Tara P.O.V

Tara slowly woke up and found herself inside a fluffy bed at the infirmary.

Her brother Jaden was sitting in a chair next to the bed and was sleeping, his red jacket on the back of his chair. He was lying on the bed with his head in his arms, and was lightly snoring.

Tara was smiling at him, but suddenly got worried. How long had she been here? What about Chazz and his group? What happened to them? Tara was trying to move her body out of bed, without waking up Jaden. He was snoring so peacefully. However suddenly she heard a voice speak.

"I wouldn't move just yet. Miss Fontaine's orders." Tara looked around a saw Zane. He was sitting in another chair in the corner and smiled at her.

Tara's heart skipped a beat. What was wrong with her? Zane got up on his feet and stood right next to her bed.

"How long...have I been in here?" Tara asked, her voice low.

Zane shrugged. "About a day or two I suppose." He said and looked at Jaden and shook his shoulder. "Hey Jaden. Jaden. Come on, wake up." Jaden shot right awake.

"I'm up! I'm up, Teach!" he said really loud and looked around wildly. Tara was laughing a little. Jaden looked at Tara and smiled in relief.

"Sis, you're awake. Thank god, I was getting seriously worried" he cried out and grabbed her hand.

"I'll get Miss Fontaine," Zane said and left the room. The twins nodded.

"Jaden, what happened? Zane said I've been in here for two days," she said.

"Well after you passed out, I gave Chazz and the others the scolding of their lives. After that, Zane and I rushed to the infirmary, where you were immediately treated. Miss Fontaine told us that you needed as much rest as possible. Or your body needed rest, however that...works," Jaden said. "I've been in here with you ever since. Zane came over a few times after classes and such, so that was greatly appreciated."

Tara smiled, but also felt a little guilty. She could see the dark circles underneath his eyes: the result of not sleeping for days.

"I know what you're thinking," Jaden said and smiled reassuringly. "You feel guilty because I didn't attend to class, right? Don't sweat it, I'll be back on track as soon I make sure that you're alright."

Tara just nodded. "What about Chazz and the others? What happened to them?" said Tara concerned.

Jaden looked a little angry. "Well, none of them were expelled, since I asked Crowler not to do so. However, after Bastion defeated him, Chazz chose to leave the school after the humiliation for it all. On his own free will of course. His henchmen are here still, but had received detention for the rest of the semester. As for Jasmine and Mindy...well, after Alexis gave them a big scolding, she reported them to Miss Fontaine - much to their dismay - and they were placed in detention as well, for the remainder of the year for their actions towards you. After that...I'm pretty sure that they won't be bothering you in the future, so you won't be bullied like that again."

Tara's eyes kept getting wider and wider, until Jaden finally finished telling her what happened. Finally, no more harassment or cruel encounters from Jasmine and Mindy, she thought to herself. Justice had been served...but it made her feel sick to even feel or think that way. Sure, she wished that they would be punished for their actions, but never to the point where they would be expelled.

"On that note, why didn't you even tell me, Alexis, or Zane for that matter, that you were being bullied?" Jaden looked a little bit angry but also concerned. "We could've helped you if you'd have just told us."

Tara told him everything now. What had happened and all the times she was trying to tell him. Jaden was listening and when she was finished, he gave her a big hug.

"You stupid idiot. You know you can tell me anything, even if I am occupied or doing things somewhere else," he said, still hugging her. "You're my sister, Tara. If you're not happy, then I'm in the same boat as you."

Tara hugged her brother back. She loved her brother.

Normal P.O.V

(A,N: I know that the plot is not totally correct here. So please just deal with it.)

And then a great many things happened. Miss Fontaine entered the room, doing several tests on her to make sure she was okay and fit to leave the infirmary. Alexis and her friends came by, and Mindy and Jasmine - under the still livid gazes of their disappointed friend Alexis, and the arm-crossed, anger faced Jaden - apologised for their behavior.

The phrase "how the mighty had fallen" instantly came to Tara's mind. She could actually see how they had been stripped of their cruel facade's and attitude's, and were truly sorry for their actions against Tara. It turned out that Alexis had threatened to end their friendship with her for good, if they didn't stop doing what they were doing. And if Tara knew anything about Alexis, it was that Alexis stayed true to her word. So with that threat, Jasmine and Mindy were forced to apologise and never do anything harmful to Tara ever again.

Tara had already forgiven Jasmine and Mindy, but Jaden - going into his brother act - actually looked at them with a stoney expression.

"I'm giving you two the benefit of the doubt," he told them in a stern tone. "Be thankful that Tara has forgiven you. But I'm warning you right now - if you EVER do anything like this to my sister again, you'll find out that I'm not as forgiving as her."

Jasmine and Mindy nodded frantically at that, not wanting to anger Tara's brother again.

After that, Alexis said they could all be friends from now on. Tara agreed. After the tests, Tara returned to the Oberlisk girl dorm. Tara, however, never met Zane again for a while, which was a shame, because she wanted to thank him for saving her life. Even through she had this weird feeling. However, the life of the Academy was going pretty fast. Jaden had saved Jasmine from a monkey called Wheeler, who was a science experiment and could duel. In the end, they also helped the monkey. Yugi's deck was also on tour, but got stolen by a student from Ra Yellow called Dimitri. Jaden and the crew however got the deck back. Jaden even got Alexis as a fiancé in a duel against a tennis player duellist. However, much to Tara's embarrassment, Jaden didn't even know what that word fiancé meant. Tara was not even trying to explain, and Alexis told him it meant friend, for now. Time passed and soon it was the winter holidays at Duel Academy. Here begins the next step of the story...

Tara P.O.V

Tara and the others, which happened to be Syrus, Jaden, Chumley and Professor Banner, was sitting in the cafeteria at the Slifer dorm, and grilling marshmallows.

They were just hanging out. It was winter holiday and Jaden had asked Tara to join them, because most of the people from the Obelisk Blue dorm was at home during the break. They had chosen to camp outside tonight too. Tara looked at the marshmallows. It looked like her little spirit, so she was the only one who ate a sandwich.

Jaden and Syrus was having a duel. Jaden would win of course, but suddenly a Obelisk boy student was crashing through the door of the cafeteria. Tara recognised him as Tori, who was fighting with a Ghost themed deck. He looked beat and scared out of his mind.

"Help me! He's after me!" he screamed. The others rushed towards him.

"Hey, are you okay?" Jaden asked. "You look like you've seen a ghost or something"

"I have!" Tori screamed. "Jinzo...that duelling spirit is after me!"

Everyone all looked confused at Tori after his frantic burst. Tara felt excited. She always wanted to meet or get a Jinzo card.

"What do you mean?" Jaden and Tara said in sync. Professor Banner had arrived.

"Professor Banner!" the boy said, furiously trying to explain everything. "Duel spirits are real. Just like you said"

"You're absolutely right, Tori. How about you tell us what happened?" Professor Banner said.

And Tori began telling them about how they were trying to bring a duel spirit to life. The heard a weird voice and saw a message on the ouija board they had. "Give me three and I will be set free," and they all agreed.

They thought it meant cards, but it was actually three human sacrifices the message meant. Tori's two friends had disapeared and now it was Tori's turn. Tara could see that he was frightened. Tara felt truly sorry for him.

"Are you sure that they're not home for winter break, Tori?" Jaden asked.

Tori shook his head. Tara was trying to comfort the scared Tori.

"I called my friends parents, and they said that they were not there. I also tried to leave the Island, but when I arrived at the ship, he was already there. Jinzo!" Tori said in a frightened voice.

Tara was angry. She wished she could show that spirit a thing or two about taking humans.

"Well, it looks like we're safe here," Jaden said.

But of course, what Jaden just said was a jinx sentence, and whenever you say a jinxed sentence, something bad was bound to happen.

And lo and behold, something suddenly did happen: the lights left the cafeteria. It was struck by lighting. Suddenly, they all could hear an evil grinning voice, and suddenly, Jinzo was standing in front of them.

He was dressed in a coat and a black top hat. In his arms, he had the unconscious Tori. He grinned again and left the cafeteria.

"Oh, no you don't! Come back here!" screamed Tara and Jaden in sync again and rushed after Jinzo. They found Tori lying on the ground at the power plant. Another lightning flash appeared and Jinzo had appeared. He looked flashy. Like he shouldn't belong here.

"Jinzo, let the boys go!" began Jaden. "If you want a third sacrifice, then take me"

"Should you taste better than this human? " Jinzo was pointing at Tori. "Hmm, your lifeform seems to have more power. I think I'll take you up on that offer"

"Okay" said Jaden. "But you'll have to beat me in a duel first"

Jinzo and Tara both looked at Jaden. Tara sighed.

"Hold on, Jaden. I want to duel him" she said.

Jaden looked confused at Tara, and Tara gave him a pointed glare. "You owe me remember?"

Jaden sighed and nodded. "Why do you want to duel him?"

"Come on, you know I'm a big fan of Jinzo!" Tara practically shouted and looked at Jinzo. "So, how about dueling me, Jinzo?"

Jinzo looked at Tara. "Interesting, but why should I duel you? You're powerful too, but the boy is a little more powerfull than you. I want to duel the boy"

Tara smiled a sly smile. "Then how about this: You duel me and if I lose, you get us both. ME and MY brother" said Tara.

Jaden looked shocked at her. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Are you out of your-?!"

"Let me finish," she snapped at Jaden, before turning back to Jinzo. "But if you lose, you set the boys free and become part of my deck. How does that sound?" Jinzo looked at her.

"Um Tara...you do realise that you've just made a very risky bet, right? I don't want you to be taken," Jaden said, concern in his voice.

"And I can't live without you," Tara said and gave Jaden a hive five. "But I won't lose, so he is not gonna take us"

Jaden smiled. "Then go get him sis" he said.

Tara looked at Jinzo. "Do we have a deal, Jinzo?" She asked. Jinzo grinned.

"Well, you both are tasty...fine. I shall duel you" Jinzo screeched in that static tone of his and the duel began.

The others looked concerned at Tara and Jaden.

"I hope they're ready" whispered Professor Banner. "This here is going to be a shadow game"

Tara: 4000Lp.
Jinzo: 4000lp.

"I will start" said Jinzo and he summoned Malice, Doll of Demise. Then he is used the spell Ectoplasmer: by sacrificing his monster, he dealt eight hundred points of damage to Tara. A huge white ghost surrounded both Jaden and Tara. Tara felt a jolt around her body. It hurt a little.

"Are you okay, sis?" asked Jaden in concern. Tara nodded. "Okay. But don't let your gaurd down. Thats a Continuous spell".

Tara nodded and draw. "I'm summoning Avatar of the Pot in att mode (1000 att)." Tara smiled. She then used the monsters eff. By sending Pot of Greed to the grave, she can draw three new cards. She placed four cards facedown and attacked with her monster. Then she used Ectoplasmer too and dealt Jinzo sixteen hundred points of damage. It was Jinzo's turn. He summoned Malice, Doll of Demise back from the grave, because of its eff. Then he summoned another monster (1600att) and attacked the twins. Tara revealed her first facedown Widespread Ruin and chained it with the spell Emergency Provisions and gained one thousand  Life Points, and destroyed Jinzo's second monster. Because that monster is in the grave, Jinzo could take a card from the deck, and so could Tara. However, Jinzo stil had Malice, Doll of Demise and hit Tara with sixteen hundred points of damage. The monster used the Axe to attack and it flew around like a boomerang. It first hit Tara in the stomach and then later on, Jaden in the back and returned to its owner. Jinzo then used Ectoplasmer again and dealt eight hundred points again. Tara could again feel the ghost around her and her brother and the same jolt from before.

"Jaden, Tara!" screamed Syrus. "Look your bodies!"

Tara looked down at her feet and saw...that they were flashing and beginning slowly to disapear. It was the same with Jaden. Jinzo grinned evilly.

"You remember our deal, right?" said Jinzo. "Half of your lifepoints are gone. And so are half of your life force. And it taste's good."

Jaden and Tara looked annoyed at him. Instantly, they took each others hand. Tara felt a strange power. It was the same feeling Jaden had in the Abandoned Dorm.

The wind was blowing. Tara drew. She used the spell Mystical Space Typhoon and destroyed Ectoplasmer. She then summoned Gene-Warped Warwolf with Call of the Haunted and attacked with her monster. Jinzo only had 400 lp left. It was his turn. Jinzo summoned himself by sacrificing Malice, Doll of Demise. He attacked and destroyed her monster. It was Taras turn again. She placed a monster facedown. It was Jinzo's turn. He summoned a new monster with 1000 att. Jinzo used the spell called Amplifier. He was no longer bound by his own eff, and could use trap card again. Jinzo then attacked Tara's facedown monster. It was Morphing Jar and she could now draw a whole new hand, (five cards), but so could Jinzo. Jinzo's other monster attacked. Tara and Jaden could hear the monster scream. It was so loud. Tara had a feeling her ears would get destroyed.

The rest of their bodies began flashing. The only thing that didn't flash were their heads. Jinzo placed a facedown. Tara's turn. She summoned Giant Soldier of Stone in att mode and attacked Jinzo's lower monster. She then placed a facedown card. Jinzo attacked Tara's monster. Tara used her newest facedown: the spell Book of Moon and switched her own monster in def mode. Her monster got destroyed. Tara drew again. She used the spell Graceful Charity and drew three new cards, but then had to discard two of them.

The card that she kept was Marshmallon and it appeared around Tara and Jaden. A little bit after Winged Kuriboh showed up, and both spirits was wishing them good luck.

"Spirits" Jinzo commented with a cruel voice. Tara and Jaden was sending him a evil look.

"They're our friends" Jaden and Tara barked in sync again. "And spiritual seconds".

"That's why they don't need human sacrifices to stay here in our world" Jaden said and looked at his sister. "Show him, sis"

"With plessure" Tara said and continued the duel.

Tara sent two cards to the grave to use the Fairy of the Spring spell card. She took Mystical Space Typhoon back in her hand and used it. She destroyed Amplifier and Jinzo disapeared with it. Tara summoned a monster and attacked. Jinzo was trying to resurect himself from the grave with Call of the Haunted, but Tara revealed her last facedown card Trap Jammer and destroyed Jinzo's trap. Tara's monster attacked and they won the duel. However, suddenly a bright flash appeared out of nowhere. The twins and the rest of their company had to close their eyes. When the blast had disapeared, the two boys had appeared and was lying on the ground next to Tori. Tara and Jaden smiled at each other and let go of each others hand. On the ground at Tara's feet was a card lying.

"A deal is a deal, Earth Girl..." Tara could hear and she looked down and took the card. "I will assist you, but don't think that I want to have anything to do with you, besides duelling" said Jinzo and snorted. Tara smiled and took Jinzo's card in the deck holder.

"I'll remember that, Jinzo" Tara said. "But who knows? Maybe you will accept me as your friend."

Tara could hear Jinzo snort again. They began walking back to the Obelisk Blue boys.

Back at the Slifer Red dorm...

It was already night fall. Jaden and Tara was lying beside each other in the sleeping bag and looking at the stars. Chumley and Syrus was lying a little away from them, and they were snoring. The two twins grinned when the heard Chumley mumble something about grilled cheese. Tara looked at her brother.

"Jay...you know that uncle has invited us to come at their place for this winter break, right?"

Jaden frown for a moment when Tara mentioned their uncle. "Yeah...what about it?" he said with a little hard voice.

"Why did you chose to stay here?" Tara asked in curiosity. "I don't like him, but you've always liked him when you were younger. So why?"

Jaden looked at her with a sad smile. He took some grass and was tossing it up in the air.

"I'm still mad at him Tara," he said. "And second of all, it's not really fun without you. The day you forgive him, Tara, and decide to meet him again, I'll gladly follow you, but until then, I'm staying right here with you."

Tara looked at her brother and sighed. Her uncle was the only person in the world she could not forgive.

"It's going to take time," she said in a mumbling voice.

Jaden smiled at her. "Take your time then," he said. "I have a question to ask you though."

"What is it?" Tara asked, curious.

Jaden grinned a little. "Have you fallen for Zane Truesdale?" he said pretty fast.

Tara's face blushed again. It happened everytime she was thinking about him.

Jaden chuckled. "You've so fallen for him" he said, still chuckling.

"I...don't know...what you...are talking about!" Tara said with fury in her tone. "I don't like Zane at all!"

Jaden was still grinning. "Your red face says different. How about telling him your feelings?"

"Oh,yeah, like I'm the one to talk. You don't know what a..." Tara stopped herself. She was about explain the word fiancé to Jaden. Whoops!

Jaden looked curious at her. "What? What were you gonna say?" Jaden said, sounding pretty excited.

"Nothing. I'm going to sleep" she said and turned her face away from Jaden.

Was she really in love with Zane. No, that couldn't be right.
