Ember's p.o.v.

Ember was sitting in Jaden's room and was looking out of the window. She sighed a little. The day has been quite interesting and strange at the same time. After Viper had told them about the survival duels, he said he was gonna tell them the rest tomorrow, and they were all dismissed. She had of course chosen to be with Jesse! She was still to shy around other peoples, and Jesse was the only one she trusted. However Jesse, had already making friends with Jaden Yuki! Ember was not sure how she felt about the brunette! The boy who resembled Jesse so much! They could be twins! However Jesse had decided to sleep in the slifer dorm together with Jaden, even through they had gotten rooms in the blue dorm. Since Ember didn't want to be to far away from Jesse, she had shyly asked Blair, if she could sleep in her room! The girl had agreed! Mostly because Jaden had asked her as well! Blair could never refuse a request from her Jaden sama. Right now Jaden and Jesse was sitting on the floor and was opening booster packs. Jesse had bought a lot of packs from the card shop! 

"Hey Jay look at this monster! Isn't it cool!" Jesse showed Jaden a card. 

"Yeah! Cool! Cheek this!" Jaden showed him a strong monster from the packs. Ember sighed a little. She looked at all the booster packs they had, and figured this could take the whole night. 

"Um Jesse! Um Jaden right!" She said shyly. However Jesse turned his head instantly at her. He had heard her voice even though it was low. He pushed Jaden a minute later. Jaden looked up as well.

"Um I will leave now! Um it is quite late!" She bowed politely. Jesse grinned. 

"Good night Ember! Sleep well! But aren't you forgetting something!" He said. Ember looked a little confused at him, but a minute after Jesse hugged her. Ember blushes lightly.  

"You always hugs me, when you leave me, or when we see each other again. So can't you do that, because Jaden is in here!". Ember smiled and hugged him back. 

"Of course I can!" She said out loud "I have just a lot to take in!". Jesse grinned.

"Um Ember, you had a warrior deck right!" said Jaden suddenly. Ember nodded.

"I think I.. wait a moment!" Jaden said and was looking around in all the cards they had on the floor. Then suddenly he smiled and grabbed 3 cards, and walked over to her. He placed them in her hand. Ember saw two warrior cards and one spell card. 

"Um a card from me and Jesse, and the last card from my sister! Even though you fought her, I hope we all could become friends!" He said and smiled. Ember looked at him for a moment, then snort. 

"Your sister is annoying!" She said, but then smiled "Annoying, but strong!". 

"Yeah!" said Jaden and grinned "Don't call her weak, and she will prove that she isn't!". Ember nodded and bowed again and thanked for the cards and left the dorm room. 

As soon as she was out, Haya appeared behind her. It was smiling. 

"New allies my lady?!" It said "Jaden and Jesse is almost similar, but there is difference!".Ember nodded. Jesse was a little smarter, and saw everyone as a family. Jaden was also caring, but more in a friend way, and you were getting a feeling that you could rely on him. Ember sighed. Maybe they could all be friends. Suddenly Ember heard some strange voice from the bushes. She looked around. 

"I can sense someone my lady! Want to face them!" the spirit asked "I am with you!". Ember thought about it. She had learned Karate, and self defence. Mostly if someone ever should kidnap her or something like that. Ember shrugged and walked down stairs. She was no coward. 

"Hey show yourself!" She said out loud "I know someone is here!". She was gone a little away from the stairs. Suddenly she could hear sounds behind her, and suddenly her eyes were covered. She could hear a voice grin. 

"Guess who!" It said. Ember bit herself in the lip. There were only one who could sneak around her, without her noticing. Ember sighed. 

"Stop your foolish games Gecko!" Ember sneered. She could hear the voice grin. 

"Bzz wrong! You have to call me by my first name!" She could hear Adrian say "Or I am not gonna release you, my dear Ember!". Ember sneered. She could properly kick his leg or something, but since they both had the same self defence class together, it would be a tie either way. She sighed. 

"Fine!" She said "Adrian release me please!". She could feel his hands move, and she could see again. She turned angry around and looked at Adrian. He was grinning. 

"Was that so hard?!" He said "We are friends right?!". Ember snort. 

"I don't recall that we two still are friends!" she said cold. Adrian grinned. 

"You are denying all like always!" Adrian said and sighed "I had hoped you were at least happy to see me! It is ages since we last saw each others!". Ember snort. 

"Now you have seen me! Goodbye!". She turned around, however Adrian grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a hug. 

"Adrian! Let me go!" She yelled angry. He smirked. 

"Ah don't be like that Ember! Is that a way to thank one who made it possible for you to enter north academy!" He said and smirked. Ember looked confused at him.

"What do you mean?!" she asked. Adrian grinned.

"Never wondered why your parents changed their minds!" He said. Ember looked in horror at him "My family sended that letter! Stating that I wished to enter an academy, and I wanted you to do that as well! So as a thank you! Just give me one of the hugs you gives Jesse!". Ember sneered angry and tried to get free. 

"No! They are only meant for Jesse! Let me go!" She yelled. 

"Hey what is going on here!" said a voice suddenly and Jesse followed by Jaden, Ruby and Haya appeared. Ember looked at Jesse. Adrian looked at him as well. 

"Nothing important!" Adrian said cold. Jesse looked from Ember to Adrian. 

"In my eyes, it looks like you are forcing her!" said Jaden "It doesn't look like she wants to be with you at all!". Adrian sneered. Jesse still looked from Ember to Adrian. He had a little puzzled look on his face. 

"Let my friend go!" He then finally said "Let Ember go Adrian!". Adrian snort. 

"You don't know anything!" He said, however right there, Ember hit Adrian with her elbow and got free from his grip. 

"I told you to never tell them!" She yelled and grabbed Jesse hand "Come we are leaving!". Both Jaden and Jesse looked confused a minute, but then they followed Ember back to the dorm. 

Normal p.o.v.

Viper was lying in his bed in his room in the blue dorm. He was sleeping. A little bit after, he was tossing and turning. He was having a nightmare.

"Daddy! It is hurting! Help me!" yelled a voice in his dream. Viper woke up all sweaty and gasping for air. 

"My boy!" He said "My son!". Suddenly the childish voice, Jaden and Tara had heard in their dreams, was entering the room. It was grinning a little. 

"Don't worry mister! I will help you! But you first needs to help me!". Viper nodded and got up from the bed. He was looking at his Bio band. Soon my son! He thought! Soon we will be together.

Tara's p.o.v.

Tara, Jaden and all the other student was assembled in a class room. Viper was about to make an announcement. He told the students that they now should wear this bio band, who looked like a watch. Tara looked suspicious at it, but like every other student, Tara placed one on her right hand. Viper was telling them that it was monitoring them from now on, and that everyone would start with the highest score regardless who they were. They all had to duel in these survival duels once a day, and they would be evaluated by the bio bands. Their duels, the duelist judgement and fighting spirit. However if someone had a weak spirit or low score, they would have to switch dorms and if it happens a second time, the student would get expelled. Every student looked in horror. Even Tara was a little scared. 

"Sweet" said Jaden suddenly "I can duel every day!". Tara facepalmed. Everyone was worried beside Jaden that is. 

"Aren't you worried that you would get kicked out of school!" Jesse asked. Him and Ember was standing close at them, however Ember was sending her a cruel look. Tara sighed. She needed to tell this girl, that she was not interested in Jesse! Not like that. 

"Nah!" said Jaden and smiled "I will manage!". Tara sighed. She looked at the creepy  professor. Something was wrong with him. Tara sighed. Maybe she was really getting paranoid. Suddenly Viper was looking at her, but only for a second. Tara could feel goosebumps now. What was with him? She thought. However class was dismissed. 

"So Sis!" asked Jaden and placed a arm around her neck "Want to hang out later? At our usual spot!". They were walking away from the main gate, towards slifer dorm. Ember and Jesse was walking in front of them. However Tara noticed they were a little silent today. She looked at Jaden.

"Love to hang out Jay, but what's with Jesse and Ember! They seem down!". She said and Jaden sighed a little. He was looking at them also. 

"I am not sure! Last night Adrian, the new guy for the east academy appeared!". He began telling everything who had happened last night.

"Wait you two found them hugging!" She said "Or Adrian hugged her, but Ember didn't want that!". Jaden nodded. 

"Yeah that's what Ember told us, but I wonder if there is something more!" Jaden said "However Jesse! I am not sure! He is just a little down!". Tara looked at him. However suddenly Ember hugged Jesse. Jesse looked a little surprised. 

"Quit begin down!" She said in a really loud voice "I don't like that! Where is the energy you always have!". Jesse smiled a minute after. 

"I shall give you energy!" He said and tickled her a little. Ember began running away and Jesse after her. They were having a blast! Tara smiled.

"I think they both like each other!" Said Tara to Jaden. Jaden nodded "Maybe we should help them a little!". Jaden shook his head. 

"Ah ah!" He said "They have to do that themselves! Last time someone meddled, someone ended up hurt! You! So I am not gonna do that!". Tara sighed. 

"You are right Jaden!" She said. They continued walking. 

"Tara! Jaden wait up!" said a voice suddenly. The twins turned around and saw Syrus rushing towards them. He was out of breath.

"We have to stop this!" Syrus said in a begging voice "This is all so wrong. Viper is hiding something! All the sighs are there! The evil glare, deep dark evil voice! I have never heard a guy, who is good, with a name called Viper!". Tara looked at him.

"Ah Sy aren't you just overreacting!" Jaden said confused. Syrus sighed. 

"But what about this point system! If I get a low score, I am out of here!" Syrus said and sighed "I just thought I meant something to you! But maybe I was mistaken". Syrus rushed away.

"Ah Syrus!" said Tara, but Syrus had just left inside the woods. Tara turned towards her brother and looked angry at him. 

"Really good work Jay!" She said and sighed "You could at least care! Syrus is worried about being kicked out of school! He is not you!". Jaden sighed. 

"Sorry forgot!" He said "Never thought about that points system thing!". Tara sighed.

"You never do!" She said "I will run after Syrus! I don't think he wants to talk to you right now!". Then she left towards the woods. 

Axel p.o.v.

Alex was at a cliff, training. He was hanging in a rope from a tree who was hanging over the cliff edge and the sea. The rope was connected to a machine was stuck in the tree. However the machine was slowly destroying the rope, who was bound around his feets. However Axel was completely calm. He was warrior! He was trained by his father, to always face danger head on! Axel was a man of few words. He believed that action speaks louder than words. He was also Vipers old student, since Viper was a teacher from west academy. Axel drew a card from his duel disk, and was about to do that again, when a voice spoke. 

"Hanging around I see!". Axel looked up and saw his teacher Viper at the cliff looking at him. Axel pushed a remote, and the machine stopped destroying the rope and pulled it upwards. Axel landed safely on the ground a minute later.

"I am training sir!" He said and looked at his teacher. Viper only looked cold at him. 

"Impressive!" He said "But if you would like to show off your moves, I suggest to wait until the competition! I hope you remember our plan!". Axel nodded.

"To duel Jaden right! I am on it sir!" He said. Viper smiled a little. 

"I am not only going to ask you to duel him! Remember what your father thought you! Live your life as if you were in constantly danger!". Axel nodded. 

"I always am sir!" Axel said, but was a little confused about what his teacher was suggesting. Viper turned his back against him. 

"I want you to place the Twins in danger as well!" He said "Do something that makes his sister experience fear! Then duel Jaden! Make him so frightened for him and his sisters life, that he will unleash everything he's got! Attack and attack again. Even if it means you have to lose the duel! Your mission is to push Jaden beyond his limits and drains everything of his power! Do you accept this mission!". Axel looked at Viper. He could remember some words from his father"Remember this! When you have accepted a mission! Then you have to fulfil it despite the danger! You have to complete it, no matter what!". Axel smiled. 

"I accept Sir!". 

Tara's p.o.v.

"Syrus!" yelled Tara really loud "Where are you!". Tara sighed she was walking around in the woods, and was trying to find Syrus, but no luck. She sighed. Where in the world did he run of to. She sighed again. The sun was about to go down. Suddenly she could hear some weird sounds. Boink, Boink, Boink! It sounded like someone was hammering or something. Tara followed the sound and arrived at a lake inside a clearing. However the knocking sound was coming from a hammer. She could see a guy sitting close at a giant rock a little away from the lake. He was slamming with the hammer on the rock. Beside him was a alligator. Tara knew this was the guy from the South academy. Jim Cook and his alligator Shirley. Tara had walked inside the clearing, but Jim hadn't noticed. He was to focused to notice. However Shirley did. It growled loudly and walked over to Tara. A normal girl would normally look scared or run away, but Tara stayed where she was. A meter from her, Shirley stopped up and was staring at her. Tara did the same thing. A minute later Tara slowly, really slowly placed her hand on Shirley's back. Shirley didn't do anything. Tara patted it happily. She always wanted that. 

"Well you look at that!" said a voice suddenly and Tara lifted her head and saw Jim walking over to them "If it isn't one of the Tasmanian devil girls from last day!". Tara blushes lightly. She could remember the fight where Jim had grabbed her and Ember. However that was not before Tara accidently had hit Shirley on the head. 

"Um yeah! Um sorry about that!" She said and grinned "Um my name is Tara! I didn't want to disturb you". Jim just grinned and gave her his hand. 

"Ah don't sweat it mate! Names Jim! This is my partner Shirley! However it looked like you two don't need a introduction!" He said, smiled and patted Shirley "Looks like you got a new friend girl! Normally she will never let strangers near her! You must be special Tara!". Tara looked surprised at Shirley and patted her again. 

"Um I am a big fan of reptiles! Exspecially Crocodiles and Alligators!" Tara said and smiled "I had a monster card once called Cyber tech alligator...!". Tara stopped herself and looked a little sad. She didn't want to remember! Jim just looked confused at her, but a minute later he shrugged. 

"Sounds painful mate!" He stated "I am not gonna dig in it! This rock over here is much more productive!". He began walking over to the rock again. Tara followed. 

"Um what are you doing actually!" She asked. Jim had grabbed the hammer again and was slowly hammering on rock. He smiled at Tara. 

"I am an archaeologist! Or want to be! So I have studied it a lot!" Jim said "I am on a verge of finding some fossils in this rock! Shirley is giving me company! Isn't that right girl!". Shirley growled to his respons. Jim smile and patted her. 

"You welcome to stay mate!" added Jim "Shirley could need some extra company!". Tara smiled, but remembered what she actually came for, and shook her head. 

"I am actually looking for a friend of mine!" She said "But I will love to stay another time! With you and Shirley that is!". Jim just nodded. Tara patted Shirley one last time and left the clearing. So where could Syrus be then. 

Normal p.o.v.

Adrian was in his room at Obelisk blue. He was lying on the bed. He was signing a little. He was thinking about last night. He had bin waiting at the slifer dorm for Ember to show. He had always been a patient guy, so when she finally showed, he was so happy inside. However it was not his intentions to force her! It just happened! Then Jesse had shown up! Adrian was not sure about how he felt about the bluenette. He couldn't believe that Ember chose Jesse as a friend instead of him. Adrian sighed again. Maybe he was Jealous! He decided to get out of his bed and think of something different. On his deck was the bio band lying. He was properly the only one who hadn't put that thing on. Adrian opened a suitcase! Inside was a hightech pc scanning device and a phone. He picked it up and made a call. 

"Calling Gecko 1!" He just said and waited a little. He was son of the Gecko finance group (A rich company) and was actually here on a mission! Therefore he had a lot of spy equipments! Like that suitcase, which connected him to a submarine a little away from the island. His friend Ecco, a girl, was out there and was ordered to help Adrian in what ever he needed. (In some way I see adrian as a spy in Mission impossible sometimes)

"Gecko 1, proceed with your request!" said Ecco's voice in the other end. 

"I need an analyse!" He said and placed the bio band in the scanner. A minute later Ecco's voice was ringing in the phone. 

"Understood Adrian! But this may take a while! It is built really difficult!". Adrian thanked her and hung up. So Viper! What are you up to?

Viper was walking through the woods, aiming for the lap, he used before. However suddenly he heard something. 

"Who's there!" He said out loud, but no one came out. Viper shrugged. Maybe he was getting paranoid. He arrived at the lap, opened up a hidden door and walked inside. He was quickly followed by Adrian, but he couldn't get the door open. However Adrian decided to keep a close eye on Viper. Inside the lap, Viper was looking at the giant tank. Yellow orbs was floating inside of it now. Viper smiled. That duel with Jesse and Jaden had done a lot already. What the bio band really was doing, was extracting energy from the duelings and gathering it all inside the tank. (It was the yellow orbs inside the tank). However Viper's time was short! He may just have to raise the energy absorbing rate just a bit more. He smiled, but if he did that the student would pay a rather large prize. Viper smirked. He didn't care!

Tara's p.o.v.

Tara sighed inside. Syrus was no where to be found! Maybe she should quit! Maybe Syrus would get over his problem by himself?! Tara shook her head. She was no quitter! She would keep searching until she found him. Even if she had to stay out all night. She sighed again. Suddenly she could hear something in the bushes. She really hoped it was Syrus. She was actually really tired and a little hungry. However when a man in black skin and big nose appeared, Tara sighed. She looked at the guy. It was one of the new guys again. If Tara could recall, he was from west academy and his name was Axel. Axel looked at her for a moment and walked over to her.

"You are Tara Yuki right!" He asked quickly. Tara looked confused at him.

"Um yes?! Why?!" She asked. Axel smiled a little and took her hand.

"Your friend! I think I have seen him!" He said and began walking away with her. 

"Um you mean Syrus!" She asked. Axel just nodded. Tara had a strange feeling about this, but she followed Axel. They arrived at the cliff. He let go of her. 

"I think I saw him around here!" He said and smirked. Tara was a little confused. Where in the world were they? However suddenly she heard a familiar voice. 

"Maybe I am overreacting a bit! Maybe Jaden is right!". Syrus walked out from the forest while looking concerned at the ground. Tara smiled happy.

"Syrus!" She said out loud "I have bin looking all over for you!". Tara was about to run over to him, when Axel grabbed her hand. Tara looked confused at him.

"Tara!" said Syrus confused "What are you doing?!" He looked at her and Axel. Axel sneered a little. He rushed over to Syrus, but had still a good grip in Tara's hand. 

"Pipsqueak!" Axel said and sighed "Now I need to tire you both up!". Tara looked in horror, when Axel knocked Syrus out. Then he tossed him over his shoulder. 

"Wha.. what are you doing!" She said angry and tried to get free from his grip "Let me go! Let me go your big bully, big baboon...!". She was swearing a lot since she couldn't get free from his grip, and it didn't help hitting him. Axel looked only at her. 

"You are a tough one aren't you!" He stated and had a pretty tight grip on both of her hands. He slowly tied her hands together and then wrapped her into the ropes. 

"Of course I am!" She said angry "Why are you tying me up? What have I ever done to you?!". Axel smiled a little and tired her end of the rope to his belt, so she couldn't run away. Then he began tying Syrus as well. 

"Sorry that's my orders!" He said and began tying Syrus to Tara as well. They were back to back now. He dragged her over to the tree and tired her to the machine. 

"Lets see how tough you are now!" He said and kicked her out from the branch. Tara was screaming like hell. Thinking I am going to die! However the other end of the rope stopped her fall. She was breathing pretty hard. 

"Scream a little louder!" Axel suggested "I don't think your brother heard that!". 

"My brother!" yelled Tara pretty loud "So that is what this is about! Why is everyone always targeting him! I want to be the Hero just once! Not the victim here!". 

"To bad kiddo!" Axel said and left the cliff. However he was properly just out of sight. Tara yelled angry out loud. 

Ember's p.o.v.

Ember was sitting on the floor in Jaden's room and was arranging her deck. Jesse should actually had helped her, but he was more interested in the dino guy Hassleberry's card. Ember sighed a little. 

"You have a deck of dino's!" said Jesse happily "May I take a peek!". 

"Um sorry, but my deck is not open to the public!" He stated. Jesse and Hassleberry began arguing over that if Jaden told him to do so, he would. Hassleberry stated that he didn't do all things for Jaden. Ember just sighed. Jaden wasn't even here, but everyone was like he was the earth to them. 

"Ah that was a good bath!" Jaden said and walked in "Thanks Hassleberry for cleaning it!". Jesse grinned. 

"So you don't do what he says ehh!" Jesse stated and placed himself at the floor beside Ember again, and they began making combo. However suddenly Jaden's spirit appeared beside him. So this was the famous Kuriboh? Thought Tara and smiled. Haya appeared beside Ember now. 

"What are they talking about?" asked Ember her spirit. Ruby appeared behind Jesse. 

"Well Kuriboh tells Jaden, that his sister is in danger!" Began Haya explaining. The bird didn't say anything more.  Jaden had quickly got himself in his normal clothes and tossed Hassleberry his PJ. 

"Hassleberry!" Jaden yelle on his way out of the door "Wash my PJ, won't you?!". He quickly left the dorm. Ember, Hassleberry and Jesse, decided to follow as well, however they just had to wait for Hassleberry, because he should wash Jaden's PJ first.

Tara's p.o.v.

Tara was getting used to hang from a dangerous cliff now. She had stopped screaming. It could be a lot more dangerous things out there! She sighed. Then she heard the voice. Jaden's voice. He was calling her name! Tara could hear he was  getting closer and closer. She could see Axel now. He looked like he was waiting. Tara wanted to tell him this was a trap, but figured it didn't help. Jaden would still wanted to save her, despite the trap and danger. Suddenly Tara could hear a groaning voice coming from her back and knew Syrus was about to wake up. 

"Where I am?!" said Syrus groggy. Tara bit her in the lips. 

"Um we got tied up by Axel! So whatever you do Sy, don't look..!". She began. 

"Ah!" Yelled Syrus and moved like hell "I am hanging from a cliff! I am going to die!". Tara sneered out loud.

"I told you not to look down!" she yelled "And stop moving Sy! Our do you want to the rope to break!". Syrus instantly stopped yelling and moving. Tara sighed relieved. 

"Tara!" could she hear Jaden say and figured that he had arrived. Tara smiled.

"Jaden!" said Syrus happy. Tara could see Axel. He was looking at them. Tara could hear a conversation between her brother and Axel. Apparently he was challenging him to a duel. Jaden asked why Tara and Syrus was tied up. 

"Well I could just have asked you!" said Axel and smirked "But hanging your sister and best friend was way more fun!". Tara heard Jaden snort. She hoped that he knew what he was doing.

Jaden's p.o.v.

Jaden looked angry at Axel. In the background he could see Tara and Syrus hanging from the rope over a cliff. Jaden sneered angry. Why was people always targeting him? Just once he wished he could switch places with Tara. She could have all the pressure just once. Axel smirked and activated a remote. The machine the rope was connected to began moving, and was slowly cutting the ropes. 

"Wah!" yelled Syrus. He was really scared and began moving the rope. 

"Syrus I told you to stop moving!" Tara yelled at him. Even through Tara didn't sound scared at all, Jaden knew she was frightened on the inside. Jaden cleansed his fists, and asked Axel to release them. Axel only smirked, and said that he only would do that, if he actually won. Jaden sneered and accepted the duel. He noticed Jesse, Ember and Hassleberry in the background. Hassleberry was screaming something who sounded like "Let go of my dino queen!". He even rushed over to the tree, however Axel threatened them. If they walked one step closer, he would let Tara and Syrus fall down to the ocean. They couldn't do anything but watch. Jaden placed his deck in the duel disk and the duel began.

Jaden: 4000Lp.

Axel: 4000Lp.

Jaden started off. He fusion summoned "Flame wingman" to the field. Jaden placed two facedowns and ended his turn. Axel smirked. He played the spell "Blaze accelerator" to the field. With this card Axel could send a monster with 500 att or less to the grave, and then destroy monster on the field. He sends "Volcano shell" to the grave and wants to destroy Jaden's wingman, but Jaden activated "De-fusion" and gets Burstinatrix and Avian to the field. However since Axel's Shell is in the grave, Axel can use its eff. He pays 500 points and adds another Vulcano shell and uses Blaze accelerator again and destroys Burstinatrix. However because of his spell, Axel can't attack. He sets a card and ended his turn. Jaden sneered angry. His friend and sisters life all depended on him. He was not calm at all. Jaden summoned "Flip" to the field, and it had 1300 att because of its eff. Then he recklessly attacked with his two monsters. Axel was of course ready for him. He activated his trap "Fire wall". If he was attacked directly, Axel could now remove a monster from his grave and stop Jaden's attack. Jaden attacked with his other monster, but Axel did the same thing and cancelled his attack. Jaden sneered. Axel snort. 

"Is that the best you can do!" said Axel and sighed "I had hoped for a challenge!". 

"Oh please!" said Jaden and smiled "This tough guy mode is just an act. I know you are having fun! So am I!". Axel only looked at him.

"Um sorry to interrupt your chit chat!" said Tara suddenly and sneered "Will someone please take us down!". Syrus yelled in agreement. Jaden sighed.

"I will be right by your side sis! Just hang on!" Jaden said and facepalmed. Not the best choice of words. Tara snort in the background.

"We are hanging on, your idiot!" She yelled back "But we are hanging in a thin threat here!". Jaden nodded. It was Axel's turn. He had to pay 500 life points, to keep fire wall in play. Then he played the spell "Soul of fire". By removing his "infernal flame emperor" from his deck, out of play, he could deal damage equal to half of the removed monsters att. It was 1350 points of damage. However Jaden was now allowed to draw a card. Axel ended his turn by placing two facedowns. Jaden smiled. He was having a blast. 

Ember's p.o.v.

Ember looked scared at the scenario in front of her. Seeing Tara and Syrus hanging from a cliff over the ocean was not something she liked to see. Yes! She didn't like Tara that much, but that doesn't mean, it was okay to hang her over a cliff. Ember felt someone point at her shoulder and saw Jesse beside her. She blushes a little. 

"It looks like Axel is distracted!" Jesse said and smirked "Lets move out!". Ember nodded, and her, Jesse and Hassleberry began slowly nearing the cliff to save Tara and Syrus. It was Jaden's turn now. He played the spell "Fake hero". Now Jaden could summon Neos to the field. He contact fused Neos into "Flare Neos" and attacked with it. Axel was of course prepared. He activated "Burial from a different dimension" spell card. Axel could now takes his three monsters removed from play and sends them back into his grave. Then he removed a monster again from play, and activated his fire wall. Jaden attacked with Avian, but Axel does the same thing and cancelled the attack again. However now Jaden activated his "Contact out" spell card.  It splits Flare Neos into Flip and Neos again. He attacked with Neos, Axel cancelled the attack, however Flips attack succeed because Axel had no more flame monsters in the grave. Ember and the crew was at the tree, however they had to make Syrus silent or he was gonna reveal then. Jesse had climbed the three, and Hassleberry was right behind him. Ember was close at the edge, ready to catch Tara or Syrus, if they ever swung over here. However Ember was sure it never happened, because the rope was almost gonna break. 

"Ah!" said Syrus "Just once in my life, I wished that I was the hero! Not just the victim!". Tara snort at him, which made Ember listen. 

"I don't think you want to have Jaden's pressure!" she stated "There is always someone who is targeting me, to get to Jaden! I wish to switch places with him!". Ember looked a little surprised. Maybe this duel was connected in some way. 

Axel's p.o.v.

Axel was looking at Jaden. He was in deep thoughts. Jaden had in the start not impressed him at all. He had a deck with a lot of weak monster, who didn't look that special to him. However through the duel, Axel changed his opinion. He was a decent duelist! He would never back down from anything and was facing his opponent head on, without fear. Axel took a sneekpeak in the background. Of course he had noticed Jesse, Ember and Hassleberry, but he didn't mind them at all. They could save them if they really wanted to. He took a stolen look at Tara. The girl had bin brave, and faced him head on too, when he grabbed her. She hadn't given up for a second. Now hanging from the cliff, she was no longer screaming, but calm. On the inside she was properly scared, but so was he, when he was hanging there. You need to face your fear head on! She had the material to be a great warrior one day. Axel sighed on the inside. Father what would you have done?! He looked at Jaden, and knew what he had to do. To use his deck properly, he needed to face Jaden as a real warrior! He had dragged the duel on long enough for Viper. Now he needed to end this duel like his father, would have done. Axel took out the remote and stopped the machine. Jaden's friends was still hanging from the cliff, but Axel figured that the others would help them. Jaden looked at him. He looked confused.

"You saved them?" Jaden said confused "Why?!". Axel looked at him. He didn't need to explain himself. He only needed to duel. Axel drew and gave 500 lp's so that flame wall stays on the field. Then he activated the spell "Blasting Vein". By destroying one facedown card on the field, Axel could now draw 2 more cards. Since his "Fire trap" was the facedown card who got destroyed, its eff activated. Axel could now draw a card from his deck. Axel sends his blaze accelerator to the grave, in order to summon the spell "Tri blaze accelerator". He sends "Volcanic scattershot" to the grave, and activated his accelerator. Since Volcanic scattershot was send two the grave, Axel could load 2 more and destroyed every monster Jaden had on the field. He gives Jaden 2000 points of damage, leaving him with 650 lp's left. Axel then sets two cards and ends his turn. He sighed. Now it is Jaden's turn. 

Ember's p.o.v.

Ember looked at Jaden. He was really good, but Axel was not bad either. This could be close. Suddenly she could hear a voice in the background.

"Um someone who remember me! Or Tara!" yelled Syrus angry "I know I am not the hero, but come on! Someone help me up from here!". He was moving the ropes.

"Sy! How many times do I have to tell you! Don't move! We are hanging by a threat!" Tara yelled at him. Suddenly Ember could hear Jaden laugh like hell. He was having a blast. Ember looked at him. The duels at north academy was nothing like this. Suddenly a scream filled the air. Ember turned around. Syrus was screaming. The rope was about to break. Jesse grabbed the rope and fell down of the branch. Hassleberry had grabbed him, and Ember had grabbed around his waist. They slowly pulled them all upwards again. A minute later they were on fast ground again. They began removing the rope around Tara and Syrus. Jaden smiled. He was really happy that they were both okay. Jaden drew and summoned "Wildheart" to the field. It is not affected to traps. Jaden attacked with him, but Axel was ready and activated "Wild fire". By sacrificing 500 points and his accelerator, Axel can now destroy every monster on both their fields. Then he could summon a fire token. Jaden activates his trap "Elemental mirage" and gets wildheart back. Axel only had 300 lp's left. Jaden attacks and wins the duel. However suddenly something happened. Jesse and Hassleberry had just released Tara and Syrus, when Axel had grabbed his chest and fell to the ground. Jaden had looked at them for a moment and then fell to the ground as well. Tara and the others rushed over to him. 

"Hurry we need to take him to the infirmary!" Hassleberry stated and grabbed one of Jaden's arms and placed it over his shoulders. Jesse had grabbed his other arm and they rushed over to the infirmary. 

Tara p.o.v.

In the infirmary.

Tara was sitting on a chair near Jaden, who was lying on a bed in the infirmary. Jesse and Hassleberry was explaining what had happened to miss fontaine. She couldn't believe that Jaden would go unconscious from just dueling. Tara was just half listening. She was holding Jaden's hand and was just waiting. Syrus was yelling something about that he would return back to the red dorm, and never leave Jaden's side ever again. Tara was thinking about doing the same thing. She was really worried about him. However she couldn't decide! 

"Hey why are you all staring at me!" said a voice suddenly. Tara looked up and saw Jaden awake in the bed. However he still looked tired. Tara hugged him. Jaden got a little surprised, but hugged her back, while smiling at her. 

"Jaden! I was so worried!" Tara said. Jaden smiled and was patting her back. 

"It is okay Tara!" He said "I am just glad you are okay too sis!". Tara wiped her tears away and smiled at him. Jaden sqeezed her hand. 

"I am tired!" He said and smiled "Gonna sleep a little bit more!". Tara nodded. However she was not gonna leave Jaden's side until he was better. She was determined at that!
