A,N: I know that I am shorting the endings of the duels sometimes. I figured that people already knew how it is going to end anyway.

Tara P.O.V

"Welcome to the Obelisk Blue girls dorm" said the two girls and smiled. "This is your room"

Tara was a little stunned. These two girls, Mindy, a short black haired girl and Jasmine, short red haired girl, had just showed up out of nowhere at the Ra Yellow dorm. Luckily, Tara had just finished packing before they arrived. The two girls had asked Tara, in a pretty harsh voice, if she was ready to move to the Obelisk Blue dorm. Tara had answered "yes" but she could clearly sense the negative vibrations from these two girls.

Tara was looking at her new room. Everything was in a beautiful blue color. Her favorite color. There was a giant bed in blue and a little table with matching chairs. A big window with blue curtains and a beautiful view over the lake. Tara was living on the second floor. And the best of all, the room was really big. She was loving it.

"It is beautiful," Tara said and smiled.

"Glad you like it" said one of the girls. "But there are of course some rules to follow"

They approached me. Tara turned around, but before she could notice, she was pushed towards the floor.

"Listen up, new girl!" said Jasmine in a cruel tone. "Alexis asked us to get you and show you the campus, but that doesn't mean that we will let you be friends with Alexis. Alexis is our friend, and we're not gonna share her with some wannabe duellist who just happened to beat her at the exam got that!" Tara nodded.

"Okay, so as long as you understand and don't approach Alexis without our approval, there is nothing to fear from us" said Mindy pretty calm. "Let's give you the grand tour" She gave Tara a hand and helped her up, but Tara could see the hatred in her eyes. This was gonna be a long tour.

Tara was back at her room. Mindy and Jasmine had showed her every section of the dorm. The girls bathroom, the sturdy hall, the dinner room and kitchen. Under normal conditions, Tara would have thought that the tour was awesome, but because she always got cold or evil eyes from Mindy and Jasmine, it made the whole tour very uncomfortable. Tara was really happy that she was back in her room.

Tara thought about calling Jaden and tell him that she was getting bullied, but she also felt that it was her mess and that she should fix it herself. In the end, she decided not to bother him.

Someone was knocking on the door. Tara opened the door and found Alexis standing outside of the door.

"Hi, I just wanna see how it is going. I hope you had a great tour with Mindy and Jasmine?" she said and Tara felt her heart race, but luckily Mindy and Jasmine was not there. Tara was relieved inside. Alexis was looking at her. Tara had a feeling that Alexis didn't have a clue about the two friends of her.

"Yeah, you've got a pretty big campus. It's amazing," Tara replied and smiled. "But...um...where are your two friends right now?"

"Hmm, oh you mean Mindy and Jasmine, right? They're with our headmistress, Mrs. Fortaine. Something about over using the girls bathroom. May I come in?"

Tara looked at Alexis. She was a really nice girl and it was not her fault at all. Even trough she would get in trouble afterwards with Mindy and Jasmine.

"Of course, come on in. I was just about to study on the test tomorrow," she said, even though it was a little lie she just said.

"Oh, maybe we can study together then?" she asked with a smile. "To be honest, studying alone is pretty boring."

"With pleasure" Tara said and Alexis walked into the room.

"...so if you did a combo with your cyber monsters and combined them with warriors, I think your deck would be better," said Tara, pointing out all the possible combos that Alexis could do with her deck.

"Hmm...I never thought about that before," said Alexis. "Maybe I should try it, just to see them for myself."

Tara and Alexis had been together the whole night and just talked and studied. Tara could not believe how easy it was to talk with Alexis. Tara knew they could be the best of friends. She had also forgotten all about Alexis' friends.

"It is getting late," said Alexis and gave a sad smile. "But maybe we could walk together at class tomorrow?"

"Unfortunately, I can't," Tara said, with a mock roll of her eyes. "I promised my stupid brother that we would meet before class. I do apologise for that."

Deep down, Tara felt awful for lying to Alexis. She wanted to hang out with Alexis and possibly make a new friend, but after the scary encounter with Jasmine and Mindy, she knew that she wouldn't be able to hang out long with Alexis.

"Don't worry about it, that's alright," said Alexis and smiled. "Truth be told, I know how you feel - I have a brother too, and he's always a handful. A sister always helps a brother in need"

Tara was surprised. So Alexis had something in common with her. "You have a brother?" she asked. "I didn't know that."

"It's nothing special, but it is late good night," she said and left the room really quickly.

What was that about? thought Tara but shrugged. She could ask Alexis in the morning.

Jaden P.O.V

Jaden, Chumley and Syrus was sitting in the cafeteria at the Slifer Dorm. It was in the middle of the night, and they were about to tell ghost stories. They had a deck placed on the table and was drawing cards. The higher the monsters level, the scarier the story had to be. Syrus had told a story about some rare cards and something about slimy swamp water. Jaden was not even scared. Jaden got a level one monster and he told a story about duel spirits and voices.

"When I was a little kid, I could hear voices coming from somewhere. When I looked around, I learned that the voice were coming from my deck. And you know what? I can sometimes still hear the voices of the duel spirits," he said.

Chumley and Syrus was just looking at him with blank stares. Jaden sighed in his head - guess some people still didn't believe him.

"What are you doing?" said a voice suddenly. Syrus was about to get a heart attack. It was the headmaster.

"Oh, professor Banner," Jaden said and smiled. "Don't ever scare us like that again! But we a telling ghost stories. The higher the monster level, the scarier the story!"

"Well then, I guess I'll give it a try then," Banner said, already preparing to draw a card.

"Sure, go ahead" said Jaden.

Banner drew a card. It was a level 10 monster. Banner was thinking. Syrus and Chumley was already scared.

"Have you ever heard about the Abandoned Dorm?" he asked. The others shook their heads. "It is a scary dorm that was abandoned many years ago. Even before I arrived at this island, there was a whole assortment of scary rumors about it. Something about shadow games and missing students. It is said that you can still hear the screams from the missing students, and if you ever enter the dorm...well then, you might just end up missing as well"

Syrus and Chumley was trembling in fear. Jaden was just excited.

"Really?" Jaden exclaimed, now looking excited as hell. "Now that sounds interesting". Professor Banner was just smiling.

"It's getting late, so I am going again," he said as he left the room.

"We are totally going to check that out tomorrow" said Jaden and smiled.

"You can't be serious," said Chumley and Syrus in union.

Late at night...

"Jaden, are you sure about this? Professor Banner did warn us about those shadow games. Let's just leave" said Syrus, clinging to Chumley for dear life.

"I like that idea" said Chumley. He was shaking like crazy.

"Hey, don't chicken out now" Jaden told them, smiling as he kept walking forwards through the forest. "Where's your sense of adventure? This is gonna be so much fun"

They arrived at the Abandoned Dorm. However, someone was already there. Upon closer inspection, it was the blonde duellist that Jaden recognised as Alexis.

"Alexis?" Jaden frowned. "What are you doing here?"

Alexis flinched and turned around towards Jaden and his friends.

"Jaden, why are you here? Don't you know that this is the Abandoned Dorm? It's dangerous"

Jaden was laughing. "Alexis, that's just a rumor. Shadow games and all that type of stuff doesn't exist" he said. Alexis looked angry at him.

"Yes, they do!" screamed Alexis. "My brother...he's one of the missing students from this Dorm. No one has ever seen him or the other students!".

"I didn't know you had a brother Alexis," said Jaden. He felt a little awful.

"Why don't we get back to the Dorm, Jaden?" Syrus said desperately. He was still pretty scared.

"Yeah, I like that very much" Chumley agreed. He was hugging Syrus.

"No way" Jaden stubbornly said, now more determined than ever. "Now we have a reason to go inside. Maybe we'll find something about your brother when we're  inside, Alexis."

Alexis snorted. "That's your choice, but don't say that I didn't warn you." She turned on the spot and walked away.

Jaden dragged the other two towards the Abandoned Dorm, even though they complained quite a lot about it.

Tara P.O.V

"What is it, Marshmallon? Why did you bring me out here in the middle of the night?!" asked Tara the little spirit, annoyed at the fact that she was once again woken up in the dead of night.

"Mell, mell" said the spirit and Tara sighed.

"I really hope you know what you're doing," Tara said and nodded at the little spirit.

Suddenly, Tara heard a loud scream and she ran towards it. She was smart enough to hide behind some trees. A man in a black coat with a weird mask on, had just hit Alexis on the head and dragged her towards the Abandoned Dorm. Tara and Marshmallon followed them, but when the man walked inside the Abandoned Dorm, Tara instantly stopped on the spot. It was pretty dark down there and she felt her god-forsaken claustrophobia fear build up. Marshmallon was looking at her sadly. It didn't want its master to get hurt down there.

God dammit, said Tara to herself, Alexis is down there. Pull yourself together!

She took a deep breath and walked inside. Hoping that someone would drag her out again. Marshmallon followed her. Tara could hear screaming and could see some lights that was shining bright. She followed them. She found her brother and that weird masked guy duelling, but there was something wrong here. Jaden had no monsters on the field, but at least he had two face downs. The masked man had two Archfiend monsters - Infernalqueen Archfiend and Terrorking Archfiend. However it was not the duel that bothered her. It was the look in her brothers and the others eyes.

They looked scared.

The arena was covered in smoke, but that was it. Why were the others so scared? It was the opponents turn. Because of Jaden's Mirage of Nightmare spell card, Jaden was allowed to draw until he had 4 cards in his hand. The drawback for using that card however was that the moment it became his next turn, he had to discard the same number of drawn card to the graveyard. Luckily, Jaden used the spell card Emergency Provisions, which granted him one thousand Life Points for each spell and trap he sacrificed on his side of the field. He chose to sacrifice Mirage of Nightmare, and since it was no longer in effect, Jaden could keep his cards for the next round. His opponent attacked, however Jaden countered with Mirror Force, destroying his opponents monster. Sadly, the masked man resurrected his Terrorking and attacked Jaden again. He lost two thousand Life Points, leaving him with only one thousand Life Points left.

Tara didn't know what to say. Her claustrophobia was already in motion and she had a hard time breathing. She looked around. She needed to find Alexis fast. On the masked mans side, there was a coffin. She looked at the duel again. First at the man, then towards Jaden. Finally, she understood: Alexis must be inside the coffin and Jaden was duelling the man for Alexis's freedom. Tara took a step closer.

"Who's there?!" the masked man bellowed, and turned his eyes towards Tara. The others were also looking. Jaden was surprised and looked scared at her.

"Tara, what the hell are you doing here?! This place is too small for you. Your claustrophobia - " Jaden exclaimed in horror. "Get out of here! NOW!"

Funnily enough, her brother didn't move a inch. What was wrong with him? Tara was gasping now.

"No!" she said with a dry voice. "I saw him take Alexis. I came down here to help her"

"So your sister came to join us in this shadow game, eh?" the masked man asked sadistically.

Shadow game?! Tara though in shock. That's what's going on?!

Suddenly, a bright light appeared out of nowhere. Tara closed her eyes. She opened them again and saw...her brother! His body was beginning to disappear. He had already lost one arm and half of his leg. Was this the reason why he couldn't move. Tara walked, almost running towards her brother.

"Jaden!" she cried out, still gasping for air. Jaden was looking at her.

"I told you to get out of here, if something happens - !" He said but was interrupted by the masked man. He was laughing evilly.

"Your sister can't leave now - you must beat me in the shadow duel first!"

"Fine then, if that's the way you want it, then it's my turn, and I am gonna make this fast!" Jaden shouted. "I am using a spell to return my Avian from my grave, next I use Polymerization to Fusion Summon Elemental HERO Flame Wingman!"

Jaden attacked the mans monster and gave him 2100 points of damage. The masked mans body began to fade as well. Jaden summoned Dark Catapulter in def.

The man resurrected his stupid Terrorking again. Tara though that, that monster was pretty annoying. The man sacrificed his monster and summoned another Archfiend. Something with lightning in his name. It attacked Jaden's Wingman. The shadows took a hit of Jaden's body again.

"Jaden..." said Tara. Her body was beginning to shake. The same light appeared again and.. Tara could see her brother was having a hard time breathing. He fell to the ground. Tara quickly grabbed her brother and felt...something wasn't right.

"Kuri, kuri" said a voice and Winged Kuriboh appeared.

"Mell, mell" said Marshmallon and he appeared as well. They were shinning around in the room. Shining around Jaden and the masked man. Tara looked surprised. She grabbed Jaden's shoulder and lightly slapped him on the face.

"OW!" Jaden yelled and woke up, a hand on his slapped face. "What was that for?!"

"Jaden, this Shadow game isn't real, it's just an illusion." She pointed at Winged Kuriboh and Marshmallon. Jaden looked up, surprised. He got back up on his feet, but Tara fell down to the floor, desperately gasping for air, and she was shaking. More than she did last time.

"Tara!" Jaden exclaimed. He hugged his sister. Jaden had a warm body. "I told you to leave."

Tara was smiling at him. "Please just win, it makes no different now"

Jaden P.O.V

Jaden nodded. He used his Catapulter's ability and destroyed the mans field spell. He told the others that he was tricked and destroyed the item which caused the illusion. The man was trying to getaway, but Jaden was not gonna let that happen. The man had hell to pay for taking Alexis prisoner and making his sister sick. It was payback time! But suddenly, the room was shining and a black vortex appeared. Jaden could only think of one thing. His sister. He ran towards her and grabbed her, before they and the masked man was dragged into at dark sphere. Jaden looked around. It was dark in here. Suddenly, a horde of black ugly monsters was surrounding them out of nowhere. The masked man got possessed by these monsters.

"Jaden" his weak sister said. "Watch out"

The monsters attacked them as well. Tara grabbed her brothers hand and something weird happened. A strong blowing wind appeared out of nowhere and blasted the monsters away from them. The monsters approached them again. Jaden didn't know what just happened, however the two duelling spirits appeared again, and they shielded Jaden and Tara.

"Tara and Jaden Yuki..." said the masked man now, his voice sounding like three people were speaking at once. "The shadows crave the taste of souls. Let's continue our duel..."

Jaden looked confused. How on earth did this man know their last name?Jaden gently placed his sister down. Marshmallon floated protectively next to her.

The duel continued. In the end, Jaden won the duel by summoning one of his more powerful monster's - Elemental HERO Bladedge. The little black monsters consumed the man in mask and he disappeared. Winged Kuriboh and Marshmallon created a hole in the sphere, large enough for Jaden and Tara to leap through it.

Chumley and Syrus had freed Alexis from the coffin and they all left the Abandoned Dorm.

Alexis P.O.V

"And you are sure you can carry my sister to the girls dorm all by yourself?" Jaden asked in concern. "My sister is pretty heavy, despite her small frame."

"Shut up, Jaden!" Tara snapped, but her body was still shaking. Alexis looked at Tara and Jaden. They had a nice brother and sister relationship, thought Alexis. It reminded her of her relationship with her brother.

"Yeah, I can manage" said Alexis. She was holding Tara and wanted to support Tara on the way to the girls dorm. She needed to repay her debt to them.

"Alright then," Jaden said and sighed. "I wish I could help, but it's the girls dorm. No boys allowed."

Alexis was just smiling. A little bit after the boys left, Alexis and Tara slowly walked towards the girls dorm.

"Sorry, Alexis" Tara said in a drained voice. "I don't mean to be such a burden."

"What are you talking about?" Alexis asked and gave her a reassuring smile. "Jaden told me that you wanted to save me, even at the risk of your own health. That's not a burden. That's the very definition of brave."

Alexis could hear the girl mumble something which sounded like, "Thank you." Alexis just smiled.

"Alexis..." Tara began to speak again. "Your brother... has something happened to him?"

"Yeah..." Alexis sighed sadly. "He was at this Academy too. One day, he and several others just vanished. Like the other children at the Abandoned Dorm. No one knows what happened to them." Alexis sighed again. She really missed her brother...

"I want to help you find him," said Tara, the same determined look that Alexis saw on Jaden appearing on her face. "It's hard losing a brother. I mean, I couldn't imagine a life without Jaden."

"Well, that's what a siblings bond is," Alexis said. "But sure, you can help if you want. But first - you need rest." She could hear Tara sigh.

"Let's just hope our headmistress doesn't see us" Tara grumbled. Alexis grinned.

"Yeah, she can be pretty dangerous sometimes! Let's get inside before someone finds out"

The two girls rushed, as fast as they could in Tara's current condition, towards the girls dorm. They didn't notice that someone already had spotted them.
