirked a little and looked at Tara for a moment.

"Never you mind that Zane. A new day dawns" Jesse said which confused Tara a lot.

"Does it really?" Zane replied with a smirk.

"Yes, I already got the first half here, and my cobalt eagle should bring the other half here soon" Jesse replied and smirked a evil smile "Before long, the fabric of all things will be undone. Then rewoven so that all dimensions will become one. The great eye will see it all. Haha". Tara's eyes widened. There were differently something wrong here, and what did he mean by the other half? Zane's eyes narrowed. He was staring coldly at Jesse as well. Then he smiled a little.

"I would ask you to explain what all that means, but you know what, don't even bother. I rather have a duel that sit through a lecture so ready to get your game on?" he then replied. Tara looked in horror.

"No, Zane you can't have a duel. You are not well yet" she said slowly. Zane just smiled and placed a arm around Tara's shoulder and pulled her into a hug.

"I am not leaving from here with regrets" He said and let a hand roam through some of her locks "And I have two. A final epic duel, like the one I had with your brother Tara, and that you are beside me when I duel". Tara looked stunned at him.

"But Zane, there is a chance we can save you" she said slowly. Few tears were beginning to show in her eyes now. Zane smiled a tiny smile.

"I know, but there is also a chance that we are not able to. I am not waiting" He proclaimed and removed a tear from her eyes "Please Tara, let me do this. I live for dueling. Just like you and Jaden once did. I want to show you the excitement of it, so you finally can duel without fear". Tara sniffed a little. She remembered Aster's words from the cave "A man must do what a man must do". She figured that Zane was having one of these moments right now. Even if she tried, she knew she couldn't stop him. Zane wanted to duel. Tara's heart was racing with fear now. She hadn't gotten over it yet. She was still afraid to duel. However she still nodded.

"Then duel then. I can't stop you. But you can't make me leave you either" She said in a little voice "I am staying.. by your side in this duel". Zane smiled at her.

"Thanks Tara. Thanks for your understanding" he replied and turned towards Jesse "That excitement, I only felt this twice. In a duel with Jaden and in a duel with Jesse. Only Jesse and I never finished our duel properly. I don't know who you really are, but you look like him and that is good enough for me. If you have Jesse's powers, then bring em on, so I can settle my final score". Jesse suddenly smirked.

"Interesting. Interesting indeed. So you are requesting a couples duel, since Tara is there by your side" He then asked. Zane and Tara both looked puzzled at him.

"Couples duel?" Zane questioned "You don't even have a partner, and Tara is not going to duel you". Jesse smirked.

"Oh that is a shame, and of course I have a partner" He said and looked at the door behind him "Ember how long are you gonna stay hidden? I know you are there. Don't make me pull you out of there". Tara's eyes widened by that.Ember! The door got a little more open and Ember walked out. She looked like herself, beside having some sad eyes right now. She walked slowly over to Jesse.

"Hello everyone" she said in a low voice and glared up at Jesse.

"Ember, what are you doing with Jesse? Didn't you say you were gonna take care of Jaden for me?" Tara questioned confused. Ember sneered angry.

"Do you think I want to be over on this side?" she yelled back "I was with Jaden and the others, when his pegasus kidnapped me. Now I am tied up with some weird magical strings to this Jesse that makes it impossible for me to leave". Jesse grinned.

"I love you too Ember" he said and smirked. He rubbed her hair a little. Ember sneered and stamped his foot a little. It looked like it didn't do much though.

"I don't love you" Ember sneered "I love Jesse and you are not him. Tara, this is Yubel. She has taken over Jesse's body". Tara flinched by that.

"Yubel" she said in a low voice. She finally noticed these orange cold eyes he was having, who resembled Haou's golden ones, but at the same time not. To say that Tara was not scared, was an understatement. She was terrified inside. Here was the spirit who had tried to kill her and do terrible things to her when she was a kid. Who said that it couldn't happen again? However Tara was not gonna scream up this time. She was having a little dignity. She didn't want Yubel to have that pleasure.

"Hello little Tara" she could hear Yubel say in a twisted voice that resembled Jesse's and her own "Have you missed me?". Tara shook her head and actually hit behind Zane now. It was surprisingly even for Tara, since right now she wanted to run away and that as fast as she could. She was not so brave with Yubel, when Jaden was not here. However she had still promised Zane she would stay by his side.

"You are frightened, I like that" she could hear Yubel say. Jesse grinned.

"So you are Yubel eh" they could suddenly hear Zane say "Well that gives me a lot more reason to duel you. I promised I would destroy the one who had hurt MY Tara all those years. Looks like that day is finally here". Tara looked stunned up at him. Where did he know that from? But Tara figured that maybe Pegasus told the others the truth then, or something. Jesse eyed Zane. Then he smirked evilly.

"Hehe, fine we will duel Zane" He then replied "I would love to crush something or someone Tara holds dear. You seem like a lonely spirit Zane. That's something you and I have in common. You can be the first one I will save. You see I will save all the lonely spirits. To unit the entire universe, so that no one feels the pain, that Jaden and his sister made me feel. Sooner or later, Tara will make you feel the same way, if she already haven't".Tara looked surprised at Yubel/Jesse. She didn't like this at all.

"Less talking more dueling" Zane replied coldly and activated his duel disk. The wish thread appears. "Your wish?". Jesse grinned evilly and activated his duel disk as well.

"I am wishing you to the stars Zane, you?" he replied. Zane snort.

"You Yubel get out of Jesse's body and goes to the stars. Also adding that you never lay a hand on the twins again" He replied coldly. Jesse chuckled.

"How amusing, you think you can prevent their destiny" He replied "But fine. It is not like you will win. But for that I will start". Zane shrugged.

"As you wish" He replied and looked at Tara "But Tara will stay by my side then".

"Fine, but that means Ember does as well" Jesse replied. The two males looked at each other and the duel began.

Jesse: 4000Lp.

Zane: 4000Lp.

Jesse drew and activated the field spell "Advanced dark". A dark circle with some weird symbols appeared around Zane, Tara, Jesse and Ember. Then he summoned "Advanced crystal beast amethyst cat" in att mode. Then he placed a card face down and ended his turn. Tara looked a little surprised by that. Yubel had apparently changed the whole deck of Jesse's into something more darker. She was not liking this. She was not liking this at all.

Jaden's p.o.v.

"Come back here your blasted eagle" yelled Tanja angry and swung a whip at it "Tell us where you took this Ember girl". Cobalt eagle squeaked and flew even higher, but were in range so they could see them. Jaden sighed deeply.

"Tanja, he said he could bring us to Jesse" he reminded her. Tanja snort.

"I don't believe it" the amazon sneered "When are a duel monster spirit good in this world Jaden?". Jaden looked at her and shrugged.

"But well it belongs to Jesse" He began, but Syrus placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Jaden don't forget Jesse's pegasus kidnapped Ember" He said "This could be a trap".

"I am agreeing with Syrus here" Bastion said "Where are we actually?". Jaden looked around. They were in this white sanded terrain again. He has a feeling he had been here before. In the horizontal the sun was slowly going down.

"Wait isn't that the door where the others are?" Yellow asked slowly and pointed in the horizontal where this creepy door was. Jaden's eyes narrowed.

"It looks like.. it looks like someone is dueling" Bastion commented.

"It looks like Zane" Jaden added "Who is he dueling?". Syrus looked in horror.

"He is dueling! Who is he dueling?!" he yelled surprised up. Jaden looked puzzled at him. Why is Syrus flipping out like that? Winged Kuriboh looked at them too.

"Kuri, kuri?!" it said slowly. Jaden nodded.

"Yeah, good idea we have to find out who" he then said and they all rushed towards the duel.

Zane had in the meantime begun with his move.

"You must not think very much of me. Why else would you summon a kitty like that?" Zane mocked at Jesse.

"You will find out if you manage to last long enough" Jesse mocked back.

"I aim too" Zane replied coldly and smirked "You can't scare me you know. My fate is written". He summoned his "Cyber dragon" to the field. However at that time Jaden and co. also arrived. They looked at the whole scenery beside them.

"Zane, No!" Syrus said worried. Jaden was more interested in his opponent.

"Jesse?!" he questioned confused "And Ember? Why are my Sister and Ember dragged into all this?". The others shrugged. Zane however didn't want to explain anything. He just attacked with his dragon and destroyed Jesse's cat. However because of it's eff, it stayed on the field in his s/t card zone. Jaden frowned.

"Weren't you suppose to lose life points?" Zane questioned Jesse.

"Normally I would have, but this field has some real nice benefits" Jesse replied and smirked "Like by sending a Crystal beast from my deck to the grave, I can negate the damage I take. I think I sent my eagle to the grave. Cobalt eagle come down here".

"Roger that master" Cobalt eagle said and flew into his card, Jesse was holding. Then he discarded it to the grave. Jaden frowned. This was not Jesse's way of dueling.

"If you want to damage me, try harder" Jesse mocked.

"I think I can manage that" Zane said and ended his turn with a face down.

"Why on earth are they dueling?" Bastion questioned. Crowler tried explaining, but in the end, he just shook his head and said he didn't know.

"Jesse?" Jaden questioned "We have been looking all over for you. What is going on man? Why are you dueling Zane? What's with Ember being kidnapped?".

"My brother has to stop this" Syrus then said "He can't take this". Jaden was puzzled.

"Why not Sy?" He questioned. Crowler and Syrus began telling about Zane's weak heart, which made Jaden's eyes widen. He actually wondered why Tara had let them duel. If Zane was sick then.. Jaden looked at his sister. She had small tears down her cheeks and was actually hiding behind Zane for some reason. It also looked like she hadn't noticed he was here. Jaden found that really strange.

"Hey you two, knock it off" He then yelled at them "No matter what you wished for, you have to call off the duel". Tara had finally noticed Jaden and looked at him with sad eyes. Zane snort coldly back at him.

"I can't" he proclaimed "I am a goner either way. If I am going out, I am going out, doing something useful, like dueling. I will make Tara's fear of dueling go away". Jaden looked a little shocked by that statement. My sister is afraid of dueling? Why haven't anybody told me. Furthermore why didn't I notice that..I Jaden shook his head. It actually made sense. All the destruction he caused. At some of the pictures, he remembered Tara had been there too. Jaden clenched his fists. Why wasn't I there for her? I was only thinking of myself. While trying to run from my problems. I am a terrible brother to her. He could suddenly hear Jesse laugh maliciously.

"I am glad you are watching this Jaden. I want you to see the pain. The pain you two gave me" He said. Jaden looked really confused now. Something was differently wrong here. Jesse drew and made his move. He summoned "A.C.B. Sapphire pegasus" to the field in att mode. With pegasus's eff he could call forth another crystal beast from his deck and place it in his S/T card zone. Like etc. "A.C.B. Ruby carbuncle". Since Ruby was special summoned, it could special summon itself on the field, as well as all other advanced crystal beast in the S/T card zone. Like Amethyst cat. Jesse then activated the "M-force" spell card. He equipped it to pegasus to give it 500 more att points. Then he attacked with pegasus, but Zane was ready. He activated the trap "Attack reflector unit". He could now tribute his cyber dragon to summon "Cyber barrier dragon" it it's place in def mode. It had 2800 def points, so Pegasus couldn't defeat it, and Jesse called off its attack. However by using Amethyst eff and cut his att points in half, his cat could bypass all Zane's monster and attack him directly. He lost 600 life points. Jesse placed down a facedown and ended his turn. Sweat was shown on Zane's face now, and Jaden noticed that Tara had grabbed him quickly and tried to rub some of the sweat of his face. It looked like he was in pain.

"I am okay Tara. I can handle it" he said slowly. Tara noticed his sister's worried face, but she did let go of him. Jaden was not liking this at all.

"Zane what is wrong?" Syrus yelled at his brother.

"That was not much damage" Bastion wondered "But he is taking it hard".

"He is in horrible shape" Crower commented "His heart already stopped once".

"Really?" Jaden questioned and now understood why they all were worried.

"Yes" Crowler replied "Even if Zane wins. This may be his last duel".

Tara's p.o.v.

Tara could not really explain how she was feeling right now. She was filled with mixed emotions. She was filled with fear of course. Knowing Yubel was here and that there were a big chance that Zane could die, filled her with a lot of fear. Then it was followed with regret. She couldn't believe she had agreed to let him duel in this condition. Then relief that Jaden and the others were back, and then lastly a little bit of more fear and a tiny bit of courage. Tara was still afraid to duel. She couldn't believe she was standing here, so close at Zane who was dueling a possessed Jesse while he was having a weak heart. She couldn't understand why it was so important to him. If she tried looking back, she could remember that her and Jaden both had felt that once at their first year on DA, but it was so long ago. Right now the only thing she could think of was, that one of them would get hurt. She didn't see this as fun anymore. Not like she used to. Secondly for her eyes the monsters properly looked more scary and evil. Like it would hurt her or something. Even Zane's barrier dragon looked dangerous, and it was on their team. However Tara still stared at the monsters with a tiny bit of determination once in awhile. After all if Zane could stand here, in this condition, then she could face her fear of dueling. Or at least that was how it sounded in her head. Doing it was a lot more difficult. Sometimes Tara couldn't stare at the monster than a minute before her eyes wandered over to Jesse/Yubel and Ember who was still standing beside Jesse. Like Tara she hadn't said much since the duel started. Tara understood why she hadn't said a word yet. She was petrified with fear. Ember on the other hand, why didn't she say anything? She was sending glare at Jesse or Yubel in this case, but she hadn't spoken after the duel began. Tara was frowning and in the end, came to this conclusion that maybe she couldn't. If Ember could, wouldn't she had yelled up or something like before the duel, and thereby broke Jesse's concentration? Tara figured Yubel had done something so Ember remained silent. She felt sad for Ember now. However the duel continued. Zane got hit by Amethyst attack and she saw how Zane groaned in pain. She couldn't stop herself from grabbing him and try helping with something. She was extremely worried here. She could feel Zane's hand at hers now.

"I am okay Tara. I can handle it" she could hear Zane say and she slowly nodded and let go of him. Zane didn't let go of her hand though.

"Just please stay with me. That is all I want. A epic duel with you by my side" he whispered slowly. Tara squeezed his hand a little. She was trying to say something here, but what do you actually say. Good luck? Knowing he was dying. That just didn't seem right. Then she could hear her brother talk suddenly.

"Jesse, what are you doing? Do you even know Zane is sick?" He yelled "What did you two wish for anyway?". Tara could hear Jesse grin.

"Of course I know. He told me" He replied and smirked "That is why I have wished for him to go to the stars". Tara bit her lip. She wanted to warn Jaden. She wanted.

"What do you mean?" Jaden questioned.

"When I destroy your friend, as well as your sister's boyfriend, I want you two to be watching. Then you maybe finally know my pain, my sorrow" Jesse said. Jaden looked stunned at Jesse. He looked actually scared.

"Jaden" Tara said in a loud outburst "It is Yubel. She possessed Jesse".

"Wait what?" Jaden got out and was staring at Jesse "Yubel..".

"Oh the little silent girl finally got the courage to speak" Jesse teased "How unfortunate. I actually like that you were silent". Zane sneered.

"And I don't. Tara, just talk as much as you want to" Her boyfriend encouraged "You also need to face Yubel sooner or later. You don't need to be afraid of her".

"Yes, Tara listen to him. You don't need to be afraid. Yubel can't hurt you anymore" Jaden yelled as well and stared at Yubel "Yubel if you need to duel someone then duel me". Tara looked from Zane to Jesse to Jaden and well back again.

"It is not your battle Jaden" Tara could suddenly hear Zane say "Put yourself in my shoes. Imagine it your time is up. Your energy is fading fast. Would you just wait for the end or duel?!". Tara was a little stunned by that. She remembered that Zane wanted to live life to the fullest. She sighed deeply and smiled a tiny smile.

"Zane, do your best" she then said slowly. Zane gave her a little hug.

"I intent to Tara" He said and smiled back "Watch me, I will take down his shields". Tara nodded quickly. She was actually a little eager to see how he was gonna do that. Zane drew and looked at the cards in his hand. He switched his barrier dragon to att mode and then played the spell "Polymerization". Tara could see the stunned look on her twin's face when he did. Zane fused his two cyber dragon's in his hand, to summon "Cyber twin dragon" to the field. Then he made it attack pegasus.

"You are wasting your energy" Jesse replied "Because of the field spell". He sended his "A.C.B. Emerald turtle" to his grave, and he took no damage. Pegasus got destroyed but returned to the field as a crystal, in his S/T card zone.

"Hm that is one down and two to go" Zane told him "My dragon can attack twice this round. Looks like your kitten is about to be declawed". Jesse snort.

"Fine, but I still won't take any damage" he pointed out. Zane's dragon attacked again and destroyed Jesse's cat. Like before Jesse sended a Advanced crystal beast, like etc. his "A.C.B. Amber mammoth" to the grave and he took no damage.

"You got one more monster left" Jesse mocked "Why don't you make it attack me as well?". Zane smirked at that.

"I actually think I will" He proclaimed and made barrier dragon attack and destroy Ruby. Like all the other crystal's it appeared in the S/T card zone. Just like the cat. Jesse sended "A.C.B. Topaz tiger" to the grave this time. Zane smirked and activated the spell "De-fusion". Now he had two cyber dragon's on the field.

"You won't learn" Jesse sneered "Your persistence annoys me". Tara's eyes widened. She realised that Jesse was out of crystal beast monsters in his deck. Zane could win this. She was actually stunned over how much soul Zane gave in his duel. Deep inside she was cheering him on like hell. Come on Zane you can win!

"You are out of shields now" Zane pointed out and smirked "Now my dragon's will finished you". Jesse sneered.

"You do know that your attack might kill Jesse right?" Jesse/Yubel pointed out. Tara's eyes widened again. She hadn't thought about that. The others hadn't apparently either. Ember's eyes were widened in shock that she could lose him.

"That is a risk I must take" Zane then said "I think he prefers to be free from you regardless the consequences. After all you can't use him against his friends any longer". Tara bit her lips. That was properly true, but Ember and Jaden wouldn't take this lightly. Tara shook her head. If Zane believed that was how he freed Jesse, then so be it. He attacked with his first dragon and got Jesse's life points down to 1900. then he attacked with the other. In the background, Tara could hear her brother yell.

"Zane, no! Jesse!".

If you were wondering why Yubel kidnapped Ember and made her be near the duel, you will see in the second part. Next part the duel continues maybe. Wonder if Tara gets the courage to duel again and face Yubel. The same with Jaden. Oh and hope you like my prophecy in the story. I will explain it later in the story.
